it's a little slow to get into but then once you're into it it's amazing

Eye of the Storm

Hey there. I really love all your Dom!Shane headcanons (yes, I am one of the anons who’s contacted you about them), and I got inspired and wrote a little thing for you. However, I feel you should know a few things before you start reading it: 1) I have never written fanfic for BFU before, and haven’t written anything even remotely fic-like in a good four or five years. 2) This was meant to be much smuttier than it ended up, and I may one day write what I originally planned for it to be. 3) I’m am the acest asexual to exist, and have exactly 0 experience of D/s stuff, so if any of this is wrong I heavily apologise.

I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas :)

Ryan, Shane has discovered, is needy sometimes.

He’s needy sometimes, almost desperately so, and he doesn’t let Shane know and it drives Shane absolutely fucking insane.

A lot of the time it’s not even that he’s needy in a sex way. He’s just needy for affection in general, needy for hugs and cuddles and soft, gentle touches and the comfort that comes from letting Shane take control and tell him what to do, even for just a few brief seconds. He gets caught up in his own head and his own fears so easily that sometimes it seems he stops being able to think about anything apart from what happens to be stressing him at that current time.

It’s awful to watch, and Shane hates it, and if he has to found the Stop Ryan Bergara Freaking Out About Shit And Make Him Actually Chill For Once club all on his lonesome, then he absolutely will.

do you know if you're ever going to write the ca:cw fix-it you mentioned? IT WOULD BE AMAZING.

Well, I started it! Who knows when I’ll have a free moment to freakin’ finish anything, though. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

“But if someone had slowed him down, just slightly interrupted his course, maybe he could have gotten through that one nightmarish moment; maybe he would never get that close to it again.”

Frederick Barthelme, Elroy Nights

“Hey, wanna see something cool?” Tony flashes him a little boy’s grin, the lines at the corners of his eyes somehow more and less pronounced than when Ross had given them an ultimatum with all the subtlety of a heart attack in the middle of a backswing. It lifts something from Tony’s shoulders, makes the hard line of them ease, makes him lean forward a little as if he’s going to press right into Steve’s space and seduce every secret Steve’s ever had right out of his mouth. This is the fast-talking, public-made monstrosity that sneers about pilates and grins around “Capsicle” and “old timer.” The practiced carelessness and picture show glitz would be unbearable on anyone else, but it’s what he expects with Tony. Steve hasn’t met the man that Nat and Colonel Rhodes are privileged to know.

Tony carries over a nondescript box that would be pristine if not for the dust lingering in the seam where it opens, and inside lie two pens that look older than either of them. “Pulled ‘em from Dad’s archives. Timely. FDR signed the Lend-Lease Bill with these in 1941, provided support to the Allies when they needed it the most.”

Yes, huge quantities of America’s war output have already gone overseas, and more is on the way! He remembers the newsreel. When they showed the Mosquito in all its shining, chrome glory, three guys in the second row began throwing their popcorn at the screen, whooping and hollering, “Kill those Krauts!” like there weren’t as many innocent Germans as there were Allied soldiers. Like the Germans weren’t even human.

He hadn’t heard the rest of the reel. He’d been too busy getting his ass kicked behind the cinema. But after Project Rebirth, he saw firsthand what American assistance looked like.

“Some would say it brought our country closer to war,” Steve says as he takes one of the pens out. It’s hard to believe that something so fragile could finalize America’s official entrance into the great game.

“Steve, if not for these, you wouldn’t be here.” Tony’s not wrong. A pen like this probably signed off on the Super Soldier program, held between the fingers of someone who hadn’t seen a day of combat. “I’m trying to—whaddyacallit—a… an olive branch. Is that what you call it?”

