What Anti-Otayur don't get that 1: Otabek is 18-19 is from Kazakhstan and in said country only if a person younger than 16 is it illegal and the Kubo's latest character sheet has aged Yurio as 16. 2: is only considered statutory rape in Russia if someone 18+ has sex with someone younger than 16. So in both nations, the only irl issue with the relationship would that it's homosexual because of how those nations view homosexuals

According to canon, Yuri is 16 years old since March 1st 2017, and Otabek is 18 years old until October 31st 2017, when he will be 19. All YOI characters are aging, just like real life people do. You can see the age they have at the anime and their actual age at the wiki

By example, Viktor’s birthday happened during the anime (his birthday is December 25th, and they talk about that at chapter 10), so he started having 27, now he has 28, and he will have 29 in December 25th 2017. And that’s canon, no some weird data I’m making up. “But the anime said Otabek is 19!!!”. Typo, kiddo. Otabek is 18. Accept the frigging truth.

Even the homophobia thing is not a problem because Kubo said homophobia doesn’t exist at YOI universe. So congratulations to ourselves, Otayuri is legal and not even a sin 👏👏👏

Let’s bite each others gloves in celebration!

In relation to that other anon about looking bigger in a mirror etc. I swear I look 10kg heavier in photos, but in my mirror I look more lean & it used to get me down, but really, it's just a photo, not real life. So much energy can be wasted on feeling down about it & trying to control food just to look slimmer in the mirror/in a photo, but what matters more than any of that is mental health/clarity/daily productivity/attitude. Keep on carbing up, getting it done & focusing on inner game! 🦋

Self obsession leads to depression.

To compare leads to despair.

Self love is the best glove.

OMG DRUNK CHABBY TEASING JULES!!! Like the insta comments just ... real life. He'll be like "hey Jules theres your boy" and Jules just rolls his eyes and forced him to drink some water

Ok but for real Jules is probably gonna also be drunk and Chabby will tease him about Luc and Julien will just wolf whistle at Luc and make some sort of crude gesture at him (probably the universal signal for a blowjob bc they’re a bunch of like 19-20 year old dudes). And Chabby thinks it’s so funny. Bc a group of boys that age just egg each other on. Luc says something rude but he also sits in Julien’s lap and puts an arm around his neck

Is there already meta on Doc’s big-ass ring? That he wears on his left ring finger? I feel like Doc’s ring is important and we’re going to find out how eventually. The first time we see his hand climbing out of the well, the camera zoomed in on it. Unless that’s just a real-life Doc Holliday Easter egg? But I want to know where he got it and why. It’s huge.

Hey! I have a lot of trouble with drawing eyes :( i struggle with size and shape especially... any tips?

Oh heck, hello haha um honestly I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I’ll try to answer as best I can!

I like to take pictures of my face and practice from my own eyes. here’s one and Here’s another one (this one’s a few years back heck)

those ones i just traced a base line over the pictures and then eyeballed the coloring. That’s really useful for getting shapes and angles down when the head is turned. good for drawing the same eye with different expressions and things.

I’m actually doing one right now for some new practice. this one I didn’t do a base sketch at all, I just started SLAPPIN’ color on there. I’ll post progress pictures once I finish it.

ALTHOUGH IF YOU DO THIS, I WOULD RECOMMEND SWITCHING IT UP A BIT AND USING OTHER PEOPLE EYES TOO. because I have a slight difficulty drawing girls with different eye shapes than my own haha oops

I would also recommend paying attention to lid shape, eyelash length, and the angle of the eyes as well as the basic shape. just little details that will set them apart from other eyes.

learning from real life is always super great

here’s my eyes, compared to my sisters. just showing how related people have similar but different eyes

sometimes starting with a circle helps

the same shaped eye with different lids

size differences

for coloring: Eyelids make shadows. eyelashes make shadows. light shows through the iris, depending on the angle.

hope that helped you a bit. mostly just learn from real life for coloring and shape and everything. and then apply it to your style. sorry if this wasn’t that helpful or anything. I’ve been a bit scatterbrained lately as well as busy. I hope i wrote everything i wanted to D:

