is it going to come alive

Awake and Alive - Chapter 7 (7/?)

Summary: While Emma and the other Nevengers are leaving Storybrooke for Neverland to search for Henry, a misterious and unkown woman comes in Storybrooke, looking for a long lost man and some answers about herself. I am baaaaack! It’s been an awful week, I am tired as hell and I can’t wait to go to sleep but before that… Here it is another chapter of the story!

Milah is back! And so are her friends. Did I ever tell you how much I love writing the friendship between Milah, Ruby and Belle?

But don’t worry Milah’s part is not long and then we are going back to Neverland where are our favorite pirate and princess are! What do you think they are doing this chapter?

As always tagging  @cinnamonduckling, @captainswan-shipper88, @tirsu, @tomeandflickcorner. Let me know if you want to be tagged for future chapters!    ______________________

Storybrooke

Milah was supposed to meet with Belle and Ruby yesterday at the library to see if they could find anything about how and why she was still alive. They had to cancel their meeting however because, if she understood right, there was a mermaid in town, Ariel, who had a message from Rumpelstiltskin to Belle, and Belle had to help her with something.

It was still strange for Milah to see Belle everyday and understand why or how she fell in love with someone like her ex-husband, but she wasn’t going to comment about it in front of Belle. She was really sweet and helpful with everyone and, most importantly, full of hope. She had a good heart, anyone could see this, and Milah was sorry to hear about what Killian did to her while trying to get revenge on Rumpelstiltskin.

The mermaid who came into the town said she was sent by the Evil Queen (Milah had to remember her name was Regina) and Rumpelstiltskin to get a box from his shop. Belle helped the mermaid without any further questions, having hope that her lover will do the right thing in the end.

Milah preferred to stay away from Ariel, fearing that she would say something to Rumpelstiltskin when she saw him again. She was scared though, she wasn’t afraid to admit that in front of anyone, because she feared about what he could do to her when he saw she was still alive. If their last encounter many years ago was any indication, Rumple still hated her for leaving him and Bae and running off with Killian. Thinking about Bae made her sad because when she came into town, she was fully prepared to talk to him, to explain to him everything that happened when he was little and apologize. But instead of seeing her son for the first time in 300 years, Milah found out that he was dead. She regretted that she would not be able to talk to him one more time, a regret that would last for the rest of her life.

mega-coolboy1-fan  asked:

In team Sonic who should be fat, fatter & fattest in that team?

May be a controversial opinion but…

Fat - Tails

Fatter - Sonic (though very close to being fattest)

Fattest - Knuckles

Knuckles has always been my favourite sonic character, to the point I have multiple Knuckles models on my desk at work. I was even a fan of his levels in the adventure games! Plus theres not much large knuckles art (usually delving more into muscle stuff) so I’m trying to fix that imbalance!

Sonic is a very close second. He’s also got a great design for fat stuff and of course making lovely jokes like sonic the hedgeblob or “he’s the fattest thing alive” jokes is always great.

For me, whilst I do like Tails, he’s never quite clicked for me for him to be my favourite. And when it comes to fat stuff, I know he’s super popular in the community and usually the go to but after a while, I find him to be overdrawn and overhyped.

Merry thanksmas

Happy thanksgiving, all! Thanks for all the love and support you guys give me. It means a lot. I can kindof support myself and that’s cool. All you patrons know I love you, all you guys that come by to chill at a stream, all you people who commission me constantly or buy up my adopts, and all you dudes who share my stuff around or even just give a tap on the ‘like’ button. You’re keeping me alive. Thank you all. I hope to keep it going and growing and makin stuff better ♥

Meeting new people like….

the paladins + being scared

Lance: (screams and either flails backwards and gets caught in his jacket, or he jumps into hunk’s arms)

Hunk: (raises his arms up to protect his face and twists his knees inward like he has to go to the bathroom. also automatically prepares to catch lance)

Keith: (jumps (it’s more like a hop) backwards and tries to pull out his knife. he’s usually successful in getting his knife out but if you really get him flustered he ends up accidentally flinging his fanny pack at you)

Pidge: (jumps three feet into the air and tries to climb the nearest person and/or wall and/or object. if she’s holding technology, she will protect it first and her body second)

Shiro: (falls into a fighting stance. his face says calm and prepared leader, but his eyes scream he’s not going back to jail)

Coran: (flails around in a bunch of over-exaggerated vaguely karate like movements. before you know it, you’re completely disarmed and on the ground, and he’s standing above you posed like a ballerina)

Allura: (yells and instinctively punches a hole straight through the wall. the metal wall. like it was nothing. the mice atop her head chirp at you in a scolding manner. you flee the scene, lucky to be alive)

The Signs as Quotes from “The Great Gatsby”

Aries“Angry, and half in love with her, and tremendously sorry, I turned away.”

Taurus: “Every one suspects himself of at least one of the cardinal virtues, and this is mine: I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known.”

Gemini: “People disappeared, reappeared, made plans to go somewhere, and then lost each other, searched for each other, found each other a few feet away.”

Cancer: “It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life.”

Leo: “And so with the sunshine and great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

Virgo: “Let us learn to show our friendship to a man when he is alive and not after he is dead.”

Libra“If personality is an unbroken series of successful gestures, then there was something gorgeous about him.”

Scorpio: “So we drove on toward death through the cooling twilight.”

Sagittarius“In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among whisperings and the champagne and the stars.”

Capricorn: “There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy and the tired.”

Aquarius“I wasn’t actually in love, but I felt a tender sort of curiosity.”

Pisces“A stirring warmth flowed from her, as if her heart was trying to come out to you concealed in one of those breathless, thrilling words.“

Wow the blatant sexism against female characters has moved on to Nancy Wheeler, why am I even surprised at this point, but I am going to defend her anyways

