Looking northeast from above a han by //sarah Via Flickr: Taken from above Büyük Valide Han, in Eminönü, looking northeast. The view includes part of the Fatih district on the closer side of the water, with the notableYeni Cami within it. Galata Bridge spans the water and the Karaköy neighborhood of Beyoğlu is right on the other side.
Up the hill and off the shot to the left is more of Beyoğlu, including the Galata Tower, İstiklal Caddesi, and Taksim. To the right along the water, Beyoğlu turns into Beşiktaş. Way in the distance you can see the Bosphorus Bridge. I lived in a neighborhood named Ortaköy that was nestled by the end of the Beşiktaş side of the bridge.
