God delights in you. You are precious to Him! You are honoured in His sight and He loves you. In Isaiah 43:4 He prophesied, “Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you: and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned. (Isaiah 43:1-2). Isaiah wasn’t talking about a literal flood or fire. These are all satan’s attempts to destroy and overwhelm God’s people. The people were in captivity because of their own stupidity and foolishness. But God sent them a prophet who said, “God wants me to tell you that you belong to Him.” Right now, you may be in the midst of fire that threatens to consume you. You’ve got to understand from these biblical examples that the Lord does not always put out the fires. Yet He does promise this: “I will walk with you through it all. This trial or circumstance will not destroy you. It won’t consume you. So, walk on. You’ll come out on the other side fine as gold, with Me beside you!”
You have granted me
self-knowledge and I thank you for that. In opening my eyes to the orientation
and/or gender you have given me, there is a new door in front of me now: I ask
that you aid me in accepting myself, trusting that you have designed me in this
way for a purpose.
Remind me when I fall prey to
self-doubt and self-hate that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by the same
God who crafted the stars. Just as you fashioned the universe, you knit me
together in the womb with caring hands. Remind me that you are that same God,
the God who chose me to be yours before the foundation of the world, who
destined me for adoption and to become a co-heir in your Kingdom with Christ my
Savior. I know that this promise is for everyone who accepts your love, no
matter who they love or how you made them.
Send your Spirit to embrace me
when I am afraid and steady me when my soul trembles. When others would
criticize my acceptance and attempt to bring me low, recall to me your words to
your people of Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed
you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters
I will be with you…and the flames shall not consume you…because you are precious
in my eyes and honored, and I love you.”
Grant me the courage to love
every part of myself as fiercely as you do in the face of derision and
disbelief. Plant seeds of faith within me so that I might bear good fruit as
evidence of your abounding grace and steadfast love.
I have called you by your name;
You are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
And through the rivers,
They shall not overwhelm you.
When you walk through the fire,
You shall not be burned.
For I am the Lord,
You are precious in my eyes
Galatians 6:4 “Let everyone be sure that he is doing his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work well done, and won’t need to compare himself with someone else.” You are unique! And God is shaping you for a purpose like no one else’s. His plans for your life is unique. No one else can do what you can do. Therefore, you need to stop comparing yourself with others and do your very best at what God has called you to do. You may feel worthless by the way others treat you. But God is saying to you, “You are precious in my eyes, and I love you” (Isaiah 43:4) The Lord will fulfill His purpose for you!“ (Psalm 138:8)
1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned ; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour : I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable , and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
