Chapter 8: Whispers In The Dark

It had been a very long time since Valentine’s Day brought about any feeling other than disappointment or utter disregard. But, the last four months had changed the way he felt about the sappy holiday. There was finally someone in his life who made him feel cared for everyday, and as much as Joe tried to make sure Ivy felt cherished, he knew this day was special. His girlfriend was a romantic at heart and he loved that about her. Joe took one last look around his suite at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. He’d chosen the penthouse suite especially for his first Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend and wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. A lot of planning had gone into this moment and he wanted her to know just how much she meant to him. He’d sent a town car to pick her up from the airport while he got everything ready. Before she arrived at the hotel, the driver was to take her to a local dress store he’d found and she was to choose one of three dresses he’d purchased for her to wear to dinner. The driver was in constant communication with Joe as he got closer and closer to the hotel. He took one last look at himself in the mirror, adjusting his tie. He’d cleaned up his beard a bit and wore his hair knotted at the base of his skull. His cell phone chimed with a text letting him know that the car was downstairs. After spritzing on a little cologne, he grabbed the roses he’d gotten for her and headed down.

Ivy was giddy with excitement as she sat in the dim backseat of the town car. She’d only been in town for a little over an hour and hadn’t even seen her boyfriend yet, but it was already the best Valentine’s Day ever. Joe had picked out three absolutely gorgeous dresses for her to choose from for dinner, complete with shoes to go with each dress. He was spoiling the hell out of her. The car slowed to a stop and the driver opened the door for her.

[Cherice] Footsteps could be heard, as the fox was strolling through the forest, hoping to find the one she had come across the last time she was here. She remained silent, hoping not to startle her.

@glare-the-fox // Cherice and Ivy

It was a beautiful day near Tourmaline lake and the Emerald forest where the weather was perfect the the beauty of nature around was just as lovely as ever.

However, the usually spot of where Ivy sat near the bridge was vacant. The green dragon was a bit father into the forest this time, across from the bridge though her melodic voice was heard harmonizing and bringing life to the flowers that glowed to the tune.
