Our Waking Souls: Clary/Jace

That’s right, Clace! Original Coke. This was written on request as a gift for a friend who did something kind for me: it is, however, canon with the books and takes place while Clary and Jace are on their mission in Faerie in LoS. (If you squint, you can even guess when.) Clary struggles with what it means to love and keep secrets, and sexy times are had. Definitely R-rated, and with extremely sexy art by Aegisdea (a tiny bit excerpted above): so, warnings for sexual content both visual and textual.

Some spoilers for LoS; Clary and Jace are about 22, 23 here.

For Virna, Mari and Julia.

me to me: hey, where’s the au where Jack jumps into a taxi to escape crazy fans and Bitty’s already using the taxi

me to me: georgia, you write stuff. you can just… write that

me to me: hey, good point

The door opens and shuts again quickly, which is strange enough as the taxi is sitting in the middle lane at a light that’s just turned green. What is more strange though, is a man throws himself into the car at the same time.

Bitty would ask ‘what the hell’, but he’s currently cradling his nose in his hands, having suffered an elbow to the face as the stranger slid across the car seat without looking.

“Crisse. Fuck. Shit. I am so sorry.”

The man turns to him. Bitty’s eyes are watering and he blinks to try and clear them. He’s fairly certain the man in the taxi with him is Jack Zimmermann.

The taxi driver has either not noticed what has happened, or is used to strange occurrences in their taxi, and is still driving Bitty on toward his apartment.

“Are you alright?” The man who Bitty is now convinced is Jack Zimmermann-he’s got a line of stitches on his jaw from a rough check in a game Bitty watched two nights ago–asks worriedly, hands dancing around Bitty’s face like he wants to make sure but is afraid to touch.

Bitty pulls his hands away and looks down. No blood. He presses his fingertips gently to his nose. It’s tender, but not horribly so.

“I’m good.”

Jack sighs and slumps back into the seat. “Thank god.”

He shuts his eyes and leans his head against the backrest. Bitty watches him, speechless. What are you meant to say when one of your favourite athletes ambushes your taxi? There is no precedent for that.

Eventually, Jack opens his eyes and turns to Bitty. “I really am sorry. I wasn’t thinking when I got in here.”

“Jumped,” Bitty corrects.

“Pardon?”

“Oh, it’s just. It’s more like you jumped in here, you know.”

Jack rubs at the back of his neck as his eyes drop to Bitty’s nose. “Yeah, guess so.”

Bitty nods slowly at him, and waits for further explanation, which doesn’t seem forthcoming. It’s not exactly surprising, judging from what little Bitty knows of Jack’s character from post-game interviews and Falconers Face-offs. He’s never been as verbal as some of his teammates. Still, you would think this situation would warrant an explanation.

“Why did you?” Bitty eventually asks, too curious to leave it alone.

Jack’s eyes dart out the window, then land back on Bitty. “It’s, uh, a little embarrassing, truthfully.”

“Try me.”

“Alright. I was–No, I should start with,” Jack mumbles to himself, then clears his throat. “I play hockey, and I’m, well, I’m… known.”

Bitty finds it almost endearing how uncomfortable Jack looks saying it.

Bitty nods. “I knew that part.”

Jack raises his eyebrows. “Really? But you haven’t–I mean, you’re not reacting…” He stops himself with a huff. “I really don’t know a good way to say it.”

“Star-struck?” Bitty suggests.

“Eh,” Jack shrugs.

“I played in college,” Bitty tells him. “Lived in a frat house with hockey players for years. You’ve lost all aura of mystery and un-touchability to me, I’m afraid.”

Jack looks him over, and Bitty can guess what thoughts are going through his head. Thankfully, he refrains from saying anything. Bitty might have thrown him out the taxi if he did.

“I don’t mind. It’s… a nice change, truthfully.” Jack even smiles at Bitty as he says it. It’s small, sure, but it’s also an expression Bitty has never ever seen on his face. It feels nice to be shown something of who Jack really is. Bitty looks out the window before he starts reading into it and spins this random encounter into a fantasy. He’s surprised to see he’s only a few blocks from home. It’s felt like no time at all.

“I was running away from some of the, uh, ‘other’ kind of fans,” Jack tells Bitty.

Bitty swings his head back around. “Who says I’m a fan?” he teases with mock-offense.

“Oh.” Jack looks abashed. “I just assumed, because you knew who I was. That’s terrible.”

Bitty laughs. “No, you’re right. You’re a great player.”

Jack seems to wait a second to see if Bitty will go back on his word. When he doesn’t, Jack gives that same small smile again, and dips his head down and away. Every second he spends in Jack’s presence, Bitty feels like he’s learning more about him.

“I’m almost done with the taxi,” Bitty tells Jack as the driver pulls around the corner onto his street.

“Oh,” Jack says, looking at Bitty. If he didn’t know any better, Bitty would call the expression on his face disappointment.

“It’s been nice talking with you, Jack.”

“Yeah. You too, ah…”

“Eric.”

Jack holds out his hand, and Bitty takes it. Jack’s hand feels big around his own, and surprisingly cold. Bitty can’t help but try and memorise as much of the feel of it as he can. He drops Jack’s hand quickly when he catches on to what he’s doing though. He doesn’t want to seem creepy, or like those ‘other fans’ Jack mentioned earlier.

The driver pulls up to the curb where Bitty directs him. Bitty reaches into his pocket for his wallet, but is stopped as Jack grabs onto his wrist.

Bitty tilts his head at Jack.

“Let me pay,” Jack says. “It’s only fair.”

“It’s really alright,” Bitty refutes automatically, distracted by the feeling of Jack’s fingers on his arm.

“Please. I want to. You didn’t have to let me stay in here with you.”

Bitty opens his mouth to decline again, but Jack adds on, “Plus, you know I’m good for it.”

Bitty stares at Jack for a moment before nodding his head.

He gets out and shuts the door behind him. The taxi idles on the curb as he searches for the keys to get into the building. He feels eyes on him and turns around to see Jack watching him through the window. He gestures to Jack to drive on, but Jack shakes his head.

Bitty turns back to the door and bites his lip, feeling flustered at the consideration Jack’s showing him. His hand shakes a little as he tries to fit the key in the lock, but he manages to get the door open, and turns to wave goodbye to Jack before closing the door behind him.

He walks up the stairs to his apartment in a daze, thinking that tonight is a memory he’s going to carry with him forever. The night he shared a taxi with Jack Zimmermann.

Inside his apartment, Bitty holds his hand in front of his face. He curls his fingers down to his palm, closing his eyes and remembering what it felt having Jack’s hand in his.

He sighs out as he opens his eyes. He’s not going to spin a crazy future for him and Jack out of this one interaction. At least, not after tonight he won’t.

Confession

“Hi! Can i request a tvd imagine? All smutty with damon being dominant and rough and everything? Thank you :))” “Hi! I was wondering if you could write a damon salvatore imagine (smut ofc!!) Where you two are not together but kind of have a crush on each other. so eventually you end up having rlly rough kinky sex? Pls! ^-^”

A/N: i guess you can say i changed the plot a bit?? SORRY IF ITS NOT KINKY !! WHOOPS ?? (I can’t write kinky smut for shits ????)

You looked at yourself in the mirror, admiring on how well you did on your outfit choice for Girls Night. You twirled yourself so your back was facing the mirror. Shifting your head to look at the mirror, to see the back if the lovely dress Caroline helped you picked out. It wasn’t too short nor too long, hugged your curves perfectly. You felt good. You did your final touches on your hair and makeup before heading out the door. Once your bag and keys were in your hand, you swung your door open, out to have the time of your life with Caroline, Bonnie and Elena.

However, there was a certain someone blocking your way out. “Ah! Y/N I know I’d find you here! Cute little dress.” The raven man cheerfully said, a smirk appearing onto his lips. “Obviously you would, it’s my house.” You laughed. “What do you want Damon? I need to get going somewhere.” As you motioned towards your outfit. You knew the reason why he was here, and you tried every single thing possible to avoid him, not try and make much eye contact as possible. “Well you see Y/N, the thing is, you’re constantly avoiding me.” You were about to protest but he beated you to it. “No, don’t give me ‘I’ve been busy.’ crap, that’s such an overused excuse, sweetheart.” His voice was stern, serious for his answer. “Tell me the truth Y/N please, I’m your fucking friend for christ’s sake!” He nearly shouted, eyes wide, inching closer to you. You didn’t want to tell him why. You knew he would taunt, tease, laugh at your response. You knew he wouldn’t feel the same feelings towards you. “I don’t have to tell you everything Damon, you’re not my dad, or my boyfriend. So please, move out of the way.” You spat at him. Pushing yourself through, though you knew it was no use. You were still just a mortal, where as he was a hundred and something year old vampire; with much experience with his inhuman strength. “No.” Damon simply spoke. He pushed his way into your home, closing the door behind. He pushed you against the closest wall.

pretty girl ✧ peter parker

summary : peter parker may be a bumbling wreck around you most of the time, but when it comes down to it, his ability to shower you in his affections is unparalleled.

wc : 1.6k

author’s note : i took part of @iusethistoreadfanfics aka liz aka the sweetest person ever’s request and an anon’s request for a pretty boy part two and turned it into this :) can be read separately it’s not a /direct/ sequel.

There was a moment, when you and Peter were at a standstill between not quite dating yet not quite just friends, when he understood with the entirety of his heart that simply calling you his best friend was not enough, nor would it ever be. He remembers the way he does every memory that involves you; as if he were stepping back in time and reliving it, clear as day, still so fresh in his mind that it could have happened just twenty four hours ago.

It was still the summertime when it happened, albeit one week shy of September and two weeks until the start of tenth grade for the two of you. Nevertheless, it was August, and school had been the furthest thing from your mind when you had begged Peter to accompany you to the beach, just an hour’s ride on the train from his apartment to the Rockaways. He had argued that it was more September than August at this point, that the ride would take forever, but you had insisted and because it was you and he was just another lovestruck boy with an affinity for making you smile, he agreed. He hadn’t gone with the intention of actually basking in the sunlight or standing at the edge of the water the way he knew you would, he just enjoyed your company. Then, he saw you standing there on the sand, staring out into the ocean in a pensive sort of way, and maybe it was the way the summer sunshine was illuminating you in an odd sort of way, but he knew he was in love in that simple moment. In love with the little freckles that spotted across your shoulders and the huggable way your body had been shaped and in love with the everything and anything about you. He had been well aware of the strange limbo you were both in- acknowledged feelings for each other hanging there but neither of you making a move to shift the balance in favor of a romantic relationship.

He was floored, to say the least. He barely blinked when you looked back at him, smiling brightly at him. “What are you looking at it?” You had said, standing next to him. He raised a hand to trace over the little stars, the freckles, on your shoulder with his finger, an unabashed grin beginning to make its way across his face. You knew what he was he looking at, and he didn’t want to be embarrassed when he told you.

“You,” he had breathed, an ever dreamy sigh. “Always you.”

Pretending not to be as shy as you were quickly becoming underneath his intent gaze, you looked down at his hand, still sitting at your shoulder before dropping awkwardly to his side. You met his eyes again, and his cheeks were burning bright red despite the confidence he had found within himself. He was still the dorky, easily flustered Peter underneath it all. He just wanted to be capable of giving you a compliment without stumbling over his own words. “Why’s that? I know I need to start doing crunches again but-”

“Don’t even finish that sentence.” Without saying much else for fear of not being able to coherently explain how utterly stunning he found you, he took your hand in his and pulled you over to the water. You two sat down there, and he had wrapped his arm around you hesitantly, but it wasn’t in the friendly way he had done it all those years, and you both knew it. Peter leaned over to rest his head on your shoulder. “I don’t think we’re just friends anymore.” You nodded, turning your head to the side so you were face to face with him, your hand slipping under his jaw. “What do you think, pretty girl?”

It was the first time he had called you that, though it wouldn’t be the last, and you had known it from the second his eyes lit up at the way you had ducked your head to hide the shy grin on your lips and the pink blotches on your cheeks. His smile was dazzling before he kissed you, and yeah, maybe you loved dorky Peter, but the confidence was ever so endearing as well.

Every part of Peter was impossible not to love. Even the parts of him that lived to embarrass you endlessly.

He took pride in being the sole resident of your heart, and because of this fact, he was the only person to ever be capable of making you blush like he’s never seen. Of course, he was the champion of being blushing like mad after receiving a compliment, but sometimes, you had to relinquish your control and just let the boy call you every term of endearment under the sun and watch as his sweet smile shined for you alone.

Pretty girl was your weakness. It was the weak in the knees, flustered grin, shying away sort of weakness. The sort of thing that made you hide your face from him only to have your hands grabbed and pressed against his cheeks as he waited for you to look up at him again.

Naturally, he tried to say it as often as possible.

“Psstt, pretty girl,” he kept his voice at a whisper, "D’you have the geometry notes for today? Think I lost mine.” He bit the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling when he saw you sink low in your chair in English class, staring down at your book.

“No.” You rested your elbow on the table, your cheek in your hand to hide most of the blush. “You have the notes. I saw you give them to Michelle. I need to get back to reading.” He nodded, plopping his own novel on his desk and propping it open, pretending to be reading when in reality he kept glancing back up at you. “What?”

“Nothing, nothing at all, pretty girl.” He laughed to himself as you placed your head on the table, and he laughed all the way to lunchtime as you blatantly tried not to look at him. Peter Parker is, however, unavoidable, no matter how hard you attempt to ignore his advances and happy little smiles when he catches you still all flushed pink from an earlier encounter, and in his head, he compares it to the blush of a rose petal.

