Here are some of the images I took while I was in India.
They always cheer me up when I’m down, but in a bittersweet way. I really do miss being there, enveloped in so many different cultures, some vastly different and others surprisingly similar to my own.

Gosh I really want to go back.

This is a musician playing a harmonium at the Nizamuddin Dargah, one of the largest mausoleums in India for Sufi Islam believers in India. The site is revered for being the tomb for one of the most revered saints in the religion, Nizamuddin Auliya. Sufism relies on a mystic approach to understanding an individual’s relationship with Allah, and remains on being one of the more liberal branches of Islam. The fact that music can be played and enjoyed is a very unique trait for not only a form of Islam, but for an Indian community to integrate with it in such a beautiful and reverent way because of some of more stricter form of Hindu or Brahman method of worship.
