is this some kind of bet

saw someone fearing yousef's interest was some kind of dare/bet between the guys....... how occ? the same guys who almost jumped their own friend for calling his sister slave woman? really? the theories this season are downright crazy and oh so negative..... last season the headcanons mostly made sense and i enjoyed reading them but this season i decided i am going to enjoy sana and yousef's journey bc they are cute af

I definitely don’t think he’s doing it because of a bet. That just isn’t logical to me. He looks genuinely enamored, and I don’t think the other guys are even aware of his crush. Also the chemistry between the two of them is so gooood, it’s better than noorhelm imo.

That said it wouldn’t be Skam (or any deccent show for that matter) without a conflict, so I think it’s wise to be prepared for shit to go down. For example the Even/Mikael/Yousef thing is well shady. But, it’s possible to enjoy cuteness as well as being prepared :)

About fandom and last season. That was full of shitload of bs as well, couldn’t shake that damn “Even is gonna die” headcanon all through the season and even made it to this season to some extent. So don’t really agree with that hehe. People love their doomsday prophesies.

Baby vult here, whats the best way to get furs/bones to keep a nice smell? I have some bones in my room and im deathly (lmao) worried about it leaving any kind of icky smell! Is there a way for my bones to smell like daisys and not that bone calcium ish scent? Please and thank you.

I think your best bet would be trying to close them in a container with some pleasant smelling plants, potpourri, or something with a strong but nice smell, so that they can absorb it a little. You can also just give them a light spritz with an air freshener, if there’s any you like. To the best of my knowledge, that shouldn’t harm them. Make sure to gently clean your bones and furs so they don’t get too dusty as well; just wipe them down with a cloth, use a duster, or for furs you can even gently brush them with a soft bristle brush if the pelt isn’t shedding too badly on its own (if it’s shedding a lot, try to avoid brushing, and be especially gentle with it).

I’m personally not one for scents myself so I’m not sure how to make them smell like daisies precisely, but I’m sure there’s some kind of scented spray out there. If any of our followers have a suggestion please feel free to chime in!

Don’t read the comments on this article. The kid did it because he was learning about how teenage girls suffer from depression more than any other age group, and didn’t want any girls going home feeling sad on Valentine’s Day.
Ofc half the comments are like “what an EPIC playa, bet he got some action after that hahaha” or “why do these special snowflakes need a handout like this” or “what kind of Richie Rich kid” (chocolate company donated the boxes after learning why he wanted so much)
Like… why is humanity like this

Humans are Weird: Seasons

I was thinking about how Earth is probably one of the rare planets with seasonal climates, due to its wonky tilted axis. So Earth has a crazy variety of climates and weather patterns, and humans have just learned how to deal, much to the confusion of everybody else.

This was turning into a headcanon about how humans are bizarrely prepared for anything, and then I had a thought- Space Cruises

Ummm… yeah, about that, Allura… read the captions

So. It seems that the Galra Empire not only did not get crippled by the loss of its leader, it became stronger, more effective, more ruthless under Lotor’s reign.

Sure, Zarkon’s gone. The King is Dead.

But, Lotor is here. Long Live the King!

Which means, that the Paladins only made things worse for the galaxy as a whole, while trying to make them better.

Which, again, means one thing: Shiro’s sacrifice was for nothing.

OK, let’s back up.

There are many interesting things to say about Lotor right now from the sneak peak of him we had yesterday (cowface included). Many hints about what he’s like as a character and most importantly, as a leader.

Mainly his speech:

“My father built our empire on the backs of resemblance. The universe can no longer doubt our strength. Each ally gained only makes us stronger. All those who continue to stand against us… will be crushed.”

The most interesting and the most important thing to take from this speech is that Lotor is the Empire’s Shiro.

Look what he preaches: “our empire”, “resemblance”, “ally”,  “stronger”,  “strength”… not only what Zarkon himself used to preach is there, “strength”, but something new, something Zarkon never counted on and even spat at:

Unity.

Lotor literally says that the more allies the Galra have, the stronger they get. He introduces strength in numbers, in unity. FiveMany becoming one in order to crush their opponents. That united, the Garla Empire is strong. That working together is the key to strength and success.

Remind you of anyone?

(there it is)

Yeah…

(There are more examples in S1&2, so go ahead and rewatch. They’re EVERYWHERE.)

And the most baffling of all in this speech, maybe:

It implies that races other than the Galra are important to the Galra Empire as well.

Try and wrap your mind around this: Lotor basically supports acceptance of anyone who wants to join the Galra Empire as an ally who gives the most important virtue said Galra Empire holds dear: Strength.

“United, we are stong against our enemies.”

That’s Lotor’s speech in a nutsell.

Which is what Shiro has been preaching since day one in the Paladin duty. And indeed, was what made the Paladins indeed strong enough to beat Zarkon:

…yup.

Hey, it’s a reboot of a shounen series. What did you expect?

And now, we see that the enemy brings in this virtue along, unifying whoever is an ally to the Galra and welcoming them.

Check this out:

“My father built our empire on the backs of resemblance.”

Wait, “resemblance”? Between who and what?

Taking into consideration his line about “allies”, it’s easy to see who and what: between the Galra and others.

Lotor has the gall (and the brilliance) to call the conquering dictatorship of the Galra a way to unify the galaxy under one flag, to find resemblance amongst different kinds of myriads of races with miryads of differences and even appreciate said differences, since they aid into becoming a stronger unit.

Lotor preaches union, cooperation, and working together as a team empire to defeat enemies.

