This is an ask I saw sansalayned (thanks for the rec by the way <3)was given, and I just wanted to say something on the subject.

It’s impossible to really know the context that anon is describing as they offer no counter examples (which “certain characters” for example or compared to whom does anon think Arya falls short in “good”ness,) but there’s something really important to get at here.

Forgetting the actual haters, Arya is actually judged more harshly on a scale of goodness than many other characters for her killings. Part of that seems to be her gender, more of that seems to be her age (it’s more acceptable seeing an older character engaging in violence than a younger one,) but there is a serious pattern of judging Arya’s choices more harshly.
