It really is all about the money. Gillian was better at hiding it before but now it seems to be crumbling down on her.

I don´t know if I agree with that.

I think that for GA the most important is her career for the time being. Perhaps she is afraid to get older, to be forgotten, not offered the roles she wants and then I think she is very focused on getting the Oscar and the rest of the statues. In fact, I think she is willing to do very much for her career. And by that she is very eager to be a part of the snob elite in London. It has actually become the most important thing for her.

PSA: I’ve been getting several anons and submissions recently and I want to thank you and say I’m not ignoring you… or at least, not ignoring you, personally. I just think there’s limited contribution I can make if larries are going to do the rainbow flag lie every night of Harry’s tour. I could schedule a reblog of the evidence in their own words every night, but what good would that really do?

Further, I’m really not an equal opportunity blogger; I’m here for Louis. I’m not following Harry’s tour or the events of his career other than what flows back to my dash eventually. So I’m simply not a good resource for debunking or examining claims. I recommend you to the comparatively vast network of harrie antis who really are doing this work, and which I reblog if I am so lucky as to see it.

Finally, what I’m mostly concerned with - after cultivating my fannish experience so I don’t have to vet every Louis blog and find out they’re larries (9/10 times) - is that larries have minimal impact on the lives of these men. And if Harry is comfortable in his relationship with Camille and she is unswayed by the hate, if Louis is still out there repping his little lad and talking about Amsterdam with Eleanor, and Freddie is growing up with bags under his eyes, I’m watching the self soothing go down with fewer notes each time and popping bottles. As thelarrative just said, Louis is one floral suit away from a Camille Rowe date out of the closet. What a victory is larrie in 2017.

Oh, one more thing. Could you not… Like… Lie about stuff in anon messages to me? I’ve operated for nearly two years in good faith that anons bring sourced information that I can respond to without having to investigate everything thoroughly myself, and I hate to end that informal contract bc of someone else trolling or being dishonest.

there were a lot of references in the new video, did you catch them all? let’s take a look.

1. nils sjoberg

remember that time she wrote a song with calvin harris but used a different name? this is that name, on one of the gravestones. after releasing that she had actually written the summer hit “this is what you came for,” calvin harris, among others, threw a fit on twitter - even though it had been agreed that if calvin and taylor broke up, she could express that she had written the song.

2. the out of the woods dress

this blue dress probably looks familiar! it’s the same one she wore in the out of the woods music video, the last music video of the 1989 era. this poses the same frantic question, are we out of the woods yet? as this grave-digging taylor suggests, not yet.

3. here lies 2014 met gala taylor

at first glance, it just looks like the taylor from before laying there, but after pausing it and going back, one realizes that isn’t zombie taylor, rather 2014 met gala taylor. 2014 would have been the start of the 1989 era, and the out of the woods video was the end of it, thus: by the end of 1989 era, she was ready to “bury” it.

4. the dollar bill

if you look just next to taylor’s shoulder, you can see a good ole george washington. one single dollar bill. is this a reference to taylor’s sexual assault trial recently, and the one dollar she won then? most likely, because if you go to other shots of her in the tub that aren’t directly above her, the dollar bill isn’t there, meaning it was edited in later, which would explain how it got there so late in the game. it stands for the simple victories everyone else gets to celebrate, while she does the same things and gets flack for it.

5. et tu brute

a famous line from shakespeare’s julius caeser, “et tu, brute” means “and you, brute?” right as marcus brutus lands the fatal blow in julius caeser’s, his once-friend’s back. this is a metaphor for all the people that taylor thought she could trust, before they turned around and trashed her name.

6. the tea

probably pretty simple to grasp - the tea is hot. alternatively, she, the snake in the video, gets to serve the tea this time around, or, she gets to lay down her side of the story.

7. car crash + paparazzi

did you see what happened here, at face value? taylor was in an expensive vehicle that got in a head-on crash, but everyone just stood back and took pictures, instead of rushing over to help. is this a reference to all the times that everyone stood back, took pictures, and laughed at her when she was beaten down? yes.

8. the grammy

the grammy blends in with the gold of the car and her outfit, so it’s pretty easy to miss, but there it is, in her hand, even though the car crashed. perhaps the future is being predicted?

9. the birdcage + leg tattoo

look closely at taylor’s leg, and you can see what looks to be a snake tattooed there. not to mention, here she is entertaining in a birdcage, which is guarded. she’s trying to have fun in this prison, biting her tongue, being the girl everyone wants, but she longs to be let free.

10. robbing a bank/stream co., blind for love

besides getting major harley quinn vibes, what else do we notice here? taylor swift robbing a vault, which says “stream company.” remember that time that taylor wrote an open letter to apple music and called her money hungry, even though she was taking her music off to benefit poorer artists? yes, we do. this is what she’s referencing here. also, her shirt says “blind for love” which makes sense, because she frequently refers to herself as a hopeless romantic, someone who opens theirselves up for love, even if it means getting hurt.

11. the squad

without explaining anything else, this scene can be described as a crowd of blank faced people, staring at taylor swift, who stands upon a stage looking menacing, and impressing one message upon the crowd: u, squad. it’s reminiscent of all the times people said taylor swift was over, because her friends, fans, or sales were fake or temporary. this is like a visual representation of the comments people made about taylor forcing people to do things for her to create the image she desired.

12. fake friends

and here we have the mannequins of the girls from the prior scene, chopped up. this one is pretty straight forward, these “friends” that taylor thought she had sometimes turned out to be more fickle and “fake” than she thought. also, can we talk about how taylor’s red boots are reminiscent of kinky boots? because yes.

13. the dancers, i heart ts

before taylor enters the room, the dancers are goofing around, but the second she comes in, the jump to attention, and rip off their jackets to reveal shirts that say “i heart ts.” it’s a throwback to when tom hiddleston wore a shirt with the same message on the fourth of july in 2016, and everyone said that she had forced him to wear it. it’s the same thing as before with the squad - the world decided that she had forced all these people to love her, not that they actually did.

