Bail (pre-apocalypse!DarylxReader)

Hi guys! Since I’m so ridiculously obsessed with the idea of young Daryl before the apocalypse, I’ve made yet another pre-apocalypse!Daryl fic where he’s once again up to no good. I think I might make this into an AU series, but idk. Let me know what you guys think!

Characters- teenage!Reader, teenage!Daryl Dixon, and Merle Dixon.

When Merle takes Daryl out with the intention to cause trouble, the two get caught, but Merle gets away and Daryl gets thrown in a jail cell. Not wanting to get his brother in trouble, he takes the blame. He doesn’t want his father to bail him out as he knows that he isn’t getting home without a beating, so the only choice he has is to get his girlfriend Y/N to bail him out. Y/N is ridiculously angry, as this isn’t the first time that Merle has gotten Daryl into trouble and Daryl has just rolled over to protect him once again.

Warnings- strong language, fluff, angst, a little bit of violence.

and also sorry Merle stans, but I made him kind of an asshole in this, but don’t worry, it’s all for the purpose of the plot and the Daryl feels

Ah yes, the four champions of the apocalypse. They are lovely, yet grim reminders of the dark battles to come. Also I am naming them all Gregory.

I just want to say that on the show I love how there not just one person of color and that their token person of color like on most shows. There Michonne,Sasha,Morgan,King Ezekiel,Father Gabriel,Rosita so many people of color.Even in the past we had Tyrese,Bob,Tdog,Glenn. Also that there more than one lgbt couple or person on the show Tara,Arron, and Jesus .Like I love the diversity on this show.It people of all colors, background becoming a family. Most shows and films they just throw one person of color in there and want to call that diverse when it far from it.It also show black women as strong, capable, the heroes and deserving of love .There also the diverse couples like Rick and Michonne,Glenn and Maggie,Sasha with Abraham or Rosita with Abraham and none of these interracial relationships where built on fetishes just love . I just really appreciate  The Walking Dead for that and it doesn’t get enough credit. It a show about zombie apocalypse but yet somehow it more of a realistic picture of what the world really look like compare to most shows.

Has a Voltron apocalypse AU been done yet? My favorite space dorks Keith and Shiro would make an excellent zombie-killing team, and the hybrid zombies would be called galra. Honestly this is mostly just because Steven Yeun voices Keith (by beloved Glenn).

Also, BONUS zombie-galra shiro:

April Fools, Inc.

this is a welcome home gift for my incredible beautiful amazing awesome daughter @gabriels-horn-of-truth - and what better to celebrate her return with than ridiculous mushy sabriel amirite or amirite)))

(of course there’s angst too. have u met me)

Sam’s phone begins to ring somewhere after 7 pm and he freezes in place, not sure if he’s hearing things. It’s one of his older phones, one he hasn’t used for a long time. He listens to its cheerful outdated ringtone while he rummages through the nightstand drawer. The phone sits at the very back, wedged between an old notebook and another old phone. He pulls it out, hesitates for a split second, and presses the green button.

“May I speak to Sam Winchester, please?”

“Who’s – um – who’s asking?”

“This is Molly from April Fools, Inc., and I’m calling to confirm your standing order for tomorrow. You have the Deluxe Package, so there’s quite a few options available for you. Can you spare a few minutes of your time and answer a couple of questions now so that we can narrow it down and set you up with the best solution possible?”

“Uh,” Sam says. His head is spinning, and he isn’t sure why. It’s probably just a mistake. Wrong number. Wrong Sam Winchester. “This must be a mistake. I didn’t order anything from you.”

“Hold on a moment, please.”

Sam hears a click and the first few bars of some standard elevator music worm into his ear. It’s a bit too loud, so he winces and moves the phone away.

“Mr. Winchester?”

“I apologize for the inconvenience, it appears that the order was placed in your name by a Mr. Tuesday. It was paid for in advance, so all we have to do now is get those specifications for your order – if you choose to accept it, that is.”

Engineering company Festo is creating robots based on nature

German engineering firm Festo is creating a robot army. Sounds scary, right? But there’s no need to fear a “Skynet”-type apocalypse quite yet, because these robots want to do good by making laborious tasks easier in the factories of the future. And they’re using nature as their inspiration.

Festo summarizes the motivation behind their research on their website: “Gripping, moving, controlling and measuring – nature performs all of these tasks instinctively, easily and efficiently. What could be more logical than to examine these natural phenomena and learn from them?”

