The few weeks that you had spent on set were the best weeks of your life. You had been back home with Andrew for a couple of weeks. It was almost Christmas time. You had been hoping and praying since you got home that you would get to go back on the show. You loved everything about it. Besides the fact that you were a guest star on your favorite tv show, you loved Vancouver, it was a wonderful city. You also loved everyone that you had the pleasure of working with while filming, especially Misha. You and Misha became friends quickly. He was kind, and helped you a lot with your acting skills, he even helped you practice scenes that you were unsure of.

The mid-season finale was tonight, and you were excited to watch it, yet slightly nervous. Your character, Blair, kissed Castiel in this episode, and you hadn’t warned Andrew. He had been seemingly standoffish since you got home, you didn’t really understand why, but it wasn’t like you to push the issue, you thought maybe the fact that you were gone for a month was a little bit hard on him, he had more of a dependant personality than you did.

Just before Andrew was due to be home from work, you got the phone call you had been longing for. The producers wanted you to come back. Not only did they want you to come back, they wanted you to sign a contract with them. You would be living in Canada during filming season. Without a second thought you said yes. You thought of course that Andrew would come with you. He would love it in Vancouver and he could finish his schooling there as well.

You ordered pizza for dinner, and Andrew got home right after the pizza arrived. You had a few minutes before the show started, so you decided to tell Andrew the good news. You both got settled on the couch with your food and some wine.

“So,” you began, turning to Andrew. “The producers from the show called me today,”

“And?” Andrew answered

“They want me to come back.”

“For how many episodes?” He sounded slightly annoyed.

“They uh, they actually want me to sign a contract with them, which means they want to keep me.” You couldn’t contain the excitement in your voice. This was everything you never knew you wanted.

“I thought we agreed that you wouldn’t go back.” This came as a slight shock to you. You noticing that Andrew was slightly distant, but you really didn’t think he would have a problem with you going back, considering he would be able to come with you.

“I never agreed to that babe, I said I wouldn’t go back without you, and with a contract, you’d be able to move up there with me, finish school there, even.” He just looked at you, almost as if you had just broken his heart. You didn’t know why, your relationship was and always had been stronger than this.

“Look, Y/N, I love you. I always have. But I want to finish school here in LA.”

“What’s the big deal about finishing school here? I’ve heard that they have good schools there too”

“No, I-it’s not just that Y/N.”

“Well then what is it?”

“I don’t know, it’s just too far away from home I guess.” He sounded unsure of himself.

“You know we could come home whenever we want. It’s not like we wouldn’t have the money, the show pays well..” You were trying to make your case as best as you could, but you could sense that this wasn’t going to have the outcome that you wanted.

“Can you turn down the contract?” He seemed confident in asking you this. Like he had been practicing it if it were to happen.

“Andrew I…I already said yes. I’m going.”

He just looked at you and shook his head. As if he were disappointed.

You mumbled a, ‘whatever’ and turned the tv, THE argument causing you to miss the first couple of minutes of the show, which meant the first thing you saw was the kiss that you had been so nervous about Andrew seeing. Honestly, you shouldn’t have been nervous. It was just acting.

“Is this why you want to go back so bad? Finally get to make out with your celebrity crush?” Andrew snapped.

“Seriously? You do know that it’s just acting right?”

“Yeah, I get it.” What? You thought. He really wasn’t making much sense. As you just sat there sort of dumbfounded, he got up and went to your guys’ bedroom. You heard the door lock. This was not your Andrew. You didn’t even want to try to talk to him. So you decided to just enjoy the rest of your wine, and watch the show that you were incredibly proud of.

When the show was over you just decided to shut the tv off and lay on the couch so that you could enjoy your buzz. You finishing off the last of your wine when your phone dinged. You got a text from Misha.

Misha: You did a great job on that tonight’s episode. I hope you get to come back!

Y/N: Thanks Mish, I think I’m pretty sure I’ll be coming back tho :)

Misha: What makes you say that?

Y/N: I got a call today offering me a contract.