A Stupid Way to come up with Original Characters and Stories (That Somehow Works)
  • Find a character from a work you admire. Any media will do, but Children’s media works the best.
  • Ask yourself a few questions about the character in question. I don’t have a complete list, and the questions are likely going to vary, and most of this is coming off the top of my head, but yeah, here are a few suggestions.
    • Was there anything about this character that ticked you off? Maybe this character did something that you thought was ooc? Or maybe this character is too perfect and could use a few more flaws.
    • Does the medium or genre prevent the character from performing certain actions? Furthermore, do certain aspects of the characters life, including sex, gender, social status, and age prevent this character from acting in a certain way?
    • Is there something you want to see the character do that you know will never happen in the show?
    • And finally, is there anything you want to change about this character?
  • Rant to yourself or to tumblr about everything the show apparently did wrong. Constantly switch between getting mad at yourself for nitpicking a show you love and being mad at the work itself for not being 100% perfect.
  • Scream into a pillow, make yourself some hot cocoa, eat a full dinner, and then take a hot shower.
  • Get out a sketchpad or a word document or anything else you use to brainstorm and start drawing and or writing about the character in the show. But write the character the way you think they should be, as opposed to the way their presented in canon.
    • Take into account that changing some aspects of your character will effect the story in some pretty big ways, especially if what you changed is an action the character performed. Maybe that Magical Princess ran away at a young age under the stress of becoming queen before joining a gang and ultimately becoming a crime boss? Maybe that Alien supervillain can be reformed by showing them the good things about the planet Earth. When you change an aspect of a story, justify the change by having it affect every other aspect of the story. Whatever you do, though, don’t handwave the change. Instead embrace it… those changes are where the heart of your story lies.
    • Don’t be afraid to add in elements from other works of fiction other than the one you’ve chosen. Most of the plot elements of Gravity falls and Rick and Morty, for example, are just similar enough to make a meeting between Ford Pines and Rick Sanchez possible.
  • Look over your work and note just how far you’ve drifted from canon. If you’ve changed the idea enough, it should feel kinda alien to the original work. If it’s too similar, then if might be a good idea to repeat the previous steps.
    • Some of the things to note include tone, genre, level of obscenity, and target demographic. Considering how fanworks typically go, we almost unconsciously make dark shows light and fluffy and light and fluffy shows dark and gritty. This can be a good thing when done right.
    • The humour of the work will also depends on the type of humour you feel comfortable writing. Sometimes your humour will be almost exactly like the original work, and sometimes it’ll be drastically different. Aim for the latter.
    • If you added in elements from another work of fiction, then certain patterns are inevitably going to be formed. using the Rick and Morty/ Gravity Falls fandom above, one can’t help but make Ford and Rick foils of each other; two interdimensional science dorks, but one has a stronger sense of morality. The character reactions between the two of them is dripping with potential that we’ll never see in canon, because these two shows air on different networks and are aimed at different target demographics.
  • If necessary, repeat the process again, but this time apply this to your version of the character. Continue until your happy with what you have.
  • Finally, rename the characters, and if you’re an artist, re-draw them as well. The new names and designs should reflect the character you wrote, not the character you were inspired by.
  • And bam, you just made something original.

Now obviously, this isn’t the only way to make characters or write stories… artists tend to draw from real life just as often as they reference other works of fiction. But the great thing about this process is that it depends entirely on your own personal interpretation of not only the work of fiction in question, but also of how the world around you works. I believe that we, as humans, are natural complainers and nitpickers, constantly believing ourselves to be the sole authority on how the world should work. On one hand, it might be easy to just rant about it and call it a day, but I believe these rants hold quite a lot of creative potential. Writing isn’t about coming up with something wholly new and original… story telling is pretty much limited to the human experience, and we’ll always fall back on something familiar (note the tropeless tale)… instead, its about writing about the familiar in a new way.

Thoughts?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a film about navigating family trauma. It’s why the characters are so relatable. Most of us have been there.

  • Peter has never dealt with the loss of his mother or an absent biological father who is as deluded (and controlling) as he is deranged.
  • Gamora and Nebula are navigating the impacts of an abusive father on sisterhood, with unlearning the dynamics of abusive relationships.
  • Drax is coping with the loss of his family by building chosen family with the rest of the team (chosen family is a huge theme).
  • Rocket deploys defense mechanisms at every opportunity to hide the pain of being abused and discarded by his creators.
  • Yondu continues to grapple with his parents selling him into slavery, with similar feelings of abandonment mirrored in Rocket.
  • Groot, just like in real life, is a child bearing witness to a family trying to cope with their pain in the midst of survival.

