“I’ve heard some rumors from some heartbroken students that you’re currently in a relationship, Elric. Care to inform me?”

“Oh ha ha, wonder where they got that idea, with you following me home everyday. You’re grading your own papers tonight, bastard.”

Have I told you that I love College Professor AUs?

shockingly, there is nothing hypocritical about being firmly against real-life injustices while enjoying depictions of them in fiction

Kinda wonder whether what Mary wants is hunting or family, because don’t get me wrong I’m all for both, both is good, and it can work for Sam and Dean and hopefully Cas but I don’t think it’s what Mary actually wants..
I mean, I’ve been buying the ‘kill all the monsters to give sons a normal life’ thing but now I think.. if she really wanted family, she wouldn’t have had the urge to hunt when Dean was a kid and all? Maybe she’s really kidding herself? Or is this also still the messed up cupid/resurrection thing affecting her?

I also wonder if John would’ve been able to/wanted to stop after Azazel’s death if he’d still been alive back then..

What I’d also like them do with this character story is the boys not ‘because mom’-ing everything about her, because that way they can never develop an honest relationship with her. I’d like them to temporarily(!) break with her so she can earn her place in the family by herself and not based on expectations.

Cast thy nighted color off- or, that classic soulmate au

My take on that classic “the first words your soulmate says are tattooed on your body” au

Jacob had visited the loop twice already, but he had yet to meet the ever-elusive Enoch. He had heard plenty, certainly- that Enoch was cantankerous, cruel, and that Jacob was better off not meeting him. Their assertions didn’t ward Jacob away. No, he wanted to solve the mystery of this Enoch even more.

I totally get you on the Juvia issue. I mean, I would say that since Mashima doesn't think it's wrong, none of his characters do either, like some authors--but Mashima seems completely aware that what Juvia does and how she acts is unacceptable and creepy, because of how he writes Gray's reactions. So it really does seem like nobody feels like giving Gray ANY support with Juvia unless it involves shoving him into her arms.

Gruvia is one of the weirdest ships I’ve seen in awhile, and the fact that Mashima seems completely aware of what he’s doing is just the tip of the iceberg. Mashima sometimes plays Gruvia completely straight - Juvia can easily be read as deranged, and some of the expressions Mashima draws on her are pure nightmare fuel. If Juvia does something particularly creepy, Gray will react accordingly; it’s just the rest of the cast that doesn’t. Since Juvia’s proven she doesn’t care much for Gray’s opinion unless it suits her, she won’t listen to him, and since the people around her tend to act like a Gruvia endgame is a given (and some, like Erza, encourage her), she believes she’s genuinely in the right - as proven by how smug she can be even when explaning how Gray rejected her. (Case and point; Juvia’s attempts to sleep with Gray, and when Gray explained to Macao that Juvia had moved in and refused to leave).

Mashima even seems to lowkey mock the ship - chapter 499′s cover page described Juvia’s thought process in regards to Gray as incoherent babble, and that was the arc’s Big Gruvia Moment. In addition, until recently he stubbornly refused to let the ship progress - most meaningful moments are usually cancelled out by Juvia doing something weird and creeping Gray out later. To this day I still wonder if the Gruvion love triangle wasn’t Mashima’s attempt at lampooning the dynamic he’d managed to create.

Of course, every time I think Mashima’s aware of what he’s doing I remember the stunning lack of self awareness he shows when he does the same damn thing with Natsu, whose actions are glorified by cast and mangaka alike.

The workings of Mashima’s mind are a goddamn enigma.

Today’s Goo Morning Post (5/1/17):

Are you often questioned for being too quiet? Do people ask you “what’s wrong?” when you are perfectly alright? You may sometimes feel guilty for not being as outgoing as others, or maybe others complain about your quiet nature or tendency to do more solitary activities. But there is nothing wrong with you, and it is perfectly healthy to be a little more introverted than others. Everyone is different and that should be respected. Your expectation shouldn’t be to have to constantly accommodate others. Remind yourself that your feelings and personal time is important, too. Even if you choose to spend that time with just yourself.

I really need some type of evidence of some of the things y'all are accusing the balloon squad actors of because as a brown person I’m sorry but it’s my first instinct to jump to their defense when they’re being smeared on here. I don’t want to defend them if they’re actually being problematic, but I’ve also seen this fandom villainize those boys from the moment we knew they were gonna be on the show and so I really struggle with believing any of the shit y'all claim they do in videos when y'all can find private ass photos of tarjei at school but you can’t come up with any receipts for simo and adam’s alleged racism and homophobia.

human by dodie clark is about dan and phil, pass it on

I am always so in awe of the outspoken people that I follow. How in the fuck. Teach me.

Realistically, when people fall in love it usually isn't a first-sight kind of thing, I actually enjoy the slow progression that romance can be portrayed as. I'm sorry that you don't like Yatori but just because you don't like something doesn't mean that it's wrong.

*rubs hands together*

Alright, I’ve been preparing myself for a rebuttal to Yat*ori shippers for a long time now. I’ll tell you why the ship is wrong and literally the worst thing ever and why my opinion is actually informed and not stemming from bias. I’ll keep it under the cut because I’m a decent human being and it also contains spoilers to some of the manga.

Dear people, the amount of followers you have on social media doesn’t say anything about your value. It doesn’t say how nice or important you are. Having less followers than someone else doesn’t mean you are less. It doesn’t mean that the person wtih more followers is better or a better person. Not even more important. It simply says nothing about you as a person.

Awful people can have many followers and some of the best persons out there are gems cherished only by few. Controversy is often the fastest way to garner attention, but attention is not the same as love.

Don’t let anyone tell you that your value as a person is linked in any way to any kind of fake popularity on social media. It’s not true and only the most superficial people will try to make that point.
