““Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails….” 1 Corinthians, 13:4-8, Bible New International Version”
Detroit, MI. There is always a movement here. A movement of music, a movement of automobiles, a movement of housing, a movement of schools, a movement of families, a movement of love and a complex movement of movements. On June 8, 2013 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, I was honored to witness a movement of love at the wedding of Dominique Morisseau and Jimmy Keys. From the opening scripture read by the Father of the Bride to the 1st dance by the newlyweds, we were baptized in Love. May we all be so blessed, may this movement reverberate in us all!