The signs from a Cancer Point of view (use 🌞 + 🌜):
  • (My posts are backwards on purpose)
  • Pisces: Oh my lord, you can be so silly. I love how infectious your giggle is. You can think of things in ways I would have never even thought; you're almost too creative for your own good. I know sometimes you're not so good at art, like most posts predict, but the way you speak is beautiful, like your words were perfectly arranged to form a mosaic of variegated interpretations. You let everyone's experiences influence you to the point where you take them on as your own, and that's ok. I know that just helps you stay close to the ones you love, as if living in their memories with them strengthens your connection with them.
  • Aquarius: You can be distant, but care with every pulse of your heart. Sometimes that's what confuses me. There's a reason for everything to you. You want to know cause and effect, but I'm worried for the day when you realise that not everything has an explanation; at least not one easily confined by mere words. You're not devoid of emotion. You're just much better at deciding when and how to deal with them. How do you do that? How do you know how to reach out for help without burdening everyone?
  • Capricorn: We are opposites. You work so hard to be happy, that sometimes I think you hardly stop to enjoy even the small things that have a magical air to them; like the plush towels against your skin, or the pattern of the sky that will only freeze for a few seconds more. To you, it's all about pushing forward and getting things done, and I love your motivation, but don't you realise how stressed out you get yourself? You can be cold, but that's only because sometimes you don't want to stop to feel...you know what will happen if you do.
  • Sagittarius: I am amazed at how much patience I have with you. You're so carefree, and I don't believe I have ever seen you stressed. Sometimes I get frustrated with how you treat others, but I know you don't mean to hurt people on purpose. I love how you want to be a free thinker, you don't let others cloud your thoughts or decisions, unless you really love them, then in that case you trust their opinions. Not everyone can or could ever earn your trust. You have clarity when most others are stressed because you've detached yourself from them so successfully. I'm glad that you of all people could take the weight that you do, though I'm not pleased that you have to in the first place. You handle beatings with grace, and you hold your ground firmly.
  • Scorpio: You're the most passionate person I know. When you talk about what you love or hate, I can see the propellers churn in your eyes. You love to love and hate to hate. I know it's hard to let people in, but I'm thankful you chose me of all people. I'm sorry I can't always be there when you sob in your bed late at night, but you always hold off when you're ready. That's ok too. I know you don't like to be pushed. Sometimes you let others passions overtake your own and you get so confused and tired that it's hard to face anyone. You want to love so badly, but you're always doubting yourself. Your thoughts can be overwhelming and it seems lonely in crowds, even around your own family, but even you need to trust more than one person.
  • Libra: You of all people know what to do and say all the time. I enjoy just sitting back and watching you talk and interact with people; you get that everyone is different, and you treat them according to how they are. If only people had that same respect towards you. I love how you can diffuse conflict as if you're stroking the nuzzle of a wild horse. You listen and think before you speak. You thrive on the subject of philosophy because you think, and it does, makes you a better person. You love everyone and you value friendships and relationships. You don't know who the right partner is, but I know when you find them, they will make you feel like the only person in the world, just like you do with everybody else.
  • Virgo: There's a lot to worry about. You are the one that I wish I was the most like. You live in the moment, without leaving the past or planning for the future. You're aware of the things larger than life, and you respect them, but you understand how all the little things contribute to the infinite tapestry. I wish I could notice and appreciate as you do. I know you focus too much on the tangible, and I understand that it's easy to get lost in the world of perfection and imperfections, to ignore the thoughts and feelings of others. Most people think you are cold, but I think there's more to it than that. Maybe you just know what to do with your feelings, and they're under your control, and yours alone. You're calm and always seem to be at ease. In no way should that be a crime, after all, many could learn a thing or two from you.