14. the fight for glory

every time you pause this video, you come across a different taylor. squirrel pajamas wanegbt taylor, 2015 bbma’s taylor, 2014 acm’s taylor, wanegbt red tour taylor, 2016 new years rockin’ eve taylor, sparkly guitar fearless tour taylor, bleachella taylor, ballerina shake it off taylor, 2016 vma’s taylor… the list goes on and on. here, you can see them all fighting and clawing, trying to stand on top. it reminds me of “i don’t like your kingdom keys, they once belonged to me,” and the parallels between long live and new romantics in that line alone. all those times, she thought she’d made it to a point in her career where she could be respected as much as other artists in her tier, only to harshly realize she was going to get her name ran through the mud for doing the same thing as everyone else. the fight for glory is steep, and unfair.

15. junior jewels

looks familiar right? not quite! it is the same theme of the shirt, but look closely at the signatures - they’re signatures of actual people this time around. names like ed, selena, este, lena, blake, and ryan, among others, can be seen on her shirt, representing the true friends that stuck with her through her reputation being bashed.

16. “SHUT UP!”

here, all the different versions of taylor are repeating things that the media or other celebrities had said about her, until finally 2009 vma’s taylor repeated the same thing that 2017 taylor said in an instagram post - “i’d very much like to be excluded from this narrative.” the entire time, you can hear camera shutters going off and people chatting, presumably the rest of the world watching as she got torn apart. when vma’s taylor makes this final statement, all the other taylor’s, as well as what sounds to be an entire off-screen crowd, yell “SHUT UP” before the screen goes black. this is a powerful image, and it’s supposed to be. all the times she suffered, and people told her that she was overreacting, faking it, or doing it for publicity. if you feel remorse for seeing young taylor getting yelled at, or sorrow for the taylors falling when she said “because she’s dead,” you’re doing it right.

nothing in this video was an accident.

if you’re angry at taylor for this video exposing things you said about her, or you’re repeating any of the words the versions of herself said at the end, you’re proving her point. her reputation was destroyed because people made a sport of making fun of her. and now, as taylor said, there will be no explanation, just reputation.

what is BPD?

Even though I have a blog about BPD, a lot of people have a lot of doubts about it (about the symptoms, terms, etc). So here is a post about BPD and, please, if you are neurotypical don’t comment “wow I have it” just because you read my post.

  • Borderline Personality Disorder is diagnosed when there is a persistent pattern of unstable interpersonal relationships, mood and self-image, as well as distinct impulsive behaviour, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts. These difficulties are indicated by five (or more) of the following:
  1. frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.

  2. a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterised by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.

  3. identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.

  4. impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g. spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating). This does not include suicidal or self-harming behaviour.

  5. recurrent suicidal behaviour, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behaviour.

  6. affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood - intense feelings that can last from a few hours to a few days.

  7. chronic feelings of emptiness.

  8. inappropriate intense anger or difficulty controlling anger.

  9. transient, stress-related paranoid ideas or severe dissociative symptoms.

What is FP?

FP means, for someone who has BPD, favorite person. It is a term that refers to the person you most idealize, usually it is someone you have romantic feelings for, but it can be a friend, fictional character, someone in your family, etc. Not everyone who has BPD has a FP, but it is something common. Having a FP is not something beautiful and shouldn’t be romantized, your mood starts depending on that person, on the way they talk to you, you have a lot of mental breakdowns when they’re gone and it’s something that puts you in risk, because you’re willing to do basically anything for that person.

What is “split”?

Splitting is the action of feeling extremely angry at someone who you usually idealize, for example, your fp (but it doesn’t have to be necessarily your fp). Someone who suffers from BPD usually has black and white thinking or feeling, loving or hating someone, doing something all the time or not at all, basically no harlf term. When someone splits, it means that they were from a extreme to another about their feelings to someone. It can happen for big and important reasons, when someone actually does a serious mistake or it can happen when someone does a “small” mistake and we react extremely, due to BPD hypersensitivity.

What is dissociation?

That’s what Wikipedia says: “In psychology, dissociation is any of a wide array of experiences from mild detachment from immediate surroundings to more severe detachment from physical and emotional experience. The major characteristic of all dissociative phenomena involves a detachment from reality, rather than a loss of reality as in psychosis.”. Dissociation is the match of despersonalization (“Depersonalization can consist of a detachment within the self regarding one’s mind or body, or being a detached observer of oneself. Subjects feel they have changed and that the world has become vague, dreamlike, less real, or lacking in significance. It can be a disturbing experience. Chronic depersonalization refers to depersonalization-derealization disorder, which is classified by the DSM-5 as a dissociative disorder.”) and derealization (“Derealization is an alteration in the perception or experience of the external world so that it seems unreal. Other symptoms include feeling as though one’s environment is lacking in spontaneity, emotional colouring, and depth. It is a dissociative symptom of many conditions.”). Basically, it is feeling like YOU are not real + the WORLD is not real. Okay, I’m not sure about what I’m going to say now, please someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that there a lot of dissociative disorders, but in BPD people usually suffer just from dissociative symptoms.

Self-Harm?

Self-harm is when you intentionally hurt yourself. Okay, but why? Some people self-harm to relief the pain, a lot of people with BPD also relate they self-harm to feel real during dissociative episodes or to feel something when the emptiness sensations are acting out. For some people, self-harm is when you hurt your body tissue, for example, cutting or scratching yourself, but, personally, in my opinion, thre are different ways or expressing self-harm before it becomes something extreme, for example, starving yourself, triggering yourself, doing something you don’t want to just because you “deserve it”, etc.

“People with BPD are always abusive.”

That’s absolutely not true. A lot of websites make articles about BPD and, because of a lack of information, they mention we are abusive and things like that. The truth is that no one is automatically abusive JUST because their mental illnesses. Abuse is something related to someone’s behavior, regardless if they’re mentally ill or not. “Okay, so why a lot of people say BPD makes someone abusive?” Maybe it’s because PDs are not a very discussed topic and people are always afraid of the unkown, so it’s better if they just judge us. Also, maybe because people with BPD are often seen as “attention seekers”, which is not something bad, in my opinion, because everyone should receive enough attention, since they’re not using bad mechanisms to get it.

