Aaaa– here we go here’s my gift for the @tsukyamgiftexchange for @f-uho !

I loved all your prompts (I had a hard time choosing one ahah) but the Art School AU definitely won my heart >♡<)9 photographer Tsukki and artist Yamaguchi secretly using each other as models would be so cute!!

I hope you like it ! and Happy New Year to you ~

prettiestmess  asked:

Oh my God, could you do a top 10 for Michiru's outfits? I feel like they tried so hard to make her a fashion plate (as she well she should be) but were so often stymied by the 90s-ness of it all. I'd love to see what you chose.

The real question is, how will I narrow it down to only ten?? Michiru’s style is so hard to pin down because sometimes it works flawlessly and sometimes it’s hard to justify, in-universe, why she would ever choose to wear what she is wearing. (Thanks again to @sailorcivilian and @fukufashion for their comprehensive representation of Sailor Moon outfits!)

10. The 1940s called. They said you look really good in that dress, feel free to keep wearing it.

9. It is written in ink that this shawl may never cover more than one (1) shoulder at any given time.

8. (”coming soon to own on videocassette” voice) She may have a tiny bow and a tiny backpack, but she’s got a big heart.

7. They told me I could be anything I wanted, so I became the ocean

6. Wearing formal gloves and a pencil skirt to the racetrack just seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

5. There are two kinds of people: those who say “you can never have too much denim on your body,” and liars

4. On the back, these shirts say “If found, please return to Michiru”/”I am Michiru”

3. The stylish yet practical baby-stealing ensemble

2. The dress that is responsible for putting many a young boy through early puberty

1. Look. I think there must be a story behind this one. I think this used to be a favorite tunic of Michiru’s; the pale lavender with the white belt is simple but charming. One day she was painting another one of her space whales, and Haruka yelled something from the kitchen about the shrimp paella leftovers in the fridge. In the one uncalculated move she had ever made in her life, she turned around and lowered her brush, leaving a short streak of dark blue on her dress. She tried everything; cold water, rubbing alcohol, Haruka’s Tide-to-Go stick, but she could still see a faint line where the space-colored paint was. Haruka would insist she couldn’t tell there was a stain, but Michiru would always know, and she couldn’t live like that. The next day, she bought a bottle of fabric dye. If she couldn’t remove the accidental stain, then she would make it an intentional one. She wears it as an act of defiance, a warning to the universe that Michiru Kaioh is not one to be defeated.

Debunking the Triangle Myth

It’s very hard to find ways to keep up with all your college work and still keep a balanced life. Many people say that when you get into college, you need to choose from two vertices of the first triangle while sacrificing the third one. Well, I need to tell you that that’s completely not true!

If you plan and organize your life, you will be able to manage your sleep schedule, your studying sessions and your night-outs without sacrificing one of them.

The first thing you need to do is being realistic. Instead of sleeping 9 hours a day, perhaps you will need to cut back to seven hours a day, which will probably provide enough energy throughout the day without letting your feel the burnout. On the other hand, you need to ration the time you spend with your friends and family. The best way to do so is scheduling a fixed schedule to be with them and dedicate yourself 100% during that time. It’s not how much time you have available that matters. What matters is what you do with the time you have available. Cutting back on fundamental aspects of your life will really hurt your grades – and if it doesn’t hurt your grades right away, it will hurt your body and state of mind sooner than you think. Sleepless nights have a mark on your body. On the other hand, depriving yourself of time spent with your loved ones can hurt and destroy relationships and in the end of the day, you’ll find out that those grades aren’t as worth as much as that.

Another thing I recommend is finding some sort of physical activity that helps you manage energy levels. Even running 10 minutes a day will do wonders for your physical and mental health, letting you cope with high stress levels and the feeling of burnout. Try to unplug from your college activities, listen to some music and concentrate on your body rather than on your brain.

