Jace Hall Looking into Rebooting Condemned Franchise

With indie horror games being huge hits thanks to YouTube Letsplayers, Hall might be onto the right idea. Finding a talented indie studio to reboot (or develop a Condemned 3) could be mutually beneficial, and considering he owns the rights to the franchise, not a huge risk.

Go see!

The Guild

I was introduced to Felicia Day, not by her fantastically popular web series “The Guild,” or her recently announced web series based on my favorite game of all time,Dragon Age, but by Jace Hall: the obnoxious gamer/tv producer/web series creator/rapper that everyone loves to hate.

In his popular web series about gaming, comics, and all around “nerdness,” Day stole his creepy baby Jesus doll and held it ransom. It was one of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in a long long time. I wasn’t sure who Day was, but I knew she was involved in either gaming or tv, or both.

Then Bioware announced a live action web series developed and written by Day. “Dragon Age: Redemption” is set to premiere at E3 this year. So I went back and decided to look at Day’s previous projects - and was exponentially satisfied and impressed by her web series “The Guild.”

“The Guild” follows a group of socially awkward MMORPG gamers as they try to navigate their real lives - which, incidentally, turn out to be much more complicated than their virtual ones. (or are they?) What ensues is pure hilarity, with gaming jokes and characters that would make even the most naive gamer emit massive lolz. I watched all four seasons without stopping to breathe. Even better, the show, which is sponsored by Microsoft and Sprint, just got picked up for season 5!

I suggest going to watchtheguild.com to check out some episodes, or just type the guild into youtube.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.
