Living Life (Part 4) (Sweet Pea x Reader)
A/N: Sorry this took forever, i’m a mess lol. Also sorry that this is short, but that’s just the way this chapter works. Working on a Sweet Pea x OC involving magic (i’m so excited for that)!!! Hope y’all enjoy!
Y/N’s body bolted up, breathing heavily.
The moon shined into the room allowing her to vaguely see her surroundings.
She was in a room she didn’t know, under a blue comforter, feeling as if her vocal chords were ripped out.
Suddenly the door to the room banged open.
“What happened?” she recognized the voice as Sweet Pea’s.
The light in the room came on and she could see the look of concern on his face. How is eyebrows were narrowed and his eyes seemed darker than normal, his stance prepared to attack.
“I don’t know,” Y/N mumbled.
“I heard a scream, did something happen?” he questioned.
“No, I just bolted awake, I feel out of breath and my throat sure does hurt right now,” she said.
“Did you have a nightmare?” he asked.
“Not that I can remember,” she sighed.
“Do you realize that you’re crying?” he asked, now his voice softer.
She raised her hand to her cheeks and felt the wetness.
“Oh, I guess I am,” she said, wiping her hand on the comforter.
“Sorry for waking you up,” she said, turning to him.
“Don’t be at all. It’s fine. Are you okay though?” he asked.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine,” she said, leaning back onto the headboard of the bed.
“Has this happened before?”
“Not that i’m aware of, but who knows,” she responded.
“Okay. Well, if you need anything let me know. Goodnight,” he said, turning off the lights.
“Goodnight Sweet Pea,” she said laying back down as the door closed.
Y/N laid there, thinking about what the hell just happened. She didn’t remember a thing. She didn’t remember having a nightmare, but it almost felt like she did.
The feeling of being away from the house she grew up in came to her attention. She felt odd. The thing she thought of doing for years finally happened and she couldn’t believe that she managed to pull it off. It still felt odd. She wasn’t quite happy or content yet. Sure, it felt better to be out of the horrific life she lived for so many years and she was grateful to be out of it, but when you only know one thing for so long and you finally leave it, its scary; and that’s what she felt.
Y/N was getting more and more inside her head, thinking about the decisions she’s made and how to move on with her life. She felt scared.
Y/N slowly got out of the bed. Through the darkness she made her way through the room and opened the door. She walked into and down the dimly lit hallway until she stopped at the living room where the figure of Sweet Pea was. He was laying on the couch, the TV’s light casting a bluish light onto the room. His head turned and his eyes widened when he noticed her standing in the kitchen.
“Hey, are you okay?” He asked, sitting up. She shook her head as she slowly walked towards the living room. Sweet Pea turned on a lamp and turned off the TV.
“What’s wrong?” He questioned as she sat down on the couch next to him.
“I’m so scared,” she said softly.
“What are you scared of?” Sweet Pea questioned, confused.
“Of all of this! I mean I’m glad to be out of the horrible house I lived in for so long, but something just feels wrong. Something feels out of place. A part of me feels like this was a mistake and I should have just sucked it up and tried again later,” she rambled.
“Hey, its just change. This is different, it’s okay to be scared. You made change fast. Also, it’s a good thing you made it out when you did. Your mother tried to do something even more horrible to you and you got away from it. If you didn’t, well, who knows what would have happened,” Sweet Pea said to her.
“I just feel so weird, I don’t know how to describe it. I feel almost like I fucked up my life even more and that this wasn’t my path to go down. I feel like I don’t belong,” her voice shook.
“Y/N, you’re a Serpent by blood. You belong here, just like the rest of us,” Sweet Pea said.
“Then why doesn’t it feel like it?”
“Because you’re telling yourself that it doesn’t! This is all scary I know, but believe me when I tell you that you belong here. You have a whole family here you belong with now! Toni, Jughead, Fangs, me, the serpents! We’re all here for you,” Sweet Pea exclaimed.
Y/N sat there silently. She turned her head to face Sweet Pea and smiled weakly. She threw her arms around Sweet Pea and hugged him.
“Thank you Sweet Pea.”
