I am a white cis straight person. But that doesn't mean I'm racist, homophobic, or transphobic. The color of your skin does not make you a better or a worse person. And it certainly does not change who you are. I don't give a damn about what sexuality/gender you are. Why? Because it's your sexuality/gender. You could be straight, gay, lesbian, bi, pan, aromatic, etc or maybe cis, trans, genderfluid, nonbinary. It doesn't change what I think of you because you're you. Not all of us are assholes.
everybody grew up in society; everybody has had societal norms (including racism, homophobia, and transphobia) hammered into their brains, including people of colour, non-straight people, and trans people. i am just less wary of these minorities because they have the experience to recognise these thoughts in their head and prevent them from coming out into the things that they say.
can y’all stop barraging me with asks saying “HEY FUCK YOU FOR BEING AFRAID OF YOUR OPPRESSORS” because i’m literally saying i’m afraid of the way y’all will treat me because of a wide trend of how most people act…
