A/n: So! This is the first installment of my series, and like I said this will have three parts. Plus this took me centuries so the next part will probably be out this weekend or following week.

Also I changed my original idea/structure for this but I hope you like it regardless.

Newt looked down at the ticket he held in his hand, gazing up every now and then, trying to find the platform for his train. He was in the midst of his escapade around the world in search of his magical creatures. Now leaving Budapest, he was headed on his way to Austria. Noticing all the other wizards trying to find their way as well around the crowded station.

Finding his correct platform, he instantly hopped onto the train gazing around until he found a car that wasn’t entirely full.

Hurrying to the back of the car, he noticed a few couples sitting silently as they waited for the train to leave, and a few single travelers as well.

Trying not to bring anymore attention to himself, Newt quietly sat down in his seat and opened his journal, making sure to keep his head down.

The cart remained just as quiet whenever they finally left the station, most of the people he was with were much older save a few that sat more towards the front.

In fact, he first thought it was going to a less interesting train ride until the car door opened again, and someone else stepped inside.

Newt’s eyes glanced upward and he saw you standing at the door, you had placed your ticket in your mouth, seemingly because both of your hands held a small suitcases each.

It took himself a few minutes to realize he had been staring at you before he quickly turned back to his writing, all though he kept looking upward to see where you would be sitting.

He was rather disappointed whenever you had choosen a seat closer to the front, but decided it might have spared him the embarrassment, he turned back back to his work.

For the next hour or so, you could have heard a pin drop upon the floor save for the sound of the wheels against the track, but majority of the passengers were either asleep or had brought something occupy their attentions.

It was actually rather peaceful until a middle aged couple started talking fairly loudly in what sounded like German.

At first, it was ignorable. But then they’re small talk turned into loud bickering over something Newt really couldn’t understand.

But it must have gotten worse since Newt saw you stand up from your seat, pick up your belongings from the top compartment and move to a vacant seat away from them.

Fortunately, that seat ended up being the one right across from Newt.

The two of your gazes met breifly before you settled in your seat, curling towards the window and returning to the book you had been reading.

Now that you were in better seeing view, Newt couldn’t help but glance over at you a few times.

You were very pretty in his opinion, and part of him was curious as to what you were doing on a train headed for another country by yourself.

And at first he debated asking you, placing his pen off to the side and looking over at you, but then he saw you looked very interested in your book.

So, awkwardly he messed with his scarf before ultimately decided to leave you alone.

He was pulled from his thoughts as the lady who was shouting, stormed ou of the car with her husband following close behind her.

Again, Newt’s gaze met yours and he could see the small laugh you were trying to conceal.

He leaned over towards you. “Do you have any idea what they were arguing about it?”

You looked over to him, and at first he thought you didn’t speak english either, but then a smile came to your face. “Afraid not, my german isn’t really the best.”

Newt took the opportunity to hold his hand out to you. “I’m Newt Scamander, by the way.”

“(Y/n) (L/n), it’s very nice to meet you.” You said, shaking his hand. “I must say you seem like the only interesting person on this ride.”

Newt looked up at the other passengers, noticing they didn’t even seem fazed by the current outburst, many of them still fast asleep.

“I think you might be right.” He answered with a smile, happy to be having a conversation with you. “So, what are you reading?”

You held up the cover for him. It was a dark blue book with white lettering that read the title Song of Soloman.

“What about you?” You asked, referring to the leather book on his lap.

“Oh no, this is just my research.” He said, seeing the curious look on your face. “It’s for a textbook I’m writing.”

Your eyes widened slightly. “Really? What kind of research are you doing?”

“Well, I’m sort of studying various magical creatures and then writing down all of their habits and ways you can look after them.” Newt explained, handing the journal over to you.

You took it gently, opening it and flipping through the pages. “What’s a Murtlap?” You asked him, still looking at the page.

