WHy has it been so long since you’ve been on Tumblr?
I was going through a serious bout of depression and sitting on the internet for hours wasn’t helping me get better. Instead I’m working on being more physically active (baseball, working out) and just being emotionally happy and healthy in general.
They were really annoying. Personally, I get really OCD about numbers like that, and would always click on the tags I was following to keep them down at 0, and (God forbid) off of “20+”. I have the same problem with Facebook game invites. It’s awful.
Yeah but like now I have no idea when the tags have updated and that’s kind of annoying too :T
…Why “Pants”? Also, if you were to give me a nickname, what would it be?
For starters, I wouldn’t give you one because I don’t like you.*
*The above statement is intended ironically and as a joke.
I don’t know why, really. I just remember watchingWar Horsewith my sister in which someone’s pants fit them particularly well, and in my head I went, “Hello, Pants." It just sounded so right. It’s the kind of nickname you give someone, then with nonchalant confidence yell from across the room, "Hey, Pants! We need you over here! Put some pep in that step!" Those are the best kind of nicknames.
I’m not sure what I’d nickname you, really. Cynthia and Sarah always had so many for you, I never had to think of one. I’ll work on it.
Dear one, people like you and I are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to socially awkward. We’re not remarkably good with people, but we generally recognize this and attempt to compensate in some way. Like not saying everything that comes into our head.
But there are some who think they’re great with people. When they’re really not. There are some who, more than simply failing to fully comprehend the rules of social interaction, seem to make up their own as they go along and expect that everyone else is also operating under them.
Trust me, if these people make me notice that they’re awkward, it’s an extreme case. You are not one of these people.
