Things I REALLY want to say to James

October 15, 2016, Saturday [#42]

JAMES: I think we should take a break.

(Secret “talk to James” premium choice: 25 diamonds.)

MAIN CHARACTER: Um, no. You don’t just get to walk away without even listening to what I have to say.

MAIN CHARACTER: Professor Vasquez said that he would tell you at the right time. He specifically told me that he would tell you when he was ready to tell you. I stand by my decision to not tell you. It was Professor Vasquez’s secret, about his life, and the fact that he couldn’t bring himself to tell you sooner shows how much he cares about you. Not to mention that you’ve known him way longer than I have and you never noticed he was sick. Self-absorbed, much?

MAIN CHARACTER: And what do you mean, lying for months? Did you ever ask me if Professor Vasquez had cancer? No, you didn’t. So how did I lie to you? And, have you forgotten that you lied to your parents about who I was the first time they met me? Not only that, but you even had a whole fictional backstory prepared for me so that I could tell them the same lies you were telling them! If you want people to be honest with you, then be honest with them!

MAIN CHARACTER: Even though we didn’t know each other that well then, I still tried to go along with that so that you could tell your parents about your career once you were ready to tell them. Don’t you think Professor Vasquez felt the same way?

MAIN CHARACTER: Also, while I could go into the fact that you wouldn’t have an agent this early in your career if Professor Vasquez hadn’t thought of bringing her in to make my life more dramatic, instead, I’m just going to point out that I did my best to help you. I got all my friends to participate and we worked hard that week memorizing lines and rehearsing onstage, all to help you. Doesn’t that show how much I care about you?

MAIN CHARACTER: And instead of remembering that and giving me the chance to explain myself, you’re making decisions about our relationship without even asking me for my side or how I’ve felt these past months, as if I liked keeping that important secret from you! As if it was easy for me! Didn’t you think for one second that I might have been worried about Professor Vasquez, too?

MAIN CHARACTER: You said that you thought maybe you even loved me. But even after that, it’s this easy for you to walk away? If you don’t even respect me enough to talk to me like my opinions are feelings are worth anything to you, then fine. Walk away.

FIRST PIXELBERRY STAFF MEMBER: Hey, do you think we did the right thing when we deleted that premium choice from the final draft of the latest chapter?

SECOND PIXELBERRY STAFF MEMBER: I think we did, because it wasn’t really necessary. I don’t think the players will be too mad at James. After all, this is just a video game.