It’s basically, “Either you’re with us, or against us.”

…jfc

Going away from all the real life history for a while and back to the idea of unity Lotor preaches, yes, you understood correctly:

The Galra Empire just found its Shiro. Its inspirational, motivational, charismatic, good leader… in Lotor.

Keith isn’t Lotor’s mirror. Neither is Lance. It’s Shiro.

And how fitting, according to the Rule of Drama (things will become worse the worst possible time for our heroes), that the Empire’s Shiro appears…

…when the Paladins’ Shiro goes AWOL.

Oh, and another nifty parallel:

Shiro made a name for himself in the Galra Empire by being a “Champion” gladiator in the arena…

…a very familiar-looking arena.

…where Lotor firstly appears to the public and earns its favour by beating his opponent:

So, a fighter as good as the Legendary Champion gladiator, who reveals himself as the son of their fallen Emperor, who preaches that unity is the key to strength?

You can bet your butt the crippled and in dire need of leadership Galra Empire will believe and latch onto him.

In the 80s cartoon, Lotor was a joke of a villain.

Here?

He’s absolutely terrifying and realistic. And effective.

So, our own heroes, with their own lynch taken away God knows where and why, they’re absolutely vulnerable towards this kind of opponent.

But hey, we’re only in the 3rd season in September, meaning that at least, even if it means they’ll go in hiding, they WILL face him at some point and they WILL survive (hopefully). It means that someone WILL rise to the occasion and at least TRY to be Shiro’s shadow and unify the Paladins once again.

(there are MUCH more…)

BIG No.

Hey, how about…?

(there are more…)

Good brains for teamwork and strategy, but…

…those self-confidence issues cripple him too much.

Next?

Much warmer.

Too bad the creators said that she won’t pilot a lion.

So, what happens? Who will face Lotor?

Keith.

WAIT.

Yes, Keith is the least equipped to face such an opponent and be a leader of… anything.

 Yes, Keith will face Lotor.

Exactly because he’s the least suitable for the job.

You see, season 3 is the first part of the middle of the series (6 in total). And what happens in the middle of a story?

The darker sequel.

The Empire Strikes Back (literally, in our case).

Keith wil try to be the Black Paladin, the leader, Lotor’s opponent… and he will fail.

The heroes will be damaged, left weak and defeated. In the Hero’s Journey, this will lead to their Lowest Point, to their Darkest Time.

After all, Lotor needs to prove himself an effective villain. To become so, he needs a win against our heroes and the best way for Lotor to win, is for Keith to be the leader.

Also, this:

The irony is that Lotor (it’s him, jfc) has already shown to Keith that “working together bares better results/success”.

And Keith is gonna fail this one.

Because he’s part Galra, and he’ll feel torn (the opposite of the union Lotor and Shiro preached). I’m fully expecting Lotor to offer Keith an alliance, paralleling the Weblrum adventure.

(And no, sorry, it makes little sense for Lotor’s focus to be Lance. The creators have said that they keep elements of the original intact, so a Keith-Lotor rivalry is to be expected. Only, instead of “Who gets Allura” this will be an ideology and identity battle. Both Keith and Lotor are of mixed race; their connection is already there, Allura or no Allura).

And then, we can wait for seasons 5 and 6 to come, for Keith to FINALLY get proper Character Development (I actually do expect Lance to play a big role in this one; he unified the paladins first, he’ll do it again), stop being coddled by the narrative and rise up to the occasion.

And when he does beat Lotor (or redeems him, who knows), Zarkon and Shiro return for the final battle and the series ends.

In the meantime, Allura sorts out her feelings towards a possible future with possibly innocent Galra existing in the so-called coalition her father had made, Pidge gets her family back, Lance gets confidence, Shiro finds self-value, Keith matures, and Hunk continues to get braver and wiser.

Coran keeps being gorgeous.

Season 2 was… sub-par, to say the least. Let’s hope for a better continuation.

Alright, so, I’ll start this off by saying I am honestly not an expert on Kakyoin, contrary to popular belief (I’d actually consider myself more of an expert on Jotaro’s character, if anything), but I’m going to do my best to give my views on Kakyoin’s character, as well as some canon evidence to support it, and hopefully it will help a bit.

If you want a great reference of how to write Kakyoin in fic, go read Sand, sand and more sand on AO3, because it’s honestly one of the best depictions of Kak I’ve ever read, and he’s quite close to canon.

*ahem*

Kakyoin is pretty snarky. He’s subtle about it, but he’s also kind of a shithead. He’s polite most of the time, but it seems to be more of a setting he defaults to when he doesn’t feel entirely comfortable around the people he’s with. We have quite a few quips from him as examples of this, such as him laughing at andd mocking Anne during the dark blue moon arc, and saying she couldn’t possibly be the stand user on board, and in the Geb and N'Doul fight where he orders Polnareff to attack the canteen because he “doesn’t want to”. He also at one point responds to Polnareff saying “this looks bad!” with, “well it most certainly isn’t good.”

He’s blunt, but this also means that he’s honest. He dislikes liars, and prefers that everything is set out before him clearly and plainly as opposed to someone that is clearly dancing around the subject.

He also seems like quite the know-it-all, and likes being right; and he’s probably the type to argue with someone even if he knows he’s wrong. He seems to genuinely enjoy teaching the crusaders about the culture of all the places they visit on their journey, and he has the ability to retain all of that information to recant to them, as well. It seems to be somewhat of an interest of his.

