Inspired by this post by Lily Pebbles I felt sort of inclined to write up my two cents and share what eyeshadows I personally love for that ‘well done’, fuss-free look. Meaning one shade on the lid and dunzo. These shadows in particular I find are very easy to wear - all skin tones welcomed..
Foundation: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.75 [$62]
Brows: Tarte EmphasEYES™ For Brows High Definition Eyebrow Pencil Medium Brown [$32.98]
Lips: Laura Mercier Lip Stain in Sugar Violet [$67.50]
Eyes: Start out with MAC Painterly Pro Longwear Paint Pot [$21] all over the lid. Put Jouer Long-Wear Crème Mousse Eyeshadow in Moonlight [$30$25.42] in the corner of the eye. Sweep the pink shade in Dior’s Eyeshadow Palette in 566 Versailles [$62] all over the lid minus the corner. Define the crease first with the matte taupe color in Tarte Showstopper Amazonian Clay Palette [$38] then define it again with the shimmery eggplant color in the same palette. Bring those two colors down along the lower lash line. Rim the water line on top and bottom. Add several coats of mascara.
Cheeks: Contoured with the same foundation in a darker color and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal [$38] on the tops of the cheeks.
Jouer sent me a bunch of samples to try! They have amazing customer service. I’m already planning on buying a few of these products. The mini lip glosses are adorable. I have a full-size of the Lip Enhancer and I haven’t had chapped lips since I started using it. Thanks to Birchbox for introducing me to a great brand.