About some other symptoms

Mood swings happen when someone goes to an emotion to another. For someone who has BPD, it happens a lot of times during the day. For example, if you got a friend and they have BPD they can talk about suicide and how hopeless they feel and a few hours or minutes later they can talk about future plans and how excited they are about things. It impacts our affective instability too, so sometimes we get lost thinking if we like someone or not. We can easily “get tired” of someone and then becoming totally dependent on them after some time. Our instability also impacts our sense of self, sometimes it makes us question even if we are real (going back to the dissociation aspect). That’s why is so hard for us to do things like choosing a career, because today I can feel like becoming an actress and then tomorrow I want to be a doctor. Our decisions and moods are constantly changing. Our fear of abandonment controls our lives, we can do things that we don’t even want to just to have someone by our sides. Also, some people with BPD can get too clingy or too distant to someone they love, clingy to avoid the abandonment and distant because of a “leave them before they leave me” thought. That’s why our relationships are very unstable.Compulsion and impulsivity is a form of expressing our confused feelings, like if we need something to rely on. We can drink too much, eat too much, waste too much money, etc. It can happens for a lot of reasons, for example, to fill the feelings of emptiness or to avoid a breakdown, specially when someone leaves.

Quiet and explosive borderlines

Explosive borderline is someone who is the “classical” borderline. They will act out, they may yell at people, they may get involved in fights and etc. Someone who is a quiet borderline will act in, holding their pain agaisnt themselves, for example, with the self-harm. They may not usually yell at people or get involved in fights, but, instead, they will do terrible things with themselves. There is not a “worse or better type of borderline”, they’re just different types. We all suffer a lot.

Sorry if my grammar wasn’t very correct. English is not my native language. I hope it was a helpful post for some help here on tumblr.
Stay strong, borderline community!

t*ylor sw*ft is annoying as hell.. but you have to admit that she really mastered the marketing and PR game here. for a decade, she played as “america’s sweetheart.” from being country girl next door to capitalism’s fave pop machine. like throughout her discography, she has always presented herself as the victim in all her relationships and negative situations which in turn, successfully convinced the general public that she is wholesome.. especially the fact she hasn’t used profanity in many of her songs or even in public. it also helps she has never expressed her stance in politics. thanks to that, she has presented herself as a family-friendly pop superstar. and because she managed to keep up with that image for a decade, she can now literally drag or expose herself and the general public won’t bat an eye because she has successfully established that reputation that she is “pure” even when she out here showing the world that there is truth to her negative reputation and she is aware of it. as much as i hate to admit it, she has not only transitioned successfully from “country” to the widely-received pop genre but she has managed to create a pop career with longevity and being bulletproof to negative PR. like not every pop superstar can say to the world they’re a shitty human being and get away with it but taylor and her team managed to successfully do it

“You know, I’ll toot my own horn. I have become a real actor. I’m capable of good work. And I think, while my career is fucking great for an Asian actor, I haven’t been given the chance to do all that I can. And I feel like that instinct has something to do with my color. But yeah, in the business, I feel like I could do [more]. I feel like I’m starting to finally get good at acting and I really would like to do more challenging stuff. I think every five years or so I get really bummed out and want to quit.” — John Cho

Taylor Swift, sis...

Okay.

So Taylor’s new song is called “Look What You Made Me Do” and it’s some sort of retaliation to Kim and Kayne for exposing her for lying about Kayne’s song “Famous”. In the video she is apparently hitting back at those who criticises her as if she hasn’t done anything wrong.

Few things: 1. No one made you do anything. YOU made the choice to lie to everyone about letting Kayne use your name

2. Again the title: Look what we made her do. She’s blaming us. She’s blaming the fact that we saw behind the PR curtain of the sweet innocent white girl who can do no wrong that you have used to build your career and saw as Katy Perry called her “The Regina George”. Instead of taking responsibility for her bullshit actions, she is still trying to play the victim.

3. How you gonna make a video about not playing the victim while playing the victim??

4. The bathtub - really. I see you. I might not like the Kardashians but that was a shitty move.

5. This will, no doubt be credited as edgy and brave but it’s been done (Beyoncé’s Pepsi commercial).

6. I doubt Kayne is quaking in his Yeezys over Taylor Swift. The fact that she’s letting this eat her up for a year is just sad cuz if she was the “Strong feminist icon” some of y'all play her out to be she should’ve and would’ve let it go and move the fuck on.

The song was okay but instead of praising her how about people start asking for her to to take responsibility for what she did instead of help capitalise on what she did and start making her out to be the victim. She was revealed to be a snake and liar.

For Worse

This was a Request for an Anon. They wanted a Story where Bruce Cheated and the Bat Boys react. If you have request go ahead and make one! Also Let me know if you want a part two. (UPDATE: Lots of people have asked for a Part 2 so i’ll start working on it soon ^_^)  part two: here

You weren’t much of a wine drinker, not much of a drinker period in all actuality. When you did drink you preferred the sweetness of a strawberry margarita that masked the taste of alcohol. However, right now, as the slightly bitter liquid pooled to the back of your throat, you couldn’t imagine a better tasting drink.

Sitting on the large black marble kitchen counter, you swung your legs with childlike glee as the world around you suddenly started to feel a little hazy. Patting at your cheek with a sweater covered hand to wipe away some tear stains you filled up your glass of Zinfandel with the other.

The bottle clinks hollowly against the counter just as Alfred rounds the corner into the kitchen. He looks at your form sitting on the counter with wide worried eyes but you can’t be bothered to give him more than a half hearted crooked smile as you knock back half of your glass.

“Are you alright ma’am?” He asks moving slowly toward you. He can clearly see the intoxicated state that you’re in and he doesn’t want to startle you.

“Peachy,” you say with an airy sigh.

“It doesn’t seem so,” he says picking up the large empty bottle of wine. “It’s not even past noon ma’am.”

“I don’t know if I care that much Alfred,” you say with a chuckle. “This is usually the only time I get to be alone.”

He looks at you worriedly, “Maybe right now you shouldn’t be alone.”

You look at him, nose scrunching up in anger and a frown pulling at your lips. “I think I should, you aren’t exactly innocent either, are you?”

Alfred doesn’t waver when meeting your gaze, save for a brief flash of guilt that runs through his eyes. “Why don’t I fix you some coffee and breakfast to help sober you up.”

“When were you going to tell me?”

“Toast is probably the best option.”

“Where you ever going to tell me?”

“I know you like eggs, so I’ll scramble some for you.”

“How many times did you watch him fuck her?” You say as you grab at his arm.

He stops his rambling at looks at you with a slight tear in his eye, “I’m sorry Mrs. Wayne.”

You look at the older man and see the pain in his eyes and think about the shame he must feel, he is the one who raised Bruce afterall.

“Were you sorry enough to ask him to stop?”

“He pushed me away.”