And then there’s this, of course…

The cherry thing is something that kind of bothers me in fandom and fic. Yes; Kakyoin says that cherries are his favourite fruit. Child Kakyoin has cherries on his shirt (keep in mind that the scene with child kakyoin is added in my DavidPro and is not technically canon). BUT, it doesn’t mean that he has to have everything cherry-related. It’s a seriously overused trait in fandom to the point that it just becomes annoying. Kak can have a coffee without it having to be cherry flavoured. Just remember that he canonically enjoys lots of different foods, and that he doesn’t need to exclusively eat cherries and cherry flavoured things. He probably likes to eat foods from all different cultures.

Video games: There is evidence to suggest that Kakyoin spends a LOT of time playing F-Mega, however, this doesn’t mean that his extreme knowledge of the tracks and mechanics applies to every video game in existence. He’s a teenager, with no friends in the 80’s, of course he’s going to spend time playing video games. But back in the 80s, people often only had one or two games, so it’s likely that he has simply replayed F-Mega a LOT, to the point of knowing it by heart. I know the levels of Mario 3 extremely well, simply because I played them over and over again as a kid. If you are fixated on a single game for extended periods of time (especially if it’s the only game you own), you are of course going to know the game well. Knowing a lot about a single game does not mean that he’s obsessed with video games, and does not necessarily mean that he’s a shut-in, and never goes outside.

Also keep in mind that he says that he’s “pretty good at video games”. He doesn’t claim to be great at them, and since we’ve already established that Kakyoin is quite blunt, it would be out of character to assume that he’s being humble here. He literally means that he’s just “pretty good” at them. No more, no less.

His real-world experience is vast, and it’s also mentioned that his parents take him many places on vacation. He’s been to a lot of places, and retains cultural knowledge. It’s not as if he’s read it in books: he’s actually been to these places before, and he mentions it frequently. This suggests that he gets out quite a bit, and also kind of suggests that maybe he isn’t quite the model student type in school.

Kakyoin doesn’t appear to be the honours student & straight A’s type. He doesn’t think twice about skipping out on his new school to travel to Egypt, and as I said before, his knowledge appears to come more from first-hand experience rather than school studies (and I bet he missed more than a few of his classes due to the trips that he and his parents took). He’s a know-it-all, but it doesn’t mean that he does well in school.

On the other hand, Jotaro IS a model student, despite his delinquent status. It’s more likely that Jotaro would be the one helping Kakyoin with his homework.
(He might disrespect his teachers, but he still gets good grades, and let’s not forget that he becomes a marine biologist later in life.)

Kakyoin’s profile also mentions that he “appears very effeminite”. This is another thing that is often misinterpreted. His appearence may be somewhat feminine, and he takes pride in how he looks, but his personality and mannerisms are not inherently feminine.

He hates being forced into submission, and this is the reason why he despises Dio so much. Dio took advantage of his vulnerability and the fact that Kak didn’t have any friends to use him as his pawn. He drew Kak in, made him feel wanted, needed, and then took control of his mind and body.

“He appears to be very effeminate. In reality, he despises submitting to people or sucking up to them.” - Taken directly from his canon personality description.

Another thing that people seem to miss is the fact that he’s extremely sadistic. He says himself that Heirophant “loves nothing more than to rip things to shreds” and that it might “drive him mad with joy”. He likes being in control of the situation, remember. He probably hates losing fights, as well (especially since he could be considered a weakling for losing).

Kakyoin also seems to like Baseball, judging by his profile naming a favourite team, and sumo, as we all know from his exchange with Jotaro.

One of the things that fandom does definitely get right, is Kakyoin being the mother hen of the group. He’s taken on the role of the responsible one, because Joseph is… far from being an adult. He’s strategic and thinks everything out logically, and so is the mature one of the group, especially after Avdol’s “death”. He appears to be content to follow Joseph, but when it’s needed, he steps up and becomes the leader in his place. This is seen when Jotaro, Joseph and Polnareff start physically fighting random men that they suspect are the one in the Wheel of Fortune car, to which he says that, “this is not a good idea,” and that it’s, “getting out of hand”. It’s also seen in the tower of grey fight where he mentions that it’s better that he fights on the plane, because he’s the least destructive of the bunch (even though he’s capable of blasting holes into clock towers, apparently his emerald splash isn’t destructive; okay Kak…).

He’s also fiercely protective of his friends, and extremely loyal as well. Kakyoin isn’t the type to abandon his friends in any circumstance.

He’s a CASANOVA. While Jotaro draws more unwanted attention from girls due to his bad boy façade, Kakyoin is slick and smooth with them, so much so that they notice him more over Jotaro. He’s quick to diffuse the situation when Jotaro pushes the girls aside (again, in the tower of grey arc), and it’s just… yes.

Just look at this. You can bet your ass he’s not the type to blush and stutter as he’s confessing. Straight up grabbing the girl and apologizing for Jotaro. Smooth as butter.

Here are some other scenes that might be able to explain his character a bit better as well:

Mouthing off to Joseph- Jotaro approves.

This line is wonderful. (Again, to Joseph? It’s almost like they have this kind of rivalry going on, haha)

Some really good insight to his character and motivations (And one of my favourite Jotakak moments).

The anime kind of makes this out to be a sort of “Kakyoin mocking Polnareff” scene, but in the manga he seems like he’s just stating what he heard. Pretty matter-of-fact about the whole situation.

Unimpressed.

