Is Fibromyalgia Real or Fake
Today it seems like doctors are literally diagnosing people with diseases that seem too far out there to even believe they are real. One of those is FIbromyalgia, a disease that has claimed about two percent of our population. So is Fibromyalgia real or is it fake? If Fibromyalgia is real, what effects is it having on its patients and their families.
Is Fibromyalgia Real or Fake, The Definition of Fibromyalgia
Like anyone that has heard of this strange disease, I still have difficulty even believing this disorder even exists. A good friend of mine has it and I can see that his life has been changed because of it. When asking ourselves, is Fibromyalgia real or fake, we need to understand the actual definition of this disease. The United States Library of Medicine states that Fibromyalygia is when a person has suffered pain, tenderness in their joints and the soft tissues of the body. Because of the daily pain that these people suffer, it is quite common for them to have problems sleeping. Many of the people who have Fibromyalgia will have many of the common mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder.
Is Fibromyalgia Real or Fake, The Case for Being a Real Disorder
Because of watching my friend through the years, I have become quite acquainted with this disorder. I have watched his ups and his downs. I have seen the pain that he suffers and how it has made changes through his life. When I write this, I fully expect him to read this and I ask that he takes what he sees with a grain of salt. When we look at this disease, it is clearly real for the people who suffer from it. But, when I look at the people who suffer from it, I wonder why they do not change their situation. It is my belief that this disease is still psychosomatic. I think that people who have certain illnesses, like fibromyalgia, have the ability to heal themselves. This means that if they continue to abuse their body and do not take the steps to at least make their symptoms better, it them programming their body to get worse. The symptoms are a lot like arthritis mixed with a dash of moodiness because of the pain. While I remind my readers that I am not a doctor and this is only as a way for me to share what I have learned through my travels to help you discuss this with your doctor, I really have my doubts. I know for a fact that my friend believes that he suffers from it so he does. He feels the pain and he allows it to control him instead of controlling it and make himself better. This is part of a multitude of articles that will cover everything that I have uncovered which includes some of the ways that you can lessen and even reverse this disease.
