The standard ‘there’s so much heated disagreement’ trope in editorial cartoons is annoying at best, but as Trump has taken over the GOP and normalized the most vile things it has become more and more obvious what a shallow idea it is. Almost demonstrably false, I would say.
I mean, what sort of spineless shit must you be to think that civility is so much more important than calling out unvarnished xenophobia and misogyny? How do you hear about Trump ordering a military action and not being in the situation room and then turn around and say ‘Well, the Dems are pretty angry, so I guess nobody is in the right’?
‘Muslim ban? Well… well… emails!’
