Hey ‘Lijah.“ You smiled as you noted your boyfriend walking into your room as you were doing some essay work.

"Hello love, how was college today?" He asked as he sat down behind you on your bed. You sighed spinning around in your chair to face him,

"Alright I guess, it’s college."

But can you imagine Draco Malfoy’s diary?

First Year

Potter rejected my offer of friendship so I’ve decided he is now my arch-nemesis. I hate him. Why doesn’t he like me?

Second Year

I made Potter think I opened the chamber of secrets so he’d pay more attention to me. It hasn’t worked but Crabbe and Goyle have been acting strange lately.

Third Year

A hippogriff attacked me. Granger punched me. And Potter hit me with a patronus. My father will hear about this. How can Potter cast a patronus anyway? He must be really good at

Fourth Year

I think Potter liked the Potter Stinks badges. He’s probably going to ask me to the Yule ball.

.

.

.

He asked a girl.

Fifth Year

Potter didn’t seem impressed by my prefect status so I joined the Inquisitorial Squad as well. So far, no comment.

What’s so good about Cho Chang anyway?

Sixth Year

Ginny fucking Weasley. You’ve got to be kidding me. He’s supposed to be stalking me.

He’s supposed to have stopped me by now.

Seventh Year

I knew it was him. I knew.

I hope he wins.

  • Writers: "I don't know why people like the villain, they're evil and ruthless, you're not supposed to like them."
  • *meanwhile during casting*
  • Writers: "Alright everyone, you know how this works, I need you to find me the hottest mofo you got. Think 'so crazy that I wanna kill you but I also gonna wanna bone.'"
26 Reminders for Going to School Like a Badass

1. Your attitude dictates your experience, so start finding things to get psyched about.

2. Stock up on healthy snacks in your house!!! You’ll be glad you did when the study-munchies roll around (and they always do).

3. Invest in a good planner. Especially if you take part in multiple extra-curriculars, I can’t stress how helpful it is having a place to check back on deadlines and big events.

4. Write down all your teachers’ names and emails as soon as you get them, so you’re not searching for them when you’re absent.

5. No one is having as much fun as their snapchat story makes it seem.

6. Don’t believe what your peers tell you about tests they take before you, study how much YOU need to.

7. Be nice to your math teacher. Partial credit on math problems might save your grade.

8. Don’t throw out syllabuses/first day handouts!!!! Theres a good chance they have information on the late policy and a gazillion other helpful things.

9. In fact, try to hold on to as many papers as you can for when finals inevitably attack.

10. No one knows you wore those jeans yesterday.

11. Be conscious of how you smell. Don’t be B.O. kid, but also try not to suffocate your lab partner with the scent of artificial fruit/flowers.

12. That cookie in the cafeteria is probably not worth 95 cents. Pack snacks from home to resist overpriced school treats.

13. If you’re carrying around a travel mug of coffee, people will usually leave you alone.

14. Don’t spend more time planning your study schedule than actually studying. Just get your books out and do it.

15. Never underestimate the amount of motivation you can get from watching Legally Blonde (movie or musical).

16. Try to attend at least one school sporting event per season, even if thats not really your scene. Some teachers even offer extra credit for going to big games!

17. Don’t be that kid that asks the teacher when you’re getting your tests back. They have like a gazillion to grade. You’ll get them when they’re done.

18. Have a pump-up playlist for the ride to school and the walk to your first class. Nothing feels more badass than walking through crowded hallways while listening to Halsey’s “New Americana”.

19. Set up a back-up study zone for when you need a change of pace.

20. Don’t put off creative projects because you think they’ll be less time consuming. There’s nothing worse than glitter gluing a scale model of the U.S. Senate at 3 AM because you thought it would be quick and easy.

21. That extra 10 minutes of sleep is not worth the risk of oversleeping completely. Get up, splash your face with some cold water, and get this show on the road.

22. Find a school inspiration, whether it be a really hardworking friend or a studyblr you follow. Check their progress whenever you need motivation.

