Part 2
—-

You eyed the two men up in a heated debate as you glanced to your side, Your older brother the great George Washington sat by your side with a plain tried look on his face as the two men argued against each other with him occasionally stepping in and calming them to not explode on each other even though the two men debating sure wanted to.

On one side of the debate was the man you have known for a long while now. Known as Washington’s right hand man was Alexander Hamilton. He was a good man as you met him as soon as you visited George when the great battle of Yorktown had finished and they won. Although on the opposite side was a man you have read about before and heard your older brother speak about before, Mr. Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson to be exact. Thomas Jefferson was very handsome man to say the least. He had a very attractive face and from what you have heard had a very notable personality of his own. You watched interested into the debate that was happening as it was a topic you had agreed on with Alexander and it was interesting to see Jefferson counter Alexander as Alex usually spoke a mile a minute when debating.

The topic was about the controversy on if George should or shouldn’t send some of his troops to help with the Revolution that was currently happening in France. As you researched on the topic you found out that Thomas had left to France to help France with its Revolution, so it was simple to understand that he wanted to help France. Along with the idea that he believed that since France helped us once before and we should return the favor. Which was a good point but you personally thought that it wasn’t a good idea. Although most men wouldn’t take you seriously as for the simple fact that you were a woman.

You shifted in your seat as you watched the debate wanting to get up and speak to Jefferson yourself. You gently gripped the arm of your seat as your brother’s eyes shifted to look at you. Sympathy laced his eyes as he set as gentle hand on top of your own. He spoke quietly as to not distract anyone, “I know, I know. Try to stay calm alright?” He softly said as you nodded slightly as a sigh escaped your lips. George could always read you like an open book and even when you didn’t like it, he could always calm you down. You continued watching the heated debate as you sat at the edge of your seat listening to everything each one said. It was currently Thomas’ turn to speak.

“- stand with them if they fought against oppressors, and Revolution is messy but now is the time to stand.”

“Stand with our brothers as they fight against tyranny. I know that Alexander Hamilton is here and he would rather not have this debate. I’ll remind you that he is not Secretary of State!!”

Your face suddenly grew angry. Did he just insult the position that Alexander has? Sure Alex isn’t the Secretary of State but that doesn’t give Thomas the right to not let him speak his mind. If only she could go up and speak to him her herself. As if on cue her brother spoke to her, “Y/n. Don’t.” He said not wanting drama in this debate. You tried to stay calm and listened on holding onto the arm of your chair.

“He knows nothing of loyalty. Smells like new money, dresses like fake royalty. Desperate to rise above his station, Everything he does betrays the ideals of our nation!”

“Hey, and if you don’t know, now you know, Mr. President.”

You and Alexander had the same exact reaction to that part as the frustration was clear on your face and the same for Alexander. Unlike last time your brother was busy speaking as you grew angry. You looked at Jefferson as you and him locked eyes for a second, with him winking at you. A small light pink hue dusted your cheek. Damn his good looks. You heard George speak as your anger grew. “Thank you, Secretary Jefferson. Secretary Hamilton, your response.” He spoke easily as he was happy to break that part of the debate. Adrenaline flowed through your veins as you stood drawing the attention to yourself. George looked at you with shock as Alexander had a smug grin on his face with Thomas being shocked as well.

“Allow me.” You said dusting off your dress walking towards Hamilton’s side as you ignored the silent pleas from your brother to come back and relax. You walked the heels of your shoes clicking with each step you took in the silent room. You felt Thomas’ eyes on you. Alexander smiled at you as unlike other men he respected you for your debating skills. You nodded as he stepped aside letting you take center stage. You looked directly at Thomas with a serious glare as you spoke.

“Thomas, You must’ve out of your GODDAMN mind if you think. The President is gonna bring the nation to the brink, Of meddling in the middle of a military mess. A game of chess, where France is Queen and Kingless.” You caught your breath as Thomas sat there shocked unable to speak along with the complete room. The only person that wasn’t shocked was Alexander who wore a smug grins towards Thomas as you continued.

“We signed a treaty with a King whose head is now in a basket. Would you like to take it out and ask it? ‘Should we honor our treaty, King Louis’ head?’ ‘Uh… do whatever you want, I’m super dead.”

You stated the end of that part with no emotion as you sent daggers into his very soul as Alexander was flipping out in the background mumbling that you were amazing. You smirked as Thomas stood frozen in pure shock you opened your open to continue until George coughed then spoke, “She has a point, Hamilton draft a statement of neutrality. That will be all.” He said as he walked out into a room behind the chairs. She felt slightly bad that you didn’t listen to George but you felt proud of yourself. All the men who watch the debate left besides Jefferson, Alexander, and Jefferson’s friend James Madison. You smiled and hugged Alexander whispering a ‘thank you’ into his ear. He nodded as walked away as he had work to do.

You sighed and looked at Jefferson. He was still shocked as his eyes looked like it was still collecting the information of what just happened. You smirked as you walked up to Thomas your heels clicking and your dress moving side to side as you walked up to him. Jefferson watched you walk towards him although he was still in shock. You stood right in front of him as he looked down at you, “Y/n Washington, Pleasure to meet you Thomas.” You said smirking as there was a playful glint in your eyes as you spoke. You turned as you walked away leaving a stunned Jefferson and shocked James Madison to figure out what had just happened.

  • Washington: Have you got any enemies?
  • Hamilton: No. I’m universally popular and well-liked. Why would anyone not like me?
  • Angelica: I can think of a few reasons.
  • Madison: Definitely.
  • Jefferson: Shitloads.
  • Burr: …You annoy people.
