judo kick

TLC High School head canon/AU

Not your normal high school AU, but rather the Rampion Crew as high school teachers

Cinder- The shop/mechanics teacher. Has a crush on the cute principal, but doesn’t act on it because she’s thinks it’s unprofessional (but really she’s too scared to make a move).

Kai- The Principal of Commonwealth High and he has a pretty big crush on the shop teacher. Very afraid of the principal over at Lunar Academy.

Scarlet- The botany teacher, often seen with the hulking PE teacher. After school she also coaches the women’s judo team (and they kick ass every year)

Wolf/Ze’ev- The physical education teacher. Coaches football during the fall and wrestling in the winter. Likes to eat from the botany teacher’s garden (especially the tomatoes).

Cress- The shy computer teacher who also volunteers as the school’s IT person. Programs the handsome econ teacher’s computer to randomly break down, so she can come and fix it for him. Vocal director for the Spring musical.

Thorne- The econ teacher. He often teaches his students how supply and demand works (his favorite example is with soap and spaceships). Stops by the shop frequently to visit his best friend, but takes the long way so he can walk past the computer lab.

Winter- The psychology teacher who is also volunteer coordinator. She often brings animals to work with her to soothe her frequent panic attacks. Visits the school nurse very regularly.

Jacin- The Health/anatomy teacher as well as the school nurse. Very sullen except when his favorite patient comes to visit (and when the IT girl comes to fix the computers). Head of security for the Spring musical.

Iko- The ecstatic art/drama teacher who always visits the shop and the main office (to get the scoop on the cute principal for her best friend). Director and head of make-up/costumes for the Spring musical.

Levana- The evil principal at Lunar Academy who is trying to take over the position of superintendent of the entire school district.

Describe your fighting style with an animal!

I’m really curious to think what the other budoblrs say.

As for me, I’d be a cat. Have you ever seen a cat fight? Even the to the largest of the family like tigers and lions they focus on vital targets and quick kills rather than strength. When ready and on the offense a cat will sink down its weight and prepare to lunge forward

This reminds me so much of how I sink my weight and go for a single or double leg takedown.  A burst of speed to close the distance effectively to engage in melee and to begin the conflict off on the right foot.

Remember that time you were petting your friend’s cat and it rolled on is back and bit/clawed the shit out of you? It happens to all of us.

Cats are more than willing to roll over and get on their backs in a “bad position” to use all of their body and tools to fight back. By doing this they can not only use their front claws but their lower ones as well! Plus the added benefit is that by doing this they can protect their back/spine and neck. This reminds me greatly of the Gaurd position from BJJ judo. I prefer to be standing but I’d rather have someone in my guard than having my back turned to them!

I’m not the strongest or toughest animal around so I have to rely on speed, the angle of attack and using all tools at my disposal to get the job done. Cats are also known for their flexibility which is important for most grappling arts.

A summary of my point:

So reblog and let me know what animal you think fits your fighting style!

It’s svtfoeweek! >>Day 4<< Saddest Moments

Mewberty and Destroying the Wand

“Goodbye, Star.”

This is an extremely happy and upbeat show (so far), so there’s not much sad moments to find.

It wasn’t just that she beat her, it was that Ronda was such a superstar, and when such a superstar gets beaten like that the whole world has to go ‘what?!”. It’s like when Buster Douglas knocked out Mike Tyson, it wasn’t that a guy got knocked out, everybody knows guys can get knocked out, we’ve seen Mike Tyson knock out a hundred guys, it’s not that. It was that MIKE TYSON got knocked out. Like it didn’t fit in our paradigm of how the world works. The world works, Ronda Rousey runs out, grabs girls, throws them on their head, arm bars them or knees them down, punches them in the face, knocks them out. But to see that happen the way it happened, Holly Holm fight the perfect fight and be so classy.
