I did the lead illustration for an article posted today on The Verge. The article is a fascinating investigation into the work of artist Lauren McCarthy and the possible future of our augmented realities. Google Glass, Mechanical Turk, online dating, sci-fi prophecies materializing, really interesting stuff! I got this assignment because of a personal piece I did a few months back that seemed conceptually relevant. So I repurposed it and came up with this.
In this illustration I appropriated three different photos made by Adam Ferris. He is an awesome photographer who applies data processing, color separation and other things I have no clue about to digital photographs. Check him out!
I haven’t had much time to draw lately because I’m helping out with my parents’ business, so I was glad to be able to finish this one.
