it was a good month

Now matter how hard I try, I just can’t get the cold open out of my head. Twelve doesn’t deserve to regenerate alone, screaming in the snow. I can’t help but to notice how much of a contrast it is to Eleven’s regeneration.

Eleven was with Clara, in the comfort of the TARDIS with his clean-cut and tidy appearance.

Twelve is alone, out in the harsh cold with torn up clothes and broken appearance.

I just really hope that this isn’t what his regeneration will be like. Cold, broken, alone.

Part 2

It was incredible what some direction could do.

With toys and games, things to occupy the kids, the fighting amazingly slowed. It didn’t stop all together and Reno was still unfortunately a little asshole of a kid, but then again Jyn was starting to suspect that that was just his personality. At least from there, Jyn was somehow able to set a routine that not only worked, but actually seemed to let the kids thrive.

Mornings were dedicated to learning in the classroom – Kady’s basic improved every day (Jyn almost hugged her when the 10-year-old had asked whether she could use the refresher without messing up one word) and Jyn spent that time attempting to teach what felt like every life-lesson she could ever remember her parents teaching her. The afternoons were spent in the training gym, Jyn at least a little more confident there in knowing what kind of combat to teach. The younger ones ran and played on the gym equipment that Jyn had threaten Mothma to order for her, while the older children handled blasters and other weapons.

“How come they get blasters and I don’t?” Rivi would always whine. “I’m old enough!”

“Being old enough isn’t what counts,” Jyn would always remind her. “Until I think you’re mature enough to handle one, you’re staying with the little kids.”

Doing the same thing over and over again didn’t sound too interesting in theory, but Jyn found that there was a kind of comfort in the routine. The children had time to get used to things, could remember things through the repetition and regular actions, and it gave Jyn something to focus on.

(She didn’t want these children realising their new commanding officer was actually a hot mess).

“You’re still not sleeping, are you?” Cassian asked her one evening.

Anyways guys I’m gonna peace out and watch some youtube and then actually head to sleep. I have no idea where I’ll go next in this crazy atmosphere that’s tumblr dot com but I just want to say thank you to you all one last time. Thank you if you’ve followed me for whatever reason and thank you if you’ve opened up your arms and invited me into your life, no matter if we talked once or more than that. And most of all, thank you if you’ve send me love and positivity when my life was dark and not so full of light. You guys within the fandom that I’ve got the opportunity to talk and know is what I call home. 💛

Fellow members of the autistic community

I’m at my local library and they’ve made a display for autism awareness month. This is a well meant effort, but…

As you can see, they’ve gone with the “autism speaks” motif. This is somewhat distressing for me, especially since I usually come here to de-stress. I’m going to write a letter for the library about why this is offensive to me as an autistic person, but I don’t want them to think it’s just me wigging out about it, so if you all would be so kind I’d appreciate it if you could reblog this post and add your own thoughts on autism speaks and the symbols of their organisation. I’m going to print off as many responses as I can and hand them over to the library along with the letter.

Thanks so much for your time, and I hope you all have a good autism awareness month