Misha: That’s awesome! I wonder what this means for Cas and Blair ;)

That last text was a bit of a surprise. That was definitely a flirty text. He had a girlfriend. Either way, you were buzzed and not on good terms with Andrew, and a little flirting never hurt anyone. Besides, you were both in relationships. Where could it possibly go?

Y/N: I hope it means something good :)

Maybe that wasn’t the best response, but hey, you were pretty buzzed.

Misha: What kind of good?

Y/N: I’m not sure lol

You just laid there as you waited for him to text you back. You then made the decision to go back to Vancouver in the morning. You didn’t care if you didn’t need to be back on set for a few weeks. You could just enjoy the city and find an apartment. If Andrew wasn’t willing to accept your decision to go back, then maybe the two of you should rethink your relationship.

You fell asleep before you got the chance to read Misha’s last text.

When you woke up the next morning Andrew had already left for his morning class. It was his last day of classes before Christmas. So you took this time to book a plane ticket and pack your bags. You took one last look around your small apartment. You left a note for Andrew explaining that being on the show was what made you happy, and that you weren’t leaving him. On the note you encouraged to him to call you later and told him that you loved him.

It was after the new year now, and you were settled into your new one bedroom apartment. Most of the cast was back in Vancouver now as well, and filming was beginning next week. You and Andrew had worked through what problems you had from before. You got to know as much of the city as you could, and were now working on filling your apartment with paintings, pictures of your family, candles, nic nacs, whatever you could find. It already felt like home.

It was early evening and you were getting ready to make dinner for yourself when you heard at at knock at the door. Which was weird, you hadn’t told anyone where you lived yet. You set down the hammer and nail you were using to hang one last painting before you cooked and opened the door.

“Hey Y/N, looks like we’re neighbors.”

Once again, if you’d like to be tagged, just let me know!

Now that I have the episode up on iTunes, lemme talk about this ending scene and why it’s a glimpse into future Starco interactions.

While holding her in his arms, Marco realizes that something deeper is going on that Star isn’t telling him about. At first he’s shocked to hear the amount of sadness and depression that she’s conveying through her tears that it throws him off before responding. And then when he has a moment to process what’s going on he looks at her with concern as she continues to cry in his arms.

Star has never been this heartbroken in front of him. The closest he saw her being in this state was when she sacrificed her wand to save him from Toffee.

Now this is just my guess, but I’m gonna say that Star is gonna distance herself away from Marco as he’s exploring his new relationship with Jackie. He’s not gonna know why though since Star and Jackie get along really well all things considering. So he’s gonna believe that it has to deal with her depression over losing her book and her mentor to Ludo. So he’ll try to cheer her up and she’ll put on a fake smile to make him not worry. But at the same time she’ll give him wistful looks from time to time.

I know a lot of Starco shippers are losing their shit over the fact that Marco’s now in a relationship with Jackie but consider this: This new revelation will help not only further the development of all three characters but will also give us some more development in Star and Marco’s relationship as a whole.

I lived through so many shipping wars and I’ve seen many of my OTP’s go through the same thing. I’ve seen it all before and now it’s Starco’s turn. I’m not gonna start arguing with people over the internet about fictional relationships just yet because this is only the mid-season finale and there’s still plenty of episodes left in Season 2. So I’m not gonna start losing my shit just yet.

Let’s not forget about Blood Moon Ball. I’ll be doing another deep analysis about that very soon but tonight I just want to focus on going through why this scene is a sign of more development to come when it comes to Star and Marco’s relationship.

(Thanks for not removing anything. You’re great)

My Pitch for how to rewrite Arrow.

So, a while back, after me and my brother had a chin-wagging session on why Arrow was a legitimately terrible show after Season 2, I decided to do a little think piece: say I was tasked with rebooting Arrow a couple of years down the line. How would I do it? What would I change (a lot)? What would I keep the same (not a lot)? I decided to sit down and write out a basic outline for a rewritten Arrow Season 1.

…two weeks, 2000+ words and another basic outline for Season 2 later, I am pleased to present my pitch for Arrow Season 1 under the cut to anyone who might give a shit.