I believe that this is the first moment that Kakyoin really realizes that he and any of his companions can die at any moment. Avdol has been shot, and he’s in complete shock. This is a normal teenager that’s now painfully aware of the danger he’s putting himself in to help out Jotaro and Joseph. Sure, he realized that he would be involved in fights, and a little blood would be shed for the greater good, but I don’t think he had realized up to this point that he might actually die.

And here’s Kakyoin’s character bio.

It’s also notable that he didn’t tell his parents where he was going prior to leaving. This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s in bad standing with his parents (especially since his dying thoughts were of them), and could possibly be because he didn’t want to worry them, or something of the sort, but the fact remains that he didn’t tell them beforehand. Take from this what you will.

So yeah, this is what I get from Kakyoin. He’s kind, loyal to a fault, and deeply in love with Jotaro– and he’s a pretty complex character to write. Don’t feel like you need to take all of this into account, because it’s hard to keep his entire character intact with fanfiction. A lot of his personality comes across in facial expressions, so it’s sometimes difficult to translate that into non-visual media. Just refer back to canon if you aren’t sure of something, and you should be fine. Good luck!

The Case of the Bed Stranger

Stiles/Derek, T, 1.5K words, College AU

Written for the following prompt: The house party me and my friends threw kinda escalated and after throwing out everyone I found this half naked person passed out in my bed but I can’t be bothered to wake them up now so I’m just gonna go to sleep and deal with it in the morning, they are kind of cute anyway AU

“Erica,” Derek says calmly—very calmly, he thinks, considering the situation. It’s two in the morning, he just trudged back from the library with a pounding headache behind his eyes, and he comes home to find their apartment the site of a raging house party, with drunk undergrads everywhere.

“Hey, Der,” she says, with that wide grin that only comes out when she’s had one drink too many.

“You didn’t tell me you were throwing a party,” he says, his jaw clenched, and she scoffs.

“This? This isn’t a party. This is a, uh, just a little get-together.”

Derek rolls his eyes. “It’s finals, for fuck’s sake. I’m going to bed, at least turn the fucking music down.”

He pushes through the crowd—accidentally hitting some of them with his backpack, oops—and finally seeks refuge in his room. The noise is dulled, blessedly, when he shuts the door behind him, and he exhales, letting his eyes fall shut. His momentary calm evaporates, however, when he opens eyes and notices the very important fact that someone is currently asleep in his bed, sprawled out on his stomach like he owns the place.

All Derek can see is broad bare shoulders, messy brown hair, and half of a mole-dotted face, pressed into the pillow and currently slack with sleep. Huh.

Derek sighs. He’s fucking exhausted, he doesn’t want to deal with babysitting some drunk kid right now, and he really doesn’t want him to wake up and then throw up in Derek’s bed or something.

Plus, the traitorous little voice in his head says, he’s really cute.

Derek shakes his head, irritated, as he drops his backpack on his desk chair. He strips down to his boxers and skips brushing his teeth—he’ll do it twice in the morning, and people are probably fucking the bathroom anyway, Jesus Christ.

Derek pulls back the comforter and gently slides into the bed, trying not to disrupt the mattress before he realizes that he’s being ridiculous. Why is he even considering a stranger’s comfort? It all seems for naught, anyway, because this kid apparently sleeps like the dead.

He takes a quick peek under the blankets, and at least the guy’s still wearing briefs, thank god. Derek doesn’t want to have to worry about accidentally sexually assaulting someone in his sleep.

He flops over onto his other side—thanks to the king size bed, his only grad school indulgence, there’s plenty of room—and closes his eyes. He’ll deal with this shit in the morning.

Okay so Lance...

This post sparked a headcanon in my head and I can’t stop imaging it now so I’m going to talk about it and develop it a bit more (feel free to add to it, share your opinion about it, talk to me about it, etc)

Considering its pretty much canon that Lance has a big family with the photo we saw in season one I can’t help but picture him with his siblings and cousins having soccer games whenever they’re together. Family gathering or not, I can totally see lance being a decent soccer player.

Hear me out:

- Lance plays soccer as a kid since his older sibling(s) did and his parents insisted he try some extracurriculars

- He sticks with it for quite a few years getting pretty good always enjoying it

- But as he gets older his dreams of being a professional soccer player are replaced with piloting and the Garrison

- Everyone’s crushed when he quits because Lance had the potential to go pro and all his coaches said so

- He doesn’t think about it much and kind of just shrugs when people compliment his soccer skills, Lance doesn’t really believe he’s as great as everyone says he is because of his self-doubt and insecurities

- Lets be real he’d totally look good in a soccer uniform and I bet he has all the merch of his favourite team including like three jerseys, two scarves, temporary tattoos, and a ball signed by his fave player (Keith sees Lance in a soccer jersey at some point and dies a little inside bc holy quiznak he looks so good??)

- On a particularly bad day when Lance is really missing home and his family Hunk catches on and suggests that they all play a quick game of soccer which totally brightens Lance’s mood

- After setting up two goals in the training room and briefing Allura and Coran about the rules and basic concept (Altea probs had the same sport just with a different name lets be real) they split into teams: Lance, Pidge, Shiro VS Keith, Hunk, Allura w/ Coran reffing

- It starts off fun with everyone laughing and just trying their best but as soon as Lance and Keith butt heads it turns competitive and all hell breaks loose

- Pidge being the dork she is doesn’t understand the hype over soccer and only continues to play because she’s enjoying spending time with the group (and she secretly wants to win lol for bragging rights)

- Shiro is all “Keep it a fair game guys! You’re all doing great! Great pass Lance!” and is just happy to see everyone having fun and working together

- Keith is ride or die with any competition and is determined to take Lance down (while also trying to ignore how amazing Lance is bc I can’t get enough of pining Keith lol)

- Hunk is probably a soccer player too so he’s loving it, he’d be the best defence player omg

- Allura picks it up easily and is wicked good totally kicking everyone’s asses, she goes from ‘innocent team fun’ to ‘you’re all going down mfs eat my dust’ (Shiro is smitten af lol he keeps getting distracted by her flawlessness which makes Lance all “Dude! Get it together I am not losing to Keith!”)