You also need to prioritize. Choosing tons of classes just to feel productive is a waste of time. Having a heavily crowded schedule just for the sake of it will result in lower grades and a lower ability to focus on those classes. Pick classes that you think you can personally enjoy but can also help you on your chosen career path. Try to keep both of those aspects in mind when you’re picking subjects for the next semester, or else risking signing up for classes that are just filling you with stress and won’t even matter when you get your diploma.

Find a way to get help. You are not alone in this path and many of your classmates are probably feeling the same way. Try to get together and find a way to share some tasks or somehow trade notes and materials to help each other. If you can attend a lecture for any reason, don’t hesitate to ask for the class notes and assignments. If one of your classmates skips a lecture because they are sick, don’t hold back and hand them those notes. Finding a reading group is great to divide huge books into manageable chunks and distribute them between the members, so you have less reading to do and are able to summarize your part in a better way and then share your summary with your colleagues.

Schedule some “me-time”. Don’t look at your personal space as a failure towards your productivity goals. Try to incorporate at least half-an-hour with yourself in your busy schedule, and stick to it religiously. I always read a novel from 10 p.m to 10.30. Even if I reach that hour without finishing all the tasks for college that I had set out for myself to accomplish, I will just close my laptop, put away my notes and I will just allow myself to be relaxed for that half an hour.

Let's get something straight here.

I’m fucking done with everything and everyone. Just because people aren’t used to something or think it should be a certain way doesn’t mean it’s fucking right.

1. Straight people are straight. Gay people are gay. Deal. With. It. Not everyone is going to be fucking straight or gay. Some of us are even in between like pans, bi’s, and shit.

SO STOP HOMOPHOBIA AND QUIT HETEROPHOBIA. SIT DOWN. SHUT UP. AND DEAL WITH IT. IF YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

2. A Woman does not “belong” in a kitchen. And she doesn’t HAVE to be a wife. Everyone sees women as someone who has to be feminine, and cute, and perky and shit. NOT ALL WOMAN WILL BE LIKE THAT.

There are tomboys, a woman CAN become a soldier. A woman is capable of so much more than just having kids, making dinner and being a goddamn housewife. Yea I fully understand if that’s how SOME woman want to live their life, but NO WOMAN should be held back from what SHE wants.

3. QUIT WITH STEREOTYPING PEOPLE. Just because someone wears glasses doesn’t make them a nerd. Just like how if someone is buff and strong, it doesn’t make him a jock. Not every Muslim is dangerous, and not every white person is rich. And not all gays are “fabulous.” I got called out the other day because I am bisexual and someone asked me why I don’t dress like it then. Excuse me? BUT EXACTLY HOW WOULD A BISEXUAL GIRL DRESS???!!! FUCK EVERYONE WHO STEREOTYPES PEOPLE. GROW A BRAIN. READ A BOOK. Who knows, maybe you’ll fucking learn something.

4. People. Fuck. Up. But that doesn’t mean you get to fucking laugh at them, or judge them. Sometimes things happen and we all make stupid decisions. So don’t go fucking prancing around like you’re any better than anyone else.

5. How is it that if someone has a broken leg, or head injury, they get sympathy? But people like me, who are actually mentally injured, get judged and dismissed as freaks? Yes, I’m mentally unstable, that doesn’t mean I’m going to kill a person.

Just like how not every depressed person wants to kill themselves!

Before you fucking judge a person, know WHAT you’re judging for fucks sake, or else YOU’LL be the idiot.

6. If you think beating, raping, violation in any way is alright if it’s the “victims fault” then fuck you. You can die now.

It’s not the “Victim’s fault” no matter what.

IT NOT OKAY AT ALL.

IMAGINE HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF IT HAPPENED TO YOU. OR YOUR FAMILY OR LOVED ONES. And no one would care because it was “the Victim’s fault”. Think about it.

7. WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT BELIEFS. SL DON’T FUCKING GET PISSED OFF BECAUSE SOME OF US SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY.

I grew up in a Christian/Catholic family and K REFUSE to believe I’m God, yet I believe I’m hell and Satan. Question me. It’s not fucking worth it.

Some of us believe in God, reincarnation, death, science, etc. Whatever it is, don’t judge another person because of it.