23. If someone only ever talks to you when they need to copy the homework, they’re using. Don’t indulge them.

24. Doing your own work is so SO important. Plagiarism can destroy careers.

25. Creative outlets can be so refreshing, like a diary, a private tumblr, a sketchbook, whatever floats your boat.

26. When all else fails, remember how lucky you are to be getting an education. School isn’t a punishment, its an opportunity for you to create a kick-ass foundation for the rest of your life.

Ballet dancers in the Kibera neighborhood of Nairobi, Kenya one of biggest slums in Africa. The ballerinas (ballerinos) are young students who study dance for fun, made possible through a program run by U.K.-based charity Anno’s Africa, which provides alternative arts education to over 800 children in Kenya. The classes are taught by Mike Wamaya previously worked as a dancer throughout Europe.  His classes focus on both the physical and mental well-being, that promotes confidence-building.  The children feel and see how much they can accomplish if someone gives them the chance, in turn improves their self-esteem and makes them stronger in their daily life.

Writing is Hard, part 6: SEX

Summary: Dean and the reader have sex. Finally. FINALLY.

Read Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5

Warning: Smut

Word Count: 4250ish

A/N: This is all written with love for fan fic. I’m teasing, not putting it down in any way. And the quotes are from my own Faking It series, in case anyone was curious. Hope you enjoy! (Sorry, tag list is closed!) XOXO

“You knew he didn’t quite understand why you found it so hot, but Dean had never seen himself leaning over the engine in a tight, sweaty t-shirt, hands and forearms covered in grease as he worked.”

Dean’s outside working on the Impala, and you’re reading fics about just that. Apparently, Dean working on the Impala is the hottest thing to ever grace the fandom (aside from his lips…and his green eyes…and his cocky swagger that is really just hiding adorable and unnecessary insecurity…and Jesus, these people are thorough), and you’re curious. In your actual experience with Dean, working on the Impala is just a nuisance. You have to wait longer to get on the road, Dean takes forever to scrub himself clean afterward, and for the next few hours, everything smells like metal and oil covered up by motel soap. Why do people find that so hot?

What is a tarot journal?

A tarot journal is a tool you can use to keep a record of all of your personal readings among other things such as; tarot study, tarot tips and tricks, your personal progress as a reader, and much more.

What are a few of the benefits of tarot journaling?

  • Card stalkers. You know, those cards that seem to follow you around for weeks, popping up in almost every reading you do for yourself. These cards are trying to tell you something important but can all too often go unnoticed. Tarot journaling helps to provide a record for yourself so you can look back and see when and where these cards pop up for you. You can go back and read your interpretations of the card in each individual reading and see if there are any patterns to your “stalker card’s” message.
  • Learning and growing as a reader. For some, the best way to learn is through repetition. Tarot journaling can help with this by allowing you to hand write the meaning of each card in your deck as they appear in your personal readings. Over time this will help the cards definitions to stick in your mind.
  • Taking an in depth look. Too often when we do tarot readings for ourselves, we take a quick glance at the cards, think we know what message is coming through, and then move onto the next thing. Tarot journaling requires the reader to slow down during a reading. Taking the time to write down our interpretations requires us to give more thought to what we are writing down. This will help you to catch any connections or messages that you might have missed by quickly glancing at the cards that came up.
  • Personal growth. Almost like a diary, you can look back and see how far you have come. Some of your older readings may make you want to cringe with embarrassment but one thing is for certain, you will have a clear map of your progress in both your tarot reading abilities and your personal life.
  • Trying out new tarot tricks. Did they work well? Did they not work well? Tarot journaling will help you to keep track of what does and does not work for you as a reader.
  • Measuring your accuracy as a reader. Tarot journaling will give you a record to look back on. After you have allowed some time to pass, take a look back at your tarot journal to see what parts of your reading came to pass and what parts turned out to be inaccurate.
  • Therapy. Tarot journaling allows you to form that conversation and connection with yourself just as you would with a client. Try not to take a cold approach to your tarot journaling and allow yourself to emotionally and spiritually connect to what you are writing down.
  • You can go back and add things as your reading starts to play out. Maybe something that came up in your reading doesn’t make sense in the moment but does later on. Tarot journaling allows you to go back and add any connections that may come up for you after the reading has already been done.