As children, how many of us have lived the stories we see in the film’s characters? How many are still trying to heal?

Sex Worker's Guide: Red Flags & Translation (especially for Newbies)

This guide is more useful for Sugar babies but other branches of the industry should still be aware of these lines. I’ve compiled a list of common things I’ve heard/read on POT’s profiles or have had clients/SD’s message me, and I’ve taken the liberty of sharing “the translation” and footnotes attached.

•"No hookers, prostitutes, whores, etc"
-You need to run as fast as your pretty heels can you carry you away from this guy. The word “hooker” was intentionally chosen to discourage SB’s to ask for allowance.
-This is the oldest trick in the book by old pervy men. He hopes that he’ll tap into your insecurity of being seen as a whore so you’ll feel ashamed when you bring up HIS side of the MUTUALLY beneficial arrangement.

•"You wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it, would you?“
GURRRRRL, you’re not a car. You’re a human being. He’s gotten his “test drive” to check out his “merchandise” when you granted him the privilege of a meet and greet. Don’t fall for this. He’s gonna ghost on you after sleeping with you as many times as he can. You get to view a house before buying, not live in it.

•"I don’t believe in allowances but I’m generous. I want to show you fine dining, and experiences you wouldn’t be able to experience otherwise.“
-Roughly translates to “I’m gonna spend just a few bucks more than I would on normal courtship habits I would for women twice your age. You should feel so honored to be able to eat a steak meal now that it should be enough to get you on both your knees.”
-Ladies, the money he spends on a 5 star dinner isn’t for YOU. It’s expenses he’s spending on HIMSELF because HE gets to show off a hot woman like yourself at said restaurant. You’re not getting paid. You’re simply giving your service away for free.

•"I’m young, unlike the other guys on here. I don’t need to pay for sex.“
Group A: Young millennial men deluded into thinking they offer something so spectacular that women in need of money will drop their financial needs to cater to the ego of a kid.
Group B: (ages 29+): I’m not that young but I don’t want to admit it. I probably spend way too much money on hair dyes or gym regimens in an attempt to fool myself that I’m just as good looking as the women I’m messaging on here.

•"I will send/bring your allowance next week (some other time), I promise.”
-It really means “I promise you ain’t seeing a penny out of me but I’m gonna say the most genuine sounding lines so I can bring you to my hotel room.”.
-Any wealthy man should be able to access his OWN money before the designated date of intimacy. Always remember, no money, no honey.

•"I’m generous in other ways… ;)“
-"I’ve had the fortune of having exceptionally skilled sex partners in the past who’ve convinced me my dick is God’s gift to women. Unfortunately, I failed to realize women fake it much more often than I’d like to admit.”

•He just requests your photos without even so much as an introduction.
-He’s 9/10 a photo collector. Ignore him.
-If he’s the 1/10 that isn’t a photo collector, he’s gonna be an asshole. Can you imagine if a man in real life just went up to you and pulled down your shirt without saying anything? Ignore him too.

•"I thought part of our arrangement was that you’re at my beck and call. Why do you take so long to respond to my messages?“
-Unless you agreed to have an EXCLUSIVE arrangement, he’s trying to squeeze as much out of you as he can.
-Remember ladies, he’s buying a SERVICE. A service that is limited to the set days you BOTH agreed to. That’s it. He is buying you as a service, not a girlfriend. Gently remind him of that.

•"Cmon, I’ve been paying you/seeing you for awhile now. You can at least trust me with your real name, school, work, etc.”
-Any variation of that is a SERIOUS red flag. I’ve had clients of years try to guilt me. I’ve always either smiled then tell them I don’t feel comfortable or I flat out lie about facts.
-There’s a chance he just wants to connect with you but there’s a much higher chance of him blackmailing you in the future. These are powerful men who got to where they are by being cunning and having upper hands. Don’t think you’ll be spared if you ever accidentally upset him.
-The biggest thing I must say is: YOU DON’T OWE YOUR CLIENTS/SD’S JACKSHIT except the service they paid for. Your own personal life is NOT inclusive in your service. Keep it separate.

•If on a meet and greet he asks or tells you to go to his hotel room or somewhere private.
-Never go until the arrangement has been made. By made, I mean the cash or funds have already been paid to you.
-Semi-common for them to lure young girls and rape them.