“It’s a sort of small pink creature that resembles a rat even though it’s a marine creature.” He said, pointing to the illustration. “Though they do have several uses, some parts can be pickled and eaten to help improve your resistance to jinxes.”

Newt caught himself lecturing, and almost reluctantly waited for your laughter or expected to look up and see an annoyed expression. But he was met with quite the opposite, you were listening to him intently all the while smiling brightly.

“What else do you know about them?” You asked him, turning in your seat to face him.

The question caught him off guard, but he fiddled with the end of his scarf and answered. “D-Did you know that Murtlap Essence is an old household remedy for cuts and abrasions?”

“No, I didn’t.” You told him, your smiling broadening into a grin.

For the remainder of the train ride, the two of you chatted as if you’d known each other for years. He asked you about your travels and what you planned to do once you reached Vienna.

And in return, you asked him more questions about his magizoology studies and his extensive journey across the world.

The two of you had moved from the very corners of your window seats to leaning out onto the isles so you could talk to each other better.

It felt far too soon for Newt whenever the train finally arrived at it’s destination.

But he saw you, along with several of the other passengers rising to get their belongings, a few of the ones who were still tired simply bringing their bags to them with a simple spell.

Newt had collected all of this things, and was waiting with you for some of the others to leave.

He looked over and saw you had adorned a hat and coat, preparing yourself for the chilly air.

Newt even tied his scarf tighter around once you both stepped off the train, suddenly being hit by the cold wind.

Almost instantaneously, you both turned to each other.

“Would you like-”

“I was wondering if-”

You and him cut each other off, laughing slightly whenever you realized.

“You go ahead.” You said, looking up at him with a warm smile.

Newt’s grip on his case handle tightened as he tried to maintain his nerves. “I was wondering if you’d like to get a coffee together? It’s just that I immensely enjoy your company and would like to continue our conversation.”

“Funny, I was going to ask you something similar.” You told him as you nodded. “But yes, I would like that very much.”

So you worked out a place to meet up once you had settled into your hotels. And about an hour later you ended up right back where you started.

“I must admit, this is the first time I’ve ever asked a total stranger out for coffee.” Newt said, looking up at the tall buildings as the two of you started walking.

“It’s the same for me, truth be told I would’ve rejected your offer had I not enjoyed your company so much.” You confessed, taking your share of marveling at the architecture.

Newt ignored the small leap in his heart at you mentioning you enjoyed his company, you would’ve been the first in a very long time.

“I was rather surprised I was able to ask you, I’m not usually the most foward person when it comes to things like this.” Newt said, stuffing his hands into his pockets as they were starting to nip from the cold.

“You do sort of give off the more reserved vibe.” You told him, stiffling a laugh at the look that fell upon his face.

“Do I really?”

“That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something I noticed about you.” You explained. “Speaking of which, I hope you have that case somewhere safe.” You said, noticing the infamous cases’ absence.

“Oh yes, don’t worry. I made sure it was closed and hidden safely under my bed before leaving.” Newt assured you, having explained the purpose of his case on the trainride.

“Well, thank goodness for that.” You said with a smile, although somewhat unsure of that security.

It was still early morning whenever your train had arrived in Vienna, so the two of you had the whole day to become more acquainted with one another.

There wasn’t much of a need for any local assistance, since you explained to Newt that you had been to Vienna several times before.

“I don’t know if you’re into classical music such as I am, but Mozart’s home whenever he lived here is close by.” You informed him, nodding your head in it’s direction.

“I actually am a fan of classical music, it’s one of my creatures favorite to listen to.” Newt said, heart swelling at the smile this information caused to form on your face.

“Well then your creatures must have excellent taste in music.” You told him, placing your hand on his wrist and leading him into the house’s direction.

What was originally a supposed to be a small chat over coffee turned into you giving Newt a full tour of all the wonderful placew you had found on your previous travels.

Not that he was complaining by any means, he would’ve much rather gotten familiar with the city with you than with some stranger who probably wouldn’t even know what he was saying in the first place. Plus this had extended your original meeting, and Newt found himself thoroughly enjoying your company.