- Coran is the best ref ever and is just cheering for everyone the entire time, he’d probably dress for the part too (omg imagine Coran with the black and white striped shirt, a black cap, and whistle lol

- It ends up a tie because the teams are equally good, also the game goes on for much longer than expected so they all get tired af and just finally give in satisfied with the game

- Coran brings out drinks and they all just chill together settling down; everyone’s sweaty and out of breath, they all have goofy grins

- Lance quietly thanks Hunk for getting everyone involved and just sighs happily at his space family

- Just imagine it guys

- Also someone should totally draw this

- Just saying…

I’m more of a Callie kind of guy to be honest but Marie in the new trailer got my mind going crazy. Here’s my little idea about what she’ll look like.

Juggy & Bets Theories :D

[SPOILERS]

There’s been some worry going around that there hasn’t been a lot of development when it comes to Betty and Jughead’s relationship in the story. People kind of feel that, even though they know from spoilers that something will happen, they don’t know if it’ll be justified. I think it will, but not in the way most people are thinking. See, Betty and Jughead aren’t just meeting each other for the first time at the beginning of the series. They already know each other very well, and are friends in the way most people would be if they were best friends with the same person for a similar amount of time. Jughead and Betty are friends out of default because they both are very close, very old friends of Archie’s. Because of that, their relationship is a little different than other friendships probably. Likely Betty and Jughead met each other as early as grade school, and learned to share Archie and get along with each other ever since. They ended up probably hanging out with each other when they were younger, more out of obligation to Archie. I imagine they spent some time being not just friends, but enemies too. They’ve likely seen each other at their worst, and their best and come to truly appreciate each other. They’ve seen each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and learned to compliment each other.

And I think the writers are slowly building up that existing closeness with the audience. There’s a few things that really tip us off about this relationship.

1. Nicknames - Betty and Jughead both have nicknames for each other. Betty has nicknamed Jughead “Juggy,” and Jughead has nicknamed Betty “Bets.” Both people are very reserved, and this is a closeness that they are comfortable sharing. It’s also a pair of nicknames used only between them.

2. Being able to hang out together alone without being awkward - This is a huge one. Being of the opposite gender and in high school, the fact that they can hang out at the newspaper or anywhere else for that matter, together alone likely for extended periods of time, means that they are incredibly comfortable being around each other.

3. They talk off screen - When Jughead showed up to talk to Betty at the paper, it wasn’t because he wandered in. Betty spoke to him off screen prior to that to tell him to meet her. And he showed up, even though he didn’t really understand why she wanted to meet. The fact that the initial interaction happened off-screen suggests that they talk a lot more than the series lets on.

4. Sharing inside jokes and knowing what the other wants and feels without talking about it - There are small moments between these two where they have real chemistry. Like when Betty asks if he and Archie want to join them in Pops, and Jughead has his first real moment of bold charisma and charm in the series. Or when Jughead asks Betty what kind of film she wants for closing night and she names “Rebel Without a Cause” and he looks over at her with the most loving, “you do know me” expression there is. In that same vein, when she sees Archie come through the doors moments later with Grundy, and Betty dismisses herself, Jughead knows exactly what she’s about to do, finding out within seconds that she knows the same thing about Archie that he knows. He instantly throws as much effort into trying to stop her as he can, because he doesn’t want to see her get hurt.

5. Jughead cares deeply about Betty - I know this is a huge leap, but hear me out. If you watched the thunder rolling through Jughead’s emotions this past episode, the disbelief when she went on a date with someone else, the way he tried to comfort her about Polly, the way he blushed when he stood in front of Betty in a suit, and the way he held on to her and went after her the more the world tore her down, you might understand where I’m coming from. Jughead strikes me as someone who doesn’t love easily, and when he does, it begins very subtly before it completely knocks him on his butt. But his physical affection towards her stretches leaps and bounds because he isn’t comfortable with hugging or holding anyone else. Not even in a bro-like way. The fact that he’s extended that affection so much in a single episode also suggests something else… He was waiting for her to get over Archie. He stood out of the way and let her work it out and heal until he was sure she was okay. And then despite everything that was going on in his own life, he stood in front of the storm and let her use him as an anchor when she needed him.

6. Betty trusts Jughead more than anyone else - Out of all the close friends that Betty has, the one person she chooses to spill her darkest, most gut-retching secrets about her sister to is Jughead. Her trust for him runs so deep that when he makes a suggestion that a member of her own family could be involved in Jason’s murder, she pins it up as a viable possibility without argument. She trusts him because he doesn’t throw his words around lightly. She trusts his instincts and his reasoning, and he respects her for her rationality and her intelligence… something they both share.