After school, he meets you in front of your locker, leaning against the one next to yours like a dork and wiggling his eyebrows at you when you finally slam your door shut. “You’re coming over, right? You’re not too upset with me for making you all blushy and cute today in class? ‘Cause, like, really Y/N, if you were me, it would’ve been totally worth it. You were adorable.” Because it’s Peter, you can never be mad for too long, so you shake your head no and slip your hand in his. “Okay good, I wanted to get ya something.”

His surprise gift his a bouquet of pink roses that he says reminded him of you the moment they caught his eye early this morning, and he presents them with a long winded explanation of why to him, they were you. He watches your eyes crinkle at the corners, your hand squeezing his as your other hand takes the flowers from him. “Thank you, Peter. They’re- they’re very pretty.”

He shrugged, trying to play it off cooly even though inside he was utterly ecstatic that you had appreciated the flowers. He wasn’t always sure that he was getting this whole boyfriend thing down. “Pretty flowers, my pretty girl, no big deal.” But it was, at least to you. He holds your hand all the way to his apartment, enjoying the sunny glow on your cheeks that makes his own face burn in the best way.

May reminds you both to keep the door open when you get to his apartment, just because she’s the aunt and she has to remind Peter of those sorts of things, but neither of you mind.

He puts on his playlist for you when you drop your bag on his bed, motioning for him to come over and sit with you as Hearts Don’t Break Around Here softly fills the small room. Peter places his arm around you, the way he did three months ago at the beach for the first time when your feelings were new and wild and rushed. He starts singing quietly, always so shy about his voice even though he knows it’s your favorite thing to listen to. You can almost feel yourself falling asleep against him, but he shakes you gently to make sure you’re awake when he murmurs the next few lines. “Every night I’ll kiss you, you’ll say in my ear, oh we’re in love, aren’t we?” He lets Ed take over the remainder of the song as he looks down at you, and it’s a look that any girl or boy would fall for in a heartbeat. “We are, right? In love?”

“So in love,” you reply, kissing him soft as ever. Gentle.

“Good,” he whispered, his hand trailing over your face. “Sometimes I- I have to double check. Just make sure that I’m not… like, dreaming, or something. That I’m not driving you away with complimenting you so much, ‘cause I know you hate when you blush but I just can’t resist. You’re my sweet girl, my pretty girl. I need to tell you. Is that okay?” He’s got that nervous expression on his face again, so to put his mind at ease, you pull him against you again.

“Peter, that’s okay. As long as it’s you, it’ll be okay.” He relaxes under your careful touch, practically melting against you until you smirk a little and say, “I’ve got more of the power anyway, pretty boy.” And suddenly a red face Peter Parker is pulling away from you, furiously blushing and cursing the day he ever decided he was going to fall madly in love with you, except not really, because it was arguably the best day of his life.

    The cycle then repeats.

Drops of Jupiter [Jimmy Darling x Reader]

Request: “Could you do an angsty smut thing woth jimmy where its thier first time and she’s like ‘touch me’ and he is so overwhelmed and happy cause omg she loves him???? Idk man but anyways its fine if not and i rlly love ur writing and yeah :)” - Anon

A/N: ty ty ty my child. And I’m not good with angst tbh so ???

And apparently condoms weren’t a huge thing in the 50′s like what? As much as I write unprotected sex, the idea disgusts me tbh.

(I’ve had this in my drafts for forever, sorry!)

“Jimmy,” You whisper as your boyfriend messily tugs the buttons on the front of your blouse. “I can help you…” He pulls the navy blue sleeves down your shoulders, and off of your arms, letting it fall on the floor, much to your annoyance.

“I wanna do it.” You quietly agree, but moments later notice Jimmy grumble, fumbling with your bra. You reach around your back, un-clipping the black garment. He lets out a small sigh, admiring you.

It’s like slow-motion when Jimmy’s lips smash against yours in a quick, passionate kiss that would lead to him tossing you back on the bed, and him un-buckling his trousers with a sly smile, completely forgetting it’s your first time. It wasn’t until he noticed how fast your heart was beating that he remembered, and to which he attempted to stop his actions. After reassuring him that there was nothing to be afraid of, he began again, very slowly.

“My God Jimmy, I’m not made of glass!” You said, a little bit irritated. Alright, a lot a bit irritated. He knew that he could touch you, that you wanted to be touched by him, but he just couldn’t ever get it through his brain. The two of you had fooled around before, going so far as to you sucking him off in bed during the late hours of the night, thankful that he had his own caravan, but never actually done it. Every time you got close to it happening, he backed out because he was nervous. You weren’t letting that happen this time, though. You were going to show him that it was okay. Whether he believed you or not, well, that was up to him.

Pulling him down on the bed with you, you flip over so he’s under you. Pulling his briefs down, his cock springs free. His size had never, ever failed to surprise you, and sometimes it felt like maybe he was too big. But through the times, he had managed to convince you that he wasn’t “too big” as you had originally thought. The thought still lurked sometimes, though.

“Darlin’, what are you doing?” You quickly shush him, trying to keep your thoughts (and confidence) in order. Sliding your panties off, you toss them to the side, along with your skirt, which Jimmy had previously un-zipped halfway. You hear Jimmy laugh nervously, mumbling something or another about you.

You line his cock up with your entrance, slowly sliding down. A small whimper escapes your parted lips, and Jimmy quickly brings his hands to grip your thighs. “Oh darlin’…” After a moment of adjusting to him, you raise yourself up, your hands on his chest, quickly falling again, the warmth already rising in your stomach.

He groans again, feeling your warmth clasp around him. Jimmy mumbles nonsense, only every few words intelligible. You didn’t mind his sounds, just wished you knew what he was saying. You could make guesses, though.

With another thrust, the two of you fall into a nice rhythm. Every time you’d slide down, he’d buck up to meet you. It was a strange way to lose your virginity, but you weren’t really sure if there was a uniform way to do it. Moans spilled from your newly dirty lips, and somehow, pride was apparent in them. You were brand new to the game, but had Jimmy Darling (of all people!) a groaning mess beneath you.

“J-Jimmy!” You pant, Jimmy pushing you back down to meet his hips. He let out a loud grunt escape his lips, feeling you pulse on his cock.

Meanwhile, Jimmy was lost in his own little world. You were the center of his thoughts, how fucking gorgeous you looks sitting on his cock, the angelic sounds you made, the way your body moved… He was so proud of himself for landing a girl as amazing as you. His mind didn’t even jump to the fact that he didn’t deserve you, unlike usual. It was safe to say that you had blown his mind with your sudden dominance.

He had been with two or three girls before. They were awkward, mostly drunken encounters, who were quick and dirty in the back alley. A back alley Sally, if you will. And I mean, who would want to fuck the lobster boy sober? They had gone with whatever he lead with, and probably ignored him the entire time. None of them spoke up about what they wanted, or even attempted at communicating their needs.

But you took charge, apparently, and Jimmy loved that.

With his hands still on your hips and in the perfect sync, he made an attempt at flipping the pair of you over, so that you were on the bed. A second later, you dismount the handsome boy and lay on the bed, the warm Florida breeze sticking to your skin. Jimmy eagerly takes the opportunity and climbs on top of you, peppering kisses on your neck and chest.

It’s not but a few seconds before he’s mercilessly (well, almost) pounding into you. Now, it was your turn to be the moaning mess beneath your lover, enjoying every single second.

“Jim- Ah!” You shout, Jimmy’s hand quickly rising to cover your mouth.

“Shh. We don’t wanna be caught, do we?” Shaking your head no, he lifts his hand. Quickly, and without warning, you feel yourself release over him again. He groans. Not but a few minutes later, both of you had finished and were laying messily sprawled out on the bed. “Well then…”

“Well then, indeed.” You confirm. He smiles, pulling your bare body closer. And soon enough, the pair of you are fast asleep, praying that nobody entered the van until morning.

The first time Bucky met you, he never thought he’d be so infatuated with just your laugh alone. It was the sweetest sound he’d ever heard, making him forget the whole world and put all his focus on that beautiful sound that echoed from your chest and delivered into his ears like a symphony. Like a gleeful morning in the season of spring; like birds humming on a sunny day. It was like music to his ears. Hell, it made his heart sing with joy and he just loved to see you laugh. As if that was all he was finding for a reason to live, as long as you’re happy, it made him happy.

Since that day, the very first day – he took upon himself to make you laugh. Even the slightest opportunity was enough and if he was the reason why your day got even better, then it just made him even prouder. And he kept that promise; even if it was the simplest thing in the world, he stuck to it until the day he held your heart.

“Writing a book is so easy” - Volume 3

Read the original viral sensation: Writing a book is so easy
The somewhat sensational sequel: Writing a book is so easy - the Sequel

Now, prepare for the third volume, the most in-depth behind-the-scenes of writing books yet…

Every book that you read has a story to tell. Not just the one in the pages, but so too the behind-the-scenes hell.

I documented what writing a book looks like from Day 1 to Release Day. The work never ends. You write wherever and whenever you can.

And when I say write, I mean, you have to WRITE

Like….DON’T STOP.

Here’s a secret: the more you write, the longer the book gets!

Sometimes you’re gonna be absolutely STUMPED. Like the entire universe is just being petty and conspiring against you.

When all else fails, drink coffee. Worship coffee. Sacrifice your first-born child to coffee.

Sometimes you’ll show up at your regular writing spot AND SOMEONE WILL HAVE STOLEN YOUR SEAT, THE STUPID, FAT HOBBITSEES

So you’re forced to write out of your element, totally distracted as you figure out ways to make it look like an accident…

And remember how your teachers always said you’d need to use math everywhere in life? Well, they weren’t wrong…

Every day, you persist. Inching closer. And closer. Every word pushing the story toward its close.

It might take a week, or a month or two or three, but every time you add another 10k, you can’t help but feel a swell of pride.

There will always be the days you miss writing, but that’s absolutely okay! Don’t beat yourself up! You can make time for it. Writing is art, and art takes time, and shouldn’t be rushed.

And one day you’ll sit down and stare at your screen and realize….the end is near. You can feel you’re closing in on those final words, those last sentences with the characters you’ve spent the past year with.

When you write those last words, a wave of relief will slam into you. You might shed some tears, because writing a book is difficult, and finishing the first draft is an incredible feat to achieve. Treat yo self. You deserve it.

Then…..take a break. Take as long a break as you need. Some people might need a month, some a year. Whatever your rhythm is, find it, stick to it, and never give it up.

No matter if you edit by hand or by computer, print out that first draft. Hold it in your hands, feel the weight of the words you wrote. The words that were stuck in your head for months, even years. Flip through those pages and look at what YOU created.

Then, when the time is right, edit that book.

Maybe you’ll finish editing a chapter in a day. Maybe it’ll take a week. For me, it’s usually an hour per page! Edit at your own pace. It’s not a race!

And then…..voila. You’ve edited the first draft!…….

If you have other books out, don’t let them fall to the wayside! Keep marketing, keep telling people about them (and showing them your work on the newest one!!), and get book signings and events whenever you can! Bookstores are ALWAYS looking for authors to feature. Just ask!

And of course, make it fun for yourself, too! Book flare and merchandise? Um, YES PLEASE.

Aaaaaaaaaaand now you need to focus again, and, you know, actually put all those edits in. Which usually turns into an entirely new round of editing in-and-of itself.

Keep putting those edits in….

And more, and more, and more edits…

Did I mention sometimes you’ll need to go to extreme lengths to fit in writing days?

Although art itself is so, so, so rewarding, we’re all still human. Some days will be more difficult than others. Some days, your mind will weigh you down. These can be the hardest days, but push through. Find an anchor and hold tight and take care of yourself.

Other times, you’ll be traveling! Take your writing with you. I find that when I’m on vacation, I’m a much more productive writer! The atmosphere is usually more relaxed. You’re not in a familiar place, so it gets your creative juices flowing stronger!

When you’ve edited your book a few times, FIND BETA READERS. These can be friends, followers on social media, or someone random you meet in your coffee/tea shop! Get fresh sets of eyes looking at your work! They will make suggestions, edits, and faun over your book.

Sometimes they’ll make corny jokes.

You will get a TON of feedback, and you will have to compile them all together, chapter by chapter, reading and considering every single comment and comma.

Your beta readers will love you forever when they finish reading your book. Guaranteed. Always. So in love. Yes.

Eventually, your beta readers will finish, and the countdown to publication will begin…

As you near the end, the Universe might have some surprises in store for you. Me? It took me back to the exact seat and window where I wrote the entire first draft of the first book in the series….a very poetic twist of fate.

Finally, the day will come when every major edit is done. When you’ve skimmed and scanned and combed and proofed. When you have a cover design and formatted all the pages to books, it’s time to order those first copies.

And then….the day comes….when your book finally arrives. You see the mail truck pull up and you see the boxes, and you just KNOW it’s for you.

And then you open them and look inside….

And you get to hold it in your hands for the first time ever…..

And you get to put it next to the other books that come before it….

And then you get to ship some of them out to ARC readers who will be reviewing your book before it’s released!!!!

And then you get order an entire shipment for upcoming book signings, and copies to send out to people who pre-ordered, and seeing them all stacked together will ALWAYS be a beautiful sight. Cherish it. Take a picture to show off to potential readers, that image of YOUR books all stacked together.