  • Leo: I find a lot of admiration towards how confident you are. Your presence alone is awe-inspiring. Everything you do--the way you walk, how you speak, your gestures, everything--looks so effortless but well thought out. Watching you is like enjoying a movie where every movement is perfect. I love the way you make me feel like we've know each other for years. I am at ease and comfortable by your very presence. One might expect your voice to be loud and authoritative, but it's soothing and suggestive more than anything. You want to make everyone feel like your friend, and I know it has no malevolent purposes, but it's for your own conscious because you can't bear a single person disliking you.
  • Cancer: I could tell you how seething your own mind is, but I'm sure you already know that. You can be so optimistic that you become blind to the worse in human nature. You have fallen victim to many schemes of manipulation, and each time you've beaten yourself up for it. It's ok to yell and scream and cuss. In fact, it's normal to let yourself explode. Nothing could ever right the wrongs that you can never seem to forget. I'm sure that even though they haven't made it up to, or apologised, that they still love you. Not everyone is like you where they can hold onto their emotions and keep it from lapping over the edge. People say things they don't mean, and they make mistakes. It's ok to not be able to forget, you just have to find a way to love again despite their wrong doings.
  • Gemini: When I am with you, I am never bored. There's always something to talk about, and you're willing to look at every side of a story because you love to be fascinated. You are so animated when you speak, as if you're trying to replay and exert the experience to everyone so that they can experience it as you once did. I love your acceptance of art in all its forms but most of all, I appreciate your desire for knowledge. You may not be the smartest, but you are the one to show me how to think.
  • Taurus: I see a lot of posts categorising you as being a glutton for food. Truth is, you love to enjoy things you like, and by no means is that bad. Some people talk about what they like and you feel their radiance through their words, but with you, you don't have to say anything. I feel your content seeping into my veins and I too become enveloped in this world of yours where the finer things of life are adored. I value your opinion because you learn to know and feel every inch of something before you can decide to love or hate it. You have to know for sure because once you make a decision, by God you stick to it. I love how you're supporting and refreshing for anyone who needs it. You've made some good calls, and also so bad ones, but you've learned from both and you can separate truth and fiction like nothing I've seen before.
  • Aries: You are the epitome of fire. I know it's easy to think of everything at once, and it gets extremely overwhelming. I think you tend to overlook other people's feelings for the small minute things that really don't matter. Your opinions and desires matter, just understand that you can't make anyone agree with you. You have a silver tongue, and it's hard to resist your logic, because despite how wrong you may be, you take record time in thinking up of an argument and at the same time shred your adversary to pieces. Some say it's water that wears you down slow and painfully, but I have witnessed the hot flash of your flames burn and dissipate. You get caught up in the moment. It's no biggie. I respect that you have confidence, I love that. You are into fast paced things, and I don't think I've ever seen you relax without falling asleep. You really amaze me at how adept you are at working under so much pressure. You've been through a lot, heaven knows, but we both know you've become a better person because of it. Your optimism is what pushed me through my own experiences, and I am most grateful for you especially.
Riarkle First Date One Shot (as quick as I could so it's not great)
  • : Knock on the door, Cory answers, Farkle is standing there:
  • Farkle: Hi, Mr Matthews...
  • Cory(surprised): Farkle, hi, come in…don’t you usually use my daughters window as your method of coming and going?

