thaenyhaehntarop8jrt-deactivate  asked:

I am a little confused about the movie The Grudge and want to ask an actual person and not google so that I can be sure I'm getting the answer I need lol. I have watched The Grudge but it was in English and the main character was some blond girl. Is that the American remake of The Grudge? It did not scare me and I found it boring so I was hoping if you could direct me towards the original movie? Perhaps I will enjoy it better, oh and with subtitles please.

Please do - not a lot of people appreciate the Japanese/original versions as much as I do and it makes me sad (for instance, I’ve yet to see any movie reviews of it that captured what I really felt about them and my English is a bit poor to write them myself ^^’)

Anyway, I’ll list all Ju-on movies for you in chronological order (which are all connected by the way):

(However, if your ‘confusion’ has something to do with “finding the origin if the curse” or something, you won’t find them here.)

*It also would have been better if you didn’t check out any of the American versions first cause there’s always 75% chance they’ll ruin these for you imho