  • Nancy Wheeler is the kind of a girl who fights an entire corrupt cooperation because she doesn’t want her best friends parents to go bankrupt
  • Nancy Wheeler fights them despite there terrible threats against her because she knows they are corrupt and don’t deserve to get away with it
  • Nancy Wheeler is the girl who tried to deal with her own guilt, and grief for an entire year without having any real outlet for it
  • Nancy Wheeler is basically the only one who doesn’t buy or maybe a better word is accept that all the guilty people are ‘gone’ - side note so I don’t have to fight people over this Eleven comes to the realization Papa is still alive so clearly they are not all ‘gone’
  • Nancy Wheeler figures out how to manipulate said agency knowing full well they will underestimate her
  • Nancy Wheeler isn’t reckless she seeks help when she is out of her depth
  • Nancy Wheeler can keep up with ridiculous conspiracy journalist
  • Nancy Wheeler can’t deal with her overwhelming emotions at 16, like wow normal teens can’t deal with there first sexual relationship and yet you loser on tumblr are critiquing realistic female trauma #feminism
  • Nancy Wheeler doesn’t have to love Steve Harrington now that he is the new fandom fav
  • Nancy Wheeler is allowed to lash out, everyone else on the show fucking does - Mike/Eleven/Steve/Hopper/Jonathan etc.
  • The idea people are honest when drunk is such bullshit, people lash out about the things they are feeling at the moment, everything is amplified, so frustration, fear, guilt, pain, being overwhelmed all of which are natural pore out of her
  • Nancy Wheeler can have feeling for Jonathan because they have shared history, and attraction, no 16 year old is ready for a white picket fence future, regardless of what fucking decade it is
  • Nancy Wheeler is there for Barbs family
  • Nancy Wheeler is there for her Family - Mike has been a brat towards her and she still wants to look out for him (all 13 year old boys are brats to their older sisters but that doesn’t make it any easier)
  • Nancy Wheeler is there for Jonathan as he has to torture his own brother, and she makes the hard calls so he doesn’t have to - this saves Will
  • Nancy Wheeler is there for Dustin knowing exactly what to say to him, because she has a big heart full of love
  • Nancy Wheeler is in no way cold, unfeeling, cruel, she is a complex character, she is a realistic 16 year old trying to grow in a world full of monsters and world ending crisis’s you don’t have to like her but to shit on her constantly is pathetic especially for horribly sexist tropes she doesn’t have to be easy to deal with, she doesn’t have to be there for your fav male character, she is allowed to exist as a flawed human being, as all the other characters on the show are

End Rant.

One thing I find kinda sad is Shaxx’s Titan mark.

I know the community likes to joke around and call them butt towels, but in the lore they’re pretty important things. It’s there to indicate achievements, show rank, which order you belong to, that kinda stuff. Zavala of course dons the Vanguard mark, Saladin dons a bitchin cape and an Iron Banner mark.

Meanwhile, Shaxx’s is just orange. Just a simple mark. It doesn’t even have the Crucible logo.

To me it comes off like he’s incapable of being proud of anything he does, always pushing himself harder and never being satisfied with anything he does. He’s a workaholic.

I mean, just look at what he did during the Twilight Gap. A lot of Titans would wear that as a badge of honor, saving the City and all. Then going against orders to take the wall with 5 others when hope was lost.

I think the reason he’s not proud of anything he does is because he has lost so much.

There was the Gap. We know that story.

Then, there was the Crota incident, where Shaxx begged the Consensus to delay the attack until they understood the Hive swords better. The Consensus didn’t listen to him, and all Zavala had to say was that it’s for the Consensus to decide.

A thousand Guardians died to the swords of the Hive.

Not to mention all the other wars he’s been in.

And now, he runs the Crucible. Which brings even more loss. How many new Guardians that passed through the Tower a minute ago will be still alive in a year? A lot of those faces never return.

When the Cabal attacked, he focused on protecting civilians. There is an NPC in the farm who thanks him, saying that she would be dead if not for him.

But with the Cabal attack, and the amount of Guardians both veteran and newly risen dead, it meant that his Crucible failed.

So, now he’s back at it. Making the Crucible harsher every day, throwing more challenges at the Guardians. He’s never outright harsh with the Guardians, but begrudgingly encouraging. He believes in them, wants them to succeed. Never kicks you when you’re down, occasionally shouts at you to GET UP, FIGHT, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.

He takes every death and every failure personally, that it was his fault, that he could have prevented it. But he channels that sorrow into strength and encouragement.

Shaxx won’t be proud of anything he does until people stop dying around him.

He built Frames to clear out future Crucible arenas first, so that Guardian lives won’t be senselessly wasted.

Shaxx wants everyone to come home alive.

Maybe because he himself lost so much. Maybe to make sure no one feels that same pain that he does. Maybe to just push away the Darkness. Maybe all those reasons.

And that’s why I think his mark is blank.

Loki’s Future

some random thoughts/meta after watching Ragnarok (a good ass film™️)

- After watching Ragnarok, I was struck by how similar in appearance Loki is to Hela. Same slim face and build, same pale skin, and even the same black hair. They both prefer blades to fight with and magic to communicate with. Hell, their wardrobe color schemes even match. This raised some questions for me when I was watching the film; why this deliberate choice, and how much does Loki’s appearance have an effect on how Odin treats him, in this film and others? Thor is Hela’s sister, yet we’ve seen that Odin treats Thor very, very differently to Hela and later Loki. Does Loki with his black hair and magic just remind Odin too much of his own shitty decisions? It would explain a lot about why he acts like such a dick to Loki, even when Loki was a child and not killing anyone (as far as we know haha, that kid coulda done anything)

- But there’s gotta be more to it than that. The similarities in appearance may well be Taika’s nod to the original Norse myths, but it occurred to me that it’s way too obvious a similarity, and could be pointing to something a little more complex. In the original myths, Hela is actually Loki’s daughter. Coincidence? I think not! Add this to the fact that in the mythology Loki also has a son, a gigantic wolf called Fenrir, who we also see in Ragnarok, I think there’s plenty of evidence pointing to the fact that Loki has some greater importance and connection to Asgard, running deeper than him simply being a Jotun war prize. For me it’s just too much of a coincidence that Hela and Loki are a) strongly connected in the source material b) have strongly similar appearances, fighting styles and love for chaos (to a certain extent, their characters are similar) and c) are both ‘children’ of Odin. On one of Loki’s bad days, you could call them twins. Why though? It’s been reeeeally bugging me, but I just can’t work out a direct connection, or reason as to why Hela’s character had to be built to resemble Loki.

- One answer to this is a theory I read that Loki is in fact Hela’s son. (Yeah, I know, that sounds deranged when you think about it.) The timelines align such that Hela could very easily have invaded Jotunheim with Odin before Loki’s birth. There she could have had, through some means or other, a child with Laufey, and then later abandoned it due to ‘weakness’. So… a hybrid. Loki even has black hair when he’s in his Jotun form, and that’s really fucking unusual - no other frost giant is even similar - he LOOKS like a hybrid of Hela and Laufey. Although there’s a few things off about this theory, and the MCU will probably never confirm or go into enough detail about it, AND it also makes Loki Thor’s nephew (!!!wtf!) AND Odin would have also have to have known about it the whole time (albeit explaining his behaviour), it does give reason and a cause to the weird connection and similarities between the two.

