Thank you Mrs. Swift for making our dreams come true. taylorswift
Loft 89… omg. The story begins when ‘Style’ started to play. Joelle and I were dancing and singing like crazy people to every word - as we were to every other song of the evening - when the line ‘and I got that good girl faith and a tight little skirt…’ dropped. The rest is just a blur of scenes in my head. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see none other than Mama Swift. As I tried not to faint she said, 'You girls look like you’re having a great time,’ and we died. She looked at Joelle and said 'Have you met Taylor before?’ Joelle said no. She looked at me, 'Have you met Taylor before?’ I said no as I tried to stop my hands from shaking. She went on with 'Well I have a question for you then… how would you like to come to Loft 89 after the show and meet her?’ I seriously think I truly learnt what the phrase 'died and went to heaven’ meant for the first time in my life. The lady with her gave us our wristbands and ticket with the instructions of where to meet. We continued to party to the rest of the concert and let me just say, when Taylor sang Enchanted, the whole moment was magical. After the concert, we met immediately in the designated section and waited to be escorted into Loft 89. When we walked in, there was pizza, drinks, a photobooth, and the jams were pumping. We waited for about - honestly I had no sense of time - before Taylor walked in. I watched in awe as she talked to each group and took photos. When it came to our turn to meet her, this was also a blur. I remember my initial thought was 'Wow, she is a doll.’ The whole conversation was at least 5 minutes and it was so casual, it felt like we were best friends. We took a picture with her and had one chance to get it right - I was so worried that it would be a bad picture but it ended up great. The fairy tales are 100% right, dreams do come true. I hope that many Swifties get the chance to experience something like this, here’s to good luck! xo
Young and beautiful Josie Schuller is the picture-perfect All-American wife – and also a cold-blooded assassin. When Josie’s employers turn their sites on her, they’ll soon witness the full ferocity of this married mother of two.
Why should you read it?
Described as Betty Draper meets Hannibal Lecter,
Joëlle Jones and Jamie Rich’s gloriously dark comedic series takes a scathingly satirical look at women’s inequality and the so-called blissful domesticity of the early 1960s.
I wasn’t too familiar with her work prior to this, but Joëlle Jones’ pulpy ink-splattered style is absolutely bewitching and you can almost feel the Klear floor wax and blood dripping off the pages!
Is the series complete?
Yes it is, but if you enjoy this series, Dark Horse Comics recently announced that there will be a second story arc coming soon!