“Of course he did,” you say snidely letting go of the man and pushing yourself off of the counter. Your sock covered feet hit the floor with slight pat and you walk over to the sink to put your glass down. “When breakfast is done, I’ll be in the bedroom.”

“…Of course ma’am.”

***

Wallowing around in your bed and wiping away ever falling tears all day wasn’t something that you thought you’d be doing when you married Bruce Wayne. However, at the moment you couldn’t think of what else to do. You needed to get your emotions out and rest at the same time. Damian would be home from school soon and the rest of the boys would be home for dinner.

The familiar roar of an engine caught your attention and you felt your body tense. Anticipation and anxiety wracked your form as you waited for the familiar footsteps of your husband to enter the room.

What would you say to him? Could you even bring it up? What if what you saw only happened in a dream? He would never actually hurt you this way would he? He had promised to love and cherish only you after all. How could Batman of all people break his promise?

In your thoughts, you’d barely heard the door to your bedroom open. He doesn’t say anything when he walks through the door. You hear the rustle of clothing and assume that he is removing his suit jacket. You assumptions were proved correct when he comes to sit on the side of your shared bed and pulls the blanket from over your head. He reveales himself to be in his white shirt and black suit pants.

His blue eyes scan over your form worriedly as he rubs a large thumb on your forehead. You have to bite your tongue to prevent sharp words from spewing out of you and rejecting his sweetness.

“Are you still not feeling well?” He asked voice soft and warm.

You shake your head.

He sighs with a sad smile and runs the pad of his thumb over you cheekbone, “I’ll have Alfred make you some soup.”

You don’t respond and stare at him relatively blankly and while this bothers him he shrugs it off to whatever sickness it was that was bothering you.

He stands from the bed and moves over to the closet to change into something more comfortable. You take the opportunity to sit up and push your body up against the headboard and you watch him. As he pulls the shirt off his body you can see every scar and bruise that he’d accrued recently, even the ones on his neck that hadn’t placed there forcefully.

When he slips the grey sweatshirt on over his head your trace is broken.

“Can I say something?”

He jumps slightly at the sound of your voice and turns to look at you with curious blue orbs.

“I always thought it would be Talia y’know? Especially on account of how Damian got here, but I thought it would be her.”

“What?” He asks with furrowed dark eyebrows.

“I always thought that the thing with Selina was harmless flirting, even if she did kiss you once or twice, I never really got mad.” You can feel your throat slick and tighten with nerves but your belly is full of rage.

You can see it on his face when it registers what you were talking about and the blanching of his face causes you to get angrier for some reason. You stand up quickly from your position on the bed and instinctively he holds a hand out in attempt to calm you.

“Why would you do that to me? What have I not given you that you couldn’t think ‘I shouldn’t do this, I have a wife waiting at home’?”

“We were caught up in the moment, it wasn’t supposed to happen.” He tries to explain.

“Multiple times, you fucked her multiple times! On different days, on different weeks!”

He looks at you pathetically and you suddenly find that your positions have been reversed and he is the one sitting on the bed while you are the one standing.

“You know I thought this would happen when we were dating, and I told myself that it would be much better if it happened then because I could just leave. But now I can’t, I’m stuck here with you, in this giant stupid house.” You can feel your tears start to well up again but you quickly wipe at your eyes in an attempt to wipe them away. “Were you going to stop sleeping with her? Or were you just waiting to get caught?”

He doesn’t respond and he hangs his head down in shame.

“Look at me!,” you snap agitated and causing him to meet your gaze. “You were bold enough to go and do it no you have to take the consequences the same way you did them.”

“I wasn’t going to stop,” he said truthfully. You feel your jaw twitch at the honesty and the frown that’s pulling at your lips is almost painful. “Selina has always been important to me I suppose, and it felt natural.”

It was almost as if you could hear your heart breaking and you couldn’t stop the sob that ran its way through your throat. You slapped a hand over your mouth in shame and turned away from him as the tears freely flowed down your face. Almost instinctively at your crying from, Bruce was at your side with a large hand on your back trying to comfort you.

“Don’t. Touch. Me!” You snap slapping his hands away. “Why did you marry me? If you felt that way you should have been with her!”

“I love you,” he says desperately.

“No you don’t,” you say pushing him away from you. “If you did you wouldn’t have done this.”

“Thats-” he starts but he stops himself.

“Were you going to say ‘That’s not true’?” You ask incredulously with wide eyes. “So you were planning on cheating on me anyway.”

“No,” he shakes his head.

“God, I’ve wasted all of this time on you,” you say moving around him looking for a pair of shoes to slip on and your keys. “All of the things that I could have done, places I could  have gone, and people who would have loved me, I gave it up for you. I put my career on hold so I could help you. So that Wayne Enterprises would have someone there while you rested. So that our son could have something other than mask to raise him. But you couldn’t do one thing for me? You couldn’t say no one time for me?”

He doesn’t respond, he knows he shouldn’t respond, nothing he can say will make this situation better.

Once you’ve collected your shoes, bag, and care keys, you let out a sigh,”I had really hoped that once you came home that there would be some way that you could deny this and I would have believed you. That I’d been slipped some sort of drug and had been hallucinating the things that I saw, but I was too hopeful.” You wipe at your eyes. “The worse part about it is that you’ve trapped me, Bruce. What can I do? My life has become our kids, your company, and your mission. That has been my job since we’ve gotten married. I lived for us Bruce, why couldn’t you?”

“I didn’t mean to- I didn’t mean for this to happen,” he pleads. “She was just-”

This isn’t about her, Bruce.” You shake your head and make your way to the bedroom door. “I’m going to stay at the penthouse. Don’t come by. Tell Damian that I’ll come get him for lunch on Saturday like I always do.”

“Are you coming back?”

You look at his sad blue orbs and shake your head, “I don’t know.”

***

Damian was the first to arrive home. Bruce watched from the bedroom window as he and Alfred made their way into the house. What was he supposed to tell him? Not just Damian, but everyone. That he’d driven their mother away and he didn’t know when she’d be back? That he’d ruined their family? No, never that. How could he break his children even more than they already had been.

With a frown, Bruce locked the door to the bedroom and sat in silence and darkness. If he’d gone to the cave he would have opened himself up to questions. In here, for the moment, he was safe. No one would bother him here.

***

“Hey Alfred, where is mom?” Dick asked, taking a drink of his water.