This is what writing is like. This is what goes into all those thousands of hours of sitting behind a computer. This is how books come into existence. It’s not the same steps for everyone, but the process for all of us is similar. It’s not easy. You won’t see a dime for your work for years, unless you already have books being sold.

But it’s worth it. Pouring your soul into writing a book, or making music, or graphic art… This is the beauty, the struggle, the dedication, the pain, the hours of lost sleep, the gallons of caffeine, the barista friends you make along the way….

Even though they might catch you in your candid element…..

But you will form a bond with them. They will learn your favorite order, have it ready the moment you walk in the door. And if you ever leave, it will be a heart-wrenching day…

They might give you a keepsake, too, to remember them by….

Stay humble, and remember every moment. Every experience. Appreciate everyone who helped you along the way, from giving you free drinks and food, to all the support and encouragement, to the avid fans who rave about your books. They’re all here for you, following your journey as you write.

For this particular book, the journey was 23 months, from December 2015 to October 2017. It takes a long time, even when you work every single day, and stick to a strict schedule. Some days you won’t want to write at all. Some days you won’t want to stop. That’s okay. Just hold true to your passion, and celebrate your accomplishments.

Don’t let anyone tell you not to write. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re doing it wrong. We all live through the same process, from the great artists to the starving artists. If you want to write a book, this is what it looks like. Though writing a book isn’t easy, the reward of holding it in your hands is worth the days, the months, the years. You will have created something beautiful. You will have created art.

Among The Beasts: Freedom

Reader x Kol Mikaelson

(NOT MY GIF)

synopsis: Klaus’ attempts to live up to his promise to you lead him to dark paths, but, in the end, he manages to lift the curse up, waking you up.

A/N: I don’t know if I made it clear, but the Mikaelsons are quite fond to the reader. She is friends with all of them, but has a deeper conection with Kol. :)

Part 1 - Part 2

“This is funny”, Klaus thought, a while later, as he stood in front of his mother’s lifeless body, holding her heart on his right hand. It was indeed amusing, because all of Esther’s worries revolved around what he would become if he possessed his Hybrid powers. What kind of evil the blond would turn out to be. Yet, she did not considered the fact she was the one to blame. She made him. She sentenced a poor boy to a painful childhood just to hide her mistake.

A bitter chuckle left his lips. Yes, killing her was an act of mercy, for the witch deserved way more than a quick death.

random harry concept™

You’re at a party talking to some of your shared friends.

And Harry is next to you, his hand around your hips softly but lowkey protectively.

And he has a drink in the other hand, his ring-clad fingers wrapped around the round class, leaving smudges in the condensation, the metal of his jewelry clinking against the glass. He smells like Dolce Gabana, wine and smoke bc he took a swig from Ben’s cig.

And you’re talking about school and life and stuff and he leans in and his hair tickles the back of your jaw and ears. It’s starting to grow back out, little curls struggling to wrap around his ears.

His breath is cold from the ice in his drink as he talks. “I’m gonna go talk to Alexa for a bit, yeah? Haven’t seen her in a while.”

And you murmur a quick “okay,” feeling the warmth of his body slide away from you but you don’t worry bc you know he’ll be fine.

After a while you glance around the flat to see where he is, spotting him at the bar surrounded by a couple of people and tipping back tequila shots with someone like a pro.

It’s a race, apparently, as you see a row of shots laid out before him and he tosses them back as fast as possible, his jaw clenching and face scrunching up at the sour taste, but he shakes it off with a shudder of his broad shoulders. He flips the tiny glass upside down on the marble counter, reaching for a blue snowman cup filled with orange juice.

He’s going at it hard– it’s evident even from far away. Sweat has matted his hairline and beads his forehead, his lips a cherry pinkish red, his cheeks flushed lightly and his pupils are blown out of proportion.

The people around him cheer him on, one of his family buddies filling up more glasses and sliding them towards him. The guy opposite him is tipping them back hella hard, too, being ahead of Harry by three hits.

Alexa is standing behind him, massaging his shoulders and giving him a rough pep talk. You see Harry nod his head hazily, smiling all watery and drunk off his ass as his fingers go up to his shirt, popping the first three buttons air out some heat.

He then downs two shots, making an audible grunt as he slams them down on the tabletop, the cheering around him swelling. You smile softly because it’s good to see him so happy and carefree. He deserves some hardcore fun after all his hard work on the movie.

Some more time passes as you talk Christmas plans with Gemma, who had arrived right after Harry had won the tequila contest.

You turn your head to check up on him again and your words lodge in your throat.

He’s gripping a booze bottle by the neck, a sparkler shoved into the top. Alexa is next to him, smoking a cig, and to your horror, you see him stick his tongue all the way out, making a beeline for the end of the lit cigarette. When Alexa backs up, laughing, shaking her head at him, he veers off course, his sights set on the crackling sparkler instead.

“Harry!” You call over the thumping music, scrambling up from the couch with a quick apology to Gemma and pacing towards him.

You get there just in time to snatch the popping firework off the bottle, putting it out and setting it on the nearest table.

“Have you gone mental?” You screech quietly, prying the booze from his big, clumsy hand as he pouts his ruby lips and puts on his puppy dog eyes.

“Y/NNNNNN,” he slurs, stomping one of his feet and coughing thickly, “s'just some fun, sweetheart. Liven up, would ya?”

“Swallowing a goddamn firecracker and licking a lit cigar is your idea of fun?” You snort in disbelief, grabbing at his arm as he teeters on his feet.

“Ooooh,” Alexa hums dangerously, chuckling as you scold him. “Someone’s in big trouble.”

You roll your eyes at her playfully. “You have no idea.”

You tug Harry away from the bar, heading towards the first bathroom you see. He stumbles over his feet behind you, whining half-heartedly. At one point you pass Sandy, who whistles over at you both.

“You gon’ get a spankin’, Styles? Been a bad boy?”

Harry gives him a toothy grin, throwing the man a lazy wink. “You know it, mate.”

He then proceeds to slap his rear several times, releasing a high-pitched moan. “Oh, baby, just like that! I’ve been such a bad baby boy! Whip me into shape, please. I’m begging you!”

His friends burst into a roar, causing your cheeks flush.

“Come on, you bugger.” You tug him harshly, continuing your journey to the loo.

The door swings open and you shove him through it, locking it behind you. He wobbles over to lean on the marble counter, knuckling at his wide eyes as he giggles messily.

The bathroom is spotless, much to your surprise. Alexa had really gone all out for this party. You grab a linen towel from a big basket near the jacuzzi bathtub, wetting it under the faucet and drifting towards Harry, who is distracted childishly with his dog tag, tugging and twisting at it.

You dab the warm cloth onto his forehead, wiping the dried sweat and sliding it down his jaw and around his mouth to rid of the residue of liquor.

He behaves obediently, reaching up to play with the ends of your hair, tugging at it every now and then, his eyes quickly flitting up to yours to see your reaction. You wipe down his neck and the exposed bit of his chest until he’s fairly clean. You toss the towel in the dirty hamper, buttoning up his shirt once again and finger combing his floppy mop of semi-curls, then massaging his ears in small, long, circular motions.

He hums appreciatively, blinking sluggishly down at you and grinning like a fool. “S'good. You’re good, I mean. With your hands. You’re good with tour hands.”

“Oh, am I really?” You cock an eyebrow, amused at the suggestiveness of his words, even though he didn’t mean them in such way.

He nods his head quickly a few times, not catching on immediately, but the idea eventually dawns on him, eyes going even bigger. “Oh, wait! No, I didn’t– I, like…Not like that or anything! I meant it as in you’re good at massaging my ears, not my dick.”

“So I’m not good at handies, is what you’re saying?” You pout with fake hurt, looking down at your feet.

“What? No! No, you’re amazing, darling! You’re amazing at getting me off! It’s just that, at this moment, I didn’t mean it like that. But you aren’t bad, I swear. You’re real good at massaging everything– anything– I just–” He babbles aimlessly, seeming like a deer caught in headlights.

It makes you smile. “I know, dumbass. I know what you mean.”

“Okay, good,” he sighs in relief, looking down as you sift your fingers with his. “You’re good.”

You nod slowly, kissing his forehead with care. He squeezes your hands gently, melting into your body as you kiss all over his face.

“You’re…so good to me.” He glubs, his tongue suddenly losing feeling inside his mouth. His eyes slowly trail up to yours, his teeth worrying the inside of his bottom lip. “You’re…” Harry takes one of your hands, setting it over his belt buckle. “Incredible.”

You get the memo right away, your fingers toying with the metal bit of the accessory. “Yeah? How incredible?”

His breathing is hitching in his throat, his stomach making faint churning noises as the alcohol settles into his system. A hiccup jolts his shoulders, his eyebrows scrunching at the spontaneous motion. Your hand is already worked into his pants, fingers cupping him over his briefs. He’s hot and heavy over the fabric, twitching with excitement.

You grope him roughly, repeating your question. “How incredible, H?”

His eyes flick up and down between your actions below and your eyes up top, dopily picking at the nails on his long fingers. “Really incredible. Don’t–” he swallows heavily, chipping off a large piece of the black nail polish you had helped him coat on a couple days back. “Don’t deserve you sometimes.”

You’re movements stop and an objecting whimper strings out from him immediately.

“What d'you mean you don’t deserve me?” You question quietly, reaching your free hand up to cup his jaw, your heart melting when he cradles it into your palm.

“S'like…” He trails off, sniffling faintly and you remember how sentimental he can get when he gets drunk.

“It’s like what, baby?” You nudge gently, smiling up at him with soft encouragement.

Harry’s breathing becomes more controlled as he switches hands now, all of the nail lacquer chipped clean off his right hand. “Can you…can you keep going?”

“Hm?”

“Can you…” He clenches his thighs, bringing your attention down to his swollen prick. You hadn’t realized how badly it had started to throb. He looks away shyly, cheeks and neck strawberry red as he asks you to keep jerking him off.

“Sure, Har. Feels nice? Helps you think a little better?” You dip inside his underwear, tugging his wet shaft out of its confinements and pumping it slowly.

“Y-Yeah,” He sighs shakily, hands trembling. He throws his head back against the light, lavender wall, the muscle inside his jaw ticking. “Oh, fuck yeah…”

“Now what’s this whole–” You give him a small squeeze just below the head, thumbing a couple of times over his leaking hole, just how he likes it, “thing about not deserving me?”

“S'just…after I got off on break, I said I had done it to spend more time with youuu-oh!” His hips give a tight buck into your cupped hand and he’s obviously trying to control himself.

“Yeah?”

“And then I took up the m-movie deal. And you…you weren’t even angry at me? I did it out of no where and you were nothing but happy, even though I broke the promise…” He’s sniffling again, wiping his nose along his shoulder with the shirt sleeve. “You did nothing but support me when I just left you hanging like that and I don’t deserve your patience. I leave you all by yourself to go on tour, get off of tour and then leave you again to do a movie and you haven’t said one bad thing and I just…And then now, having to deal with me drunk off my ass and trying to eat a fucking cig, for Christ’s sake! I don’t–”

“Bullshit.” You state, your tone so strict to the point where he jumps slightly. “I knew that dating you would come with this and I did it anyways because I love you. You never have to worry about this stuff with me, H. If I ever get sad about it, I’ll tell you, but don’t beat yourself up, alright? You live an exhausting enough life as it is, so don’t worry about me, okay? I’m always gonna be here for you because you more than deserve me– you’re a good man with a huge heart and you’re doing all you can to get a good, solid career. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

Harry smiles all watery, kissing your nose. “I love you– fuck, I–so much. You’re just…can’t even put it into words.”

You kiss at the pulse in his neck, murmuring comfort. “Love you, too, my sparkler-eating dumbass.”

He chokes out a laugh, which is cut off by a hearty moan as you give his dick a twist.

“Can I finish you off now without any more tears being shed?” You tease, biting along the skin of his jaw.

“Hell yeah.”

You’re beautiful

Request: Can i request a sis fic? Maybe something that the Reader is really insecure about her body and has a really tough time.(She’s 14/15)and her brothers do anything to help her? Idk.Its a hard idea.If it’s okay to do it it would be amazing.Ly Kay❤

A/N: 5 months later I write it….thanks for your patience! I kinda made it so that the reader wasn’t too happy with her body & was having some mental insecurities as well, hope you don’t mind, it just sorta happened. The reader can be really age cause we all have body insecurities no matter what age we are, even though we’re all perfection, we all need a reminder sometimes.

A/N Part Two: This fic was hard to write, mainly because my brain didn’t wanna function while writing it. In the end it felt like pulling teeth but I wanted to finish it because I’ve been taking wayyyyy too long on requests.

A/N Part Three: I lied, I actually kinda love it now that I edited it.

It had all begun as a joke; you were just getting out of the shower when Miranda Lambert’s song Vice started playing on your phone. Standing at the sink not looking in the mirror,

Don’t know where I am or how I got here.

You zoned out after that part, because you realized it was true.

Lately you could never look at yourself in the mirror.

You hated what was looking back at you.

Summary: Yuuri falls ill during a practice at the Ice Castle. Pre-Episode 5.

***

When Victor excused himself from practice to take a quick phone call, Yuuri was fine. Perhaps a little quieter than normal while he rehearsed a combination spin out on the Ice Castle rink, one gloved hand extended gracefully overhead, but there was no indication that anything was wrong.

He was fine.

How that changed so quickly was anyone’s guess.