8. WE ALL HAVE A REASON. AND A VOICE.

It’s whether we choose to USE that voice, and if it’s for Good or Bad.

WE CAN/WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

9. This is OUR MOMENT.

Our generation is what changes everything.

Think about this nice and hard.

Every move we make, Every Choice, will one day effect what happens to US in the future, to our possible kids, and THEIR kids!

With every choice on US. We HAVE to be careful! We need to make SURE we know what will happen, and what are consequences will be.

10. I AM USING MY VOICE. THESE ARE MY OPINIONS AND MY WORDS I USED.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, DEAL WITH IT.

I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A RIGHT OF SPEECH, AND NO ONE WILL TAKE THAT FROM ME.

Ski Jumping Awards - Poland

1. Athlete of the season (male): Kamil Stoch. It was such a good season for polish team it was hard to choose just one, but I’ve decided that he deserves this the most. He won 6 competition. Was lider of WC the longest. He won 4HT and joined to the club of ski jumpers who won everything (Crystal Globe, World Championships, Olimpics and 4 Hills Tournament).

2. Athlete of the season (female): All of them. Because they were not allowed to compete in Lahti (because our stupid chairman decided so) it was hard to compere them so they’re all winners.

3.Team of the season: Piotr Żyła, Dawid Kubacki, Maciej Kot, Kamil Stoch #every podium of the season and gold at WC squad.

4. Top newcomer/breakthrough: Maciej Kot. He finally achived something more than 5th place. He won 2 competition (was on the podium 3). He was 4th in 4HT. He was 2 times in TOP 6 and won gold in team in Lahti. He was one of the four jumpers who jumped in every series of every cometition and was the only one to always be in TOP 20 (the lowest place was 18th in Oberstdorf (ski flying)).

5. Most imperssive win of the season: Klingenthal team. First team competition of the season, first ever win for Poland with 40 points of advantage over second place. Hats off!

6. Best competition: Bischofshofen. Kamil was first, Piotrek third, Maciek K5t on his favourite position, Dawid, Jan and Stefan also did well (with 234 points to Nations Cup). The emotions were great. The final was terrifying. But everything ended well.

7. Best podium: Lillehammer 2nd day. It was really hard to choose, but this was the first time this season when they showed that they’ll be strong this season. Both Kamil and Maciek (for the first time) on the podium. Delightful.

8. Best Jump: Kamil Stoch - 251,5 m, Planica. Polish national record (don’t argue with it). Amazing fight jump by Kamil. Before this season almost everyone did’t believe that polish eagles could fly. But they can and this jump (and Vikkersund team competiton) proved it.

9.Most touching moment: Piotr Żyła winning bronze and polish team winning gold in Lahti. I know these are two moments but I just can’t pick one. When Piotrek won bronze he didn’t really know what he had done. The funny, always smiling guy suddenly become silent, shy man. He even dedicated that medal to his kids.

Team competition was so emotional I couldn’t even sit. I was so nervous before every jump (especially Dawid’s in second round). But as soon as Kamil landed I started to cry like a little baby. They did it. For the first time in history.

10. OTP of the season: Piotrek and Maciek (Żyłot, Kyła, Wiewiórokot?) Their friendship is awesome. Love them together. They always live in the same hotel room and they support each other so much.

11. Crush of the season: Kamil and Maciek. It’s a tie. They’re both the most handsome when they’re smiling and they were smiling a lot this season so I couldn’t choose one of them.

It looks like King Alfor either lied to or hid a lot of viltal information from Allura.

  • Allura mistakingly believes that the Black Bayard is lost with its Paladin.
  • We know that Zarkon is that Paladin and he does have the Black Bayard.
  • We know that King Alfor wanted to hide Voltron from Zarkon and hid things from his daughter.

Ergo:

King Alfor knew that Zarkon was the Black Paladin. And when Zarkon came to take Voltron, Alfor understood that Zarkon, as the head of Voltron, would succeed. He would only need to make the Black Lion obey his commands once it was in close proximity and the rest of the Lions would follow, as we have already seen here:

Zarkon floats above Voltron and tears apart Voltron into the Lions.