“Yes, I would like to know as well, Pennyworth. It’s not often that you come and pick me up from school,” Damian started pushing around some of his food with his fork.

“Mom didn’t get you from school?” Tim questioned with a furrowed brow. “That’s her thing though.”

“Hence the question,” Damian replied with smirk causing Tim to roll his eyes.

“Maybe she got tired of you being a smartass and didn’t feel like being bothered,” Jason adds in with a raised eyebrow and a smirk of his own as he rocks back on the legs of his chair.

“Unlikely, considering I’m her favorite,” the youngest said crossing his arms over his chest. “Besides, I haven’t seen her at all, not since this morning.”

“What?” The three older boys questioned alarmed.

“Alfred?” Dick questions again to the older man who hasn’t raised his head from his plate since the questioning started. “Where is mom?”

“I’m afraid, Master Grayson, that it would be best if you went to ask Master Wayne,” the butler deflects.

“Has something happened to, mom?” Tim asks seriously.

“I cannot answer that,” Alfred replies again.

In frustration Jason pushes away from the dining room table to make his way up to the master bedroom, the other boys following quickly behind him.

It only takes a minute for Jason to stomp his way to the bedroom and even less for him to begin banging on the door.

“Open the door up, old man” He starts impatiently. “We just want to know where mom is.”

There is a pause as the boys listen for movement, and when there isn’t any Jason pounds on the door again, “I’ll break the door open!”

“Jason!” Dick scolds. “Mom will be mad if you break her door.”

“Well how else am I supposed to get him to open it?”

“We could use our brains?” Tim suggests.

“No need,” Damian says pulling out his blade and shoving it in the jam of the door. He uses his weight as pressure and pops open the door.

“That still counts as messing up the door,” Dick says pointing at the ruined lock.

“It’s still intact isn’t it?”

“Whatever.”

Tim pushes open the door giving way to the light from the hallway to flood into the dark room. Tim quickly finds the light switch and the room lights up.

“Father?” Damian questions when the lights flicker on and he sees the man sitting on the edge of his bed with his head in hands.

The man doesn’t respond to his name being called and this sends the boys into a slight panic. Dick quickly walks over and places a large hand on Bruce’s shoulder and tries to shake him out of his trance.

The man looks at the boys and sadness flashes in his eyes as he realizes he has to explain how he’s taken their mother from them.

“Where is mom?” Tim asks.

Damian watches from a distance and takes in the state of the room. On the occasions that he’d have nightmares, he usually finds himself in his parents bed snuggled against his mother in the expansive bed as she protected him from the dreams. He probably knew better than anyone what their bedroom was supposed to look like.He noted that the dresser was suspiciously bare of his mother’s jewelry boxes and perfume bottles.  He casts a quick glance at Jason who seems to realize that something is off about the room.

Damian walks around the bed to his mother’s closet and opens it only find it empty. Jason stands behind his youngest brother staring at the empty room perplexed.

“This is her’s,” Damian mutters, “Where is her stuff?”

When it clicks for Jason he’s consumed with rage and he’s stomping over to Bruce again and pushing his startled brothers away. His large hand is around Bruce’s collar in an instant and he’s pulling the man up.

“What did you do? Why did she leave?” Jason questions acidly, his own blue eyes clashing violently with Bruce’s.

“Leave?” Dick questions. “How do you know she left?”

“Majority of Ummi’s things are gone. Like they were packed up.”

“She left us?” Tim questions swallowing thickly.

“I’m pretty sure she left him!” Jason hisses shaking the man who is still staring blankly at him. “What did you do?”

“What could you have done to make her leave like this?” Tim asks.

Dick examines his adoptive father keenly as he runs the scenarios through his mind. His mother adored Bruce, so why would she just leave?

Seemingly having enough of being pushed around Bruce quickly wraps his hand around Jason’s wrists and squeezed before ripping the hand off of his collar. The stretched fabric falls limply around his neck as he looks at the four of his sons angrily.

“You all need to leave,” He says sternly. “Your mother is safe.”

Dick’s gaze falls onto where the collar hangs limply at Bruce’s neck and he spots a purple bruise on his neck that causes a thought to run through his mind and it makes his hair stand on end.

“You wouldn’t,” Dick says with a shake of his head and a disbelieving smile. “You couldn’t, not to Mom, right?”

“What are talking about, Grayson?” Damian asks looking in between the two men.

Bruce meets Dick’s gaze and the younger man feels himself getting hot with anger the longer he holds his gaze.

Tim examines his father and finds the same bruise on Bruce’s neck and he puts it together. Instead of letting his anger consume him he glances back at his younger brother and grabs his arm.

“Let go of me, Drake,” Damian struggles as Tim pulls him along.

“Alfred knows where she went doesn’t he?” Tim asks glancing at the guilty man. A quick nod is all he needs as he proceeds down stairs with the young boy.

“Who was it with? Viki? Talia? Who?” Dick questions angrily.

Jason snorts in anger as he realizes what his brother is implying.

“Selina,” Bruce responds after a long pause.

Dick shakes his head in anger, “I knew you could be an asshole but not like this.”

Dick locks eyes with his brother, “We should find out where mom is and go see her in the morning. I’m sure she wants to be alone now.”

Jason nods and watches as his Dick leaves the room. He stares down the older man for a second before stomping out.

***

It seemed like it was always raining in Gotham, despite whatever the season was. At the moment that suited you just fine. The wide open space of the penthouse was smaller than what you were used to but still felt empty. You were happy that Bruce hadn’t tried to come and see you, you don’t think you could have been as civil as you were if he had come to see you.

So when there was a knock on the door, you felt dread fill your stomach. You quickly padded over to the door and looked out of the peephole and saw the distorted visage of four familiar figures.

“Boys!” You say with wide eyes as you swing open the door.

“Ummi!” The youngest voice calls out as he leaps at you burying his face in your stomach as his small but strong arms wrap themselves around your waist.

“Damian,” you say with a smile, running a comforting hand along his back.

“We were worried,” Dick says with a smile and a shrug as he pulls a bouquet of flowers from behind his back.

“You’re all so sweet,” you say with a smile moving to the side and letting the boys into the home.

“We didn’t want you to be alone,” Tim says, “We also wanted to make sure your weren’t in danger.”

“Oh,” you say sadly and closed the door behind them. Damian let’s go your waist and instead opts to hold your hand. “I shouldn’t have left in such a hurry, I know it can be unsafe.”

