its not very pretty

Had a really shitty day so imma talk more about my ‘if Bo had a little bro’ headcanons cause I can okay.

Shouji gets stressed out over school a lot, puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on himself for a variety of reasons. On particularly bad days he doesn’t want to do much and usually hides in his room. Kou hates seeing the poor kid so upset so he does his best to help cheer him up, usually in the form of some kind of board game. It gets ridiculous after a while cause Kou starts making up rules when he starts losing. He usually has Shouji laughing by the end of it all. Anything to help his little brother feel better.

I love, love your desert nomad character! I love the color, the different simple designs on the robe, the whole thing I love it! Its gorgeous!

Thank you very much! He’s pretty much the closest thing to an original character I have these days and drawing the pieces with him satiates my fascination with deserts and people who live there (and travel posters too, haha). I love working on his clothes and incorporating changes here and there depending on what new pegs I’ve accumulated when I find the free time to do so.

I actually have a good number of pegs stocked up, so watch out for future drawings of him! I hope that you will like them as well.

1/7/2017-1/9/2017 Soup-Nose The Goat has some swelling under her jaw. We suspect bottlejaw (fluid retention caused by anemia). Anemia in goats is usually a parasite issue, so we wormed her, and I drove to the hippie feed store and bought some of the fancy organic sweetfeed to try and convince her to eat a bunch of delicious nutrition. Even Soup Nose’s Olympic-class food fussiness is no match for sweetfeed.

Sweetfeed is made of corn, molasses, oats, various trace vitamins, and tiny shavings from a shining blue meteor that landed in the Darkhad Valley in Mongolia in 1953. The workers who harvest the meteor cover their ears so they can’t hear it singing to them.

Sweetfeed smells amazing. I have genuinely considered cooking it like oatmeal and eating it myself. My google history is full of searches for cornflake and molasses cookies, gingerbread cornmeal cookies, something, anything. Internet forums are thronged with people wondering how to make moonshine out of it. It smells like molasses and raisins and cornbread and coming home to the family you never knew you had after a long time wandering in the dusty dark between worlds.

We have to keep a brick on top of the bin with sweetfeed in it, because otherwise the feral cats sneak into the barn and eat it.

The cats try to eat goat food.

(Seriously. I tell a lot of lies on this blog. That is not one of the lies. It’s uncanny stuff.

Also, if you know any recipes that involve molasses and cornflakes, please send them to me, the smell is driving me mad.)

A character from my novel project. I haven’t drawn her in a while…

“She pictured the two of them sitting together in a garden with puppies in their laps, or listening to a singer strum upon a lute while they floated down the Mander on a pleasure barge. If I give him sons, he may come to love me. She would name them Eddard and Brandon and Rickon, and raise them all to be as valiant as Ser Loras. And to hate Lannisters, too. In Sansa’s dreams, her children looked just like the brothers she had lost. Sometimes there was even a girl who looked like Arya.”

A Storm of Swords, Sansa II

Happy birthday, @cosmonauthill!

Okay, listen. Just listen.

Damian and Tim have a complicated relationship, that’s for sure, but they’re brothers. It’s messy and tangled and not clear cut… but you have to admit, like Tim does not do right by Damian at the beginning of their relationship. This is complicated further by the fact that Damian did try to kill Tim when they first met. Yes, that is definitely Bad. But like… Damian was 10. Not only that but he was abused his whole life. That doesn’t make what he did excusable but it makes it understandable when he begins to change. Like Tim is almost and adult and he hurts a 10 year old out of spite even when it’s clear that the kid is changing.

It’s a complicated situation, but you have to stop pretending that Tim is your perfect little Angel Child and infantilzing him. There’s no Right or Wrong in this scenario, life doesn’t work like that. But Tim is capable of being cruel and he is cruel to Damian during their first years together.

I’m getting really tired of this Damian is A Monster Torturing My Perfect Angel Tim Drake rhetoric. Like Damian is a child and was abused and you need to start factoring that into the equation.

Ahh what can be better than hurting yourself with your own art