What you need:

  • A journal or notebook of any kind
  • Something to write with
  • Your deck or card app
  • A quiet work space
  • And you

What to include in your tarot journal:

  • Your question to the tarot
  • The deck you used to do the reading
  • The date you did the reading
  • The name of the spread used
  • A picture or drawing of the spread
  • The cards that came up and your interpretation of them.
  • Connect the cards to your real life situation. Don’t just go by book definition alone. Jotting down the book definition is okay but in addition, write down your connection to the cards that come up. How do the cards fit into YOUR unique story?
  • A review of your reading after some time has passed may help you to see where you misinterpreted and where you were spot on.
  • Your feelings and thoughts.
  • Imagery. What do you think, see, and feel when you look at the cards that came up in your reading?
  • Get creative. Stickers, post its, highlighters, art work, collages, ect…
  • If you are new to tarot and have not yet memorized the meanings of all 78 cards, try writing your intuitive version of the reading and then journal the reading again based off the book definitions. How do the two interpretations line up with each other?

Happy journaling sunshines. I hope you love tarot journaling as much as I do!!

I really wanted to try some new brushes I got recently but working without lineart is actually a LOT harder than I thought it would be… anyway cute little Keith

Language learning resolutions

Although I study Korean, the resolutions I’m making are appropriate to people learning any language. I thought I’d post them as I think some of them might be quite helpful for anyone looking to make language related new-years resolutions, or just how to better themselves at language learning in the new year. These are tips and tricks that can help you through out the whole year - not just for the first few days of January!

1) Learn 10 new words every day
If you feel like 10 is too much go for 5 or even just one, whichever fits you and your pace of learning best - one is still better than none, and hey, by the end of the year that’s a whole new 365 words you now know in your target language - progress!

2) Set your study time

Personally, I’m going to try for an hour a day just sitting down and straight learning, set a day each week, or a time each day and just sit down and get to it, you could do 5 hours a week, 2 hours  a week, 2 hours a day even. Remember, just do what fits best with you and your schedule - you don’t want to overwork, but then you also don’t want to be wasting time that could come in useful for your learning progress.

3) Keep a diary
Keeping a diary sounds like a bit of an odd one, but no, I don’t mean simply writing down how much work you’ve done or what you’ve learnt, instead, keep a diary in which you write down what you did that day- your thoughts, feelings, and anything else you might put in an every day diary entry, but write in your target language, it will give you a chance to practice using the language every day, even with things you may not necessarily use in day to day conversation.

4) Test yourself

Again, match this one to how fast you’re wanting to progress, but I recommend testing yourself what you learnt that week, or that month or even just completing some tasks. You could do this by printing off worksheets you can find online or buying a workbook!

5) Vary your learning

This is more of a personal one for me than anything, but if you have the time to learn another language or subject, throw that in there too, for me, I’m going to do an hour a day of Korean, and an hour a week of Chinese, but make sure to plan this well as you don’t want to be getting behind on subjects you may have exams in.

6) Plan

I’m being serious, you have to plan. I really can’t stress this enough, whether you wake up early Monday morning to plan your entire week or just make a habit of planning for the following day every night - This is really going to help you out.

7) Re-evaluate your resoluions monthly
Yes, you heard me right - re-evaluate your resolutions. Change them. You may think that if you’ve made a resolution you have to stick to it but your main resolution should be to reach your goal (and we’ll get onto that in just a minute). At the start of every month, look at the main events coming up, if you have a lot of events or exams then cut down your language hours, make less goals for the end of that month and plan it to suit you - you’ll never achieve your goals if you’re over stressed and over working yourself.

8) Goals

Set one main goal for your language by the end of the year, that’s the main one you want to achieve - then set smaller ones for the end of each month that will get you there, then more for each week. This breaks down your goals and makes them more easily obtainable.