- Loki and the Tesseract. Ooooooooohhh my god. So we basically KNOW that he has it, as although we don’t see him take it in Ragnarok, it’s strongly implied, and he also is literally holding it in the leaked trailer for Infinity War. (I appreciate that some ppl don’t want to watch the leaked trailer, but it confirms he has it) Why is this important? The Tesseract is an Infinity Stone. It has power Loki knows how to use, and he’s one of the few that do. What’s Infinity War about? Infinity Stones, and Thanos. The same Thanos who’s on the hunt for Loki AND the Tesseract. I honestly don’t think Loki’s taken it for some world domination shit this time round, I think he’s taken it for power and leverage. He’s acting intelligently and planning far ahead. This is given extra gravity when you remember that Loki is the only one in the Infinity War lineup who has met and knows Thanos, and that honestly did not go well for Loki at all.

- (On a side note, I just want to talk about Loki and Thanos; it’s been theorised/discussed for ages that Thanos met Loki in the void after his fall from Asgard in Thor 1, and gave him a deal: the mission of capturing Earth, finding the Tesseract, and the tools to do so. Now, Loki’s not really one to make deals unless he can subvert them, and so the whole way through Avengers his motives for attack to me seemed uncharacteristically illogical, although I can understand his primal emotional reasons for wanting to rule. But we also saw him looking very, very ill at the beginning of that film and in the Thor 1 credits scene, and being in obvious pain - he looked like a damn meth addict. Some fans have also noted that his eyes look blue during some scenes in Avengers, like he’s being mind controlled. I completely agree with this theory: that Thanos, recognising Loki’s power, tortured him, (with heat and fire, because how else do you torture a Jotun? It explains his appearance and injuries) and mind controlled him to enact the events of Avengers. And everything that happens thereafter in the MCU makes soooo much more sense when you think about it from the torture perspective. It explains a lot about the ‘big picture’ behind all of Loki’s decisions since. He has angered the most powerful man in the universe twice: failing in giving Thanos the Tesseract, AND remaining alive.

- Which brings me back to my point - Loki is the only one who has any possible comprehension of what’s coming, so taking the Tesseract easily interprets as him acting impulsively for reasons of his own safety, and possibly the safety of those around him (he takes it after his ‘redemption’ arc). I think he still has some kind of connection or knowledge of Thanos’ presence, maybe from torture, and he can sense when shit is about to go down - and we see the beginning of it going down at the end of Ragnarok. He’s also keeping his possession of it a secret, and for obvious reasons. Knowing he’d just taken the same item that he screwed everything up for last time would completely ruin his new trust-bond ‘redemption’ arc with Thor (I kinda hate using the word redemption tho - it’s obvious from Dark World that that’s not what Loki wants or really cares about) so, he’s going to use it in some kind of bamboozle, dodgy deal, Loki-esque interaction in the future .

- I really really reeaallllyy hope they don’t just turn Loki ‘back’ into a villain in IW. It would be an insult his character and the character work Taika’s done in Ragnarok. At this point it’s weak, cheap and easy character development and a trope that’s extremely overplayed. However, HOWEVER. It would equally break my heart to see him fall completely into the other side - the role of martyrdom, righteousness and self-sacrifice in IW. We already have dozens of characters who do that, and what makes Loki more loved than all of them is that he can do both - when and how he acts is fascinating to watch. He’s every inch a chaotic neutral, and I hope so much that Marvel keeps it like that. He survives because he has no morals, likes to play both sides and he’s smart about it. It makes him compelling, godamnit.

- With Tom’s movie contract and the amount of times they’ve ‘killed’ him off already, it’s looking likely he’ll survive Infinity War. (Not looking so good for Thor though 😭IW is seriously gonna kill me too)

- Some more mythology stuff… Although in the MCU Loki’s plot usefulness is as more of a ‘bad guy’ and not he’s not a central enough character to justify such an in depth plotline, there are plenty more things the myths can give him. For example, his own honest relationships, outside of Asgard’s influence. Loki has most likely experienced a much wider range of people, creatures and places in the universe than average. He’s got lots of little secrets tucked away. For example, in mythology he has another son, called Jormungand, a giant serpent. Not likely J will ever make it to the screen though, sadly. I think that the serpent shapeshifting story in Ragnarok was perhaps a nod to that. So was Odin’s 6-legged horse Sleipnir, another of Loki’s sons.

Secondly, and of greater interest to me: in the myths, Loki has a wife called Sigyn, the goddess of intelligence. (I love her already…) with whom he has these strange animalistic (likely shapeshifting) children. Now, I know IW is really too late along his storyline to be introducing someone like Sigyn, let alone as a love interest, but god damn would it be awesome if they did. Maybe it’s just me, but I think it would be truly satisfying and also extremely entertaining to see Loki get himself a girl. Superhero movies are so often plagued by the oppressive American binary of good and evil, wherein the good guy always gets the girl, and the villain is always miserable. Seeing Loki, (a character who we know consciously does bad things and fits very well the evil stereotype, but does good things as well, and plays both sides entirely to his own benefit) get the typical stamp of a good guy would make for a more interesting, rule-breaking plot. Please, MCU, don’t let Loki fall into this binary! Let him be both! It’s what made him so extremely damn popular! that and the fact that he’s smart and funny and Tom is extremely fucking hot lol

- I also really wanna see a bit more of his magical abilities - in his villain role so far we’ve been shown he’s smarter than half the MCU, extremely skilled in in magic and combat with knives, he can teleport, he can create illusions, he can fuck with people’s heads and more. His Valkyrie knife standoff scene was interesting in Ragnarok - I’m 100% sure he deliberately lost to Valkyrie to gain access to her memories- but Thor mentioned something way more interesting: Loki is a shapeshifter. And a really good one; he’s basically in a constant shift from Jotun to Asgardian. But to animals? That’s really fucking cool, and the snake story shows how easily he can hide in plain sight. (Y’all can get the cat!Loki y’all have always wanted.) Idk I just really wanna see more of what he can do. I think further abilities/aspects of his fighting style and personality will be revealed in future though, because having the Tesseract and knowing Thanos makes him into a major plot point for IW.

- lastly can I just say I’m really digging the 80s/rock soundtrack aesthetic Marvel is pushing for

- and the c i n e m a t o g r a p h y!! Got damn.

- just protect him please for the love of all that is holy.

- That is all. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Xxxx.

Monsters and Mythological Creatures

So, someone asked about monsters, and since I’ve been hoarding this long list of mythical beings for one of my own stories for the last like, three years, I decided to finally share it! This list is divided into categories for specific types of creatures. Each creature is accompanied by a definition or description, where it’s from, and other useful information.