Victor was gone for less than five minutes, and when he returned, Yuuri was on his knees in the center of the rink with his head in his hands. Victor took one look and started running, even before he fully registered what he was seeing. He wasn’t wearing his skates for practice today, but that didn’t stop him from running out onto the ice and slipping and sliding for the first few steps before he regained his balance.

“Yuuri.” Victor came to a clumsy stop in front of him, and when he dropped to his knees, the ice soaked through the fabric of his pants. He grasped Yuuri’s shoulder and said, “What happened. Did you fall?”

Yuuri was shaking. His face was so pale that even his lips had lost their color, and he kept squeezing his eyes shut and reopening them as if to clear his vision. “Dizzy,” he said.

Notes: So, talking to @minhosmeanhoe about doing something for the end of Teen Wolf and this is it. It’s hard to really express what this show means to me because it has changed my life. So much. So this is literally my rants, through Scott and myself, expressing what this show means to me, thanking it for everything it has done. The things I say are coming legit from me. This isn’t the end for us though. I will not stop writing for teen Wolf, for Stiles. It means too much to let it go away completely. So, just… enjoy my rant I guess. And me spilling my heart out about the show. And of Stiles. And me wishing Stiles was mine.

PS This is unedited. And I don’t even care. So ignore all my typos because I know they exist.

Le Chat {Sirius Black x Reader}

Just some ol’ fluff for y'all. I don’t have much creative ideas for smut but I might make a smut part 2 if someone wants 😂

WARNING: SWEARING, IMPLIED SMUT ENDING, BUT OVERALL FLUFF

Enjoy! @allertonn

xx

“N-N-N-No!” Sirius warned, glaring at the black cat who sat out of his reach above the fireplace where an antique vase was.

He had agreed to watch over (Y/n) who was an animagus like him while the boys looked for an antidote, thinking she was experiencing trouble from transforming back into a human when in fact, she was just tired of putting up with people. She had done this before but the prolonged hours of staying in her animagus form had pushed the four boys into thinking she was stuck and was showing signs she needed help. Obviously, she was enjoying every bit of seeing them panic around the dorm but she was not expecting Sirius to volunteer in watching over her by himself especially when his animagus was a dog. Nonetheless, she kept things “fun” by teasing him and running out of his reach while knocking down vases.

The black cat looked down on him with a smug look on her face, challenging him to take a step closer.

“No, don’t you dare, (Y/n)! I know you can understand me,” Sirius said, her paw touching the vase threateningly. The suspense was killing him and although he was ready to catch the vase if (or when) it falls, he was more worried that she might get hurt once it shatters. He stepped away carefully and sighed, extracting his wand from his back pocket.

“Either we do this the easy way or the hard way,” he said calmly but the cat only hissed at him. “Alright! You’ve pushed me! Accio-”

But before he could finish the spell, (Y/n) swatted the vase at him and dashed somewhere in the common room, hiding under the couch. Sirius caught the vase in time before it had hit the floor, his wand between his teeth.

“Fucking cat…” he mumbled as he settled the vase back on the ground safely and started looking around for any sign of his feline friend.

“Here, kitty, kitty,” he called but there was still no sign of her. His mind was boggled with ideas on where she could’ve hidden underneath when he had a brilliant idea.

“Should’ve thought of this sooner,” he smirked before transforming into a large, black dog. It took a while for him to fully form since he was just beginning to get the hang of it but once he stretched his body into its new figure, he relaxed and began to sniff the air. His senses were completely overwhelmed by what he could smell and less of what he can see. Everything was exactly the same but he could barely see proper colors as he looked around the room.

He focused more on finding (Y/n) instead of comparing too much and so he sniffed every couch, table, and corner until he caught a smell that was all too familiar. He stopped at the red couch where he would often sit by the window and looked underneath.

(Y/n) hissed at him and squeezed to the farthest back where he could not get her. Sirius did not understand why she was being very hard-headed. Nonetheless, he transformed back into himself and stretched his hand under the couch.

“C'mere, you…” he said before finally managing to get a grab at the scruff of her neck, pulling her safely into his arms.

The cat did not surprisingly fight back as he carried her to the couch, keeping his hold on her tight just in case she decided to bounce off again. Sirius sighed exhaustedly before sitting down comfortably on the soft cushion. He stroked her black fur and gave her a bit of space, allowing her to rest on his chest, purring loud.

“They’ll be back, don’t worry,” he said, placing a soft kiss on top of her head. “In the mean time, why don’t you take a nap?”

(Y/n) blinked at him slowly and kneaded his chest with her paws, hoping he knew what she was trying to say. For some reason, ever since she could transform, she somehow knew how to show her affection in ways only a cat would know. Not that she hadn’t attempted before, of course. As a human, she had always liked Sirius but she was scared he might not accept her the way she did with him. Remaining friends was the only option even though she was not satisfied with it. Closing her eyes, she listened to his steady heartbeat and tried not to fall asleep as he talked.

“You’re quite the stubborn cat, you know?” He said, looking up at the red ceiling of the common room, “Not much of a difference, really.”

Say something more!

“I’ve always liked that about you, (Y/n). Always refusing to rest, always wanting to help out people without thinking of yourself…You’ll be the death of me,” he chuckled softly as he went on, “But you know what I like the most about you?”

The black cat blinked.

“Your compassion. I’ve screwed up for than once and yet here you are, waiting for me…I honestly don’t know if you’re permanently a cat now but I don’t mind keeping you.”

Wait, what? Keep me?

Sirius smiled softly at the cat who stared at him with wide, green eyes before he broke away from his trance-like confession.

“Oh Merlin, I’m losing my mind…You can’t possibly stay like this forever. We need to get you back. I need to get you back. I reckon Professor McGonagall has some books about situations like this. Hopefully, she won’t suspect a thing…”

No! Don’t bring me to her! This has gone too far!

Sirius stood up with her in his arms as he waited for his friends and just as he heard the heavy footsteps approaching, (Y/n) suddenly shifted into her human form, legs wrapped around his waist. Her hands rested on his shoulder while he stared at her, completely shocked but still managing to keep his grip on her bare thighs. She was dressed in his oversized black coat and a smirk was on her lips.

“Hi,” she said innocently and that’s when he pressed his lips against hers, kissing her sweetly. It was her turn to feel shocked. She had not expected to him to love her back this much but now that it was definitely happening, she did not hesitate to kiss him back. Sirius smiled through the kiss before they finally pulled away.

“Hello to you too,” he said happily, brushing her hair over her ear in order to see that smile he fell so in love with.

“Sirius! We found it! We found the antido- WHAT,” James exclaimed at the sight of (Y/n) who was still clinging onto Sirius with a nervous chuckle. Remus shook his head at them while Peter bounced happily on his feet.

“I should’ve seen this coming…” Remus muttered.

“Hooray! Great job, Sirius!” Peter cheered.

However, the three of them had now set their eyes on (Y/n)’s legs, confusion written all over their faces which Sirius was quick to catch on but he did not care to explain right now.

“Honestly, boys, do you mind?!” He barked protectively as he set (Y/n) down and covered her with his body.

“There wasn’t even anything to see.”

“Yup! Definitely nothing.”

“Oh, wow, look at the time! It’s annoy Snivellus time! Gotta run!”

“Bye, Sirius!”

The boys left as soon as possible, not wanting to see any more of that and risk getting hexed by the couple. (Y/n) turned to Sirius shortly after they had disappeared through the doorway, her fingers in his hair while his eyes looked at her lovingly.

“So, Hogsmeade on Saturday?” He asked.

“Of course, Sirius,” she replied, kissing him quick and light.

He returned the gesture eagerly and leaned in close to her ear afterwards before he whispered, his voice now heavy with lust.

“Oh, and about that vase? I ought to punish you for that.”

(Y/n) smirked at this and the two raced back to his room, locking the door with numerous spells to avoid anyone from interrupting them again.

Thiam - I know everything about you.

It was movie night, their first since the war. The pack had agreed that it would be at Liam’s house since his parents were out of town for the weekend and it was known that his house always had the best snacks. What Scott and the rest continued to be completely oblivious of was the fact that it was Theo who was on snack duty in the Dunbar-Geyer household, so they had him to thank for all the delicious food there.

Theo was sat in the middle of Liam’s bed where he had left him when the first of the pack had arrived. Liam had glanced back at him expectingly as he reached for his bedroom door handle, but Theo had shaken his head and said he would be down in a minute. The truth was, he still didn’t know how welcome he would be among the pack after everything he had done. Liam had tried and tried again to get him to understand that he was forgiven and would be accepted now because he has proven himself to be a good person, but it was undeniably hard to believe.

Yoongi finds himself waking up to the noises in bed than the ones outside of the apartment. The night hasn’t even had the chance to die out yet, still basking in the sky with darkness and it makes the moon glow twice as bright with the stars scattered like glitter for such a beautiful masterpiece but… Yoongi can’t appreciate that now.

He turns his head to his side, cheek pressed to the pillow as his eyes stare at the back of your head. His thoughts are formulating past the haze of coming to wake, blinking past sleepiness and pushing down his needs of catching up on rest to focus on how you refuse to look at him. Remaining unmoving and with staggered breathing, Yoongi uses his voice and calls out for you. It sounds weird, almost foreign because he would’ve never expected to speak at this hour but with the blaring numbers of 3:21 blinking by the side, it’s a reminder he’s awake and yes, his mouth works.

When I Was Your Man // A Stiles Stilinski Smut

Prompt/Song: When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars.

Relationship: Stiles Stilinski x Reader

Warnings: NSFW, Explicit Sexual Content, Fingering, Cheating, Swearing, and Angst.

Word Count: 7,956 (No ragrets. I like detail, okay? I enjoy making you feel like you’re just as involved in the story as the characters are. So, sue me.)

Disclaimer: I don’t know who the gif belongs to because I found it on Google, but credit to them none-the-less.

Your name: submit What is this?

Wiping his clammy hands down on his crimson red pants and taking a much needed deep breath, Stiles Stilinski walked into the loud dance club to attend his ex-girlfriend’s birthday party. Which he technically wasn’t invited to but went anyway, because the man knew no boundaries. He did know, however, that she probably didn’t want to see him ever again and yet he couldn’t find it in himself to stay away. He absolutely hates that he had to continuously lie to protect the woman he loved, the woman he still loves, from the supernatural world but what he truly hates the most is that he’d have to constantly let her down because of it.

He’s lost count of all the times he had to cancel on their dates because someone in this chaotic town needed saving or how many times he had to try to come up with excuses to cover up his secret only for her to see right through them everytime. It broke Stiles’ heart to know that he continuously deceived her, but he knew that he had no other choice since he didn’t want her anywhere near the danger the pack always faced.

The day she ended things with him is the day Stiles hates the most in his life. He couldn’t handle the way she cried as she told him all of the nights she spent sobbing because of him or all of the times she felt betrayed because her own boyfriend would deny telling her the truth whenever she asked. Stiles’ heart shattered when he watched her walk away from him, never turning back, and it still remains that way. It’s already been two months since they broke up, but the wounds were definitely still open.

“Stiles?” He heard a voice call over the loud music and the human instantly turned around to see a familiar redhead. “Is that really you?”

“Yes, Lyds.” He smiled at her shocked face. “It’s me.”

“You seriously came to your ex-girlfriend’s party without an invite?” Lydia smirked, now chuckling along with him. “How daring of you.”

“What can I say?” Stiles shrugged. “I’m a badass by nature.”

The laughter that erupted from the banshee’s throat should’ve offended him, but Stiles laughed along with her instead. They both knew Stiles was a big softie and not exactly a badass, but he could still be tough whenever it was truly necessary.

“Of course you are.” The redhead snickered, lightly patting him on his broad shoulder. “But, I would avoid staying here if I were you.”

“And why is that?” Stiles narrowed his eyes at her, surprised when she, suddenly, stopped being in a light-hearted mood and became serious.

“You don’t know?” Lydia cleared her throat, nervous now that she realizes she’s the one who has tell one of her best friends the bad news. That without a doubt will hurt him even more than he already was.

“Know what?” Stiles asked, now anxious along with her. “Lydia, you’re scaring me.”

“S-She has a boyfriend.”

The second those words came out of her mouth, Stiles’ already broken heart dropped down into his stomach and shattered even more, which he honestly didn’t think was possible. A gaping and bleeding hole took the place where he once had a beating heart. Stiles felt as if the Winter Soldier himself had punched into his chest with his powerful metal arm and he was officially done for. It doesn’t even matter what Stiles does to try and fix himself, he’s now always going to be broken.

“A boyfriend?” He asked, his voice weak and Lydia winced at how pained he sounded.

The redhead just nodded, turning herself around to point to the couple wrapped in each other’s arms on the dance floor as they moved their bodies to the beat of the deafening music. Stiles reluctantly followed the direction of her finger and bit down on his bottom lip to somehow keep from crying when he saw the girl he so desperately loved dancing beautifully. He watched in awe at the way her hair bounced against her shoulders as she happily sang the words to a song Stiles had never heard before. But, he already liked it just by the way she seemed to. Jealousy and hurt flooded his body at the sight of some unknown guy dancing closely to her with his hands gripping her waist, the same waist Stiles held onto whenever they were intimate. The same hips he loved planting kisses on when he moved lower and lower down her body until he reached the area she desired him the most.

“I should probably go.” Stiles stated, trying to swallow the hard lump in his dry throat.

“Yeah,” Lydia nodded, but then smirked with an idea. “Or you could get a quick drink first. It is open bar after all.”

