Text: “When I was younger, I wish I would have known that there is a future.  I spent my childhood/young adulthood never able to imagine growing old, let alone growing old with anyone who loved me.  I couldn’t picture it because when I looked around nothing resonated with my internal experience.  What I’ve learned since then is that transpeople have tremendous challenge and, with that, opportunity.  We have an opportunity to imagine and create our own futures like almost no one else in the world.  It’s pioneering and along with this unchartered territory is incredible risk, a burden many of us choose to unload in sad ways.  But if you’re deciding whether to jump off this train or not because of the painful unknown, know this:  You are beautiful and perfect.  Your life adds value to this world.  You can do this.  You can grow old as the man, woman, queer, whatever it is you want to be.  Every morning you wake up, choose to love yourself and it will happen.” (Josh Klipp, San Francisco, CA, US.)