Here we go:

SPIRITS AND GHOSTS:

  • Arae(Greek Mythology): Female spirits of curses, particularly curses that are placed by the dead, on the person responsible for their death.
  • Banshee(Gaelic Lore): A female spirit who brings death to her victim by screeching or wailing. Often depicted wearing green or red robes, with hair being described as either orange, red or yellow to mimic the flicker of flames. Can appear as a young beautiful women, or an old and frightening ‘hag’
  • Black Dog/Hell Hounds: Usually depicted as large, ghostly looking black dogs that come from hell. Typically, they roam the streets at night looking for pray to drag back to hell or devour.
  • Bogle(Gaelic Lore): A ghost like being whose sole purpose is to frighten and confuse humans and other creatures.
  • (El) Coco/  Cucuí (Typically Hispanic or Latin american Folklore) : A ghost like monster, much like the american boogeyman, used to strike fear into children. The description changes among different cultures. Sometimes described as ghosts with pumpkin heads, as large rattling skeletons, a female humanoid alligator like creature, or even a dragon like creature. (as a child, I imagined them more like skeleton ghosts)
  •  Demons : Malevolent spirits from Hell
  • Fox Spirits (Popular among Asian Folklore) : The Fox Spirit or the Nine Tailed Fox is a common spirit among east Asian cultures, usually depicted as a familiar with great magic power. They are often devious or mischievous, with a bad habit of tricking people. Usually, they are also capable of shape shifting into beautiful women. They can be a good, or a bad omen. Known as the  húli jīng (fox spirit) in China, the kitsune (fox) in Japan, and the kumiho (nine-tailed fox) in Korea.
  • Gashadokuro(Japanese Mythology): Spirits of people who died of starvation or in battle, and did not receive a proper burial. They take the form of massive skeletons, apparently 15 times taller then the average human. They roam the world after midnight, capturing lone travelers, and biting off their heads to drink their blood. They are said to be invisible and invincible. Though they can be warded off with  Shinto charms, and it’s said you can sense their presence if you hear a loud ringing in your ear.
  • Ghosts: Spirits of the undead that are trapped in the world of the living. Often resemble what they looked like alive, can be good, bad or neutral.
  • Grim Reaper: The Physical embodiment of death, arrives to take your soul to the after life.
  • Hulder or Huldra (Scandanvian Folklore) : Beautiful, seductive, female forest spirits that are primarily human with the exception of having a cows tail. Apparently come from beneath the earth, sometimes claimed to be a forgotten child of adam and eve. They are known as coal kindles, they would watch the fires of travelers while they slept, and ensure they would not go out. Males of this species are said to be hideous, with grotesquely long noses.
  • Ifrit (Middle Eastern): A death spirit believed to be drawn in by the life force or blood of the murdered. They tend to be fiery in nature(literally), and are said to either take the form of the deceased they were attracted to, or the form of Satan himself. Can be good or evil or neutral, but mainly considered to be malevolent, vengeful, evil, ruthless, or wicked.
  • Ittan-momen (Japanese Mythology): Now, this one sounds pretty harmless, but do not be fooled. Ittan-Momen is a sentient roll of cotton that flies through the air at night, and attacks and kills people by smothering them.
  • Incubus: No, I do not mean the Rock Band. An Incubus is a male demon that lies upon it’s victim, and supposedly steals their life force by having repeated sex with them. Their female counterpart is called a succubus.
  • Jinn (Arabian and Islamic mythology and theology) : Jinn, or more popularly known in western culture; the Genie, is a powerful spirit with free will, and thus can be good, evil, or neutral. Usually depicted with no spiritual form, or as humans with different animal parts, or as shadowy ghosts. Jinn play many different roles in different cultures. They are often seen as living in a parallel world to the human world.
  • Keres (Greek Mythology) : Daughters of the goddess Nyx, spirits of violent or unpeaceful death.
  • Kobalos (Greek Mythology) : Depicted as small, mischievous creatures that took to messing with people. They often pranked, frightened, or stole from people. In myth, they stole from Heracles while he slept. In one version, he gives them away as a present to the Lydian Queen. In another version, he forgives them, and lets them off the hook simply because he finds them amusing.  Greek myths depict the kobaloi as “impudent, thieving, droll, idle, mischievous, gnome-dwarfs”, and as “funny, little triksy elves” of a phallic nature. So they’re essentially annoying yet sort of funny gnome/elf/dwarves that resemble erect penises. Isnt mythology fun.
  • La Llorona aka The Weeping Women (Popular in northern and southern american folklore) : Usually the Ghost of either a women who was scorned by a man, and now she hunts for other awful men. Or, the Ghost of a women who cries as she searches for her dead children. The most traditional or typical story tells of a women who drowns her children in the river out of spite when her husband leaves her for a younger women. After realizing her children are dead, and she can not find them, she drowns herself as well. In the after life, she is not permitted to move onto heaven. Her soul will not be able to find peace until she finds her children, and thus she is doomed to wander the earth in search of them. In some stories, she will take lone children that resemble her own, and drown them in the river so they can take her children’s place.
  • Lamia(Greek Mythology) : A beautiful queen of Lybia. It’s said that she was a mistress of Zues. In one version, Zues’ Jealous wife Hera steals all of Lamias children, and turns her into a demon that hunts and devours others children. Other versions say that Hera killed all of Lamias children, and driven by the grief and suffering of her loss, goes insane, and starts stealing and eating others children out of envy. The repeated horrid act turns her into a monster. There is also a myth that Hera forced her to eat her own children, then cursed her to never be able to close her eyes, so that the image of her children's death will forever haunt her. Zues later grants her the ability to remove her eyes to appease her grief. In some descriptions, she has serpent like features, or the lower half of a snake. In others, her face is distorted. No matter the story however, it’s Hera’s fault.
  • Lares (Roman Mythology) : House hold or guardian spirits that each family traditionally has around their grounds. Statues of domestic Lares were typically placed at the table for family meals. Their presence and worship seemed to be very important.
  • Mare(Germanic or slavic Folklore) : a Ghost/ Spirirt or Goblin that sits on the chest of sleeping victims, and forces nightmares upon them. Other legends depict them as beautiful women that go into the dreams of men and seduce them before killing them. I personally prefer the sitting goblins.
  • Neck or Nokken (Germanic and Scandinavian Folklore) : Water Spirits usually depicted as a a shadowy monster lurking in the water, it’s eyes just above the surface. Other times, it’s described as a beautiful young man playing the fiddle or violin while resting in the water. Their enchanting songs drew women, men and children to them. Sometimes they are said to be peaceful, and will simply play for the humans, or possibly even move into the home of one who has fallen in love with them (though they often do not stay long), and sometimes they are said to lure people to their death with their beautiful song. Because pretty girls arent intimidating enough, you gotta go and mix them with spiders, right?
  • Manticore ( Persian Folklore) : Head of a human, body of a lion, tail of a poisonous porcupine, or a scorpion.