  • Cory: Tonight? Why tonight?
  • : Maya enters from stairs:
  • Maya(smirking): Cause he’s taking Riley out on a date, Matthews, duh.
  • Cory(staring confusingly at Farkle): ...Wha???
  • : Farkle raises his finger and opens his mouth to anwser, but nervously no words come out:
  • Maya(knowingly): Oh, I’m sorry, had you not heard?!?!
  • : Riley appears on stairs, her and Farkle lock eyes, they start running in slow motion towards each other:
  • Maya: Wow, you two nerds are made for each other.
  • Cory(Stopping them with his hands): Wait wait wait wait wait! America- I mean Riley- you were with Japan- I mean- but now - Canada? You-bowling? Huh?!
  • Riley(smiling): Yea Dad, Canada…taken for granted-
  • Farkle(smiling back): -But always there for you.
  • : Pause, Riley and Farkle just staring at each other smiling goofily, Cory looks horrified, pointing back and forth at them:

  • Topanga(patting him): Aw, honey, don't worry...I think it might be a great thing.
  • —————————————————————————————————————————
  • : Riley and Farkle walking down the street, Farkle has her arm and is almost dragging her he's walking so fast:
  • Riley(laughing): Farkle, slow down! Where are you taking me!? Where are we going?
  • Farkle: It’s a surprise! And no where, cause were here!
  • Riley(looking up): Cafe….Hey. You brought me to Cafe Hey?
  • Farkle: OK Zay told me it was lame, but our grandparents met here and I thought it would kind of a cool idea to-
  • Riley: -I love it.
  • Farkle(proud of himself): I thought you might say that. And it's a good thing you did-
  • Riley: Why?
  • Farkle: Cause it’s open mic night for poetry and I signed you up!
  • Riley: -say what now?
  • Farkle(dragging her in): You can do that poem you wrote based on Our Town for English class-
  • Riley: Farkle, I don’t have it memorized I can’t just-
  • Farkle: -Of course not, I know that! ...But are you gonna tell me you DON'T have it written down in the notebook you're carrying inside your purse?
  • : Riley is frozen, giving him the death stare:
  • Farkle: You'll do great! You were Juliet in the school play!
  • Riley: Farkle, that was pretending to be someone else. This is…me, being me in front of a bunch of strangers. I can’t do that!
  • Farkle: Riley you can’t be anything BUT you. And that poem is beautiful… Come on, what would great grandma Rosie do?
  • : Waitress comes up to get there order:
  • Farkle: Two mango smoothies, extra thick with spoons please.
  • (turning his attention back to Riley nonchalantly)
  • …So?
  • Riley(smiling admiringly from the order he made): She would probably thank you for making her go up there.
  • Announcer: Thank you, Cool Cat Joe, who once again has lived up to his name by reading us yet another piece on the riveting aspects of what it's like being a cat owner! Alrightttt, so next up we have...Riley Matthews, with her poem "Horizon"! Let’s show her some love, my people!
  • : Audience snapping, Riley suddenly looking terrified:
  • : Riley walks up to stage, trips a little up the stairs, gets blinded by lights, and blocks them with her arms. Lights dim so she can see. She looks out, terrified/horrified look on her face, but seeing Farkle smiling at her. She begins:
  • Riley:
  • It all seems to stop
  • Right at once.
  • I breathe in, deep-
  • As the whole world
  • slowly turns to gold
  • And sometimes it seems like
  • We are nothing but tiny specks
  • In our towns,
  • Our cities,
  • Our Universe,
  • Our lives.
  • But I stand up,
  • I stand strong,
  • Dressed in glitter and rainbows
  • Determined to find hope
  • Or some silver
  • In even the tiniest of linings.
  • And that’s how I know
  • There is no end
  • To my Horizon.
  • …Thank you.
  • : Pause of silence, crowd bursts with applause, standing ovation:
  • : Riley has tears in her eyes, looking out at crowd:
  • ;Runs down to hug Farkle;
  • Riley: THAT...WAS AMAZING! THANK YOU! This is the greatest date ever!
  • Farkle: Don’t say that yet. This is a two parter! You ready for what comes next?
  • Riley(pensive): Yea….I think I am.
  • ——————————————————————
  • : Riley and Farkle on a rooftop stars are shining extremely bright and clear:
  • Riley: Wow, Farkle this is…beautiful
  • Farkle(pridefully): I know, right?
  • Riley: It’s like we’re-
  • Farkle: -Tiny specks in the Universe?
  • Riley(laughing): Exactly.
  • Farkle: So this whole being on a date thing…do you think it's weird?
  • Riley(poking fun): Weird? Why, because it’s with you, Farkley, orange turtleneck wearing boy genius, who I’ve known since he was practically in diapers?
  • Farkle(embarrassed but laughing): Hey, I don't wear those things anymore! But-yea, cause of that.
  • Riley(Ponders, then says): ...No. Actually, it kinda feels like we should have been doing this the whole time. Is THAT weird?
  • Farkle(looking down): It's not even a little bit weird.
  • : Long pause, Farkle looks back up at the sky:
  • Farkle: …So did you hear they’re thinking of making pluto a planet again?
  • Riley: Yea, how ‘bout that.
  • Farkle: They said by 2018 it might be officially reinstated as part of our solar system
  • Riley(beat): Do you know everything, genius?
  • Farkle(shrugging): Not everything thing, just most things...and I dunno, I guess maybe I check up on stuff that's important to you sometimes...just to sure good things happen cause I know it'll make you happy-
  • Riley: -Farkle?
  • Farkle: Yea?
  • Riley: I really like you.
  • : Farkle smiles, they both look back up at the sky. Farkle grabs her hand, starts to hold it, Riley looks surprised:
  • Farkle: Is...this OK?
  • Riley: It's perfect.