WARNINGS for: discussion of violence, mental health and swearing.

Inside The Writers’ Room: A little ficlet (if you can call it that)

I am getting AMAZING feedback on my Golden Couple post. Seriously… this fandom rocks. Thank you for reading it and thank you for the support. It means a lot.

First things first, I want to clarify something. This was a failing of mine. When I talk syndication and holding onto the Olicity wedding card, they are not doing that because they are worried they won’t be sold into syndication. Arrow is a successful show. Of course it will be sold into syndication. Of course it will get a fifth season. No, this is about how much they CHARGE for the syndication deal. The higher the ratings are, even in the later seasons, the more they get to charge for the package. In fact, most show’s ratings drop off in later seasons, but Arrow’s have held steady and even GROWN. Which episodes do they grow? The Flarrow episodes.

It’s no different than sweeps and using those ratings to set pricing for ad buys. But instead of four times a year, they do this once (I think). This is Berlanti & company’s big shot. They get one swing at the plate. They want a big, fat price tag on Arrow when they sell it to syndicates. What better way to do that than for the 100th episode to have really big ratings? And trust me it will. The 100th episode is the syndication celebration episode. That’s why they aren’t playing this card yet. They’d be stupid if they did.

Also, if Arrow gets to charge big money for a syndication deal - what does that mean for The Flash? The Flash gets bigger ratings than Arrow. So Arrow sets the bar, which impacts Flash, which impacts Legends. A lot is riding on this. It’s just the maths folks. Reality of the business.

But let’s get back to story. A lot of you are onboard with my maths and that’s awesome. But many are saying there’s a thousand different ways they could have written this. Less crappy ways. Really? What are they? No seriously. I’m asking. I’m not being a smart ass. Because I thunked my thoughts pretty hard before I wrote that meta and I couldn’t come up with any storylines that were less crappy or less bullshit than the one we saw in 4x08.

Here are the parameters:

The wedding CAN’T happen until the 100th episode, which means Oliver and Felicity CAN’T get married at the end of Season 4. Which means STALL.

Stall options

1. Throw drama at them that they weather, but ultimately stalls the engagement

2. Break them up

Option 1 - I couldn’t come up with anything that would stall the wedding for another TWENTY TWO episodes that wasn’t as stupid as Oliver lying. Also, I kept running into “Well they weathered that challenge. How come they aren’t getting married?” I could only come up with “because” and Stephen and Emily can act a lot of things but they can’t act “because.”

Option 2 - Break up. This would effectively stall things long enough to give the time needed to get Berlanti and company to the 100th episode. Now the question is… WHAT BREAKS THEM UP?

Listen, Felicity is seriously the most forgiving person in the world. And Oliver screws up A LOT. What hasn’t he done? So I imagined the conversation in the writers’ room and I came up with… a thing. Honestly, this is how my brain works. Hopefully you find it humorous, but it’s more likely you’ll realize how weird I am. Which I’m okay with. Enjoy!

Inside The Writers’ Room

Berlanti, Guggenheim and Kreisberg enter the writers’ room. The Arrow writers are happily munching on Cheetos and laughing at Lord Mesa’s newest drawing. Then they see the Three Musketeers and quickly run to their desks and pretend to type.

Guggie: Okay writers. We’ve talked it over. Bottom line? We need to hold off on the wedding until the 100th episode.

The writers groan.

Clarke Timeline.

Guy’s Clarke gets the cut on her head next episode, so that means that the big events from the trailer are coming up.

By big event’s I mean;

3x06; This scene of Clarke and Emerson which we already know is coming up next ep, because Jason has said that King Roan gives Clarke and Lexa a gift which in the preview you can see that it’s Emerson, so that will set the rest of the season up and will continue with the theme of ‘Mercy or vengeance’ that this season seems to be going with.