Tearing his eyes away from the painful scene, Stiles looked down at the banshee and nodded. Lydia smiled and lead them through the sweaty crowd and towards the bar, the smell of alcohol getting stronger with every step they took.

“Bartender!” Lydia called once they reached it, slamming her hands down on the counter. “Can you get me two beers, please?”

“Two beers coming right up.” The polite man smiled and pulled out the two their drinks from under the counter.

He snapped the tops off with a specific tool and slid the beers over to the redhead, who easily caught them before they could fall off the surface.

“Thank you very much.” Lydia smiled back at him as she handed Stiles a bottle.

The young man immediately took a swig and enjoyed the feeling of the bitter liquid making its way down his once dry throat. Lydia looked at him with a kind smile on her face, taking her own sip of the drink. She put the bottle back down on the counter as she licked the remaining liquid off her lips, but Stiles didn’t dare put his drink away. He needed this beer more than anything to somehow feel better at the realization that he lost the girl he actually believed he could get back, forever.

“Are you okay?” Lydia asked, noticing how quiet and still he was. Two characteristics Stiles Stilinski certainly never displays.

“No, I’m not.” Stiles answered truthfully, taking another sip of his alcohol.

“I know what it’s like.” She patted his shoulder to comfort him. “But, hey think about the bright side. At least she’s not a lizard who turned into werewolf then left you to go to London. Or a former Alpha that actually killed people you knew and ended up dying before you could ever see him redeem himself.”

A muffled laugh escaped from his lips even though he was still drinking from his bottle and Stiles swallowed his liquor before turning to look at Lydia whole-heartedly.

“Right, but at least things between you and Parrish seem to be working.” Stiles answered.

“Yeah, when he’s not on fire.” Lydia scoffed. “And I’m not even talking about sex.”

This comment was enough to make Stiles’ heart a little less heavy as he detached his attention from the dancing girl to his best female friend and her spicy sex life.

The dancing girl, on the other hand, was currently wiping away the accumulated sweat on her forehead as she continued dancing with her new boyfriend. He was the sweetest and most attentive guy she’s ever met. He always makes sure to spend as much time with her as humanly possible, so much so that his GPA score in college had been dropping from his lack of studying. It was very refreshing to her, having a boyfriend around all the time… something completely different from Stiles Stilinski.

However, it wasn’t at all his fault. He couldn’t control the supernatural or make it go away, but he believed it was his job to at least save the people this world puts in danger. It hurt her so much to know that Stiles had a mysterious secret she could never be apart of. She knew that Stiles loved her and only ever did what he thought was best. But, it’s too bad it just wasn’t enough.

As if on cue, the heartbroken girl turned her head at the exact moment that Stiles decided to take a peak at her. The world screeched to a halt when their eyes locked and finally saw each other again after being separated for two whole months. Her eyes were wide and her jaw dropped at the sight of the brown haired boy with freckles painted all over his fair skin. Her heart immediately beat faster and she felt as if it would suddenly jump out of her chest and fly towards him. She missed him, there’s no doubting that. And apparently, so did her body and soul. The way she’s feeling right now, just by the realization that she’s in the same room as him, was enough to know.

Stiles carefully put his bottle down on the bar counter and tuned out everything Lydia was currently saying, his attention only focused on the girl gazing at him. Her face was completely shocked and he chuckled internally at how astonished she looked. Stiles could see the blush heating up on her face all the way from the other side of the bar and it made his heart flutter to know he still had an effect on her.

Lydia stopped talking absentmindedly when she noticed Stiles slowly lift his hand and wave with a smile on his face towards someone on the dance floor. The redhead turned to see just who he was greeting and immediately smiled when she realized it was exactly the person he came here to see.

“You should go say hi.” Lydia suggested.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Stiles answered, no longer waving to her but still holding the gaze.

“Oh, she already sees you.” The banshee shrugged. “I see no harm in at least going over there to wish her a happy birthday. I mean, at this point, it would be rude if you didn’t.”

Stiles carefully thought over Lydia’s suggestion, her words repeating in his head over and over again. He wanted to talk to her desperately, but then again he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable in any way. He knows how recent this all still is and he’s well aware of the pain pooling inside of her just like it was in him.

“Fine.” Stiles nodded, taking a deep breath before standing up.

Stiles’ ex-girlfriend’s eyes widened even more, which wasn’t thought possible until now, when he stood up from the bar stool and began walking over towards her. She didn’t know whether or not she wanted him to approach her, but she definitely knew that her heartbeat rose with every step the boy she still loved took.

That’s when the unexpected happened and neither one of them were ready for it. The techno beat song that was echoing in the dance club ended and was replaced with a slow love song. But, not just any love song, their love song.

Stiles immediately stopped in his tracks and she immediately stopped dancing. Her boyfriend looked at her with a confused glance, but her focus was locked on Stiles. Neither one of them knew what to do as all of the memories, the times they spent together, the intimate touches and the feelings came crashing down on them with full force. They both almost fell at how weak their knees felt.

The way she was gazing at him right now made a new sense of confidence coming from an unknown source spark in his blood and an idea lit up in his mind. It could either end up really well or really badly, but Stiles didn’t give his anxiety the time to think it over. He moved his legs once again and continued walking towards her which made the girl panic. Her boyfriend continuously asked her if she was okay but she couldn’t even answer, too nervous over the boy approaching her.

“Hi.” Stiles greeted and she swallowed nervously at the sound of his voice again after so long.

“H-Hey.” She responded and completely let go of her boyfriend to push her hair behind her ears, a habit she has whenever she felt anxious. Which Stiles knew about and couldn’t help but smile at how adorable she looked.

“Hi.” The boyfriend spoke up and Stiles took his attention off of her to look over at the source of the voice. The young man told Stiles his name even though it was pointless considering Stiles would forget it in a matter of minutes. “And you are?”

“Stiles.” The boy with freckles answered, politely extending his hand out towards the fellow guy. They both shook hands with kind smiles on their faces.

“What brings you to the dance floor?” The boyfriend asked.

“I was actually wondering if I could borrow your girl for just one dance.” Stiles requested and the girl felt like she was about to faint. She didn’t know if she had it in her to be able to dance with Stiles without falling apart.

“Sure, but don’t steal her for too long or I’ll get jealous.” The boyfriend chuckled after taking a few seconds to think it over. The man was undoubtedly a good person and Stiles actually liked him as he turned around to place a chaste kiss on his ex’s lips. “I’ll be over at the bar with the boys if you need me.”

She just nodded and he looked at Stiles one last time before smiling at the both of them and walking away. She gazed up at Stiles with doe eyes and he couldn’t help but smile at how beautiful she was. Extending his hand out to her, she took it and he placed it on his shoulder at the same time that he used his other hand to put it on her waist. When both of her hands were on his shoulders, Stiles rested his other hand on the other side of her waist. Their faces were just inches apart as he stared intensely into her eyes, her heart pounding heavily against her ribcage at how lovingly he gawked at her. It’s been a month since she found a new boyfriend but Stiles certainly still had her wrapped around his finger.

“You know, when I found out you had a new boyfriend I was really hoping I’d hate him.” Stiles spoke up as they started to sway their bodies to the rhythm of the song that belonged to them and no one else. “But, damn, I actually like the dude.”

“Yeah, he’s a really nice guy.” She laughed at Stiles’ surprising compliment and the breath-taking sound made his heart stop.

“You really know how to pick them.” Stiles chuckled, quirking his eyebrows at her to make her laugh again and a smile appeared on his face when it worked.

“I guess I do.” She giggled, letting her head fall on his chest for the slightest second as she laughed before picking it back up. But, this time she was no longer laughing and had a serious expression planted on. “I just don’t know how to keep them interested enough to stay.”

“What are you talking about?” Stiles questioned, furious that any boy would ever dare think this amazing girl in his arms was boring. “Who was stupid enough to think that?”

She looked at him with pain evident in her eyes, water glossing over them. Which only meant she was about to cry and Stiles’ gut wrenched at the scene. The last time he saw her cry was when she ended their relationship and it was the worst thing he’d ever witnessed in his entire life. Stiles strongly believed that this beautiful woman should never had tears in her eyes, only sparks of happiness.

“You.”

Stiles felt as if he was just trampled on by a herd of the biggest elephants on the planet when she referred to him. The three lettered word took the shattered heart in his body and pounded it until it was a mere pile of dry dust, making him feel worse than he ever had.

“M-Me?” He stuttered, not being able to think properly. “How?”

“You always canceled on dates, you never texted me or called me back enough, you always put your secret life first that you’d never let me in on, and you constantly felt this need to lie to me for no real reason.” She listed, trying her best to wipe away her tears but there was no point due to the immense amount running down her cheeks. “I guess I just wasn’t good enough for you.”

“Don’t you dare say that.” Stiles shook his head, taking one of his hands off her waist to place it on her flushed cheek. “You were- you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

“Then, why didn’t it ever seem like it?”

“Because things are more complicated than you can imagine.” He defended, but she simply scoffed at his ridiculously vague response. “Look, I need you to believe that whenever I lie to you, I do have my reasons.”

“It’s too bad that I don’t believe you.” She pulled his hand off her cheek and began to slowly detach herself from his hold.

“No, don’t leave!” Stiles panicked, not wanting her to leave his presence just yet. Or ever, really. “I-I still love you and I know that I can make it up to you somehow-”

“Stiles-” She cried, not wanting to hear him speak because she knew that if he did she would be putty in his hands soon enough.

“Wait, just let me finish.” He interrupted her just like she had interrupted him, his voice already desperate. “I know I messed up and I know I can never take it back. But, I can change from now on and, I promise, I will change. You have my heart and I am nothing without you so please– please –don’t do this. Just come back to me and I swear I’ll do everything right this time. I’ll always pick up your calls on the first ring, I’ll buy you flowers every damn day, I’ll take you to every party this town can offer because I know how much you love to dance, I won’t cancel on dates anymore because you will always be my priority, and I promise I’ll give you all of my hours when I have the chance.”

He confessed the beautiful words with such emotion and love in his frantic voice that it made her heart stop and melt in her ribcage. Even though she’s been trying to move on and find a way to forget him, there’s no doubt that Stiles Stilinski still had the key to her locked heart. She wanted to be with him more than anything, but she also wanted to respect herself. Men always say they’re gonna change, but they never really do and she knew that. Even though she wasn’t used to it, the girl had to put herself and her own feelings first this time.

“Will you tell me what you’ve been hiding from me?” She asked, hoping desperately that he would say yes.

Stiles’ face fell to the floor in defeat because he knew that that wasn’t possible. Everyone that gets involved in his dangerous world either always gets hurt or… worse. And Stiles would never forgive himself if something happened to the woman he loved. He would rather lay down his own life than ever let her be vulnerable to the risks and threats that come with the supernatural.

“I-I can’t.”

“Then, I can’t go back to you Stiles.” She responded, her heart breaking even more. “I deserve better than this.”

“I know you do.” Stiles’ voice was weak with the tears threatening to escape his eyes.

“But, I still want you in my life. I still want to be friends.” The girl requested and Stiles scoffed at the common sentence every former couple says but never actually commits to. He felt her soft hand rest on his chin and lift his face that had fallen to look up back at her. “Stiles, I’m serious. I can’t lose you.”

“I can’t lose you either.” He confessed, feeling small.

“Promise me you’ll be in my life.” She requested. “Even if we don’t have the emotional stability to see each other all the time, just promise me you’ll at least be there for the big moments.”

Stiles looked into her breath-taking eyes and he felt himself getting lost in them. She was everything to him and he would never want to lose her friendship, even if that meant having a painful one. Butterflies made their way into her stomach when the edges of Stiles’ lips curled into a beautiful smile.

“I promise.”

~

Lydia Martin rushed down the halls of the beautiful hotel with the life-saving tool in her perfectly manicured hands, the sound of her heels clicking on the floor as she ran. Quickly opening the door to the dressing room she so desperately needed to approach, the redhead strode inside along with Malia hot on her trail. Their eyes landed on the girl that used to date Stiles who has now become one of their best friends and smiled the second they saw her smile at how breathless they both were.

“I got it!” Lydia celebrated, walking over to the girl and handing her the mascara that was in her hands.

“And I got this.” Malia smirked, gesturing towards the alcoholic beverage in her grasp.

“Congratulations to both of you.” (Y/N) laughed, taking the mascara Lydia was giving her and opening it to apply it on her eyelashes.

“Do you need help?” Lydia asked, closing the door to the dressing room.

“I’m okay.” She smiled, but immediately groaned when she smudged mascara on her eye lid. She turned away from the mirror she was using to face Lydia, who already had a grin on her face. “Please save me.”

“Alright, Alright.” The redhead chuckled, walking closer and taking the mascara from her. “Lydia Martin to the rescue.”

She began to put on the mascara on her eyelashes as she internally appreciated the rest of the makeup on (Y/N)’s flawless face. She had a simple smokey eye that really made her eye color pop along with the perfect amount of blush spread across her fair cheeks. She hadn’t put lipstick on yet considering it’s the last thing you should do when applying makeup, but Lydia already knew the right shade that would tie up her entire look.

“There you go.” The redhead smiled when she finished the job and closed the mascara, putting it on the dresser her friend was using. “All set.”

“Thanks, Lyds.” She smiled, her entire face glowing with happiness. “You’re a life saver.”

“I know.” Lydia smirked, pushing her strawberry blonde hair behind her shoulders for sass.

“You know who else is a life saver?” Malia spoke up, walking over to sit on the small couch. “Scott.”

