You know how the first prayers were performed? The Prophet (ﷺ) taught Khadijah (رضي الله عنه) how to do wudu and then they prayed together… and that was the beginning of Salah. The history of the prayer we now pray five times a day - the tradition billions of Muslims honor for their entire lives- began as a family, as husband and wife praying together. Never underestimate the value of that!

If the Quran isn’t enough to change us and affect our hearts, then nothing else will. We need to stop looking for some out of body, supernatural, crazy experience. The Quran is THE ultimate experience.
Pick it up. Read it. Understand it. Live it.

Sometimes you’ll come across someone who isn’t the smartest, wealthiest, or most popular but they have the best Akhlaq (manners). Keep their company.
Ibn Qayyim rahimahullah talks about this, in terms of tazkiyah, he says, you have to focus on WHY you are doing this, and for WHOM you are doing this for, instead of exactly WHAT you are doing. Because you see, exactly what you are doing is a means to an end.
