jewelry making idea

Here’s how Julie (aka Mrs. Bean) makes resin jewelry out of my artwork. This is part 1 of a 3 part series. This first video talks about how to prep and seal your images, part 2 will be the actual resin work, and part 3 will be turning it into wearable jewelry. Hope you enjoy!

Country: USA

Hello! I’m Kira, and I’m a huge nerd. I tend to talk a lot about TV shows (like Steven Universe, Modern Family, Parks and Rec, The Big Bang Theory, etc), movies, and books. I’m a huge fan of writing, and I love to talk about stories that I’m writing and share ideas with other people. I’m also a jewelry maker who is studying geology (I hope to be a bench jeweler in the future). I speak English, though I am semi-fluent in French, and I plan on learning Japanese in the future.

Preferences: I’d prefer to talk with people older than 16, and I’d like to start out emailing (though I’m fine switching to snail mail in the future once I get to know you)

  1. mom was once interested in making jewelry
  2. she got a lot of stuff but gave up because it was “too hard” i.e. she didn’t know what supplies to get and also never actually made any jewelry
  3. I’m now interested in making jewelry

act 1:

  1. I spend all afternoon upstairs in the heat to organize the jewelry equipment
  2. I’m aiming to make beachy jewelry, something to sell to make a few bucks down at wilmy
  3. looking for jump rings, can’t find any
  4. looking for decent jewelry chains, can’t find any
  5. looking for decent beads, find some
  6. looking for glass pearls, can’t find any
  7. looking for head pins, can’t find any
  8. looking for jewelry tools, find five of the exact same thing in a box

act 2

  1. i come downstairs with my now organized beads
  2. begin to consult amazon for jump rings and head pins
  3. mom says “we have jump ring!!!!” and pulls out fucking 4mm jump rings
  4. i don’t know what exact size i need but these 4mm won’t fit the shells
  5. i explain this
  6. mom goes “these will do!!!!”
  7. i demonstrate. they obviously do not work.
  8. mom gets exasperated and walks away, saying, “don’t order any more jump rings!!!”
  9. i sigh and continue to peruse amazon for equipment

Once engaged, and later married, Jack starts unconsciously using his wedding ring as a comfort item. If he’s anxious or stressed he no longer clenches his fists, instead he folds his thumb to run over the smooth band on his ring finger while he takes deep breaths.
