I've been contemplating asking this and I'm really sorry if it's annoying but it's been on my mind and I kinda wanted to ask - why do you hate straight things so much? It sounds like a really lame question I'm so sorry you don't have to answer it if you don't want to but I'm kind of confused,, I'm so sorry if you already answered this and this is annoying or something aaA

as a queer person, i cant relate to the themes of most straight things on a fundamental level.

not just because theyre straight, but because of the plot lines that they follow that could only ever apply to straight people.

with hello, dolly! for example: 1. its horribly sexist, and 2. it follows straight archetypes and tropes to the dot, and it’s not….interesting? whereas most gay love stories are NEW and REFRESHING and also GAY (which in itself is new and refreshing in media!!!!)

plus seeing myself represented onscreen is fucking NICE!!! and seeing straight plots recycled over and over again isn’t

We coulda had a good life together. Fuckin’ real good life. Had us a place of our own. But you didn’t want it, Ennis. So what we got now is Brokeback Mountain. Everything’s built on that. That’s all we got, boy, fuckin’ all. So I hope you know that, even if you don’t never know the rest…I wish I knew how to quit you.

Shoutout to @reforge and @tumblrbot for answering too quickly and immediately ruining any chance of me getting the before picture. So now I will update with results as they come in. Not ideal, but adapting is a necessity in science
