I love the South. I love the drawl. I love the pork lard. I love too much salt and too much sweet. I love the humidity. There is a patina on Southerners. I think it is because of our very dynamic history. There’s a lot of pain that has happened in our history; a lot of mistakes made. But an unfortunate circumstance can turn into an opportunity for greatness. I think the South is great because of all the trying times- the tensions, hardships, wars, and riots. All those things really make a place… Well, for me it makes it home. There is grace in every sorrow. I think that is being Southern.

I can’t even begin to imagine something like that happening, I would probably die tbh, and on a sidenote as I was coloring this I was like “Oh my god Kirstin, can you please give us a break? You’re so frickin’ gorgeous all the time.”

Country Weekly Magazine did a Segment on Female Country Artists. This is the year they take back Country Music! A lot of labels aren’t signing as many female artists and a lot of radio stations aren’t playing their music because right now males dominate the waves. In order to take back the genre, we need some of Country Music’s biggest female names to help out the others! Together we can accomplish anything!!
