isla paraiso

Fort Carlos was completed approximately during the Spanish War of Succession that took place after the death of its namesake king in 1700. The fort defended against invaders and pirates as well as quashed native revolts and rebellions. It guarded San Simeon, its Parian, and the nearby village of Mebacauan, a mosquito-infested cluster of huts inhabited by natives.

This was adapted from one of the lots that came with @potato-ballad-sims‘ late 18th century conversion of Isla Paraiso. The sides even look authentic!

I redid the entryway to make it less brightly colored and to provide aesthetic continuity with the gate at the front of the port.