“We understand, mom” Jason says with a smile. You meet his normally stern eyes and you feel your tear ducts well up. “Hey, don’t cry! I brought food.”

We, brought food,” Dick pops in as Jason shows you a bag in is hand. “Tim set the table.”

Damian brings you over to sit you at the dining room table as Tim makes a place for the each of you.

Jason and Dick bring the food out and then sit down to join you.

“We’re sorry about Bruce,” Dick starts looking at you with a sad smile. “But we understand and we’ll be here for you.”

The boys nod their heads in agreement.

You smile at your boys, feeling slightly better than you had been in hours, “Thank you.”

The beat drops. Taylor Swift clears her throat. The best response to controversy is more music. It’s only fitting that “…Ready for It?,” the second single from Swift’s upcoming album Reputation, premiered last night via a trailer for ABC’s fall season. This is the perfect song for soapy, don’t-call-it-a-guilty-pleasure television, all too appropriate for a woman who named her cat for Meredith of Grey’s Anatomy.

If 1989 was Swift’s attempt to rewrite pop music in her own image, “…Ready for It?” finds her doing Top 40 pop on everyone else’s terms. The ingredients are familiar - a beat borrowed from Sleigh Bells’ “Kids,” her voice channelling Ellie Goulding, Sia, Rihanna. Swift has never sung more expressively, nor sounded more in tune with the way modern pop production uses the voice as an instrument. Some will call it a concession to pop radio - where all roads lead back to Rihanna.

But the lyrics, which tick off a dark list of fantasies, are unmistakably Swift. “Me, I was a robber first time that he saw me/ Stealing hearts and running off and never saying sorry.” Is she confessing that she’s a maneater? Or is she mocking her public image? Unlike “Blank Space”, which was a clear wink at the camera, she might be doing both at once.

Instead of accelerating into an anthemic chorus, her voice floats up into the heavens. “In the middle of the night, in my dreams/ You should see the things we do, baby”. It’s not just a major-key, traditionally Swiftian chorus – it’s one of the prettiest melodies of her career. Deep down, she’s still the same wide-eyed romantic Taylor Swift. Or is she? “I know I’m gonna be with you / So I take my time.” The beat drops; she pulls the rug out from under us: “Are you ready for it?” Is this a dream, or a nightmare?

And how long has Taylor Swift been holding onto that “He can be my jailer/ Burton to this Taylor” line – a reference to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor that could only be pulled off by a mind-bogglingly famous woman with the same name? Liz Taylor was an acclaimed performer whose fame often overshadowed her art; sounds familiar. Alongside Richard Burton, her most (in)famous husband, she co-starred in 11 films. Were their tabloid controversies a distraction from Liz’s art, or did her whole life – her characters, romances, public image – become one grand performance?

Taylor Swift, like Madonna before her, refuses to let the media control her perception. But Swift’s not asking us to buy into her personal drama here – in fact, she’s never taken herself less seriously. “Look What You Made Me Do” opened with a line widely interpreted as a Kim/Kanye diss – “I don’t like your little games.” On “…Ready for It?”, she responds emphatically: “Let the games begin!” Swift’s playing the villain, and she knows it.

The accepted wisdom is that Taylor Swift uses her singles to strike back at her exes, or fuel feuds with celebrities. But pop songs are about identification. They’re not literal press releases about public figures – or why would we, the listener, find any emotion in them? While the internet speculates over her politics, argues about how likeable she is, Taylor Swift reinvents herself. That’s what pop stars do. It doesn’t matter whether or not you like these singles. If you acknowledge that this is a new Taylor Swift, she’s already won.

Ultimately, “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready for It?” aren’t about Kanye, Katy, or Calvin. They’re about Swift herself, and her lesson to us: you don’t have to give a damn about your bad reputation.

If you are butthurt over the fact that there exist special conferences specifically for women in physics only, not men in physics, I’m happy to block you. Because I have no interest in arguing with you.

Women are minorities in physics (roughly 20%). We face unique problems that men in our field do not face. Conferences for women function as a safe space for us to enjoy our field without the gender bias and sexism we face at regular conferences or, really, every day in our own departments. A space for us to come together and talk about our experiences and encourage each other to stay in this field we love.

It is not a place intended to specifically exclude men. Rather, it is a place to include or even protect women.

One of my friends decided not to pursue physics after graduation because at an interview she was actually asked, “Do you think you can keep up with the boys?” A man in a female-dominated field would never be asked that question.

There are countless stories on the internet of women being forced out of their labs and/or entire fields because their advisor was sexually harassing and/or assaulting them when those advisors have too much influence in their field not to completely destroy the careers of those women.

I watch as my male classmates do their homework together, asking each other questions, collaborating freely and openly, with no judgment. But whenever I study with them and ask a question, I am treated like a burden to them. Even though I’m doing just as well in my classes as the boys, if not better than many of them.

I would hear the boys gossip about the girls in the other year of physics. Making judgmental comments about their work. Comments that were more severe on them than their male counterparts that were clearly doing worse. One of the girls they made fun of I was told by another girl in the program, “Yeah. She got a 100 on nearly every assignment. She was so smart.” But they didn’t want to see that side of her. They only picked out her mistakes.

I was sexually assaulted at a national physics conference by an older man in the field. But I guess I was too naive to talk to him about his career, right? I was asking for it at a professional conference where I was trying to network and build my career? My pant suit was too sexy or something?

Honestly, fuck you if you think women don’t deserve to have their own conferences. We fucking deserve it. If you didn’t realize it before, I hope this helps you understand. But if you outright refuse to acknowledge this problem, I have no time for you.

I can’t believe what YouTube is doing. I really can’t. It’s disgusting.

This makes me sad and angry.

I really hope YouTube cuts this bullshit out. These are people’s careers, ones they worked hard to build. And I can’t imagine the stress of being in this situation.

I sincerely hope that things get better for Wade, Jack, Matt, Ryan and all the other creators facing this.

A White Actor Grows Some Bollocks - Quill’s Scribbles

You may recall that movie studio Lionsgate got themselves into a bit of hot water last week when they announced the casting of Ed Skrein as Major Ben Daimio in their upcoming Hellboy reboot. The problem was Major Ben Daimio is a Japanese character in the source material, making Hellboy the latest of numerous sci-fi and/or comic book adaptations to whitewash a prominent Asian character. I and many others made our views heard, voicing our strongest and angriest objections to this blatant bit of racist erasure (for whitewashing is objectively racist and totally inexcusable) just as we did with the likes of Doctor Strange, Death Note and Ghost In The Shell. But unlike those projects I just listed, the most extraordinary thing happened. Somebody listened.