I’ve written a lot (I’m not sure all of it makes sense either), so I’ll just say… we’re getting there, and I think its going to be amazing. If anyone is interested, I did dive a little more into Jughead’s personality > here <. :)

Rich Fuckboy!Jimin x Tutor!reader

PART II  |  PART III

Word Count: 2,782

Summary: Working as a private tutor at the most prestigious university in the region, you had to put up with a lot of bratty kids. Though none were as bad as Park Jimin. Just as your luck would have it, you’ve been assigned to be his full-time tutor for the year….great. After many failed attempts to get his grades up, Jimin comes up with a bet to raise his marks. What’s the worst that can happen, right?

A/N - This is my fic, just re-posting on my sideblog!

You were grateful for this job, you really were. Some days, it was just really hard to be grateful. You worked at the wealthiest, all boys university this side of the country. You’re a private tutor, working with a maximum of five students a year. Things have been going well for you, you’re known as the best tutor at the school, so parents are flocking to you to help their precious spoiled brats. Hey, at least the money is decent.

Your whole week, scratch that, year has gone downhill the moment you get a call from the Dean.

“Y/n? Yes, hello. We’re going to need you to take on a student full time at the start of the new school year. I know this is a lot, so the pay will be increased, and you won’t have to take any other students. You will be tutoring five days a week for this student. Can you do it?”

“Um, yes, I don’t see why not…” growing a little curious as to why the dean himself is contacting you, you ask, “who is the student, Sir?”

“Park Jimin.” Shit.

Just for entertaining meta-ish purposes I’m going to do these in the order that the characters are introduced in the show. So that means we’re starting off with Fearless Space Leader.

SU Theory: Why They Came To Earth--Pink Diamond’s Role

I have no idea if this has been said or speculated anywhere else in the fandom, but I was looking at those murals of the Diamonds again, and something struck me. Something big. This starts off bizarre but I promise it ties together smoothly.
-
White Diamond’s mural depicts her with this giant halo behind her head, a large circle with what I think is supposed to be rays of light shining down. In her hands safely rests Homeworld, secure and strong in her possession. Above her are other planets we assume she conquered.

Now on to her sisters, Blue and Yellow Diamonds. They have lots of planets around them but look at their heads.

They have much smaller halos. Why?

Y’know who else has the only other giant halo?

We can deduce that all that fancy stained glass jazz behind them is what they’re wearing; YD’s huge shoulders and skirt/leg cape…thing, BD’s dress and WD’s full on royal robe. So we can assume that everything shown in these murals means something.

Why are White Diamond and Pink Diamond shown as seemingly more important than the other two? Because they are/were.

Why? How? Well…

Peridot shared a very important bit of info; Homeworld is running out of resources. Now because of how the show presented it to us, we have no idea for how long Homeworld’s been in that situation. For all we know, it could have been bleeding out for eons now, they live for such a long time.

By “running out of resources”, consider instead that Peridot meant Homeworld is dying. Considering Peridot came from Homeworld proper and not some colony planet, we know they actively make gems on Homeworld. Safe to say, that’s probably what’s draining it dry. Gemkind is a warring race, they conquer other planets to add to their empire, supposedly so they can make more gems.

Now this may seem like a really stupid question but, I always asked myself, why so many? Managing control over that many colonies on a scale like this would be a nightmare even for them with all their power, even with all of their subjects being loyal. Not to mention what it would take to conquer them in the first place. There had to be a driving reason behind it beyond power lust.

I’ve seen a theory floating around that thinks it’s because the Gems are at war with another, more powerful race. But I don’t think that’s why, Peridot just told us why; her lack of skill, the resources problem;

The kinds of gems they can make depends on the planet, what it’s made of and how much of it there is!

Out of every planet they own within their empire, I’d bet my Nintendo collection Homeworld is the planet not only with the most resources, but with the most varied kinds of resources! And that’s why Era 2 Peridots are weaker, smaller and have a harder time using abilities and skills their era 1 counterparts would have been able to use easily.

They conquer so many planets so they can make all sorts of gems! This may even explain why certain gems are common af and some are rare!

Let’s say they only had one or two planets that could produce Sapphires. I’d be resistant to making too many of them at once too, since gem production destroys planets–and less resources means Gems with less prowess over their powers…

Peridot having a hard time with metalbending is one thing but ehh.. wouldn’t want a Sapphire with faulty Future Vision. Imagine how disastrous that would be. All it took to throw our Sapphire off was a sweet non-conforming Ruby.

And here’s an even bigger bombshell; who’s to say the homeworld Peridot is talking about isn’t the original one?  Maybe Gemkind has had to replace their Homeworld many times. They live forever presumably or until they’re shattered, and even then. I can easily see how one planet alone wouldn’t be nearly enough to keep up with demand.  Blue and Yellow Diamond must have been made somewhere too, anyway.

So that explains the planet-hogging, lets get back down to Earth. Remember the giant halos behind White and Pink Diamond? Yeah, how does any of this relate to those, you ask? Once again, Peri, if you please:

“Resources unique to this world” There it is. Unique enough to make tons of different kinds of gems? Maybe even unique enough to turn the Earth into a New Homeworld?

Yeah, see that sounds like a stretch until I went back and found this.

That’s an Atom. The building block on which all matter is made! Like the matter that makes up the resources they need to produce a full range of gems!! I think Earth Colony wasn’t just a colony. It was going to be a New Homeworld. There are no coincidences in Steven Universe.

We know Blue Diamond was on Earth to fight the rebellion, but maybe she was the original antagonist they had to fight. If Pink Diamond was newly formed when the rebellion started, she’d need someone to guide her. Gems pop out of the ground knowing their place and purpose sure, but this is a Diamond. I have a hard time believing they’d just send a quartz soldier to lead the expedition.