  • Scorpion Man : They have another name, but it’s way long, and I can’t find it right now. But they’re men who have the head and torso of a human, and the lower half of a scorpion. They are featured in the Babylonian version of The Epic of Gilgamesh.
  • Shapeshifters :Humans who can willingly take the form of any animal. Honestly, the idea of shape-shifting has always weirded me out. Because honestly, it sounds painful. Like, if you shape shift into something much smaller and structurally different then you, say, a bird for example, where do your bones go? Like, i figure some of your bones shrink or stretch with you to fit the animal, but some animals don’t have the exact same amount of bones as humans, so like, where do the bones go?? I’ve been asking this since I was like then, I have received no answers. I am concerned.

  • Chupacabra (Latin American Folk Lore) : A monster known for feeding off of livestock, especially goats. It’s name translates to ‘Goat Sucker’. The two most common descriptions of El Chupacabre are that of a strange wild dog that is mainly hairless, with a prominent spinal ridge, sunken in eyes, and large fangs and claws. The other descriptions shows it as a large reptilian creature with leathery or scaly green/gray skin, and sharp porcupine like needles going down it’s spine.  Unlike most predators, El Chupacabre drains it’s pray off their blood, and sometimes their organs, rather then eating the flesh.
  • Cerberus(Greek Mythology) :The three-headed dog that guards the entrance to Hades. It’s name is supposedly derived from the greek word for ‘Spotted’ or ‘Spot’. The capturing of Cerberus is claimed to be the final, and most difficult task of Heracles 12 trials.

  • Griffin  : A creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Sometimes, it also has the tail of a snake. Griffins are popular among several different cultural mythologies.
  • Hippalectryon (Greek Mythology) : An odd hybrid of a horse and a chicken. It’s front half is the horse, its back half is the chicken, including tail and wings. There is no solid idea of why such a myth exists. Some say it’s a creature of Poseidon, and meant to protect ships, others say it’s just a grotesque hybrid to amuse children. Some say it’s a pointless creature with no real purpose other then for decoration. Why else would someone make a rooster horse?
  • Hippocampus (Greek Mythology) : A sea creature with the upper body of a horse, and the lower body of  a fish. So, it is yet another odd horse hybrid from greek mythology.
  • Hippogriff (Greek Mythology): Because there’s no such thing as too many weird horse hybrids, meet the Hippogriff. Which has the front half and wings on an eagle, and the back half of a horse.
  • Huallepen (South American Folklore): A weird creature that lurks in lakes and ponds. It has the body of a (usually hairless) sheep, the head of a calf, and the twisted feet of a seal. • Kappa (Japanese Mythology) : Typically means ‘River Child’, these creatures are demons or imps that reside in the fresh water. They are often described as having a pool of water above their hand, that reflects their habitat and their own life force and their power. They are said to be about the size of a child, and somewhat human like in figure, with reptile like scales, a shell,  a beak, and webbed hands and feet. They are usually either green, yellow or blue. Kappa are used to warn children about the dangerous of wandering near the water alone, as legends say the creatures will lure people to water before dragging them in and drowning them. They’re also said to peak up women’s skirts, play pranks on human, attack humans, and even eat human flesh. All around, probably safe to stay away from Kappas.
  • Kraken (Norse Mythology) : A famous gigantic sea monster that’s known for attacking and sinking ships. It’s often depicted as a massive octopus or squid, sometimes with terribly sharp teeth.

That’s all I’ve got! I hope you liked it, and I hope people find it useful, because honestly, this thing took wayyyyy more time then I thought It would!

If anyone would like to add on any creatures I missed, or if you’d like to add something to any of the creatures that are already on the list, feel free too!

Note: I’ve gone ahead and edited, and added a couple new creatures from African Mythology that someone recommended!

Hey! Love your blog. A question: out of all cockles panels (JIB & honcon) witch one do you think is the gayest?

This is such a tough question!

Since we’ve gotten to see Jensen and Misha’s relationship develop over the course of about ten years, there are a lot of flavors of Gay to sort through! And it’s so hard to pick a favorite!

JIB2: bABY GAY

Bad and awkward jokes, weird distance and stiffness, nervous fidgeting and adjusting, Jensen constantly reaching out for reassurance, basically “do you like me do you like me do you like me” on repeat, god he is so desperate, and a little possessive because it’s all just so new, Misha’s playing it cool but poking fun at Jensen is way too fun to pass up (he also does humor him quite a bit because, yeah, ok, he’s cute), tender, NEITHER ONE OF THEM KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING BUT THEY’RE CLEARLY SMITTEN

  • Onstage orgasm??? Jensen has NO idea what to do with his face let alone the uncomfortable boner he’s sporting? “Am I turned on? Am I afraid? What is happening?”
  • THIS WAS THE BRACELET YEAR! They got each other matching jewelry? It’s so sickeningly high school I just - god, they’re so small. So innocent. So gay. Look at Jensen’s really bad hat.

It’s sweet and hilarious and also painfully embarrassing. Actual footage of Jensen and Misha today looking back on JIB2:

JIB3: Tense gay

This was a weird one because it’s the first Cockles panel after the alleged breakup. It’s probably my least favorite because nothing really Gay happens, but I do have to talk about it a liiiitle. There’s some distance between them and some awkward fumbling, but Jensen is trying REALLY HARD TO PUSH THROUGH and he even puts his bracelet from JIB2 on again, he’s extremely masculine and a little cocky (it’s very hot), it’s one of the really rare moments when Jensen takes control of a situation and pilots with his stage persona? Lots of “just dudes being guys” moments. Misha slowly thaws out and the mood improves but they’re not quite at a strong level of comfort yet. Weird moment when they no homo away Destiel that drags on for way too long, almost overcompensating.

  • Noteworthy: “We get a tingly feeling when we hear it so we know it’s you.”

JIB4: playful, charged dork nerds exploring their relationship

Best possible improvement after JIB3. Soft friendship, lots of blushing and “ums,” real shy and tender and a lot of tension that sneaks out in laughter and bad eye contact, which promptly gives way to wild energy and close hovering, stuttering and big smiles and adjusting, awkward gestures, constantly making fun of each other, pulling on pigtails and clumsy teasing, a kind of self-consciousness runs through everything but they are sweet and steady and push each other past the discomfort, so much sexual tension

  • THE WHOLE RESUME BATTLE DEBACLE???? Will there ever be anything more iconic than this? Utterly ridiculous, the ultimate flirty pigtail pulling
  • Flowers??? Most gay.
  • Honestly so flamboyant and funny this is where they start to really get comfortable with each other and it only gets better from here

JIB5 is like…. honeymooning Married And In Love gay

SO VERY GIGGLY, really dumb gags, soooo smiley!!! it’s actually stupid!!!, bodies under extreme gravitational pull like seriously they are constantly moving into each others’ space, HIP CHECKS!!!, reminiscing onstage together, no blushing just chill and happy and playful and secure in each other and themselves, heart eyes to the extreme

mayday, mayday!!!! man down!!!!!!