He overrides the controls of the Black Lion and makes it his, even though Shiro is still inside.

The Black Lion even goes in full power when Zarkon takes it over.

The most important part: it ejects Shiro.

This whole situation makes three things very clear:

  • This could have happened 10,000 years ago, when Zarkon first attacked Altea and Alfor knew it. That’s why he hid Voltron instead of going out and attacking Zarkon; he would have given Zarkon Voltron 10,000 years ago and then the Galra Empire would have been truly unstoppable.

  • That’s why King Alfor made the Black Lion available only if all the rest were present and scattered them throughout the galaxy: he tried to tear the bond between the Black Lion and Zarkon.

And the most important of all:

  • Shiro is not the Black Paladin.

This last one may be hard to swallow, but it’s true. When the two men had a battle of wills about the Black Lion, Shiro got [r]ejected by it. And as we know, the Lion chooses the Paladin and not the other way around. We also know that the relationship between the Lion and the Paladin is “a mystical bond and cannot be forced. The quintessence of the pilot is mirrored in his Lion(Allura, ep.1).

In other words, Shiro worked only as a contemporary replacement for the Black Lion. When shove comes to push, the Lion responds to Zarkon.

This was also hinted in episode 9:

“You’ll never beat Zarkon.”

…for the Black Lion.

Add to all this Shiro’s fear that he’s part of the Galra Empire already and that he’s a “broken soldier” and we have a nightmarish scenario for Shiro: not only he’s not the official Paladin of the Black Lion, but he’s been able to connect with it just because he’s part of the Empire that Zarkon created.

Or, at least, that’s how Zarkon can present it and throw Shiro into despair.

However this rabbit hole goes even deeper:

King Alfor knew all of this.

How?

How could he know that Zarkon would do all of this? His actions in hiding the other Lions and making the Black one available only when the rest of them were present worked as a counter to this particular bond Zarkon has with the Black Lion: that of a Paladin.

King Alfor tried to severe the bond between Lion and Paladin.

How could he know the extend of Zarkon’s abilities?

There is only one simple answer:

He was a Voltron Paladin as well.

Which one?

The Blue Paladin.

OK, obviously, everything in this show is colour-coordinated. King Alfor wearing all this blue kinda seals the deal.

However, there is also something else.

This post by @arcticfoxbear is a good guess about the quintessence of the Blue Lion, the only Lion whose quintessence we know nothing about yet (and trust me, it is on purpose).

Trust.

Alfor trusted Zarkon. He trusted him to the bitter end.

It’s no question that since Zarkon was the Black Paladin, he fought on the good side once upon a time. He fought for freedom, for the good of the people and for justice. His change into a power-hungry monster who sees weakness as a sickness that must be ripped apart from the root couldn’t have happened in one day. Zarkon must have spend years having these thoughts.

And as we know, the Paladins are of one mind, without any secrets.

“The original Paladins fought hundreds of battles together, side by side. They were like a pack of [insert alien animal speces here] linked by the ears.” (Coran, ep. 2)

Actually, the whole of episode 2 tells us that the Paladins are of one mind, that they put each other’s safety above their own, that there is unquestionable trust amongst them.

So, there’s little doubt that Zarkon’s ideas about power must have been known to the other Paladins early. How come they didn’t do anything to stop him before the situation reached.. well…

…at this point?

The answer: Alfor trusted that Zarkon, his brother in arms would pull through. That he wouldn’t become a tyrant and a monster. That things would become better again. Alfor had trust and most importantly, faith.

(BTW, faith is what I believe that the quintessence of the Blue Lion is.)

Lance has faith in all of his friends (yes, even Keith) and that is his characteristic. His childish ramblings about parades and kicking Zarkon’s butt easily come from this.

Also, here’s a nifty parallel:

Allura falls asleep in the arms of her father, the original Blue Paladin, calling “Father…”…

…and wakes up yelling “Father!” and falling again…

…in the arms of a boy who is the new Blue Paladin.