Speaking of the rebellion, that’s another thing. If those planets on the murals are anything to go by, Homeworld has tons of colonies. If the Earth was only going to be a colony, then… here, look at this for a sec.

All of that. For one colony?? Just a colony? Really? No way. This planet was more important to them than that. Either that or the Diamonds are ridiculously psycho.

Finally, lets not forget, a Diamond was made here. That has to hold some significance as they obviously don’t make a new Diamond on every colony they get. Look at Pink Diamond’s pose. The other Diamonds look powerful and in control, she’s bursting from the ground reaching for the Earth, as if she and this planet were some great hope for them.

In Conclusion

That’s why Pink Diamond has the same halo as White Diamond, that’s why they fought so long and hard for the Earth and Pink Diamond; Maybe she was going to be the ruler of a New Homeworld, and our solar system would have become her line of conquered planets.

Now think of Jasper’s unrelenting self-hatred for failing to protect her Diamond, the Cluster, the fused gem experiments and Yellow Diamond’s utter contempt and hate for the Earth. Yikes. Homeworld is fucked up.

The Reveal We All Needed...

Before you start reading I just want to say… this is EXACTLY what it looks like… and probably what none of you are expecting XD So Enjoy, and remember, all blame goes to @marinette-buginette and @mr-hawkmoth who both gave me the idea for drunk shenanigans…

And before you ask, I regret nothing.

Gabriel Agreste was a great many things. The leader of a fashion empire that he had built up from the dust. A powerful, influential figure within the city of Paris. Once, a loving husband. Occasionally a stern father. Recently, a man obsessed with gaining the power held by the Miraculous, the villain known as Hawkmoth.

But for the moment he was completely and utterly shit-faced.

“Aide-y Dream! We need to have a talk!”

So, I was watching Star Vs. The Forces Evil episode Into The Wand and something caught my attention. Lil’ Chauncey, Moon’s war pig-goat pet thing, was in Star’s memories. She remembers him.

She knows Chauncey died in battle but no specifics on which battle or when. Then we get to The Grandma Room and we see Moon’s tapestry and her poem which I sum it up as: Toffee dun goofed. Toffee is clearly terrified and there have been lots of theories as to why this happened. Most of which tend to be shippy or something else.

But look at Moon’s face. Look at that rage, that pure open hatred. What did he do? What could warrant such open hostility from someone we’ve seen as being so cool and reserved? Then is hit me: Star was alive when this event went down. Because Chauncey died in battle, shown here in this tapestry and Moon is clearly an adult and Star remembers Chauncey. Then I remembered how the royal guards used to babysit Star. Why? Where were the nannies? The caretakers? The royal nurses? They taught her how to fight, how to use a sword and weapons, how to kill an enemy with her bare hands before she ever hit puberty. Why would Queen Butterfly, Mrs. Prim and Proper, allow her only daughter to be cared for and basically raised by guards

Because she felt it was necessary to better protect her young daughter. I’m willing to bet this is Moon unleashing some serious mama bear rage against someone who threatened her very young child. Star was old enough to remember Lil’Chauncey, but perhaps not the attempt on her life or whatever it was Toffee was planning on doing to the royal family. Maybe it was a betrayal on his part since there are so many hints and theories revolving around the two.

(Just as a side note, I am very aware of the Moon/Toffee ship and while I do think it is kind of out there, I also kind of like it too. Unless it ends up being like the Luke/Leia thing like one new major theory proposes. In which case, NOPE.)

I also thought it was strange that Moon and River decided to send their daughter to Earth to better control her powers….without any other supervision except for Glossyrick who they and we all know probably isn’t the best person to be keeping a rein in on Star. It probably had something to do with keeping her from setting the whole kingdom ablaze in glitter and flaming rainbows, but I also feel there was something else to it. While there are no mentions of Toffee after Storm The Castle, Moon is clearly afraid.

I don’t know if we’re doing the right thing River.

Also, for all of Moon’s faults, she loves her daughter more than anything. Star’s safety is paramount to Moon and even the cleaving of her family’s ancestral wand is no where near as important to her as Star’s safety.

Oh, I’m always mad. But I’m happy that your safe.

I love this theory because it explains so much: why Moon acts distant but at the same time is a constant presence in her daughter’s life. Moon maybe trying to do what she can to protect her only child while also living up to the very high and difficult position of being a Queen of an entire…planet? Like, she’s trying her best to be a good parent and Queen even if she doesn’t go about it in a way that Star can respond to.

Also, don’t tell me we aren’t going to learn something new on Monday about Moon. Look at this image I found for Page Turner’s preview. She just looks so tired and so sad. This is a woman whose seen some shit, done some things she’s regretted and probably has a lot of dangerous enemies.

All to protect her only child. At least, that’s my theory until canon will most likely disprove it.

EDIT: OK, so…I am both awed by and grateful for all the likes and re-blogs this post has gotten so BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE! XD

Also, after watching the last few episodes of the season I feel like this sort of at least helps support my theory. There is no proof – yet – I hope – but give what we’ve seen it makes me happy. Moon clearly is worried about Star. She wants her training to progress farther and quicker, there is urgency in her voice and it’s clear that she’s scared. Also, all the magic in the universe is disappearing? Makes me wonder just WHAT that wand even is, or at least what makes it so special if Ludo having half of it means it has negative effects on a universal scale.

Also? Toffee’s picture comes up on the screen with the corn and everything? Like, Moon, pay the frick attention!