other highlights include:

  • THE ONSTAGE KISS THAT WASN’T EVEN PART OF THE COCKLES PANEL
  • Actually, I forgot, there were TWO onstage kisses, the other one happened when Misha uninvited just hopped up on the stage with Jensen and kissed him right on the cheek
  • It was so gay that I actually wrote a fic about it
  • This has nothing to do with anything but they both look so good. Jensen’s hair and Misha’s shirt (the color!!!) and he’s tan and they color coordinate and they’re so happy and ugh I just love it. One of the most aesthetically pleasing panels even if Mish is a string bean

JIB6: Ultimate Soft Dad gay

Comfort, easiness, not extraordinarily Gay™ but clear love there. Very family oriented with a hint of dirtiness? They keep the romance alive but their lives are so much richer and fuller and they’ve come together over it, you know what I’m just going to start listing things you’ll get the idea

  • “My friend and protector”
  • “Save it for when we take our pants off” *Jensen reaches for his belt*
  • bulldozing and steamrolling over one another, Jensen flat out ignoring Misha for several minutes to talk about his own thing, much to Misha’s annoyance
  • they literally go on for 15 minutes unprovoked in their own little world before realizing that they should probably take questions, “i think this is just two idiots up here talking”
  • big laughs big laughs everything is hilarious jensen is such a disaster
  • touching <333
  • drinking “apple juice” with their faces on their knees side by side
  • tum tum tum tum tu mtu tmutmtut mmm m SHOWIN’ OFF THE DAD BOD. JEN IS WELL FED AND GLOWING.
    • Misha: “In one slight flip of the wrist, you just sold out Jus in Bello 2016”
  • Misha leans in and smells Jensen’s armpit and Jensen just stands still? and lets him? what kind of weird domestic bullshit…….
  • “Jensen doesn’t have any annoying qualities”
  • Riding innuendos
  • some actually really great JMDV content
  • Dad talk! Talking about kids and poop! Together!
  • Dad dancing, I’m cringing, I’m upset

JIB7: settled down, quiet but steady gay

A Good Mood, composed but really no fucks given, the throes of sexual passion have left them behind to be replaced by soft introductions and quiet comfort in each others’ space, overflowing compliments but also constant poking fun at each other, reading each others’ minds, silent communication, in sync and slowly getting closer and closer together, sass, innuendos like you would NOT BELIEVE and from MINUTE ONE, but then they also get excited talking about…. phone plans and saving money, commiserating about being old and bitter together, rambling, oh no, much more chill than last year

  • Misha’s full bodied laughter, kicks his actual feet up in the air so we see the bottoms of his shoes
  • Guitar playing :(
  • Both influence and When Harry Met Sally making… a comeback
  • Jensen swearing more than once, two F-bombs
  • “I TURN MY BACK FOR TWO MINUTES”

JIB8: a disaster, chaotic gay, objectively PEAK Gay

y’all. listen. wild ride from start to finish. just watch it.

HonCon 2017: I don’t even know what this is

it literally just happened so bear with me if this is incoherent but we got about 40 minutes - not even a full hour!! - in which Jensen Ackles told the story of when he first realized he was in love with Misha Collins while wearing matching shirts that he bought for the two of them and it’s so……… unbelievable. i honestly don’t have enough critical emotional distance at this point to rate this in comparison to other cockles panels but i know without a doubt that this moment will go down in my book as one of the absolute best ones

So how is one expected to choose!!! They are all gay and all terrible!!!! We’ve gotten to see an entire spectrum of relationship development, from crush to starting over to securely together to honeymooned to new dads to Old Dads. It’s incredibly rewarding and all you have to do is pick out your favorite stage of the relationship to get your best answer.

Of all of these though, I have to say that JIB4 and JIB8 are probably my favorites, with JIB5 and JIB6 also being a very strong contenders. I like the panels that show off Jensen and Misha’s friendship first, the moments where they can really let loose and just be silly with each other without reservations, whatever form that takes. I live for that.

SORRY I DIDN’T REALLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTION AND I DEFINITELY WENT ON SEVERAL TANGENTS OH WELL

2

Steve Yockey (probably): Ok, let’s see. So far we have this:

Montagues/Capulet/God/John: “You shall not fall in love with those guys on the other side of the fence.”

Juliet/Romeo/Cas/Dean: “Haha, lol, oops. Too late.”

Cas/Juliet: *“Dies”*

Romeo/Dean: “Oh dear, how shall I live without my Sun? *kills himself*”

Cas/Juliet: *Comes back to life*

Andrew Dabb (probably): Oh good, good. I started this metaphor in “Bloodlines”, but they didn’t pick me up for a season! *fumes**fumes*

Steve Yockey: Ok, so now - Romeo got the message, and went to a church to find Juliet dead… So I guess Dean will get the message, and go to a church to find Cas alive?

Andrew Dabb: Awesome. So now, how do we make sure that people get this parallel?

Jerry Wanek (probably): No worries, I gotcha! Look at this visual -

Andrew Dabb: But Jerry, just ONE cross! We don’t want to overdo it.

Jerry Wanek: Lol, sure, you got it.

Andrew Dabb: Amazing job, you guys! We repaired Shakespeare. Next week: Brokeback Mountain.

Hello, could you write this for a Drarry drabble? Soulmate AU where you experience unfathomable, collapse, sob and heave, pain when your soulmate is about to die. Draco Malfoy has experienced this pain at least 3 times and keeps a journal for it. He has felt this pain the day after the dark lord was vanquished, (maybe near-death from abusive/neglectant relatives?), when Quirrel burnt to death, basilisk biting Harry, etc. Bonus if Draco loves his soulmate and worries every pain may be The Death.

I don’t remember the first time so I can’t write it down. Mother and Father told me I was a baby and I got hurt and they didn’t know why. They took me to St. Mungo’s and a healer said I was fine.  My soulmate died. That is why I hurt so bad.  I thought I was going to die yesterday.  I am alive still. The healer said maybe my soulmate got recreated and bad luck made my soulmate die again so soon.  The healers want me to write it down.  Maybe if it ever happens again I can write that too.  They don’t think it will happen. I hope I can see them if they get recreated again.

Mother had the healer come see me at Hogwarts so I didn’t have to leave school.  She called it an “episode.” I had another “episode” she said.  It doesn’t sound as bad as it was.  I don’t remember it hurting so bad last time.  Last time I didn’t cry.  I think I cried because I was sad.  Not just because my chest hurt.  I couldn’t breathe for a minute.  I’m supposed to write down what it felt like.  It felt like when you smash your finger in a door but not just on your finger. On your whole body.