Subtle, but well-crafted.

And let’s be honest here: Voltron: Legendary Defender is a reboot of a shounen anime and anyone who has watched even one shounen series knows that the power that makes the protagonists pull through anything is faith. Despite all weaponry and training, above technology, magic or experience, what makes shounen heroes win is faith to oneself and…

…you guessed it!

Faith to one’s friends. I believe in my nakama, bitch!

This elemental power is still missing from the quintessence of the Lions and since the Blue Lion’s is still unknown, it is safe to assume that Lance is the one whose characteristic is the faith to each other.

And let’s not forget: faith is the best weapon these kids will have in the climactic battle.

Lance is bound to become the glue that brings them all together and makes them beat Zarkon, from this perspective.

Plus, it’d be a good way to undo the damage King Alfor did by putting his own trust in the wrong person (Zarkon) and letting things reach a point where Zarkon was capable of defeating the fleet of an entire planet.

And to return in the beginning of this post: Lance’s faith will be what brings Shiro back, what helps him pull through. The previous Blue Paladin let the Black one fall into the darkness, the new one will save him.

I know that Shiro and Keith seem to be closer now, but Keith’s immaturity and overestimation of his abilities (he tried to take on Zarkon on his own!!!), plus his short temper make him unsuitable to be the rock when everything falls apart.

In Lance we trust…

…and I have zero complaints about it.

The Character Sheet

This is a tarot spread I came up with based on a D&D character sheet

1. Character: The Self. What you need to know about you, in the present and your current role. These are the eyes through which you explore the world.
2. Strength measures endurance, stamina,  power, and the ability to wield the weapons and armor available to you. It is how well your goals are met, how you impact and bear situations, and where your breaking point is.
3. Dexterity is your coordination, reaction, reflex, and balance. It is how you dodge and respond to threat and surprise. It is how quickly you react and adjust to change. Are you flexible or rigid in your life and plans?
4. Constitution is resistance to hardship and injury, and the ability to survive and recover from the shock. How do you recover from injury and hurt? How do you resurrect yourself from the shock and the poison and reconstitute yourself?
5. Intelligence represents your memory, reasoning, and learning. How perceptive are you to situations? How broad are your horizons, how open your mind to new ideas? What lessons have you had to learn?
6. Wisdom describes your judgment, guile, will, common sense, and intuition. It also speaks of magic and resistance to magical attack. It is the skill of attunement. Are you aligned with yourself and the natural world? Are your skills of intuition honed? Are your emotions and dreams open to receiving inspiration?
7. Charisma measures your persuasiveness, personal magnestism, and ability to lead. It engenders loyalty and trust in those around you, and confidence within yourself. Are there many people in your life that you can trust and confide in? How do people react to you? How are your relationships?
8. Health asks us to look at how well you are taking care of yourself, and any issues you may be avoiding. It is not only your physical health, but any issues that may be maligning your health, including emotional issues.
9. Armor Class is what defends you. It is your natural shield and what you have built up on top of that to keep yourself safe. This card tells you how hard it is for people to hurt you, what keeps you safe, keeps you sheltered.
10. Weapons and Combat is what you’ve got in your hands to fight with. What is your weapon and how well can you use it? How long have you had to use it? Is your weapon one you would choose?
11. Alignment tells you if you are inclined towards law or chaos, to extremes or neutrality, to beneficent or malignant thoughts and actions. Is this what you expected? Has your alignment changed? Do you want it to?

The spread can actually get a little more involved the more D&D you want to put into it, like a high Dex affects AC, and STR can give bonus to hit with weapon, so you can really read into it. But I’ll stop here and hand it over. Let me know if you want more details though!

In this budding age of technology, it’s no surprise that a younger generation of witches is turning to a new form of divination: an exciting and interesting practice dubbed ‘shufflemancy’.

  • Shufflemancy - the use of a music player, usually an mp3 player or an iPod, to divine the future, optimal course of action, or the state of the world. This is done by setting the iPod to shuffle, skipping forward a certain number of times, and listening to the song (or songs) played and determining their meaning.