(I understand these are a bunch and you don't have to do them if you don't want to dearie) but! *cracks knuckles like Peter in front of the explosion* got any headcanons for Warren, Kurt, Peter or Jubilee? (she really deserved so much more in apoc)

A/N: sorry i haven’t watched apocalypse yet x

  • Before the two of you even bein dating, he’s your best friend first.
  • The two of you passing notes in class and not really paying attention, much to Professor Xavier’s disapproval.
  • You being practically the only one who understands his need for flying, not judging him if he decides to skip class and take to the skies instead.
  • Lots and lots of trips around the school, him holding you in his arms as he flies around.
  • As soon as he realizes that he has a crush on you, nothing really changes much in your relationship, because quite honestly he doesn’t know how to respond to these feelings.
  • Most of the people in his life that loved him were disgusted by the fact that he was a mutant, but for someone who understands the struggle and perhaps loves him because of that seemed surreal to him.
  • Going to Bobby for advice, which Warren tries on you with no avail.
  • Professor Xavier noticing his struggles and giving him the piece of advice after all; to be himself.
  • As cliché as it sounded the Professor turned out to be right, the two of you getting together nearly a week later.

  • One the most polite and respectful boys that you have ever dated.
  • Gentle kisses, whether it be on the lips, cheeks, neck or elsewhere.
  • He always asks permission for a kiss or anything else that he wants to do with you, almost as if he’s afraid of hurting you.
  • Sometimes he gets a bit insecure that someone like you is dating someone like him, when quite possibly you could have anyone in the school and yet you chose him.
  • Always mending his insecurities with small kisses on the forehead or cheek.
  • Absolutely loving his accent, which around the school makes him a bit insecure since everyone has American accents, but you reassuring him that its a big turn on.
  • The two of you often going on dates that involved watching after the children in the school, Kurt being the best father figure in the world.
  • Lots of awkward and sweaty handholding.
  • Sweet, chaste and gentle kisses.
  • Him being the best boyfriend anyone could ask for.

  • Never in your life had you met a more arrogant and self-centered person.
  • Thus, your first reaction was to utterly loathe the boy.
  • However, he was known not to take no for an answer, which was why every time the two of you were on the same mission or happened to be in the same class together, he would shamelessly flirt with you.
  • Multiple times you would tell him off, but you could swear he had to be either the most dense or stubborn person on the planet.
  • The two of you having a love/hate relationship with each other for months.
  • There was suddenly a shift in your relationship, as if perhaps being with him wouldn’t be that bad.
  • You, of course would never admit that; you would never want to fuel his ego even more.
  • Him becoming super jealous of every guy that you seemed to hang out with, but he would always deny it whenever you seemed to suggest that idea.
  • It was only after you were severely injured on a mission, did Peter finally make a move.
  • As soon as you were conscious he spewed out his well prepared speech, but noticing your perplexed look, kissed you instead.
  • The two of you getting scolded for making out in the med bay.

Has anyone considered a Voltron zombie apocalypse au yet? My guess is that someone has. But I was rescuing some displaced Walking Dead books from the wrong shelf at the library today and it made me start wondering.

The Galra are a bunch of survivors who have been steadily consolidating power and gathering resources while bands of them attack, rob, or capture those not part of their community yet. Their leader is a grizzled and cold-hearted man named Zachariah Archon (nicknamed Zarkon by enemies) and his mercenary band.

The Galaxy Garrison becomes a high school that turned into a survivor camp when students’ families moved in. Sam and Matt Holt, Shiro, and probably a few other Redshirts were on a supply gathering expedition when a Galra gang kidnap them. They all get separated in the compound and Shiro ends up being thrown into an old sports stadium to fight the undead (including some family members if we wanted to get really angsty).

Allura is one of the last survivors of a small military base, and she still has access to most of their gear. Her dad’s old friend Coran has pretty much been raising her since she was ten, and killing zombies is second nature to her. “Voltron” is a large, experimental tank-like weapon. Unfortunately it takes a lot of fuel, which has to be scavenged.

No one is sure how Keith has been surviving alone after leaving the Garrison, but he and a handful of teens from the camp discover Shiro being questioned by Iverson after escaping Archon (who had been hoping to condition him into one of his generals). As Iverson isn’t keen on another mouth to feed – especially one that may have been compromised by experiences in the Galra compound – things look grim for Shiro.

Cue Lance, Hunk, Keith and Pidge kidnapping him and leaving the camp in a rush. Only two of them are leaving family members behind. Lance got separated from his family when he was twelve and doesn’t know where they are. Keith has always been alone.

Allura rescues them from a group of zombies on the road and offers them a lift back to her base. Realizing that they won’t get a better offer, the gang decides to stick with the girl with the tank.

The world faced the Apocalypse centuries ago. And yet, here we still are. The world isn’t the same as it once was, but the rivers still run red.

Autumn visits the Blood Fen, a swampy area where some locals are having troubles dealing with some misbehaving banshees.

(In other words, I try to work on lore as well as some creative editing ;3)
