Can you do a Jamie Benn imagine? Any prompt? Sorry I’m not creative😉 ps love your writing!
Prompt: “We’ll finish it the same way we started it…together.”
Jamie and I have been together for a long eight years. In those eight years, we’ve created some great memories. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had our up and downs. We’re far from perfect but we are perfect for each other. Jamie is the one I know I want to spend the rest of my life with. He’s the one I know I want to have kids with. Only problem, he hasn’t put a ring on it yet. But I think he’s about to pop the question though. I say that because he’s been talking about marriage more than often. And the other day, I may or may have not over heard him talking to Fiddler and Sharp about marriage and engagement rings.
I really hope he’s not joking with me. If it is, it would be a real fucked up april fools joke.
“Earth to (Y/N)!”
“Huh? what?” I said. It was his sister Jenny.
“She asked you what color you wanted” Jenny said, pointing towards the lady who was about to do my nails.
“Oh i’m sorry. I’m off in la la land.” I chuckled. I then picked out a nice, dark but to dark, green. “Jenny, can I ask what this all for? Its not everyday that Jamie sends me on a day of pampering.”
“Can a boyfriend treat his girlfriend to a day of pampering and shopping just for the hell of it? If I was you, I wouldn’t complain.” Jenny said.
“Don’t you think it’s a little strange? I mean this morning I woke up to have breakfast in bed.”
“He didn’t cook it did he?” Jenny said looking concern.
“Yeah he cooked it and it was actually edible!”
“He probably had Jordie make it.” Jenny laughed “But all seriousness, Jamie just wants you to enjoy your birthday.”
I smiled. After our nails were done, the next thing to do was shopping. Picking a dress wasn’t easy. It either didn’t feel right to me or I didn’t like the shape. We eventually went to another place. I was walking around, looking at the dresses when on stood out. It was a beautiful! It had long sleeves with a cute belt around the waist and a skirt that was lace and came about mid-knee. I went back to the dressing room to take it off, but Jenny stopped me.
“Keep that dress on.” Jenny said, handing me a pair of black heeled booties. She was acting strange but I shrugged it off. Once we left there, we got into this black SUV.
“Alright from this point on, you’ll be blindfolded.” Jenny said, tying a black bandana around my eyes. I was tempted to ask why and what the hell is going on, but I went against it. Soon the SUV stopped. Jenny helped me out the car and into the building we was at. As soon as we walked in, I was hit with cold air. I immediately knew was at the rink.
“I smell ice. Are we at American Airlines Center by any chance?” I asked.
“Yes we are.” By the change of voice, I knew It was Jamie. My blindfold was taken off and I was greated by bright lights. I actually had to blink a couple of times to adjust to the lighting. Once my vision turned to normal, I noticed that Jamie had both families -both mine and his- and the rest of our loved ones and friends behind him.
“Jamie, what’s going on?”
“I wasn’t really the one to believe in love at first sight. But when you walked into the bar that night with your friends, I just knew that there was something special about you and I haven’t even met you yet. Hell, I didn’t even know your name. In that moment, I knew I had to get to know you. We exchanged numbers and found out we had a lot in common.” Jamie paused “As time went on, so did our relationship. And our love for each other grew as well. You taught me that there was more to life than just hockey. You helped me understand that its okay for me not to win every game. Trust me when I say I appreciate it. Listen, I could go on and on for days, weeks, months even on how I love you but I know the group behind us is getting ansty, so I’ll ask you the question already.” Jamie said, grabbing my left hand and getting down on one knee. “(Your full name), Will you marry me?”
I didn’t even have to think of my answer.
“YES!” I whispered. It was loud enough for Jamie cause he took the ring out the box and slid it on my finger.
“SHE SAID YES!” Jamie shouted. It echoed through the AAC. Everyone soon gathered around us and smothered us with hugs. I couldn’t wait to be Mrs. Jamie Benn.