Another thing is that while Glossyrick claims to be doing his job to train Star to be a good Queen I still don’t feel…like he’s a good teacher. He plays the vague-advice thing way too much but then he kind of just lets Star do whatever she wants to anyway so…I don’t know if this is the most effective way to train Star since she is still just a young kid and has a hard-enough time paying attention. I don’t know if there is something to it but I don’t like how cavalier he is about things. The final few episodes’ kind of bugged me. Like, dude, this is her child’s future were talking about. She has every right to stick her nose in thank you very much.

But Moon’s fears and the lesson she learns in this episode tug at the heart strings. This woman has to accept that her young daughter is growing up fast, into a universe that is facing some serious peril and Star will undoubtedly have to fight soon enough. Moon is afraid, the fear is palpable and she wants to make certain that nothing can go wrong. She probably does have some suspicions of what’s causing it but she can’t be certain. Also, Eclipsa? Heck yeah is she going to be important given how frequently she’s been name dropped.

Things are getting serious in the universe of the show, Moon is afraid and she’s know that Star is going to end up in the middle of it. For a woman who already has so many huge responsibilities on her shoulders and yet she probably feels powerless to protect her only child.

           Gah! The feels!

alien emoji rating

I really like aliens so I’ll go ahead and rate my little boys

Apple:

He looks cute and kind of nice, this shows that aliens do come in piece, the gradient effect gives a 3 D  S P A C E  P I N B A L L feel which is a nice touch. 4/5. He’s really nice, someone give him live stock for his planet.

Goolge:

I’m not sure Google is aware of the popular conception of aliens, but maybe they know something we don’t???? The colors are flat, something that in most cases is not bad, but this time it is, he seeks intelligent life yet he looks as he has no life at all. 1/5.

Microsoft:

He’s conventionally attractive and happy for some reaon, I’d let him make patterns in my crops, the T H I C C lines are not the best idea but the glow in his eyes are perfect. Not the best desing choices but I can deal with it. 3/5.

Samsung:

Isn’t this the most visually pleasing gradient ever made by human kind? But not for this guy, he looks like he’s dying cuz can’t breath our oxygen, poor fellow, also his face looks strange, he might as well be Mr. Burns. 3/5. Looks really smug and I bet this kid thinks he’s the smartest guy in the class.

LG:

Straight out of the uncanny valley, the face you’d expect to see from a badly written creepypasta edited over an old photo that’s supposed to possess you, looks scary, creepy and offsetting but not in the nice way aliens are supposed to look. Please deport him to his planet. 0/5. Save your children from LG cellphones.

HTC:

Look at this guy, like LOOK at This gUY!! His cute smile, this lime boy looks so mischievous, probably on space Santa’s naughty children list. The lines, the colors and the E D G E S are so pleasing to the eyes. 5/5. I’d let this guy invade my planet any day and eradicate all sentient matter without hesitation.

Facebook:

He’s scary, creepy and offsetting in the nice way aliens are supposed to be, the soulless eyes and the grey color blend so nice together making him intimidating and also hypnotizing. 5/5. Please take me away with you and use me as a guinea pig for your nefastus plots.

Messenger:

The colors looks like he’s from a flash animation and his face of utter disgust makes him unpleasant, I’ll take him with my leader because I don’t wanna deal with him. 3/5. You might be ugly, but you’re the designated emoji for most of my chats.

Twitter:

He’s minimalistic and cute, this grey buddy is my friend, please hug him and treat him nicely, he just want diplomatic relations with our planet, give him love and natural resources, he deserves them. 4/5.

Mozilla:

This guy is not an alien, he’s a light outlet. He’s nice and is probably that one cousin they sit with you on family gatherings, not because you get along, but because they want you to keep him from doing something stupid like breaking a bowl or causing a nuclear holocaust. 2/5. Sorry Kyle, I’m not your baby sister.

Favorite Fanfics Forever

Guys. Look at that alliteration in my title, it is definitely intentional, I hope you appreciate it as much as I do.

Anyway, I have listed my all time favorite Bucky x Reader fanfics that have accumulated since my ascension into the Marvel fandom and the lovely authors accompanying them. This list had twenty fics, I scaled it down to six. Boom.

Story: Heart On the Line

Summary: (Smut, phone sex, NSFW) You and Bucky had your differences in college, but now you need a place to stay and he needs a roommate, and in order to make ends meet, you two start a phone sex line together.

Why I love it: It is clever, it is funny, it is fascinating, and it draws you in. Take a look at the first chapter, you’ll see what I mean.

Author: @buckysbackpackbuckle - An omni shipper, and Team Iron Man, Dahlia is one of the most creative forces here on tumblr, if you ever need a good read, and you’re craving smut worth your time, she is definitely someone you should follow and extend your support too. Not only is she lovely, she is brutally honest, opinionated, and absolutely stunning.

Dahlia’s Masterlist (Make sure to check out Heavy and Hollow, it’s another fave, and I have yet to read something that will ever top it.)

Story: Catch Me

Summary: In which a bet leads Bucky to have to catch you every day for a week, no matter what.

Why I love it: It is so well thought out, the premise of the story, Reader’s exasperating tendencies, and Bucky’s equally exasperating antics are so entertaining it cheered me up on my lowest day.

Author: @buckyywiththegoodhair - A total babe and a proud feminist that doesn’t let dramatic anons bother her, she is one of the best authors on here, she reblogs the funniest, and most accurate nonmarvel posts on here, and reblogs some of the best marvel related stuff. She is witty, kind, superbly helpful and one of my all time faves!

Check out her masterlist here and her tips for first-time writers here.