Ragnarok.
All the people of Asgard know the legend of this unique and catastrophic event. It’s the destruction of Asgard, and of his people.
No one, though, had ever really thought about it, until Asgard lost the King of the Gods.
Odin is dead.
In the last two years, while we thought that Odin sat on the throne, actually Loki was: he had made everyone believe that he was dead, and had taken his father’s place.
I cried Loki’s death. He and I are friends since childhood; along with Thor, we were inseparable. Although they were two princes, and I.. a normal person, they were very kind to me. The friendship between me and Loki is much stronger than that between me and Thor.
In fact, as in a children’s fairy tale, I fell in love with Loki. Too bad he doesn’t know; I decided not to say anything to him. His rejection would be too embarrassing, and my heart would break.
When Thor found out what Loki did, they started off in search of Odin; but now it was all over. The King of the Gods is dead, and this led to the release of Hela, the Goddess of Death. Thor and Loki’s sister.
The two Gods tried to stop her, but it was useless.
Thus, while Thor and Loki are dispersed, to Asgard chaos reigns. After completely destroying the army, Hela sat on the throne, ready to conquer the other kingdoms; but, coming to the Bifrost, she discovered that the Sword -the weapon to activate the Bifrost- had been stolen.
I know exactly who took the Sword: Heimdall, who was hiding in the mountains of Asgard. He, after he was able to find me, asked me to help him. In fact, we are trying to save more Asgardians as possible from Hela.
For now we are hidden, but time is running out, and soon the Goddess of Death will find us.
I’m sitting next to some kids, and I try to reassure them, telling them that everything will be fine, and that soon the God of Thunder will save us. Will it really happen? Thor can’t be dead, and even Loki.. I know that both are alive, and they will come back to help us.
“Y/n?”
I raise my eyes, and I see Heimdall quickly walking toward me; something is going to happen, I understand from his eyes.
His eyes are beautiful; every time I look at them, they always have a strange light, and their color, a shining gold, makes me feel like it’s all going to be fine in one way or the other. Behind  Heidmall, there’s the splendid Brifost Sword, which he protects with his own life.
“Heimdall, what happens?”
I know it’s a stupid question; only one thing can disturb Heimdall. The arrival of Hela. In fact, he warns me in a low voice that we must bring all the people away from where we are now, before the Goddess arrives. All of us, we head to Brifost; maybe, if Hela is distracted, Heimdall can use the Sword, and we can run away. But when we get to the Bridge, waiting for us is a huge monster with the appearance of a wolf: it’s Fenrir, Hela’s personal animal.
I scream to people to go back, but on the other side of the Bridge are coming Hela soldiers. We are trapped.
I look at Heimdall, and nodding toward him, I pull my daggers -Loki has given them to me so many years ago- and I prepare for the battle. Fenrir roars, and starts running toward us. I try to use my body as a shield, but the more he approaches, and the more I feel smaller than he is.
Suddenly, we hear noises in the distance; I look up, and I see a small ship coming towards us. From inside it falls something: a huge green creature, which immediately launches on Fenrir.
The ship from where the strange creature falls stops on the Bridge, and I see two people coming out from the inside. A woman, and Thor. I smile, and I run fast to him.
“Y/n!”
Thor embraces me, while he tells me he’s happy to see that I’m fine. My smile soon disappears, noticing the absence of someone. Loki is not together with his brother.
“Loki is alive, Y/n. But I don’t think we’ll see him.”
A huge hole is formed in my stomach; Loki is alive. But he preferred to be saved, to save his people. I nod, accepting the reality. Perhaps Thor has always been right: Loki only cares about himself.
Thor moves away from me, headed toward Hela, intending to fight her. Meanwhile, I help people walk to the entrance of the Bifrost, but again, we are trapped. Outside, there are other soldiers who run toward us.
I begin to attack them, together with the other Asgardians who want to defend their lives and that of others, even if they aren’t soldiers. I’ve got the cable to fight –in fact, Loki and Thor taught me many fighting techniques when we were little- but I’m just me against hundreds of warriors. When it seems that everything is lost, from the fog, a strange creature appears, which seems to be entirely made of stone. At first, he seems to rise, but then I realize he’s standing on a huge spaceship, which it is approached to the bridge.
Other creatures come out of the ship, flinging on the soldiers of Hela; finally, their leader comes out of the ship: Loki. I widened my eyes when I see him get off the ship’s ramp with a smile on his face.
“Please, feel free to come down.”
People start running to the spaceship to get safe, while some of them continue to fight. I keep staring at Loki, who finally notices my presence in the midst of all this chaos; I thought I would never see him again.
Suddenly, someone makes me back to reality: one of Hela’s soldiers strikes me behind, clenching his hands around my throat. I give him an elbow right in the stomach, and turning around, I stab him with my dagger. The soldier falls to the ground, lifeless.
“I note with pleasure that you’ve become stronger.”
I turn around, and I see Loki approaching me; the first thing I would do is hug him and squeeze strong to me, but I refrain. Not to let him understand the feelings that I feel, I’ve always tried to make him believe that jokingly I hate him.
“Glad to see you, Loki. I thought you were dead. Again.”
Loki smiles, but we don’t have much time to chat; many other soldiers are threatening us.
Meanwhile, the battle of Thor against Hela moves to the bridge; Thor seems to have become stronger, though, Hela is very powerful, and seems to have the best on his brother.
So, Thor comes up with an idea, a weird and crazy idea: to make the Ragnarok happen.
His plan is to awaken Surtur, and let him fight with Hela, until the complete destruction of Asgard.
However, Surtur’s crown is in the castle, where Odin preserved the most important and powerful relics.
It’ll be Loki to go to the castle, and take the crown, while Thor distracts Hela.
“I’m going with Loki.” I tell the two brothers, who they immediately beg me to get on the ship and save me, along with the other Asgardians.
“I can’t escape, Thor. I want to fight. And then someone has to check that Loki doesn’t do stupid things. Again.”
Me and Thor look at the God of Mischief, who pretending to be offended by my words, he rolls his eyes.
In recent years, Loki has done horrible things –he tried to conquer a world that it didn’t belong to him, and then he faked his death, and left Odin alone on Earth- but in spite of everything, I can’t hate him. He’s still Loki, my friend.
Thor tells me to be careful, and after hugging him, I follow Loki in the castle.

