I’m Doctor Worm. I’m interested in things. I’m not a real doctor but I am a real worm, I am an actual worm. I live like a worm and I like to play the drums - I think I’m getting good but I can handle criticism. I’ll show you what I know and you can tell me if you think I’m getting better on the drums. I’ll leave the front unlocked cause I can’t hear the doorbell.
I’ve been in the process of moving and working on a lot of secret things and last night was the first night in like… 3 weeks(?) I’ve been able to just draw. So, inspired by all of Kelly’s Nami drawings, I decided to draw my own. Skypiea Nami is best Nami and also one of my anime girlfriends.
Just finished a quick fan art pic of Joe McGro’s characters Beans and Noodle. I was really impressed with the tease trailer for The Dollar Menu, and became more impressed lookin’ at Joe’s work. Both illustration/sketches and animation (his animation is really fluid, which I like).
I’m redesigning the character bio pages in my Space Girl pitch, so why not make a big 4-piece interlocking background, right? Most of this was done between 12am-4am over the last week and hopefully it’ll be done within the next 2.
I didn’t really mean to animate anything - I originally just drew Cassie looking down and then a happier looking up and somehow it started moving over the course of a couple hours. I guess this just happens sometimes.
I’d really like to do some more though, I miss animating.
When I started studying FLCL stuff and playing around, I ended up with a more rounded and 3-dimensional Cassie that I really like. But somewhere along the line Two started to feel like he was lacking some of the complexity and dimensionality that Cassie now had. So for the past week or two I’ve been playing around with Two’s design, making him more rounded, more agile, and all around sleeker. Unfortunately, the sleeker things got, the further he seemed from his original concept of an old, out of date robot. Combining elements of the 2 designs seemed like the best option and now I’m left with a more cohesive, old robot, with a slightly more retro vibe and fits well with the newer Cassie.
Even when I think I have these things figured out, just presenting a new idea into the mix can throw everything else out of whack, but ultimately I think it helps create a better project. I’m really excited to get things moving along and I think there will be a lot of cool stuff to show soon.