Oh not the studio obviously. No, it was Ed Skrein himself. Realising the hornet’s nest he had kicked, Skrein actually announced via his social media accounts that he was dropping out of the role.

This open letter has received a positive response from fans and readers. Hellboy producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin made a joint statement in support saying:

“Ed came to us and felt very strongly about this. We fully support his unselfish decision. It was not our intent to be insensitive to issues of authenticity and ethnicity, and we will look to recast the part with an actor more consistent with the character in the source material.”

Even Hellboy creator Mike Mignola chipped in to offer his praise for Skrein’s decision to step down.

Now it would be easy to take a very cynical approach to all of this. Perhaps claim that Skrein only stepped down because he realised the damage all of this backlash could do to his career, but for once I’m willing to put aside my cynicism. I do actually believe Ed Skrein’s sincerity here. He seems to be genuinely apologetic, initially not realising the implications of what he was doing and now seems determined to make amends.

However I’m not exactly willing to praise him for his decision. At least not to the same extent others are. I can understand why people are praising him so heavily. This is an almost unprecedented move. Having put up with loads of A list white actors giving the weakest and most pathetic excuses to justify their own racist bullshit, the idea of a white actor growing some bollocks and actually stepping down from a whitewashed role purely on moral grounds is a novelty. He quit a tentpole movie purely because it was the right thing to do, and I am grateful for that. But can we try and keep this in perspective? This decision wasn’t courageous or brave. It’s just an actor turning down a role. A role that should never have been offered to him in the first place. While I’m pleased that Ed Skrein did the decent thing in the end, the fact is this entire situation should never have happened in the first place. Asian characters should be played by Asian actors. That should not be a difficult concept for filmmakers to wrap their heads around, and I feel I should point out I still don’t trust Lionsgate in the fucking slightest. Oh they’re going to cast a Japanese actor as Ben Daimio now if they know what’s good for them, but if Ed Skrein didn’t take the moral high ground, they wouldn’t have learnt a damn thing. Let’s not forget the studio’s initial response to the controversy came from this now deleted tweet from Hellboy executive producer Christa Campbell:

We don’t see colours or race. The slogan for closet racists the world over.

See this is what so many white people in positions of power and authority within the industry need to understand when it comes to POC presentation. Being colourblind sounds good in theory, but in practice it can be very dangerous. When you make an actor’s performance or marketability the only criteria, you end up making stupid mistakes like this. When you racebend a white character, it’s fine. We already have plenty of representation, plus 9 times out of 10 being white isn’t actually integral to the character. For characters of colour on the other hand, you’ve got to take these other factors into consideration. Usually the culture of said character is integral plus it’s important for non white characters to be portrayed on screen not just for equality, but also for variety.

Recently I finally got to watch the Disney movie Moana, and I’m currently slightly obsessed with it. Not just because it’s a fun, smartly written musical with a great female protagonist, lovable characters, funny jokes and a heartwarming message behind it. It’s also because it explores myths and cultures I’ve never got to experience before.

Moana takes a lot of influence and inspiration from Polynesian culture and mythology, most notably adapting the stories of the demigod Maui (played by Dwayne Johnson). I have no idea how accurate this is, but I still loved it because it was something different. After seeing so many fantasy stuff like Lord Of The Rings and Game Of Thrones, which are essentially variations on Norse mythology, as well as the trillions of Christian inspired fantasy stories, Moana feels incredibly fresh and unique. I found all the stuff about Maui and Te Fiti fascinating, and I would love to see more movies exploring these Polynesian myths and legends. There’s such an incredibly rich vein of creativity you could tap into here.

Something else I loved about Moana was they actually cast Polynesian actors as the characters. I’ve already mentioned Dwayne Johnson as Maui. There’s also Jemaine Clement as Tamatoa the crab, Nicole Scherzinger as Moana’s mum, Jango Fett himself Temuera Morrison as Moana’s dad, Rachel House as Moana’s granny, and newcomer Auli’i Cravalho as Moana herself. This is why diversity is so important in films. Not only does it give actors of colour more exposure and allow new talents like Cravalho to emerge and flourish, but it also exposes general movie going audiences to stories and cultures we wouldn’t normally get to see. And that’s why whitewashing is so offensive. It takes job opportunities away from actors of colour and also causes creativity to stagnate. When it’s an Asian character in an Asian inspired story, there’s lots of different directions you can go. When it’s a white character in an Asian inspired story, there’s only one story you can tell. The outsider. The stranger. The foreigner to their ways. That’s not interesting. We’ve seen that done loads of times. Plus if you truly want to immerse the audience in another culture, isn’t it better to have a character that actually represents that culture rather than some white dweeb who knows jackshit about it?

Basically what I’m saying is we need more movies like Moana and less movies like…

No I’m never dropping this. Fuck this movie and all who support it.

So while I’m pleased that Ed Skrein decided to do the right thing in the end, I’m still going to judge this Hellboy reboot with the suspicion and scorn it deserves. Sure they’re probably going to cast a Japanese actor as Ben Daimio, but only because they have to now to save themselves from further embarrassment. It’s not because they want to. If it was someone like Scarlett Johansson or Tilda Swinton, the studio would still be sticking to their guns and trying to justify their racist bullshit.

I’m glad Skrein managed to fix things and reveal A list white actors like Swinton and Johansson for the selfish, racist, privileged pricks that they are through his own selfless actions, but until the industry properly recognises that whitewashing is NEVER a good idea, nothing has actually changed as far as I’m concerned.

anonymous asked:

In my story, I want one of my characters to be quite emotionless (like captain Holt from Brooklyn 99) but still loveable. How can I write it so he doesn't sound like a stone cold bitch?

Hi, darling!  Thanks for your question and your patience <3

My god, do I love Captain Holt (and all of the B99 characters really)!  I think the show and the actor have done this character very well, balancing his stoic nature with a sense of understood genuineness.  This can be a challenge, of course – especially when you don’t have an actor and their nuances to work with.  But I have some tips for you!