“And why is that?” Lydia questioned.

“Because I just overheard someone was trying to sneak in and he took care of it.” Malia shrugged, taking a sip of her drink.

“Who was trying to sneak in?” (Y/N) asked, curious that someone would try to ruin her special day.

“I don’t know.” Malia shrugged. “But, the dude was absolutely hysterical from what I heard.”

Even though the girls didn’t want to believe her, Malia actually had a point. The person that wanted so desperately to enter the hotel indeed was hysterical. But, the thing was, he wasn’t just any person. He was Stiles Stilinski and he would stop at nothing to get inside to the girl he still loved after being away from her for an entire year.

“Bro, you know this isn’t a good idea!” Scott exclaimed at his best friend frantically trying to get out of the Alpha’s grasp. “Go home.”

“Scott, I can’t just go home!” Stiles whisper-shouted, careful not to let any of the guests know about the scene he was causing. He didn’t want to make things any worse than what he already had planned. “I have to see her.”

“And do what exactly?” Scott questioned, his eyes narrowing at the human.

“Stop her from marrying the wrong guy!” Stiles yelled and the werewolf let go of his best friend from how shocked he was, his jaw dropping and eyes widening at the process.

“You can’t do that.” He shook his head. “Stiles, don’t do that.”

“I have to, Scott.” The human answered, fixing his vest and letting out a sigh. “She’s the love of my life and I can’t let her walk down that aisle if I’m not the one at the end of it.”

“Stiles, this is the most idiotic plan you’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot considering all of the really bad ideas you’ve had before.”

“I don’t care.” Stiles huffed. “I have to talk to her.”

“Okay, fine.” Scott stated, his voice challenging. “I’ll let you in if you give me your invitation.”

Stiles’ eyes dropped to the floor in defeat and he shifted on his feet as Scott watched his best friend with a pained heart. He hates that he has to do this, but he’ll hate himself even more if he lets him go and Stiles gets hurt even more. The girl he loves is getting married today and she’s not just gonna drop everything for him. Life isn’t a movie, it’s real and usually comes with disappointing endings.

“I-I can’t.”

“Because you don’t have one.” Scott said and Stiles just nodded. “Don’t you think that’s enough of a sign to let you know that this isn’t something you should do?”

“What would you do if it was Allison marrying someone else?” Stiles asked, picking his head back up to look at Scott.

“I’d let her.”

“No, you wouldn’t.” Stiles disagreed, knowing his best friend would fight for the love of his life until his very last breath. “And I’m not letting (Y/N) go either.”

“Stiles, you’re just gonna get hurt.”

“So, be it.”

Before Scott could even expect it, Stiles rushed past him and immediately ran down the halls towards the room he just witnessed Lydia and Malia entering. His detective skills made him deduct that that’s where the bride was and he approached it without even thinking, Scott running right after him.

The same door flew open from two running young adults for the second time today, but this time (Y/N) didn’t smile and lightly laugh when it was revealed who had barged into her dressing room. Instead, her smile she had on with the girls had faded.

Awkward tension instantly invaded the small space when hers and Stiles’ eyes landed on each other, her heart already stopping and her breath hitching in her now dry throat. Stiles was also shocked, not knowing what to expect when he finally saw her again after all that time. Neither one of them said anything, they just kept their wide eyes locked together and didn’t even try to hide the fact that they were both breathing heavily.

“I’m so sorry!” Scott shouted, breaking the awful silence. “I-I tried to stop him, I swear! But, he wouldn’t work with me and-”

“Scott, it’s okay.” The bride intervened his panic with a weak and strained voice.

“I-It is?” Scott stuttered in surprise and she nodded, everyone else in the room just as shocked as the werewolf.

“So, you’re the crazy dude trying to break in?” Malia spoke up and Stiles just nodded as well, not willing to take his stare off of the girl he wanted to be with. “Makes sense.”

Stiles’ eyes trailed across (Y/N), taking in her sight after missing it so much. She was so beautiful he had almost forgot. Sure, she was only in a purple satin robe and her hair was down in its natural state, but the young woman looked breath-taking to him anyway. And Stiles himself looked amazing to her. He was wearing a white button up shirt with a silver vest on top of it and a silver bowtie to tie everything together, not to mention the black tuxedo pants, and (Y/N) was certain she would faint at his never ending beauty.

“Guys, can you give me and Stiles a minute?” She asked and everyone’s eyebrows raised.

“Are you sure?” Lydia asked.

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Okay.” Lydia nodded, grabbing Malia’s hand as they walked towards the door. “We’ll be at the temple.”

The redhead got a hold of Scott last before she pulled the three outside and the werewolf shut the door behind them, leaving the two exes alone in the same room together. And to say they were both extremely nervous wouldn’t be enough to describe how intense everything felt.

“I wonder if my invite got lost in the mail.” Stiles cleared his throat, speaking up first. “Because I’m pretty sure I was supposed to receive one.”

“I-I didn’t think you’d want to come.” The bride responded nervously.

“Yeah, but I made you a promise, remember?” Stiles answered, taking a step towards her. “I’ll never miss the big moments.”

Her heart fluttered and she immediately stood up, approaching him as well. Their bodies closer and already craving the other at how much they missed each other.

“Well, I’m glad you’re here.” She confessed and Stiles smiled.

“Me, too.”

“Did you bring a date?” She asked and Stiles scoffed at her question.

“I could never.” He shrugged like it was the most obvious thing ever.

“Why not?” (Y/N) tilted her head to the side, confused as to why someone so handsome like him wouldn’t have a girl attached to his arms.

“Because I’m in love with someone else.”

She didn’t even have to ask who it was, just by the way he was gawking at her like she was the only girl in the world made her already know. She hadn’t cried since that night she saw Stiles at her birthday party, but that strike was about to be ruined with how the familiar burning sensation poked in her eyes.

“Stiles, y-you should really go.” She stuttered, worried that if he stayed something would happen between them.

She loves her fiancee more than anything in the world, but there’s always going to be something there with Stiles. He was her first boyfriend, her first time, her first love, her first everything. That kind of person doesn’t just go away in your life, they’ll always be there lingering in the back of your mind and there’s nothing you can do to change that.

“Not without doing this first.” He shook his head, taking one more step towards her until he finally reached her.

Stiles’ hands gently grabbed her cheeks and, without even thinking twice, he crashed his soft lips against her plump ones. The bride couldn’t even find it in herself to stop him, her mind and body already falling into a trance. She understood that letting him kiss her was wrong especially since she was about to get married to another man in a few, but all she could think about was his familiar mouth moving against hers.

The kiss wasn’t just any simple kiss though, it was full of love and saudade. A word in portuguese that means a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent someone that one loves. Saudade was once described as “the love that remains” after someone is gone and is the recollection of feelings or experiences that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, happiness. Which now triggers the senses and makes one feel alive again.

Once they both needed to breathe, Stiles pulled away but kept his hands on her face. He smiled at how swollen her lips now were and she felt thankful for not having put any lipstick on before he arrived.

“I love you.” Stiles stated, caressing her skin with his thumb and smiled.

She didn’t say it back or really had the time to if she wanted to say it in the first place because the next thing she knew Stiles’ lips are back on hers and he’s pushing her towards her dresser, the back of her knees hitting the edge. Stiles’ hands moved from her cheeks to swipe away all of the makeup on the dresser, throwing them on the floor, and lift her up on the surface. When his lips went from hers to place tempting kisses on her neck as he slowly untied her robe, (Y/N) immediately snapped back into reality.

“Stop!” She exclaimed, instantly pushing him off of her and breathing in the air her lungs were begging for.

“Did I do something wrong?” Stiles panted, his voice worried.

“Yes! I’m about to get married, Stiles! You can’t just kiss me or try anything else!”

“I-I’m sorry.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously. “I couldn’t help myself.”

“Leave, Stiles.” She ordered, pointing to the door. “You can’t be here.”

“No, no, no. I don’t want to go and I know you don’t want that either.” Stiles shook his head frantically, approaching her again. “Remember when you asked me to always be in your life?”

“Yeah, but not like this!” She flailed her arms to express her frustration. “I want us to be friends not destroy each other with our lingering feelings.”

“I’m sorry, I really am. But, my feelings are always gonna be there.” Stiles placed his hands on the surface around her thighs, but didn’t dare touch her out of respect. “Especially since how we ended things so abruptly! I never got the proper closure.”

“And neither did I.” She retorted. “But we have to move on, Stiles. We’re just two disasters that are detrimental to each other. We aren’t meant to be.”

“I can’t be apart from you.”

“I can’t be with you.”

Silence filled the room as they both thought, neither one of them ready to except the other’s terms. Stiles can’t imagine a life not alongside (Y/N) and she can’t imagine a life constantly being lied to with him.

“Does he make you happy?” Stiles asked suddenly and she certainly didn’t expect it.

“Yes, he does.”

Stiles couldn’t handle the truth she just confessed to him because in that moment it finally hit him will full force. He would never get the girl he was in love with back ever again. She had slipped from his hands and there really was nothing he could do to have her return. The gorgeous bride before him was the one that got away.

“So, is this it?” He asked, not caring that there were actually tears escaping from his eyes. “Is this the end of our love story?”

She didn’t dare say anything because she knew if she did she would burst into tears and sobs. Instead, the bride just nodded.

“C-Can I say goodbye?” Stiles asked, never feeling more vulnerable in his entire life.

“Yeah.” She shrugged, thinking he was just going to hug her and leave but was completely surprised when he kissed her again.

Stiles held tightly on her waist and kissed her with so much force, she almost fell back on the mirror. (Y/N) knew that this would be their last kiss ever and therefore didn’t feel the need to stop him. She allowed Stiles to kiss her with everything he had in him and she kissed him back just as passionately. Both of them forgot the whole world around them as they let themselves fall into this moment of pure weakness.

“I’ll go now.” Stiles breathed, pulling away and placing one last kiss on her forehead as he let go of her to leave the room.

The blushing bride thought long and hard before she decided that that wasn’t enough to say goodbye. She was well aware she was about to get married, but she also knew that this was the last time she’d ever have the opportunity to be with Stiles again. After today, they would be officially over and, for that reason, she immediately grabbed his hand and stopped him in his tracks. Stiles instantly turned around with wide eyes when she pulled him back to her.

“Wait,” She stated, spreading her legs for Stiles to settle in between them and placing her hands on the back of his neck. “Not yet.”

Before he could even ask what the yet meant in her sentence, her mouth returned on his and this time she was the one that kissed him hard. Out of pure instinct, his hands rested on her waist and she tugged his hair which earned her a small moan from Stiles. She took advantage of this and slid her tongue inside, Stiles moaning again in surprise.

“What are you doing?” Stiles panted, breaking their kiss the second she began undoing his bowtie and threw it on the floor.

“Saying goodbye the right way.”

He finally understood what she was getting at when she pushed his vest off his shoulders and began unbuttoning his white shirt. Stiles didn’t waste any time either, considering she was literally on a tight schedule, and untied the straps of her robe. The satin fabric fell on her dresser and Stiles let out a shameless moan when he realized she was completely naked.

“I didn’t want any panty lines.” She shrugged, taking off his shirt. “And the dress has a built-in bra anyway.”

“Oh, I am in no way complaining.” Stiles smirked, letting go of her to quickly unbuckle his belt and open his pants. They instantly fell on the floor and he pulled off his boxers as well, stepping out of both pieces of clothing.

The two gawked at each other, enjoying the sight of one another’s naked bodies after spending so much time away. Stiles licked his lips at her perky nipples, waiting to be nibbled on, and she couldn’t take her eyes off of his increasing erection. He wasn’t at his full potential just yet, but the young woman still believed he looked incredibly sexy.

Stiles’ lips attacked her neck and sucked hard on her pulse point, his hands wrapping around her back as he pushed her bare body into his.

“Don’t leave any marks.” She requested and the words without a doubt wounded him because he knew she didn’t want any evidence of their time together. Even though it hurt like a bitch, Stiles pushed the pain down and focused on making her moan.

Which he definitely succeeded in because in a matter of seconds, the bride was a whimpering mess under him and the sounds jolted through him straight to his dick. What turned her on even more than what he already was doing to her was the delicious feeling of his erection rubbing against the inside of her thigh.

“Stiles, we don’t have much time.” She moaned, her hips bucking against him and begging for the friction to calm down the throbbing ache in her core.

“Are you wet enough?” He asked before bringing his hand down her body to slide his finger through her surprisingly soaking folds. “Oh, you definitely are.”

Stiles’ middle finger landed on her swollen clitoris and her eyes immediately shut when he rubbed slow circles against her wet nub. The increasing feeling of desire rushed through both of their bodies and he couldn’t help himself when he attached his mouth on one of her inviting breasts, sucking hard as his tongue flicked her nipple. The bride could already feel pleasure build inside of her and she knew that she would lose her mind if he wasn’t in her soon enough.

“Stiles,” She panted, the young man’s cock twitching at the sound of her begging his name. “Please.”

“Okay, okay.” Stiles nodded, biting down on her nipple and letting go of her now wet breast with a pop. “I don’t suppose you have a condom on you, do you?”

“No.” She laughed. “But, we don’t need one.”

“We don’t?” He asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

“I’m on the pill.” She stated and the pain inside of him resurfaced when he realized just why she was taking such precautions.

