The 486-ha site in Kepong located 16 km northwest of Kuala Lumpur, is surrounded by the Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve.
Notes: - RM6 entrance fee - try to arrive b4 9.30am on weekends and public holidays, or u’ll run out of parking space. - a great place to unwind … i smell like waterfall and fresh for hours after i reached home :)
Notes: - first one to climb up … far too many cobwebs :) - the flag markers have been (purposely?) removed … replaced with numbers painted on the rocks which is not easily noticed in the dark. I only saw 4,6 and 7 … must have gone ‘sesat’ for a while b4 going on the right path. This 'killer’ hike has become more dangerous
stayed close to a family of devotees for abt an hour from sunrise. There were a lot of things that I didn’t understand about the rituals and protocols, and the family was kind enough to give me pointers, when/what to shoot and not to do. Being polite, respectful and having conversations with your _subjects_ is a good thing … in this case, the reward was access to certain rituals that allowed me to document/shoot comfortably. Nice!