This is the craziest plan I ever heard, I think to myself as I walk silently through the corridors of the castle along with Loki.
We should try to save our home, and instead we are about to resurrect Surtur, who will destroy it. And if we can’t even stop Hela with him? We will all die.
“Are you all right?”
I turn to Loki, who looks at me worried. Even if it doesn’t seem, I can feel that he is also afraid of what might happen.
Before I didn’t have time to observe him well; his hair grew a little. Seeing Thor with short hair, I thought how Loki would be without his long hair. It would emphasize his face and pale skin. He’s wearing different clothes from those he always wears; this uniform is perfect for him. But I believe that whatever he wore, I would love it. Now that I think, if Loki and I die, he will never know that I’m in love with him.
“We’re about to destroy Asgard. Our people might die. Yeah, never been better.” I say sarcastically. Should I tell him? I’m so afraid..
Finally, I and Loki arrive in the relics room, and we walk quickly toward the crown of Surtur; suddenly, however, Loki stops. I turn to look at what has attracted his attention: the Tesseract.
“Loki.. don’t even think about it.”
Loki looks at me, and sighing, he begins to walk again
“I don’t want to steal the Tesseract. Again.”
A sad smile comes to my face; because of Tesseract, Loki killed innocent people, but eventually Thor managed to stop him.
“You don’t want to steal it again, I know. I feel it.”
“Really? And what do you feel? I betrayed my brother, more than once.”
As Loki says these words, he approaches the Surtur crown, and after taking it from his hands, I and he go away, ready to resurrect the creature.
“You betrayed Thor, but you’ve always come back to him to help him. When Thor came back, he told me I would never see you again. Yet you are here, to try to save your people. Our people.”
Loki looks at me while still holding Surtur’s crown. I approach to him, and as I recover the crown, our hands touch.
“Actually Loki, God of Mischief, you’re a good man.”
I try to say more; maybe this is the exact time I should tell Loki that I love him. Like in a fairy tale..
Instead, I lower my gaze, remaining in silence. Then, I approach the Fire of Life, and I put the Surtur crown inside. As soon as I walk away, everything around me and Loki begins to shake. Me and the God of Mischief exchange a look, and immediately we run as fast as possible towards the castle doors, to go out and reach safety. Surtur is about to arrive, and he will soon destroy the first thing he will be facing: the castle. The place where exactly we are now and Loki.
I’m running as fast as possible, while Loki is exactly in front of me. Suddenly, I see cracks forming on the walls, growing more and more up to the ceiling. I block when I see part of the walls fall straight to me. I cover my head with my arms, but I feel my body move; when I open my eyes, I see Loki’s face a few inches from mine, he’s obviously worried.
“Are you okay?” he asks me as I swallow deeply; it’s the first time that he’s so close to me, and despite everything around us is falling, I can’t help but think of his lips so close to mine.
Unable to say a word, all I do is nod.
Loki helps me to get up, and immediately we start to run away. On the corner of my eye, I look behind what’s going on; the castle is on fire.
Suddenly, I snatch myself against Loki’s back; I turn to find out why he stopped, and my body freezes. The fire has now surrounded us.
“What are we going to do?” I scream to Loki. He approaches me, and he tightens my body to his; I blush, and not because of the fire.
“Close your eyes.”

At my awakening, everything is confused.
The first thing I remember is the conversation between myself and Loki; then I threw Surtur’s crown into the fire, and then his awakening.
The castle was beginning to fall one piece at a time, due to Surtur growing more and more. Loki and I started to run, and then I remember anything else. Maybe something hit me, maybe I fainted.
I look around: surely we are no longer on Asgard. The room I am in isn’t very big, there is only one bed, where I’m relaxed, a small furniture with a large mirror, and a window. I get up quickly, and approaching the window, I’m breathless. Outside there’s.. nothing. It’s all dark, here and there are some rocks, some smaller, some bigger. They are asteroids. We are in the space.
The door behind me opens, and Thor enters in the room. He looks at the bed, but when he sees that it’s empty, he glances through the room until his eyes stand on me.
“Thor.”
He comes to me, and clutches me in his arms, whispering to be happy that finally I woke up.
“What happened?”
“I don’t know. Surtur was born, the castle was destroyed, and before I got on the ship, I saw you lying on the Bridge, helpless. I took you in my arms, and then we escaped.”
“Where’s Loki?”
Thor low the gaze to avoid mine; he sits on the bed, and I follow him. His silence makes me feel uncomfortable; I’m afraid of what he will say.
“I think.. I don’t know, maybe.. Loki isn’t there. I didn’t find him.”
I froze; Thor only found me on the Bridge. But maybe Loki escaped alone, maybe he didn’t want to come with us. The God of Mischief is always saved.. right?
“He’s alive, Thor. I feel it. Sooner or later we’ll see him.”
Thor looks at me, and nodding at my words of hope, he smiles. He still loves his brother after all. He also hopes that Loki is fine.
About twenty minutes later, I sit next to the window of my room, watching the infinite darkness of space; from Asgard I saw the sky in a completely different way. Only now I understand his true beauty. I think back to Loki, and because he didn’t want to come with us on the ship. Why did he want to leave us again? Why did he abandon me again?
“Are you sad for something?”
I jump, and in front of me, just a few feet away, there’s Loki, with a brilliant smile on his face. I smile, and I step forward toward him to embrace him, but immediately I stop. Loki seems confused; is he really that in front of me, or is it just an illusion?
“Why every time something horrible happens, you make everybody believe that you are dead, and in fact you are alive?”
“It must be my nature.” Loki says, smiling; I roll my eyes, but his laughter makes me smile too. If he’s here, illusion or not, at least means he’s alive.
"What happened in the castle?”
“The fire enveloped us; I hold you to me, and we’re gone because of my powers. But you’re faint; don’t worry. It happens when you’re too close to a beautiful God like me.”
I make a hysterical laugh when I hear his words; the funny thing is that he’s right. Well, probably I’m fainted because the fire, and the sudden ’teleporter’. But a bit is also his fault.
“I’m glad you’re alive Loki. Even if you’re not really here.”
Loki furrows, and slowly he takes a few steps toward me; my body freezes as he gets closer and closer. I’m afraid if I try to touch him, he can disappear, and this time forever.
“Y/n, I’m really here.” Loki says as if he had read my thoughts. His hand is approaching my face, and a shiver runs through my back when Loki’s soft hand touches my cheek. I look up, and my eyes meet his; Loki is getting closer to me, and I’m breathless. Is he really doing what he is doing? Loki, the God of Mischief, my friend that I love since I was a child, and I never said anything to him.. he’s kissing me. I don’t move, and I feel my face blush at the same time when Loki turns away from me, a grin appears on his face.
“W-why did you do it?” I ask Loki with the few words I can say.
“You thought I was just an illusion.”
“Well, you could shake my hand, or hug me, or give me a slap, or shake my hand..”
I close my mouth, no longer knowing what to say. Loki stares at me with a grin on his face as I feel more embarrassed.
“I missed you Y/n. I really missed you.”