And no worries, the two of you did eventually get that coffee.

You taken him to a very cozy looking coffee shop that was surrounded by other tourists, so thankful one of the workers there spoke english.

“I feel as if I’m being shown around by a local.” Newt told you as he waited for his coffee to chill. “You seem like you know this city very well.”

You smiled, stirring the milk into your coffee. “This is one of my favorite places, the more I come here for holidays the more it feels like a second home.”

Newt nodded, finally drinking from his cup. “I understand what you mean, there were several places I’ve been to that I often find myself thinking back to.”

You smiled at his understanding. “Then I hope you get to go back to those places as well.” You said, holding up your coffee cup.

Newt returned your soft smile, gently clinking the edge of his cup against yours, not wanting any to spill onto the over table.

When that was over, Newt still insisted that you show him to all of your other favorite places. And you happily complied, showing off the architecture of the cathedrals and the canals that flowed through the whol city.

At some point, Newt’s arm had found it’s way around yours, but the two of you must not have noticed or choose not to comment because that’s the way the two of you remained as you took your stroll.

It must have been the company you were in, because neither one of you noticed it had gotten dark out until the whole city was now basked in twinkling lights and buildings had lights in every room.

But your adventure didn’t end there, the both of you and several other groups of people carried on with your walks, chatting away about what ever you wanted.

Being so wrapped up in the company he was with, and the overall majesty of the city, Newt had even realized you spent the whole night talking and sightseeing until the sky was starting to brighten, and the sun just beginning to rise.

You must have noticed as well, because your arm unwound itself from his and you turned to look at him. “I am so sorry, I had no idea I had kept you the whole night.”

Newt smiled and shook his head. “No, I really hadn’t noticed either. Your company must have distracted me enough.” And it was true, for the whole night he hadn’t felt drowsy or gotten bored of your company.

“I should really let you get back, I’ve kept you long enough.” You said once the two of you arrived outside you hotel, stilling trying to fathom how the both of you lost such track of time.

“Really though.” Newt said, taking your hand in his. “I have immensely enjoyed your company, so don’t feel to bad.”

His words were a great comfort to you, and you looked up at him and smiled. “Well then, good morning Mr. Scamander.”

Newt laughed. “And good morning to you as well.” He said, dropping your hand and nodding his head. “I suppose this is our goodbye?”

“It would appear so.”

Newt nodded again. “It’s been a pleasure.” He said watching you smile and nod before he turned to head his own way.

Newt traveled about a yard before he turned back and ran towards you again, your noses bumping together whenever he slowed himself down.

“Sorry, just wanted to know if you’d like to see each other again?”

You laughed at his antics, but nodded your head. “I’d like that very much.”

Newt let out a relieved breath and smiled as he looked down at you, leaning down so his lips could graze your cheek before he took off for his hotel again.

At this point, Mark and Jaebum are already downing the rest of the soju and beers that you guys had left behind while waiting for Jinyoung to come back.  They cannot make you stop talking about their younger members and your sexual desires towards them, making them more awkward by the second, hoping that you just finish rambling and mumbling so that they can put you to bed and they can all either go home or sleep on your guest room or living room.

“_____, let’s tak-“

Not math, but something I want to share something. This text exchange

makes me so happy, because:

1. We miss each other after 3 days, which is SERIOUSLY not normal behavior for two double black-belt hermits.

2. Pharmacy date to pick up our prescriptions, because we are both individually too anxious to feel comfortable going alone…to get the respective medicines that helps us each be less anxious.

3. Inside jokes re. that raw spot in my Chick-Fil-A sandwich that almost made me barf and has now rendered me incapable of eating things not prepared by me.

4. This exchange both acknowledges thorough awareness of certain traits that make us each ‘difficult’ people, and expresses common ground with respect to these traits and an implicit belief that the other is excellent exactly as they are.

