Katie’s Note: I don’t care that it’s 80 some degrees outside, I’m going to write an imagine about wintertime.
You had lived in LA for a little over two years and still weren’t used to their lack of winter. You grew up in New York City. Luckily, you had enough money to run away to NYC for an extended amount of time during the winter for the holidays. This year your best friend Jc was going to spend New Years in the city.
You were walking with him showing him the sites.
“I can’t believe you grew up here.” Jc said.
“I can’t believe you didn’t. I loved growing up in the city. The holidays were always so much better here. The snow would fall and it would just feel magical.”
“Why did you move to LA then?” He asks as he casually grabs your hand to hold during your stroll.
“I don’t know. I guess I just needed a change of scenery. I thought it would help my YouTube career to be where everyone else was.”
“Are you glad you did?”
“I don’t know. Honestly, LA gets to be a little much. Not that New York isn’t any different, but I feel like in LA I’m not treated the same. Like all my friends there, I’m the one giving my all and I’m just used to people giving their all too, while it seems that I’m the only one trying. Then in New York, I feel like everyone is always upfront about their feelings and it’s not some love game while LA it’s a game to see who can hide their feelings the longest”
“Do you think that’s true with us?” He asks stopping you and grabbing your other hand.
You don’t say anything, silently getting lost in his beautiful eyes.
“I hope you don’t think that. I know I haven’t been upfront about our relationship, but I want to be. Hopefully this clears some things up.” Jc continues before kissing you. As your lips touched, snow started to fall and for the first time in two years, you felt the magic of the holidays.
Katie’s Note: I don’t know if I like it, but I hope you do.