Her crying over something, which I believe to either be her being shown the bodies of the nightblood children after Ontari has slaughtered them or Murphy all beaten up and bruised. Maybe, not sure yet. I think this will be the mid season final, if it’s not I will be every surprised. I mean, episode 3x07 is a ALIE flashback, in which Clarke is supposed to find out a game changing truth, So why can’t the episode end with her seeing, maybe helping Murphy and him telling her that the Grounders are working with/controlled by Alie and the city of light. That will lead into the mid season final, where I believe Ontari will become Commander, because Lexa will either die (hope not) or she will be banished maybe?

Next we have the Jasper and Clarke scene, while the other scenes will happen before the mid season break, this scene will happen after the break. Clarke’s cut isn’t as bad as the above scenes, Now we already know that Jasper will be tempted by the city of light, so I’m not too sure how Jasper is getting so upset in that scene if he has taken the pill, because you ain’t meant to be fazed by much in the COT right? Unless, there are curtain emotions can break through? Or maybe Jasper doesn’t go through will taking the pill next episode?

Lastly; the Bellarke Hug! Clarke’s cut on her head is almost healed, and honestly, are Bellamy and Clarke in the place right now to be hugging? No, No way in hell. Which leads me to believe that this scene is around 3x12/13, Bellamy and Clarke have some shit to figure out before they can even get to a place that they would be hugging each other with so much relief. I couldn’t help but notice that Clarke has a new bruise/cut on her face and Bellamy has been beaten (probably by Octavia or someone else) which also leads me to believe that this is later in the season too leaving them enough time to go through something big that leaves them broken and bruised.

Just some thoughts, I thought I’d share.

Prompt-Emily forgiving Alison/Alison makes everything better and Hanna and spencer see them kiss (or something) and they get really mad/worried

Hello, if the anon who sent the prompt is reading this, it’s a great prompt and I hope you(and everyone else who is reading this) enjoy the story. Also, if you haven’t seen the mid season finale yet, there will be spoilers in the story.

It had been a week since Spencer had been released from prison and about two weeks since Alison had been trying to get Emily to talk to her. It was especially hard now that the girls thought she was A, something that saddened her, especially when she learned that Emily also believed it. After Mona’s murder things had been up in the air for a while and Alison had stayed away to make sure that her plan was still in order and also to give the girls time to grieve in peace.

Two days after the tragedy with Mona, Ali attempted to offer her condolences to the girls, but it had not ended well. Emily had stalked off the second she walked over to the group, Aria glared at her the entire time, and Hanna shouted things at her that she would rather not repeat. Suffice to say, that was the last time she tried to talk to them all at the same time. If she was being honest the only one she truly wanted (read: needed) to speak to anyway was Emily.

The first few attempts Alison had made to get Emily to speak to her had been over the phone, all of which had gone ignored, not that she was truly surprised by that. After that she would try to catch her in between classes or after school, but it seemed as though Emily would disappear during those times. The last few days Alison had sat outside the other girl’s home and each time Emily walked right past her without a word.

Today, however, Ali was determined to get Emily to hear her out and when Alison Dilaruentis set her mind to something she tended to get it. Right now, what she wanted more than anything was more Emily to hear her out. She glanced down at her phone and noted that Emily should be arriving at any moment and almost like clock work, Emily arrived home. The brunette exited her car and immediately brushed by Alison, not even sparing her a single glance.

“Emily.” Alison called out, shutting her eyes tightly when Emily didn’t even acknowledge her words. “Emily, please.” She pleaded, sighing in relief when Emily hesitated slightly but made no move to look at her or to speak. “I need to talk to you, to explain things. I just need you to hear me out and if you don’t want to talk to me ever again after I promise I’ll leave you alone forever.”

From where she stood, Ali could see Emily’s entire body tense before she turned around, her expression cold. “I’ll listen to you and after you will never bother me again. Don’t call me, don’t text me, don’t talk to me, I want nothing to do with you.” Emily said harshly.

Although Alison wanted to cry because of what she had turned Emily into she knew she couldn’t. She had no one to blame but herself. “Okay.” she agreed timidly, hoping that Emily wouldn’t shut her out after she told her what she needed to know. “Can I come inside?”

The swimmer said nothing in response, she simply turned on her heel and walked inside, leaving the door open for Alison to follow.