I want to share this because it took me a quarter of a century to find friendship that required no hard-fought ‘acceptance’ from the other person of my personality, no patience with my frustrating traits, but rather a sincere appreciation of who I am, as I am.

If you feel alone or you have trouble making friends, please don’t lose hope. The world is a big, complex place. Just because you are rare bird does not mean you are the only member of your species. <3

My Lady

It took me one day to pass from Valladolid to Cavia and I decided to stay there only because I knew it would not be dangerous to do so; I informed the inhabitants of the city (city of Burgos) about the arrival, upon which the Bishop of Burgos escaped altogether with others who are not much at our service. The inhabitants of the city sent message to me, begging that I would not enter (into the city) until after the meal and I did it this way. Keeping in mind they had little time, the reception they gave me was marvelous and so many people, and with such great love, that it is not earthly thing, the love they have for us, but the thing of God. I must tell Your Ladyship that I never saw thing that I would like more than this city, nor more honourable. I saw Las Huelgas and La Iglesia Mayor which are miraculous. Tomorrow I will go to kiss the hands of King Don Juan for Your Ladyship and for myself*, and for the love of friar Alonso, I will go to see San Pablo. In two days I will depart and soon I will arrive into Valladolid. […] for what is in the letters that I got, I kiss the hands of Your Ladyship. Because I am tired, I don’t respond except to what Your Ladyship tells me about how it was necessary for us to see each other, if it had not been for this city, I would already go but the hurry was such that the Cardinal and Constable gave me, that I had to do this. To me it seems that it is very necessary and that Your Ladyship ought to come, because in getting together we help each other more than anything in life, and now is the time that all our power should be jointly exerted. Tired, I finish, kissing the hands of Your Ladyship.

Your servant: The King.

Shoutout to all those students whose name(s) teachers will get wrong for like the first three weeks of class. I’m sorry your name is pronounced more than one way or it’s unclear in origin and therefore pronunciation. I’m also sorry that you have to correct your teacher.

Shoutout to all us teachers who won’t get a pronunciation guide with our (probably inaccurate) rosters. We’re trying.

“Commander” a man greets covered in mud and paint, animal fur, ripped clothing, and protective gear. His skin is dark and his hair is jet black, he as a tattoo on the side of his face, and a buff build. He carries two machetes on his back, and three throwing knives on his belt.

“State your business” My tone is stern. The man takes a step forward and both my guards cross their spears in front of me, a clear signal he’s close enough. “I was hunting in the forest when I got close to the enemy’s camp…” His voice trails off, his eyes coming up the meet mine. “Spit it out” I command, eyes hardening.

“They have guns…” His voice wavers but he continues. “A lot of them… And a lot of ammunition.” Both of my guards exchanged worried looks, and I sigh, squaring my shoulders.

“This wouldn’t be the first time our enemy had weapons. But yet here we are, still alive. We are stronger than them.” Standing, I look at my guards and they lower their weapons.

Placing my hand on the man’s shoulder, I give him a small nod. “Go to your family, spend as much time with them as possible. We strike their camp in 48 hours at first light” Walking past the man, I pull on my leather coat, dipping my fingers in the black paint.

“Commander where are you going?!” My female guard yells. Taking my fingers, I run them around my eyes, concealing my white skin under it. “To scout out their camp.”

Enchanté, mon chaton!

Ugh, it took me centuries to finally reveal my breathtaking Catrine to you! Especially taking those pictures and editing them was so time-consuming. >.>

I bought her nude from the amazing TeaLeafsCreations and put a cute outfit together. I decided to go for a quiet Japanese look that fits the style of her repaint. The adorable kimono dress was a custom order from japonsakura, her tights are made by thedaughterwhosews and I repainted a pair of Operetta’s Roller Maze shoes, as well. Thus both traditional and modern Japanese fashion inspired Catrine’s wardrobe.
In a final step, I created a floral headband for her, painted and partially trimmed tiny plastic mice and added them to the purple paper roses. ~♥
