it's easy yo

I’ve seen SO many of my friends struggle with motivation these days, so I wanted to make a little psa about how to attempt to get motivation back ( this also helps fight depression yo ) — It’s all about POSITIVE VIBES. Positivity attracts positivity. Motivation is driven by the WANT to do something, and that doesn’t ( usually ) come on its own, but needs a kick-starter ( this is where inspiration comes into play ). Inspiration is easily triggered by positivity, and everyone has positivity stored in them ( it is a human thing after all ), so what’s needed is to extract it. This part is where people say that their depression prevents them, and a big reason for that is because they are waiting for the positivity to come to them, but relying on something to come to YOU is not as good as generating it YOURSELF. So, can positivity be generated when you feel down? By: DOING YOUR BEST. This is a cliche saying, but it actually works. Do one more thing than you did yesterday. For some, this is a slow process. Doing one more draft, answering one more ask - but the thing is, the more you do, the better you will feel about yourself. And, there it is: you have made a positiv feeling/vibe/emotion. By feeling good about yourself, and sending out this ‘ positive vibe ‘, you are attracting inspiration, which will turn into motivation. Then, it’ll be easier to do more things, which, again, will give you an even better feeling - more motivation - more productivity - more positive vibes! When you hit a certain point, you will have “excess” positivity, which you can give to the people around you! So now you’re not only making positiv energy, but you’re also distributing it to your social circle, which will make good things happen to you. You’ll feel better about yourself, your work, and the people in your life ( and they will feel better about you ). And all of this JUST because you decided that you wanted to do a little more than usual. People who say that “this won’t work for me”, are ruining for themselves, because that means that instead of generating positivity, you are making negativity, which brings NOTHING good. Don’t say: “this won’t work for me”, don’t say “this might work for me”. Say: “THIS WORKS FOR ME”, because — Well, it does.

Small personal note about my own experience with this ‘ method ‘ of generating motivation ( feel free to ignore this) ; People tell me that I can’t understand what it’s like to be depressed and that it’s impossible to just “do” things when you’re feeling down, but, trust me, I DO know what that’s like. I suffer from a rare medical condition that causes me a lot of pain, which I have been very depressed about ( still feel down sometimes about it ), but I can STILL use the method described above to make motivation! So, I have no doubt that it will work for you too!

Heathers: The Movie Best Moments: A Complete List

- every scene in this movie happens for a reason? And as random as they seem they all have a purpose and they make the plot move and theres no filler at all and it’s fucking wonderful

- all their respective colors - I don’t think I have to say who’s what but in case you don’t know you can tell from the color of their croquet sticks and it’s pretty fuckin neat

- every time Veronica says “you’re beautiful”

- “fuck me gently with a chainsaw”

- JD’s little eyebrow quirk when Kurt and Ram ask about his “boyfriend”

- that Perfect Fucking Transition where JD fires the gun and then immediately after Heather hits the croquet ball

- when Heather Chandler is trying to be a bitch to Heather Duke and Duke responds by pulling some next level croquet moves worthy of a god

- JD’s voice when he’s explaining why he likes the “snappy snack shack”

- the music during the entire Remington party scene

- just the music in general. It’s fucking amazing.

- “It’s so great to be able to talk to a girl and not have to ask “what’s your major”. I hate that…so when you go to college, what subjects do you think you’ll study?“

- Heather Chandler falling and breaking the glass table

- “we did a murder, and that’s a crime”

- that entire scene with JD’s dad is just so…unsettling and it’s honestly amazing how creeped out it manages to make you feel just by watching it

- “great pate, but I’m gonna have to motor if I wanna be ready for that funeral”

- “We must pray that the other teenagers of Sherwood, Ohio know the name of that righteous dude who can solve their problems…it’s Jesus Christ”

- every single prayer in that one sequence, but especially Heather Duke and Ram’s

- JD…in the cow pasture scene…with the blue light on his face…looking so goddamn terrifying

- “double-ya double-a two”

- the music in the woods chase like I know I already mentioned the music before but goddamn

- “Does this answer your question?” *holds up the bottle of mineral water*

- when Veronica burns her hand and JD uses her sizzling flesh to light his cigarette

  • Enjolras: Why is everyone so happy? People are starving and they have no money. I've gotta rally the people here soon, the monarchy's getting worse by the hour! You can't even do a revolution with a friend without having somebody shoot you!
  • Combeferre: Ay, por favor, Enjolras don't pretend that Grantaire's your friend, we all know that he love you!
  • Courfeyrac: Wow, now that you mention that sexual tension, it's easy to see!
  • Enjolras: Yo this is bogus...
  • Combeferre: Haven't you noticed you get all your drinks for free?

but how to become a beta reader is another question!

I mean… ask. It’s not a secret club or something. If you want to beta read for someone, ask them if they would like a(nother) beta reader and then be available if they take you up on the offer. That’s usually all there is to it.

I can’t really speak for every other writer out there, but I know that if someone comes to me and says they want to beta read, I’m usually pretty stoked to have another set of eyes going over my work before it goes public. So for me, I’m pretty much always going to say yes, because everyone brings different stuff to the table when reading and I want to hear from as many people as I can to see if what I am writing is hitting the right buttons, and is as clean as possible while doing so. On the other hand, if someone beta reads for me and doesn’t give input for or catch anything at all, I’m probably not going to ask for them to do it again, since it’s likely going to be a waste of both our times.

And it’s different for everyone. Some people are pickier about the quality of their beta reads or what they are looking for in beta reading (for example, some only want spelling/grammer, some want characterization checks, some want story plot/continuity/common sense checks), some people can’t handle being told stuff is wrong and so don’t want beta readers, some people may already have what they consider to be “enough” beta readers. Some people may have you beta read something and find you don’t fit what they need.

But you can’t determine any of ^^^ that ^^^ if you don’t ask first.

its that easy yo, just do it.  u just do it and then u just do it some more.  u wont know what ur doin at first but u just keep goin and u keep talkin about it to everyone even th ppl who wont listen and then ppl see u in ur workout cloths more and more and theyre like whats up with u and u say oh i just went to the gym, and they say Oh in that way that ppl do when theyre suprised or impressed they say Oh and it has that kinda edge to it u know its like theyre about to ask and then they do How long has that been goin on for and u say Oh like a week or so now and theyre impressed and ur like fuck yeah this is my life now i tell ppl i went to the gym and soon i wont even have to say nothin theyll be like Whoa have u been workin out?  ppl gonna wanna feel my guns huhuhuh.

to the people genuinely angry about the fact that the countries around the world didn’t boycott the olympics in russia because of the anti lgbt stuff going on there, you’ve got to understand it’s not that simple

doing something like that would be soul crushing for the athletes. it would be taking away a life long dream that these people have worked so hard for because the of politics of the host country. and for someone’s whose dreams are in athletics, its not like you’ll have chances your whole life. they get old, their bodies break down. waiting 4 years till the next games would put most of them off the running forever.

not to mention, the olympics are supposed to be devoid of politics. that’s the point. to put aside our differences and come together as the world to play sports.

and before people freak out, i am not justifying anything russia is doing to their lgbt population. it’s sick, and i think the various, non game related protests are awesome.

but tumblr needs to realize that life’s not as simple as ‘boycott anything that we find wrong and who cares about the people being hurt in the process.’

Appeltaart boldly goes - Day 12

I’m laughing because in the second WIP it looks like his face is chiseled from fucking stone.
