it's grown

Goodbye, Teen Wolf.

Well, this it it. Tonight, the last ever episode of Teen Wolf is going to air and I honestly don’t think it’s hit me yet. This will be one of my last posts where Teen Wolf is still on the air. I swore I wasn’t gonna be cheesy, but I’m gonna write this post just so I can look back on it long after tonight’s finale.

I’ve been watching this show since its humble beginnings in 2011. I was 13 years old when it started, and now I am freaking 19! Not only has this show and its cast members grown all these years, but I have too. To go through some of the most crucial years of my life with Teen Wolf by my side has been a truly amazing experience. I started out watching the episodes in my parents bedroom and now I’m watching them in my own apartment.

I can pick out so many specific memories from my teen years that involve my obsession with Teen Wolf. I remember sitting in the basement of my best friend’s house, watching “Night School” with her when it aired. I remember looking up all the music from the early episodes because they were so good. I remember Stiles and Lydia kissing for the very first time and freaking out in the lunchroom at school. I remember my sad attempts at making Stydia fan videos on my iPod. I remember laying in my bed after each episode wondering what Void Stiles or the Dread Doctors were going to do next and coming up with crazy plot lines in my head. I remember freaking out over every little trailer and teaser. And I remember sitting in my college dorm room watching Stiles be rescued in season six and knowing everything was really coming to an end soon.

Now I sit here in my Stilinski lacrosse sweatshirt, holding back tears but also feeling so thankful that Teen Wolf has given me a fandom, a family, and a way to escape. I don’t know what I would have done without this show, honestly. I’ve learned so many lessons and have had so much fun despite the crazy storylines of the show and the excruciating slow burn of Stydia (lol!). Six years has felt like forever, because Teen Wolf has always been a constant in my life. BUT! Even though this is the end of any new episodes, this isn’t the end of Teen Wolf! This show has made history, and we are one of the biggest fandoms on Tumblr. I am going to rewatch this show more times than I can count and my blog is gonna be Teen Wolf still for a long long time. Sorry not sorry?

With that, I will raise an imaginary toast to Teen Wolf, to Stydia, to our fearless alpha Scott McCall, all the crazy villains, love stories, deaths, happy moments. It’s been a wild ride, but we all stuck it through to the end and that’s what matters! I love you all, my fellow TW fans. Let’s enjoy one last hoorah. Teen Wolf forever!

Throwback to the 2nd ever MM fanart I did with this…because I find it highly relevant right now.

“I remember, Sam. I still remember.”
He was not making sense. “Remember what?”
“Dragons,” Aemon whispered. “The grief and glory of my House, they were.”

It’s rare to find people who succeed in one shot. also, you don’t necessarily need to succeed in your first try. you will learn something from your failures

Little thing when Robert and Craig are totally dating.

When Craig is coaching his daughters soft ball team, Robert is there in the stands with a foam finger waiting for Briar and Hazel to step up to the plate. Once they do, he starts waving the foam finger. The mom in the stands looks at his glass of whiskey and is like.
“That better be Apple juice.”
“It’s totally apple juice, why you wanna sip?”
“But, why are you drinking out of a shot glass?”
“I’m a grown man, Janet.”
