My shape is a little wonky these days, but I’m so happy because I no longer have any rips or patches on any of my nails!!! It’s a personal victory for me. Anyways, I’ve been dreaming of spring despite the mini heatwave that Southern California is going through right now. This super easy dotted floral is from a tutorial by @mrcandiipants from years ago.

Ahem…hello there! It’s been a very long time since I last posted! I started a new job last month, and have just started to get comfortable enough with my new schedule to paint my nails! This set is a design that @ninanailedit created for CND and I loved it so much that I went out and bought all the polishes she used for it hahah. I hope to get back into the swing of a new mani every week, but we’ll see how that goes! For now, it’s just really, really good to be back.

ALSO! If you’re on instagram, please follow me @jodarling_nails! I’ve been back posting for a bit, so you’ll see manis there that I’ve already posted here, but it will eventually come up to speed :]

It’s my 5 year nail art anniversary!!! I honestly was going to give my nails a break and give them “The Chop”, until I realized that January 14, 2017 marks 5 years of seriously doing nail art. I’ve come so far, but I know I still have a lot of room for improvement. Thank you to YOU, for liking and reblogging my nails. It give me the motivation to continue creating. I figured an anniversary nail should combine all the things I love (white base, stone marble, green) and I love these!

But seriously, this is probably my last post for awhile hahah. My poor thumb nail is patched up and barely hanging by a thread, so I need to cut my nails down and let them grow out again. See you in February!

Stone-like textures have really been inspiring me lately! I wore my previous kintsugi set for an unprecedented two weeks (!!!!) before sadly taking them off in lieu of this geode/agate set. This is another one of those designs that I really think anyone can do, since wiggly lines create a more natural look. I also think that any color-way would look fantastic, so I highly recommend trying this!

Happy Halloween to all my lovely followers! As per my tradition, I have a galaxy mani on my nails. This year, however, I tried the constellation design made famous by @chalkboardnails! The best part of these nails? I added glow in the dark polish over the stars, so they faintly glow at night :D

I’ve been feeling incredibly down these past few days, so it was hard to muster up some creative juices to pump out a design. I figured that I could always return to my trusty stone inspirations, so this time I went with a soft pink and grey marble. I’m also testing out a new base coat (Butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat) so excuse the bit of streakiness and my ridges peeking through on my ring finger.

Happy October 1st everyone!! Even though it’s still basically summer here in Southern California, my nails are already transitioning to fall, specifically Halloween. This splatter mani is a re-creation of @chalkboardnails that she did way back when. I love how subtle this turned out, although my right hand is significantly more dramatic hahah. I’ve got a ton of inspiration lined up for October, so hopefully I can bring them to life for you all!

It literally feels like eons since I last posted. Not only have I just simply lacked inspiration to do my nails, but I’ve been job hunting as well. That means no nail art in order to look professional :[

Needless to say, I’m definitely out of practice! My clean up and line work is really bad here, and for that, I apologize. I did this manicure in a rush the night before to match a dress I was wearing the next day. I really love this gradient line design that is inspired by the one and only mrcandiipants. I feel like a lot of my designs are inspired by her hahah.

Hopefully I will post more! Thank you to everyone for sticking with me :]
