Could we talk about how Saudi Arabia destroys historical structures and areas that have been around for centuries because they think they go against Islam? Like so many cemeteries, shrines, buildings etc. have been razed to the ground in Mecca and Medina so they can build Las Vegas. Could you imagine the outrage if this occurred in Jerusalem or Rome?

It pains me so much to think about this for too long, and I can’t even believe it sometimes that so many historically relevant sites have been completely erased–these landmarks and sites hold religious value for Muslims everywhere, and so many of these places are considerably holy for Shia Muslims.

Here is a list of SOME of the places that have been levelled/destroyed by the Saudi Arabian government on the basis that these sites were not ‘islamic’

1. The house where Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born in 571 CE

2. In 1989, the house of Hazrat Khadija, the Prophet’s first wife, as well as the birth site of Bibi Fatima (AS) was sealed off and turned into a library.

3. The house of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Medina

4.  The house of Imam Ali (AS) where Imams Hassan and Hussain (AS) were born.

5. Parts of the well of Zamzam

6. The house of sorrows of Bibi Fatima (AS)

7. The home of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (AS)

8. The grave of Amina bint Wahb, the mother of Prophet Muhammad (AS) was bulldozed in 1998.

9. Jannat Al- Baqi was destroyed, only men are allowed access to it now.

10. Eve’s Tomb was sealed with concrete in 1975.

11. The grave of the Prophet’s father**** was destroyed.

12. Bibi Fatima’s (AS) mosque was destroyed.

13. The Mosque of Ali Uraidhi Ibn Imam Jafar al-Sadiq was completely destroyed.

the fact that hotels and strip malls and other buildings have taken place where these buildings used to stand is so heart wrenching.

tbh when people are like “how can any true muslim attack the burial place of the Prophet”

but salafi ideology believes revering the graves of prophets is shirk and they razed to the ground the grave of the Prophet’s only daughter Bibi Fatima (as) in 1925 (Jannat al Baqi), they also razed the burial place of Bibi Khadija (as) Jannat al Mualla in the same year.

and they literally condemn Shia 24/7 by calling us grave worshippers so

I wouldnt put it past “Muslims” to attack the Prophets (s) grave.
