Bagay Lakay: bel lammmm!!! Breadfruit come in two types: the normal or “wild” type containing seeds and little pulp, and the more widely grown “cultivated” or seedless variety. In some areas only the seedless type is grown, in others, particularly Haiti, the seeded is more common. Seeds are boiled or roasted; they are high in protein and low in fat. Seedless breadfruit have light yellow flesh with the starchy consistency of unripe potatoes that makes it seem more like a vegetable. One tree can produce 200 fruit per year. #breadfruit #islandfood #islandcooking #islandfruit #caribbeanfood #lamveritab #haiti #haitian #haitianculture #haitianfood