I’m sure there are many more that I can’t remember now. I might make a part two depending on if people find this useful. Feel free to comment more red flags you’ve experience. Make that money. 💸💸💸 Stay safe, ladies. 👍🏻

It’s gross how people don’t see that constantly having bisexual women on television end up with men just supports real life biphobia that bisexuals can face from gays and lesbians. “I don’t date bisexuals because they’re just going to go back to the opposite sex.” Representation matters. And if all the representation is one sided then that subconsciously leaks back into the real world and has real world consequences. So, don’t tell me that a bisexual woman ending up with a man is still bisexual representation. No. SHE is still bisexual representation. Their relationship just lends to a negative stereotype.

iamkidfish  asked:

I saw your post about tips for writing love stories and it was really helpful! While the romance between my two characters is not the main plot it is certainly a big deal. I realized that I might have fallen victim to insta love and I was wondering how to avoid writing insta love?

Insta love is basically when the characters fall in love with each other without the backing of actually knowing each other and sharing experiences. So here’s a list on how to avoid it:

1. Instant attraction is different from insta love. Just like in real life, what people see first is on the outside, which might then spark them to learn about what’s inside. So you may have a character be attracted to another character the second they lay eyes on them, and that’s okay. It’s actually a pretty good start to a romantic relationship.

2. Let them get to know each other. Share struggles or moments of vulnerability. Let them flirt, ramp up the attraction, and get them to a point where they feel close to one another. This requires a bit of time. Of course, depending on who your characters are, this could take merely a few hours, but there needs to be some time between “Hey look at that cutie” and “I would die for them.”

3. Know your characters. What makes them open up to a possible romantic partner? Why are they attracted to this person? Why do they trust them and want to be with them? If you have legitimate answers, then that can explain a quick bond between two people which can lead to a quicker romantic fling that doesn’t count as an insta love.

4. Think about if your characters romantic progressions make sense and are healthy. It’s best to do this from the perspective of a best friend. If you find yourself going “oooh gurl, why u doin that” then maybe that’s not a romance your audience can root for. If outsiders think a relationship is moving too fast with too little footing, it might be lust, not love.

Hope this helps!

I Like You [Min Yoongi]

Warning: Contains smut. Do not read if you are underage.

A/N: This is very, very long. Grab a coffee, sit back and enjoy. Thank you to @katythekitty for your suggestions with the plot. I guess in a way this is kind of your requests? Idk.

‘Y/n?’ Yoongi’s voice questions softly as you stretch across the floor of the dorm, arms reaching above your head to get into that tight spot in your lower back. His foot pokes out from his position on the low couch, gently nudging your thigh to roll you slightly on your side.

‘Mmm?’ You respond, the sleepy tone in your voice giving away the true nature of your state. The few cans of beer were sitting heavily in your stomach, a beverage that since your college days had always had you yawning before the night was over. Lazily, you flop on your side, scooting across the wooden panelled floors.

‘I was just checking you were still awake. It’s 2am and the movie finished. Want me to flag a taxi for you?’ You let out a slow whine, body wrapping around his feet to clutch his ankles tightly.

‘Why, you don’t want to hang out with me?,’ You pout, clinging to his legs like a small, fluffy koala. You could almost feel his body tense under your touch, an audible breath hissing through his teeth as your arms claw their way up his black denim jeans. ‘C’mon, Yoongyoong. I thought we were having fun. We are only two movies into this Harry Potter marathon… We’ve still got another 6 to go. Where’s your stamina?’ Your hands reach up to tickle behind his knees, before sitting upwards to envelop the entire lower half of his leg into a hug.

‘Fuck… you’re weird.’ His face was still flat, expression blank as he watches you crawl your way up his body, coming to sit comfortably next to him, lounging into the comfort of the soft black fabric of the long hoodie he had chosen to wear. Instinctively, your hands wrap around his waist, head placing itself in the crook between his shoulder and arm.

‘You love it, though, right?’ It takes a second, his body heaving with a deep sigh - the air of which dusts lightly across the crown of your head - before you feel his arm drop, grasping your shoulder and pulling you a little closer to him.

‘Not really.’ He responds just as flatly, a flicker of a smile lacing across his face so briefly you you wouldn’t have seen it if you weren’t trained in finding it. It’s the only evidence you have of what he was really saying.