So those are my resolutions guys! I hope they were helpful to you all!!! <3

Lance keeps a very in depth journal of his thoughts and feelings. It includes dates, ages, times, and sometimes context snippets to help him remember. He does this in hopes that all his insecurities get transferred from himself to his little leather bound book. It usually only works for a few minutes before he just gets washed over with his feelings again. At home, he’d gradually stopped using it after he’d been getting promoted in the garrison, but he still took it everywhere he went. He’s realized that soon after becoming a paladin, he started writing in it again. He didn’t realize how bad it became until he wet from once every few days, to every day, to multiple times for the day.

He writes in it after a particular hard day with Voltron, but Pidge finds him writing in it while alone int he training room and makes fun of him for keeping a diary. Lance feels embarrassed, so he quits it cold turkey. Soon he’s itching to write in it ll the time but stops himself. He stays up all night more often, paces his room more often, works alone in the training room. He’s health starts to deteriorate and no one really notices. Hunk asks a few ‘are you okay’s?’, but lance just pastes on a fake smile and sends him on his way. The stress of not writing and getting his feelings down on paper ends up affecting him on a mission and he gets badly hurt trying to protect the other paladins.

He wants to recover on his own, much against Coran’s and Allura’s wishes. He barely makes it to his room and passes out. Shiro and Keith come to makes sure he’s okay because Shiro’s the leader and Keith feels bad for snapping at Lance pre mission. They find him knocked out. Lance’s journal is open on the headboard. Shiro looks it over and Keith just thinks it’s dumb scribbles. The words are scratched along the 2 pages in circles, ovals and spirals. The pencil is almost down to nothing. Shiro an only make out a few words here and there. ‘I’, ‘help’, ‘can’t’, ‘worthless’, and ‘weak’ make the most appearances.

Shiro closes the book and flips it in his hands. There’s no title. The leather is worn and the pages are old. Keith takes it from him and opens it. He flips a few pages scanning it. Shiro tries to take it back. He reasons that it’s Lance’s property, but Keith reasons that it was left open. Keith stops fighting against Shiro and looks at him with wide eyes. He hands the book over and Shiro glances over the page in confusion. He flips that page back then forward. Pages and pages of Lance’s writing. It looked much different to the page that was left open. Very elegant and slow strokes across the papers of a book filled with words that Shiro cursed himself for not realizing sooner.

Lance had felt inferior to them, like he didn’t belong. He’d been feeling that way for weeks because of how they treated him. How they joked about him. How they pushed him off to the side for their own missions. He knew Keith was feeling the same way. They had been unconsciously pushing him away lately. Shiro had been noticing that Lance spent more time alone with the Blue Lion instead of having meals with them or training with them.

“Sh-shiro, I- How did we not see this?” Keith hisses, guilt dripping from his words.

“Lance, obviously has had experience with putting on an act. We’ll help him. We’ll all help him. We have to.”

But that’s just how it is, that’s how life works. You don’t get to have the best of both worlds. You have to determine what’s important. You have to choose what takes priority in your life, and if you don’t then the decision is made for you.
—  Something I’m learning @amey-winehouse
16 things I learned while being 16
1. You are a lot stronger than you think you are.
2. Breathe. No matter how bad you feel right now, no day lasts longer than 24 hours.
3. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to be the best version of yourself.
4. Boys aren’t as scary as you think they are.
5. Going to the movies or shopping alone is not something you have to avoid at all costs but rather a great thing to do during your me time.
6. Plan your next steps ahead especially your near future whether it’s looking at unis, apply for internships, book flights etc.
7. Take your time. If you feel like you pushed yourself too far into a relationship for example it’s okay to admit to yourself that you weren’t ready. There are plenty of options later in life.
8. People don’t care about your pimples or your unwashed hair. Sometimes we tend to think that everyone’s thoughts are about us, which is luckily not the case.
9. Become the person you are instead of trying to change yourself for the sake of family members or friends.
10. Having a diary or occasionally writing letters to your future self can reduce your stress level and who doesn’t like reading letters from your past self?
11. Relationships aren’t a necessity. If you never dated, kissed, or were in a relationship with someone, that’s okay. It doesn’t make you less valuable or weird trust me.
12. Tell your loved ones how much you appreciate their existence, they won’t be here forever.
13. Grades aren’t everything. Yes they pretty much determine your future but one failed test won’t destroy everything you worked so hard for.
14. Artsy stuff is amazing. Read books which inspire you or take pictures of the things you love just to put them on your walls afterwords.
15. You can do everything as long as you are passionate about it and willing to work hard.
16. Live. You have your entire life in front of you and the world offers you endless possibilities.