Writing “Emotionless” Characters

  • No one is truly emotionless.  People who appear “cold” or unfeeling are simply not outwardly expressive.  Either they’re very much in control of their emotions (due to social pressures, strict parenting, career/status demands, self-defense), or they naturally process emotions internally, preferring not to share with others.  Inexpressive people aren’t necessarily stifling anything – they just don’t feel as strong of a compulsion to cry, grimace, laugh, etc.  This can actually be a neurodivergent trait!
  • Being inexpressive is NOT being indifferent.  Too often, quiet/stoic characters are given a passive role in fiction, but the two traits aren’t linked at all.  Inexpressive people still care about issues and people; they can take leadership roles and direct action/conversation.  They can be as direct or indirect as anyone else.  Being stoic  ≠ being shy, blunt, or mean.
  • Inexpressive characters must have strong dialogue.  The less body language/emotion at your disposal as a writer, the more important your dialogue choices are.  Show their personality through their words – what they notice, what they find amusing, what they care about, and how they share themselves with others.  Even if they don’t talk much, use their instances of dialogue to your advantage.
  • Inexpressive characters must express themselves somehow.  Whether it’s through a personal activity, through their humor, or through certain communities/environments, they have to get their emotions and their personality out somehow.  Some people come alive online; some people open up more while they’re playing, working, or discussing their interests.  Some people just need a quiet or private environment to feel comfortable.  But no one is 100% stone-cold all the time.
  • Inexpressive characters can be a great comedic tool.  Having a normally-straightforward character make a well-timed remark can catch the reader off-guard in a very good way.  Inexpressive people can play a good “straight man” (in the comedic sense – not the sexual sense), or deliver the deadpan-Jim-Halpert-jokes we all know and love.  I’ve seen deadpan characters make simple sarcasm or awful puns hilarious through the element of surprise.  Stoic characters do not have to be boring or serious!

That’s all I’ve got for you right now, but if this doesn’t answer your question, the inbox should be open soon!  Thanks again, and good luck :)

The Sims 4 - The Barnes family, and La Nautique

I know lots of people liked my renovation of the Barnes’ house, so I thought it would be fun to try to remake it without any custom content to share it with you. And while I was working of this, I decided to share the family living there as well !

I won’t give you detail about their story, each of them already have skills, a career, additional traits, and you even have a cute family photo, it’s enough clues I think ! So feel free to do anything you want (except re-upload them of course), and don’t hesitate to tag me if you play with them !

Download the tray files : for the family, and for the house.

Or use the tag #rope or my Origin  ID simsontherope to find it on the gallery !

college advice part 2/7 : how to approach a competitive university

→ these are just tips based on what i’ve learned at uni!!

  • research ruthlessly. don’t just focus on the number of acceptances; look at the field you want to go into as well! look at what the environment is like, what the school does for it’s students, how many of those students go on to be successful in their careers. look at all of these things and more. the list is endless of things to consider depending on your field of study and interests: research opportunities, volunteering, clubs, sports, etc.
  • tell yourself that state schools are just a good as competitive and selective universities. this is important. because this is true. state schools are just as good as competitive and selective universities. you’ll get a wonderful education no matter where you go. my father has always told me that i should go to a state school for undergrad and a top notch university for grad school, so that’s what i’ve been doing.
  • ask yourself why you want to go to such a competitive university. is it because you just want it to look good on your resume or are you really looking to be challenged and pushed beyond your limits? state schools are also very challenging. i happen to go to a state school (purdue university in indiana) and i am challenged heavily here. even though it’s not an ivy league, i still feel as though i’m not getting a free pass through all my classes. i still have to work for my grades and i study so much and i still fail sometimes. i think this also relates to what my father has said; if you’re going to go to an ivy league for undergrad, where are you gonna go for grad school that’s gonna look better than your undergrad?
  • find something that makes you stick out from the rest of the people applying. find something unique about yourself! i am 9235% sure that the only reason that i was able to get into one of the most competitive fields of study at purdue university is because of what i shared during my application process. something that made me stick out. there are loADS of things that you can talk about to make yourself stick out! here are some ideas: talk about your study abroad if you had the opportunity to do so, any special events that you planned or coordinated for your clubs or extracurriculars, if you were the captain of any sports teams, any internships or volunteer opportunities you took, etc. there’s so many things!! there must be something that not everyone in your school has done!!
  • visit the university!! see some professors if you can, sit in on some classes if you wish. just do something to see exactly what it’s like. i ended up going to a state school (and i’m still here ofc), BUT i’m already in contact with some people at various universities for grad school. make!! connections!! connections are key to advancing your career!! i managed to get into a pretty sweet program over the summer for an internship that wouldn’t otherwise have been possible if i hadn’t had the connections i did!
  • push yourself. whether you’re in high school or a transfer student. push yourself in terms of academics, but please do not risk your health. get that 4.0 in high school. graduate at the top of your class, in the top 20, the top 10, the top 5. put all the effort you can and want to into your clubs + extracurriculars. break your own personal records in your sport. try to break everyone else’s. but keep in mind that your health is also SO important. do not lose your sanity over trying to get into the #1 university in the country. just be you and continue trying to improve. because that’s what colleges want to see: your improvement, your dedication and loyalty, your leadership. this is what colleges look for.
  • once again, tell yourself that competitive and selective schools are not any better than state schools, community colleges, etc.
Special Talk with Nathan Chen and Shoma Uno at 2017 Dreams on Ice

“By receiving motivation from each others’ quads”. From World Figure Skating No.79

The two of you know each other since your junior days. Do you remember your first impressions of each other?

S: We weren’t in the same competitions in the Junior Grand Prix Series, but even without the triple axel, Nathan would receive way higher points than me when I also didn’t have my triple axel yet. By knowing this, I realised that it’s possible to get such high marks without having difficult jumps.

In comparison to your impression of him back then, what is your impression of him now?

S: Nathan has become so grown up and mature, while I’m still far from being there.

N: Shoma, you’ve matured as well. (laughs) As he said, we first met around the time of the Junior Grand Prix Series, but I don’t remember much from then. What I do remember is Junior Worlds. I watched Shoma’s performance with Nam, and it was shocking how good of a performer he was. He had so much speed and power. Back then, he seemed like a young child so I was so taken aback when he started skating. His learning speed is so quick, and he’s gotten even better in the past 2 to 3 years. He pushes forward the field immensely and pushes me to move forward as well.