Stiles didn’t want to think about the fact that she was having sex with someone else and that, after tonight, he’ll be able to touch her, kiss her, hold her, make love to her as much as he damn pleases. The woman that has his ruined heart in her hands was going to be a wife and what hurt most was she wasn’t going to be his wife. The young man decided to ignore his feelings and just enjoy this one last moment with her as fully as he could.

Stiles removed his hand from her core and used it to pump himself a few times as she spread her legs more for him. When he felt like he was ready enough, Stiles aligned himself with her entrance and slowly pushed in. (Y/N) immediately moaned at the feeling of his thick staff stretching her tight walls and Stiles was a mess of so many different emotions.

Of course he was extremely turned on and loved that his cock was now buried deep inside of her, but he was also sad and actually felt like crying. Saying goodbye to the hope he had of being with her again was the hardest thing he’d ever have to do and Stiles, honestly, didn’t know if he could bear it. Sure, the girl he was currently making love to wasn’t the only one in the universe. But, to Stiles it seemed like she was.

He thrusted inside of her slowly and let his head fall on her shoulder at the incredible sensation of his member sliding in and out of her tight walls. Pleasure grew quickly in the two, both of them enjoying the feeling of being one again. The throbbing inside of her stopped, but appeared in Stiles instead. His cock unable to hide how much he adored her warm and slick core around him.

After making sure she was ready for it, Stiles increased his pace and was pounding inside of her in no time. All of the built up sexual frustration and tension between them really helped to make the knots in their stomachs tighten immediately. Stiles hitched her feet up on the dresser and (Y/N) couldn’t find the self control in her to keep her screams down. Stiles was fucking her in an entirely different angle, repeatedly hitting a sensitive spot she didn’t even know she had, and she didn’t care if people could hear how loud she was.

Stiles didn’t care either, in fact he secretly wanted people to hear. He wanted everyone to know that he was the one giving her immense pleasure and that no one in the world could make love to her like he could. She was screaming underneath him and her core would occasionally clench around Stiles, making him scream out as well. The continuous fast pace and hard thrusting didn’t take long to make the two near their much anticipated orgasms.

Not only did the dirty sounds of their moans and screams echo in the dressing room, but so did the sound of the dresser roughly banging against the wall along with their connected and wet groins slapping together. The sounds were music to Stiles’ ears and he never wanted to ever stop being with her. But, he knew that that wish would soon meet its end from how obviously close she was to falling over the edge. Without really wanting to, Stiles brought his hand down to her clitoris and rubbed intensely to guide her to her release.

The knot inside of her instantly exploded and spread an inexplicable amount of pleasure all throughout her body. It was so intense that she couldn’t control her own shaking and her core clenching down on him. Which, in response, Stiles immediately came as well. (Y/N) moaned at the feeling of his heated liquid shooting up inside of her and Stiles didn’t stop thrusting any time soon. He wanted to soak in this last memory they would create together as much as he could and he wanted it to last.

It was when she put her hands on his hips to stop his friction from how sensitive she’d become that Stiles halted his movements. Her ex-boyfriend then proceeded to place sweet kisses on her neck and cheeks before reluctantly pulling out. Stiles enjoyed the sight of her completely breathless because of him and his wet dick glistening with her juices one last time.

(Y/N) used her robe to clean herself up as Stiles put his clothes back on. His pants were the first ones on, followed by his white shirt and vest. The bride jumped off the desk and Stiles instinctively ran to her aid when her knees wobbled and she almost fell.

“You okay?” He asked and she nodded with a smile, giggling at the situation.

“I couldn’t be better.”

“Well, you are getting married today after all.” Stiles smiled.

“Which reminds me!” She pulled away from his grasp and rushed over to a rack that held her absolutely gorgeous wedding dress. “Can you help me put this on? I’ll help you tie your bowtie.”

“Of course.” Stiles chuckled, putting his undone bowtie around his neck as he approached her.

Stiles carefully and kindfully helped her put her wedding dress on and he almost fainted at how beautiful she looked. His eyes watered at the breath-taking sight and he envied her groom because he was the luckiest man in the entire world.

“How do I look?” She asked, spinning around in her dress happily.

“Words cannot describe how amazing you look.” Stiles answered truthfully and the bride blushed in response. “He’s a lucky man, you know.”

“I do know.”

“(Y/N), I hope he’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of.” Stiles confessed, gazing straight into her doe eyes. “I hope he always pick up your calls on the first ring, I hope he buys you flowers every damn day, I hope he takes you to every party this town can offer because I know how much you love to dance, I hope he never cancels on dates because you will always be his priority, I hope he gives you all of his hours when he has the chance, and I hope he does and is everything I should’ve when I was your man.”

“Me, too.” She responded, unable to hold back the few tears that rolled down her heated cheeks.

“Goodbye, (Y/N).”

“Goodbye, Stiles.”

The bride fixed Stiles’ bowtie with a never ending smile on her face and when they were both finally ready, the two former lovers walked out of the dressing room and headed towards the temple. Stiles entered the room first and sat right beside Scott, who definitely had a confused look on his face especially since his best friend smelled mostly of sex. But, also of another prominent emotion that made the werewolf’s heart burn as he watched Stiles gaze at the girl he loved so dearly when she happily walked down the aisle: sadness.

“Are you okay?” Scott asked his brother.

The word saudade is not only the definition of an inexplicable longing for someone you lost, but it can also carry a repressed knowledge that the person of longing might never return.

“Yeah, Scott. I really am.”

Stiles Stilinski knew that he would never get her back in his arms. But, he also knew that as long as she was completely happy-

He would find a way to be, too.

Late Nights (Harry Styles)

You smiled softly to yourself as you watched your daughter close her eyes in her crib. It was hard not to watch her as she slept. She was quiet and looked at peace, like all of the things that had happen previously throughout the day didn’t even matter. They slipped away as she slipped into her dream state. And, to you, for some strange reason found that so intriguing. Your baby girl had been a quiet one ever since she was born and it was something both your husband and yourself had learned to truly appreciate it. A non-hassling baby was something of a necessity when it came to your careers.

You reached up to light mounted onto the wall and switched it off with the clasp of your fingers but not before turning on the small moon night light that rested on nightstand. It illuminated the room just enough to the point where she could sleep in content. Harry had gotten it from one of his trips to Italy, mentioning that when he saw it he instantly thought of Everly.

Nodding to yourself and brushing a finger over her cheek you exited the room with silent footsteps and closed the door to a rather large crack.

The overly large abode had now fallen silent. All of the workers were gone and your two German Shepherds were sleeping downstairs in their beds.

You didn’t like it.

Sure having a peaceful and quiet house to come home to after a long day at work was fantastic but their were other reasons behind your distaste. Firstly, the house was so large.

With the positions you and your husband had in your separate industries it made sense to have such a large estate with hallways that went on forever and too many rooms to count, but that didn’t mean you wanted it.

There were times though, when you would step back and look around; It was too much space and the only time it felt full was during the day when everyone was here and awake, bustling about on the French oak wood flooring or the Aurora marble of the kitchen. It made the place feel slightly more alive than its normal ‘soft talking and classical music background’ vibes (Harry was set on only playing it since it was “Important for Everly’s growth and development).

But the second part was that Harry wasn’t here.

He was on a business trip in Greece, meeting with some new possible partners that could only help to expand and endorse his company. He had another two or three days until he would be back in your’s and your daughter’s presence.

It still felt strange though, not physically having him here with you. Maybe it was the postpartum depression you were experiencing since it had only been a few weeks to a month after having little Everly Ryn. Or maybe it was just the fact that you were over protective of your husband and it made you feel 10 times lonelier than you let on. Whatever it was it nearly distracted you from the sound of an incoming Skype call on your laptop downstairs.

Collecting your thoughts you darted down the stairs as silently but as haste as possible. The dogs (Hendrix and Iver) raised their heads at your quick movement, watching as your pink silk gown swiped the rooms. In seconds your eyes focused in on your Mac resting on the kitchen island, screen still open and a loud pinging emitting from it’s speakers.

You carried yourself past the living room and onto the cold floor before standing right in front of the laptop.

Harry’s name popped up the screen waiting patiently for you to finally press the button. A small smile filled your face at the sight of his name. Running a hand through your hair you cleared your throat and pressed the button.

There’s that beautiful face.” Warmth spread over your cheeks.

“Well hello to you too.” You laughed shaking your head at the brunette on the screen. Your eyes raised and you stared at him for a moment, getting a good look at his exterior. His face read as “Drained” seeming a little bit more pale than usual, his green eyes with a grey haze over them and the bags under his eyes were more defined than usual. You furrowed your eyebrows together and went to speak.

“You look tired.” Surprisingly those words didn’t come from your mouth but from Harry’s. His head was turned slightly to the left like he was trying to examine you from a different angel.

“Me?”

“Yeah. Was Evs a hassle?” He asked taking a sip from a coffee cup. You smiled for a second at his nickname for her before quickly shaking your head.

“I mean it took a while for her to finally close her eyes but she’s alright.” You answered truthfully. You didn’t want to give him any reason to worry about anything back here because everything was fine.

“Good..that’s good. Y'know I miss–”

“I was going to say the same thing to you.” Your interjection made him stop mid-sentence his facial expression raising into curiosity once more.

“Say what baby?” He smiled lop-sided, rubbing the sleep out of the corner his eye.

“You look tired Harry. What time is it over there?” Your eyes drifted over to the clock to see it read only 9:25 which was pretty early but he was in Greece.

“Doesn’t matter–”

“Harold.” He flinched at your voice before sighing. You watched through the screen as he stretched from wherever he was sat at to grasp what you assumed what was his phone. He clicked it on and that’s when you heard another sigh.

“4:25.”

“Harry–” You began to drawn on until he stopped you.

“I’m fine Y/N, really. I’ve stayed up much later than this before–”

“Wait you haven’t even gone to sleep yet?” You questioned with wide eyes and furrowed brows. His eyes shut and lips tightened as he probably realized he shouldn’t have mentioned that last part to you. “Babe please get some sleep.” You pleaded. He shook his head and the sound of papers being messily put together sounded between the two of you.

“ ‘ave to finish signing these papers and emailing the other Company. They need certain documents by 12 to help get things up and running so I wanted to get them done now so I didn’t have to worry later–”

“Harry.” His tired moss colored eyes met your pixelated stare, almost looking like a deer caught in headlights. You sucked in a deep breath and took a moment before giving him a soft beam. “I love you.”

It looked like he just melted at your words, his tight shoulders lowering, the worry line in between in his eyebrows disappearing, and his eyes falling and sparking.

“I love you too Y/N.” He grinned. You stayed like that for a while, smiling at each other like you did when you were teenagers. Admiring everything you could physically see at the moment. Harry was still as handsome as you remembered him to be with his pink cheeks and dimples, those eyes you fell head over heals for. Yeah..he was still the Harry you knew and loved.
“Now, tell me how your fashion line is going.” His words interrupted your longing stare but you didn’t mind. You knew he asked because not only did he actually want to know, but because he needed to stay awake.

And yeah those models should be coming in from Spain and Germany next week I believe if Lanny did the scheduling right.” You laughed as you scrolled through the notes on your phone. “This’ll actually be the first time we’ll have any models from Barcelona so I’m pretty excited.”

“ ‘Sounds like it’ll be lots of fun poppet.” Harry chuckled as he signed another document. The both of you had spent this time working, but the chatting seemed to be the best part because it made it feel like neither of you were actually as far away.

“Yeah maybe for my next shoot you could model.” You joked as you texted another employee about details for the sketches on an upcoming fall line.

“With this body? Give me a couple months to get back into shape first, yeah?” You both laughed once more but you shook your head looking up at him.

“Harry you’re only 26,” You giggled, “I think you’ll be fine.”

“ ‘Dunno babe, sitting at a desk 24/7 doesn’t have many health benefits.” He smirked reading another paper.

Just before you were going to turn back to your phone you noticed the brightness starting to illuminate the backboard of Harry’s bed. Glancing at your clock you realized that it was 10:30, which means not only had you talked for two hours, but it was 6 o'clock by Harry.

“Hey….babe?”

“Yes darling?”

“The sun is coming up.” His head shot up, making dead eye contact with you. You pointed behind him with a snicker and watched as he did double take to the window.

“Holy crap.” Both of you broke up in laughter at his shock and slowly he turned back to grin at you.

“Are you going to go to sleep now?” You ask teasingly. He sighs and shakes his head in a heap of chuckles.

“I’ll get a couple hours for your sake.” You cheered silently, extremely happy he finally listened to you. He began to collect the papers surrounding him and piling them into a manila folder. He mumbled a couple things to himself when he glanced over certain papers, separating them from others into a black folder. You watched him from the corner of your eye as you cleaned up your plate of leftovers, placing the dishes in the sink and the containers in the fridge.

You returned to the screen somehow at the same time, both looking equally as tired as the other you assumed. It had been a long day for the both of you.

“Alright, you promise you’re going to sleep?” You inquired with one raised eyebrow. He gave out another soft chuckle but nodded.

“Yes Y/N.” He spoke mocking. You rolled your eyes but flashed his another tired grin.
“Okay…I love you.” You words were quiet but they were too meaningful for him not to hear.

“I love you more baby.” His voice sounded overly sincere. A pang hit your chest..hard. “Tell Evs I love her and that I miss her. Oh give her a kiss for me too.” He beamed.

“I will.” You simpered. He glanced at you once more with a sad “I love you so much I don’t want to hang up” look but you knew it was too late to carry on this conversation.