Why you should appreciate Nico Yazawa as a character

Nico is my favorite character in Love Live, but she’s hated a lot for misunderstandings. In the anime Nico’s introduced as a third year who is sending Honoka and her friends hate and telling them to give up. I think this is where most people start to write her off as being mean or even just a joke character, which only progresses more when the girls finally do interact with her. She does the “Nico Nico Nii” thing, wants to become the leader of the group and says she’s better than everyone else. This is where a lot of people think she’s annoying, and this is usually the only parts of her personality they point out even though there’s SO MUCH more to her.
We get some backstory later. She had always dreamed of being an idol, however her group failed and the people who joined quit on her. Going back to how she was introduced to us as being mean to the μ’s girls, it’s obvious Nico sees herself in Honoka. Blindly optimistic and hoping for the best, and thinking that she really can become an idol, and Nico thinks that this isn’t possible. Nico failed once before, she doesn’t wanna see it happen again, and being unable to confront her feelings she tells them to give up. She wants to keep Honoka safe and doesn’t want Honoka to lose friends while chasing a hopeless dream. Nico is really shown in this moment to be a truly insecure character who hides behind an over confident attitude because she’s unable to express how she truly feels towards the μ’s girls, and accept them as friends and not just something temporary. You may say, “Well that’s not true! She told her family μ’s were the backup dancers, that proves she’s self centered!” Consider this: in her first year, Nico started an idol group and was hopeful for a positive outcome, so of course she told her family. She would have told them she was an idol, and her siblings would be proud and impressed by her, how could she tell them she failed? So Nico doesn’t, she continues the lie because she has no other choice, she even looks after her siblings on her own most nights. She was afraid of letting them down and not being the impressive older sister they saw her as, so she said μ’s were her backup dancers. At the end of the episode, however, she tells her siblings she’s retiring and joining μ’s. In that moment, Nico accepts them as her friends, her true friends, who won’t abandon her like how she’s been abandoned before.
Now maybe you’re still not convinced Nico is insecure, which is fine, but let’s go back to the more comedic parts of this episode. The parts where Nico is running from the girls and avoiding having them see what she’s doing, she’s trying to hide where and how she lives. Nico’s family is poor, and Nico acts like she’s the best even though she doesn’t come from the best, and her friends might judge her as well. This is a very obvious sign of insecurity, she wants the girls to think she’s rich and all, which is not the case. In one of her school idol diaries, she talks about how she wishes she could invite her friends over but doesn’t want them to judge her (Nico was abandoned by her friends when she initially started an idol group, which is why she’s so emotionally guarded). She takes care of her siblings most nights on her own, because her mom is working. She is caring and tries so hard for her family.
It took her a while to accept that the μ’s girls were her dear friends who wouldn’t leave her side, and it’s important to note Nico has dealt with more than just the loss of her friends. It said in Nico’s school idol diary that her father passed away when she was young. It also says in the school idol diary that her father made the “Nico Nico Nii” thing and never wanted her to stop smiling. She wanted to be an idol so her smile can reach her late father.
Nico is afraid of losing people dear to her, she puts on a smile and confident attitude even if it’s not always true. Nico cares for every girl in μ’s, she even wanted them to continue chasing their dreams after the third years graduate because she wanted the best for them, and wanted them to continue to grow and be happy even if it was without her, even if she wasn’t apart of it. Yet, she’s considered selfish, when Nico has lost so much and puts in so much effort into being an idol, and into her friends happiness.
Nico works hard, and always has. She deserves to be appreciated and loved, she wants the best for everyone no matter what.
TLDR (even though you should), Nico is insecure and hides it behind her idol persona, strives for the best no matter what, and is selfless and caring. I’m proud to call Nico my best girl, I’m proud of her and how far she’s come to achieve her dreams, with her friends by her side. Thank you Nico.