Usually technological forms of divination are frowned upon by older members of the pagan community, but in this case, shufflemancy is gaining ground. Not as flashy or as impersonal as divination applications that simply be downloaded onto a phone, shufflemancy is as accurate or as vague as the diviner wants it to be.

What makes shufflemancy so great? Why are people drawn to it as a form of divination?

  • Much like a tarot deck speaks to its user, a device full of music speaks to them in similar ways. The difference is that more time is put into creating the answers given from a device used for shufflemancy. Sometimes users can feel a disconnect from their tarot decks, as they did not create the cards, and thus, did not create their meaning. However, this is not the case for this form of divination. Every song on the device is there because it spoke to the diviner on some level of their personality, from the deep recesses of their inner feelings touched by songs like ‘Take me to Church’ to feelings of happiness found while listening to songs like ‘It takes Two’. Diviners don’t have to worry about pulling something that doesn’t speak to them, because a device used for shufflemancy can be tailored to serve their needs. Shufflemancy also has the unique ability to have as many (or as few) answers as the diviner wants, whereas tarot decks have a set number.

There’s no specific, set way to practice shufflemancy- it’s something you do on your own, and it’s completely self guided. Any diviner who tries to sell it as a prescribed, specific method is wrong, and should not be policing people’s practice. There is no ‘standard’ way to do it, but here are some tips to help some first time diviners.

  1. Tailor your device to your needs. It’s your music, don’t be afraid to take songs off or add them on as you see fit. If you feel soundtracks or background music speaks to you better than music with lyrics, that’s fine. Use that. Same goes for if you’re comfortable with Panic! at the Disco or AC/DC. It doesn’t have to be all Enya and Misty Mountains. also, don’t be afraid to just use a playlist if you have music on your device you don’t want to have for answers. Loading up a playlist with anything from 7 to 7000 songs is your choice, and nobody can judge you for it.

  2. Choose songs that have meaning to you. This doesn’t mean every song has to be deep and soulful. By all means, add happy, upbeat, and crazy songs to your shufflemancy playlist. But it’ll be frustrating for you if you keep trying to divine and come up with songs that you don’t even like on your list. It’s much easier for you (and for your practice!) if you stick to songs you know and love. If you’re having a hard time picking songs, just close your eyes and listen to the song you can’t decide on, and think on whether it has meaning to you, however small. If so? Good! Use it. If not? Maybe choose something else. You can always come back to it later.

  3. Choose whatever skip count feels right to you. One of the interesting things about shufflemancy is that most diviners ‘skip’ a number of songs so their playlist is randomized. Don’t feel like you have to stick with the standard ‘special’ numbers, like 3, 7, or 9. If those numbers feel right to you, feel free to use them! But don’t feel like numbers like 5, 14, or even 22 are bad skip counts. And don’t feel like you have to keep using the same skip count each time. Be as consistent or inconsistent as you want to be. The same goes for how many songs you listen to. If one isn’t enough, don’t feel like you can’t listen to more.

  4. It’s a good idea to meditate when you shufflemancy. Focus is true for any form of divination. It’s a good idea to focus on your cards when you do tarot, or focus on the pendulum when you use that too! It’s hard to connect with your device and the music on it when you’re rushed, or in a hurry, so sometimes it’s a good idea to sit somewhere comfortable and quiet, get into a position you can stay in for a while, and just sit back and listen. Meditation doesn’t always have to be at home though- some people like to shufflemancy while they’re driving, cooking, or cleaning! These tasks are easy to tune out while you listen to music (although, I don’t condone tuning out while you drive, obviously!) and in a busy day, it’s hard for some diviners to set time aside to practice.

In short, the best way to practice shufflemancy is the way that feels right to you! This is a new and exciting form of divination that’s accessible to a young generation of witches, and will likely only gain traction as times goes on. Don’t feel like this form of divination is ‘lesser’ or ‘not as witchy’ as other forms. It’s just as legitimate, just as meaningful, and just as ‘pagan’ as anything else.

Happy divining!