“I’ll see you soon Y/N.” You nodded to yourself eyes resting on your lap. You hated goodbyes so much, they were awful and gut-wrenching, made your insides twist to the point in which you felt dizzy. It was worse though..having to say goodbye to Harry.

“Hey.” You glanced at him the same smile resonating between his cheeks, “I love you.” A long pause.

“I love you too.”

“Goodnight babe.”

“Goodnight Harry.” With that you hung up and closed your laptop. Your heart felt heavy but you took in a deep breath. Everything was going to be fine, of course, you just needed to relax.

Climbing up the long staircase you took more breaths to yourself. Yes the house felt emptier than usual but you had to remind yourself that Everly was still here to comfort and love. And it would only be a day or so until Harry would be back. Besides it wasn’t like he hadn’t spent longer business trips away from you. During your first year together he once left for a whole month to stay in Japan and that was a test against your relationship.

Luckily this time he had only been gone for two weeks.

You pushed the double doors to your master bedroom open and let out a yawn before stretching your arms above your head. Stripping from the robe and hitting the lights you cross the room to your bed. Pulling the blankets back you crawled beneath the silk sheets and onto the pillows.

Just as you were about to fall asleep a buzzing noise broke you out of the trance. Groaning and reaching to your side you grasp your phone off the bedside table. It was a message.

From Harry.

Stop worrying so hard and go to sleep. I love you ❤️” An overwhelmingly large smile filled your face and you hastily responded to the message.

I love you too. Goodnight 💜

SERIES MASTERLIST

It was exactly two days before your art show and while the preparations at the gallery were nearly completed, you were also beginning to feel anxious. Unable to keep still, you paced around the hall as your mind raced with unsettling thoughts. What if people didn’t enjoy the show? What if your guests didn’t understand the concept? What if your critics thought it was mediocre? You fidgeted and fumbled with the hem of your shirt, causing the thin fabric to fray.

Scott McCall Imagine- Alpha Affliction

“I could have killed you” you heard from across the school. “But you didn’t- not like you could anyway” you scoffed. “For once, could you just admit that you screwed up?” he sighed. “For once, could you just except that you’ve been beaten?” you returned. “Who the hell are you talking to Y/L/N?” coach asked, breaking you out of your werewolf hearing. “Christ, no need to shout” you whined, holding your head due to how loud he sounded. “Language! Don’t make me give you detention on a Monday morning” he yelled, already walking off to go and scold Greenburg, for something petty most likely. You opened your locker door and grabbed your books, you smirked into it after sensing someone familiar. You slammed it shut and the person standing behind it barely waited a second before beginning to grill you. “What on earth were you thinking? I’ll tell you what, you wasn't” he lectured. “Stiles, I’ve literally just gone through this with McCall” you rolled your eyes. “We both know he has a soft spot for you, but I’m telling you, stop messing with his head!” he warned, using unneeded hand gestures. “No one got hurt!” you stated. “But they could have” he issued. “But they didn't” you growled, letting your eyes flicker red for a brief second. There may have been a slight run in with yours and Scott’s pack, that turned a bit sour last night, but it turned out alright in the end. “Someone’s going to get hurt if you carry on the way you are with Scott” he told. “Are you threatening me Stilinski?” you asked, smirking with amusement. “No, but I am warning you, the worst thing you could do is break his heart. You know what happened to him in the past, if you’re looking for a weak spot, pick anything but that” he said, before walking off down the hallway. You stood there for a second and dropped your head, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

But things weren’t always like this. You didn’t ask to be an alpha and by no means did you intentionally kill someone for it. You used to be happy, you belonged to your older sister’s pack- a peaceful pack. When the Darach showered up, she needed to get your pack out of the way,  because your sister was too close to revealing Jennifer Blake for what she was. Most of you died, but you managed to survive. You had to stand and watch as the members of the pack you grew up in, screamed in agony at the wolfs bane, that made its way around their bloodstreams. You knelt beside your sister, it was the only time you had seen her cry. You took as much of her pain as you could, but there was no hope. You closed your eyes and allowed your sobs to be muffled by your hand that covered your mouth. “Please- It hurts” she begged. “I cant” you said, shaking your head as tears fell from your cheeks. “Please” she begged once more. You couldn’t watch her struggle for breath, when she had been so powerful in life. The one person you didn’t want to lose- was now begging for you to end her life. You cradled her motionless body in your arms, feeling the pain she felt. “I’m sorry” you whispered, before taking her life in one brisk movement. You screamed and sobbed for hours afterwards, until the remaining pack members had to pry you off of her body. You hated your red eyes, but hated the blue that hid under them even more. You lost you sister- your best friend that day. But you couldn’t grieve forever, with your remaining strength you held the pack together until it grew in size and power. However, what happened that day changed you. Your personality included, you could tell people missed the old you, in fact you did too but some things are unavoidable in life, and this was one of them.

“I’ll see you later” you said to one of your pack members, before you went your separate ways. You checked the time on your phone, it was half nine and you had only just left school. Long story short, you had been on alpha duty all day, trying to prevent your pack from killing Scott’s. You even had to stay and wait for Lacrosse practice to finish, because of a few of them being on the same team as the others. You put your phone in your back pocket and crossed your arms to try and preserve a little more heat because you had a long walk home and only a thin leather jacket on, wolf heat or not it was absolutely freezing out. You walked for about ten minutes until you let out a loud sigh in frustration. “Are you still not done following me Scott?” you shouted, proceeding to walk. All of a sudden you felt someone next to you. “How did you know?” he asked, in both curiously and embarrassment. You simply glowed your eyes red at him, surely he knew you’d be able to smell his scent and hear his heartbeat, considering you’re a werewolf and all. “Oh right” he mumbled as your eyes faded back to their usual colour. “So are you going to tell me why you’re stalking me?” you asked, tilting your head. “I wouldn’t call it stalking” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m pretty sure that’s what the Sheriffs Department would call it, oh wait it doesn’t actually matter, I’m sure your father in law will let you off with it” you said incredibly sarcastically. “How many times do I have to tell you? Stiles is not my overprotective boyfriend!” he raised his voice, meaning it echoed through the empty streets. You stared at him, trying to keep a straight face after hearing him sound like a seven year old boy. It didn’t last long until you both burst out laughing at the same time. “Woah, has the ice queen melted?” he asked, referring to how he’d only ever seen you scoff and smirk bitchily after becoming an alpha. “Not quite” you said shortly, as both of your laughs came to a stop. “No seriously though, why are you following me?” you questioned, killing the somewhat friendly mood in seconds. “And there she is” he mumbled. You simply raised your eyebrows, waiting for an answer. “Stiles thinks you’re up to something and I came to find out what” he accidently told. “Figures it would be him, he hates me” you whined. “Why would you think that?” he asked, putting his hands in his jacket pockets. You just gave him a blank expression, followed by an eye roll, Stiles made his dislike pretty obvious. “I’m sure if he got to know you more, he’d change his mind” he tried to convince. “I’ve known you all for most of my life; you, Stiles, Lydia and I’ve met you all across the years, Kira, Malia, Liam - Allison” your voice cracked on the final name. “ I mean the new you, you’ve changed and it’s something that needs to be accepted, rather than ignored” he tried to sympathise. “Don’t try to understand Scott, you have no idea what it’s like” you claimed, stopping still. “My first love died in my arms, because I dragged everyone into the supernatural world. I did that, me!” he also stopped and raised his voice, in built up emotion rather than anger. “I had to kill my own sister Scott, it isn’t a competition of who’s life is the shittest!” you matched his volume. “But look at yourself, you’re too busy hating the world for what its done to you, that you didn’t realise, and still don’t realise that all we’ve ever tried to do is help you” he ranted. “I have no one Scott. All I had was her and when she died, she took a part of me, a part I’ll never get back- and no one was truly there for me when I was hurting, I still am hurting.  So forgive me, for not being the optimistic idiot I used to be” you retort. “You pushed us away, we tried to help you but you wouldn’t let us. Look, I’m sorry about your sister and I wished we could of helped you- but you cant carry on like this”  he said, a lot softer. “Carry on like what?” your volume remained loud and aggressive. “You cant carry on being a temperamental physco- like a ticking time-bomb” he regretted saying it, the second he finished speaking. “Watch me” you replied laconically. You proceeded to walk off, before Scott saw the tears that welled up in your eyes.

“I’m going to kill him” you growled, eyes glowing red. “Who?” one of your pack members asked, slightly amused. You weren’t the only one to change that day, your peaceful pack became one of challenge, confrontation and one to be feared. You weren’t psychotic murderers, but by no means were you all innocent. You paced back and forth, In the apartment building that you shared with most of your pack. “Scott McCall” you claimed, through gritted teeth. “Do it” another spoke, biting into an apple. “No one is killing anyone” another stated rationally. “What did he even do?” someone asked. You stopped still for a second and actually thought about it, putting your anger aside. You thought about the past, you remembered everything that had faded from your memory, due to your hatred and hurt clouding your vision. Scott watched one of his closest friends change into a dark and manipulative Alpha. He knew you were just trying to protect and build a pack, but he knew that you were losing yourself along the way. You remember ignoring Stiles’ calls, skipping lunches with Lydia, pretending not to see Allison in the street and you remembered telling Scott that you never wanted to speak to him again. Telling Stiles that you weren’t interested in his dumb plans anymore, telling Lydia that you didn’t care about her pointless guy stories, telling Allison that you needed time for yourself. You did push them away. You were hurting, but you were also hurting them. It was too late to apologise to Allison, to tell her that you needed her, to say goodbye- but it wasn’t too late for the others. “Omg” you mumbled, at your sudden realisation. “What?” one of your member’s asked. “Excuse me” you simply replied, pushing past them and through the front door.

You stretched out your knuckles, as though you were going to knock on the door but then quickly moved your hand away again. You had been pacing back and forth, outside of Scott’s house for about ten minutes. You just didn’t quite know what you were going to say, or why you were even there. You then decided to live by the 5 second life rule, so you quickly knocked on the door and waited nervously for what was next. When you didn’t receive a response, you figured it was late and he may have been asleep or with his Pack. You placed your weight on the door, to focus your hearing on his house, just to check if he was ignoring you. That was when the door swung open and you fell into his house. “Ouch” you mumbled, not expecting it. You looked, expecting to see Scott with a confused expression on his face, when you were met with nothing. Why would Scott, a true alpha leave his door unlocked? You stood up and brushed yourself off, before slowly walking around his house. You figured you might as well wait for him, considering you were already there and all. You reminisced, looking at the house that was once familiar to you. You stood in the doorframe of his kitchen, when you heard a heartbeat approach the front door. They stopped, before hesitantly pushing the door open. You were met by Scott, his eyes glowing red and his fangs retracted. You simply switched the light switch beside you on, and smirked to yourself. “What the hell Y/n?” he asked in surprise, his face returning to normal. “Hey Scotty” you smiled, it was what you used to call him when you were younger. He looked at you hesitantly, not sure if you were plotting your revenge from your altercation earlier. “God Scott, don’t look so on edge” you sighed. He threw his motorbike key on the side of the couch and took his jacket off. “What can I help you with?” he asked, uncertain. “I just wanted to say that I’m sorry” you said reluctantly, but honestly. Scott flashed a non-intentional smile- he was smug. Who would have thought that you would have been the one to back down from your stupid feud. “I accept your apology” he simply returned. “What? Just like that?” you asked, not sure as to what the catch was. “Y/n, I’ve always been here for you and I always will. I was just waiting for you to finally realise that” he spoke softly, taking a step closer to you. You stood up, no longer leaning your weight against the doorframe. “I shouldn’t have treated you all like shit, especially not you” you dropped your head. Scott delicately brought your head back up. “It’s okay to be hurt Y/n, but you need your friends. Lydia, Stiles-” he began to list off. “And you” you finished for him, staring into his kind brown eyes. “Yeah-” he simply whispered, and with that he leant down and pressed his lips to yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him tightly against you. You were now leaning the back on the doorframe, as he deepened the kiss. You were that lost in the moment, that neither of you heard the front door open. “Finally” Lydia accidently praised out loud, immediately covering her mouth afterwards. You and Scott slowly broke away, smiling at one another. You then both proceeded to turn to look at the full living room, both giving a small laugh of embarrassment. “That was hot” Malia approved. You looked at them all awkwardly, it was the first time you had been together with everyone like this. Malia and Kira were smiling, you didn’t know them that well but you knew you would instantly get along with them. As much as you neglected Lydia, she still stood there with pride and a beaming smile at the thought of her two best friends together. Liam looked more awkward than you, but you could already tell that he was sweet and someone you wanted to protect at all costs. You then glanced to the back of them, seeing Stiles with a straight look on his face. Your smile dropped as he approached the two of you slowly. “We’re having our weekly Pack Pizza Party, would you be interested in joining us?” he asked excitedly, with a genuine smile on his face. You relaxed and returned it, pulling him into a long awaited hug. “Ill take that as a yes” he laughed brightly, issuing to Lydia who was about to call and order them. She didn’t even have to ask for your order, it was as if you had never left them. Your friends then continued to start setting up the movie, drinks, blankets and snacks for you all. You walked over to Scott, with a sweet smile formed on your lips. He put his arm around your shoulder and pulled you close to him. “I missed this” you breathed. “We missed you” he replied, kissing you on your forehead. Although some of the members had changed, the friendship and love that kept you all together was still the same. You wanted to protect your pack, but it was time to put yourself first for once too. No more fighting, no more rivalry. It was time to focus on the new chapter in your life, which had a much brighter outcome.
