is all i have to say about that

Personal responsibility

So someone messaged me to ‘take down’ a post I’d reblogged and said it was “weird I was 4 years back into their archive”…  I wasn’t in their archive.  I had simply done a search for a funny imgur post, and their post came up.  They messaged me, very curtly, to remove it and explained why…  After hearing why, I understand, however, if this video poses such a threat, why is it still viewable and rebloggable by the general public?  This seems like a thing that should have been taken down ages ago.

There seems to be an ongoing pattern of behavior here that’s worrisome. People are holding complete strangers responsible for every trauma that has happened to them.  There’s no way we all can read each other’s minds and pasts.  Most of us are just here for fandom, jokes, cats, and general escapism.  Hell, we all have our own traumas, every last one of us.  If someone misunderstands a post you made, or reblogs a photo or video that brings bad memories for you, we have literally no idea.  You can either continue to message people (in not so nice ways) to alert them to your discomfort, or you can simply remove the thing, block it, blacklist it, etc.  That ensures your well being a lot more than continuing to expect everyone else to simply ‘know’ about your pain.

We can’t hold everyone else responsible for our own troubles, memories, traumas, etc.  Take your own well being into your hands as much as possible, as really that’s the strongest defense you have.  The rest of us might be willing to help, but it’s not a burden that should be forced onto us without us even knowing.

I’m seriously considering turning the Stay-at-Home Stan AU into a legit multichap for AO3.

would anyone be interested in it?

Hi, 7goodangel. I am here to ask you about PaperJam as a shy, smol and innocent being (mainly thegreatrouge made him be). There has been some conflicts regarding his trait. Some said his canonical personality is a jerk, like what you wrote in his bio / info and some said that is severely wrong and being shy, (which made him shipped with Fresh), is his canonical personality. What are your thoughts about this? I mean, it is your character and people are taking control of it. Don't you disagree?

Well… I have talked to people and seen public conversations and this has happened several times to me over months. I guess I’ve gotten a little numb to it now… or maybe it’s due to school that I haven’t given it the attention that it deserves. Probably due to school.

I just can’t update constantly like others - even though some others in school were and are able to update constantly. I can’t keep going around and holding up my bio of PJ and police people. It’s exhausting to me… it really takes up the small bit of free time I have.

I think after I get a solid job that I’ll be able to go around better… but anyway - back to your question.

While I love seeing interpretations and do not want people to be limited by something and have their imaginations go forth… it’s proving that a huge con comes with that mentality - which you have pointed out. A lot of people swear that PJ is the cute, innocent interpretation that really, did get PJ popular in the first place. While I did have him as a jerk from the beginning - I kinda kept that info to my RP blog - so you could say it is my fault this is all happening and I do think that. I could of done something to make it not as bad as it is now…

It’s just like the NSFW stuff… people just assume the first thing and run with it. And it really does make me feel like I really am not needed for my own character at points.

It’s a struggle - I don’t want to have people stop interpreting PJ within AUs… but I also don’t want people to just see him as an innocent child to ship with Fresh.

And I’m still trying to find the best solution to it.

But… I feel like the damage is already done. It’s too late for me to talk to all of these people going around swearing on their life that PJ is canoncally like Rouge’s interpretation/AUs. It feels like an hopeless battle to me.

And I guess I needed someone to ask me this question so then I can fully say my thoughts on this.

So in short, while I love creativity and don’t want to snuff it out (considering some people would probably think I’m doing that already with saying “No Sin”), I still don’t like it. It irritates me, irks me, frustrates me, and I feel like even as the person who thought of PJ in the first place, my voice isn’t enough. Communities seem like they don’t care about artists unless they reach a ‘certain goal of popularity’ or seem like they have a more professional style of art. I know I do not reach either of those titles.

People misspell my username all the time - I actually claimed ‘7goodangle’ on tumblr for that reason.

People still say “I’m too lazy to find who made PJ” when they clearly mentioned they looked at the bio on the wiki.

People still go around arguing others on the canon ship of OmniPJ and swearing that FreshPaper is the true canon ship, when all people are pointing out is that they need to keep the canon ship in mind when going around with information.

Even just basic personality traits… and these things are happening on sites that I do not nor want an account for.

I still want others to have fun - to be happy; but I don’t know… I guess I’m cutting out my own happiness to get everyone else happy? I want to eventually write a version of PJ within his own universe and story… and he is more like the version I created within the UT verse. Not exact - but close. Though who knows… I might shove PJ to the side and replace his role with another character. I’m still weighing options.

Cause PJ was the first character I ever put this much time and thought into… my first character that was balanced, well rounded…

And what happens?

…well.

You said it Anon.

They took it - changed it (initially as an AU but now people think it’s canon) - and I can’t do much about it. Due to school and not much free-time… due to how many don’t know the true creator… and just back talking anyone who is just mentioning it to people who swear by it.

As an artist and a character designer…

It makes me not want to show designs, characters, and stories ever again online.

Considering if this is how I was treated on the first one… why even take a chance at a second one? If it has brought me so much stress, frustration, and time… why even try it again?

I said I was only going to do fanart so if anyone stole it, it didn’t really matter.
I think I should have stuck with that thought process.

In conclusion, there are some major things to take away here. First – that yes, I do not like how it has skewed this far to the point of arguing over a fandom version with the canon. Canon is canon and I get the different AUs – this is too far. Way too far. I am emotionally drained from this – from this whole mess that I have been defending throughout majority of PJ’s lifespan. I will state this – Paper Jam is my character. He is my original character that I created more than a year ago. And the UT AU fandom took my character and warped him to something he is not and all of his original meaning is lost. I do not like to hurt others or make other sad – but I must put my foot fully down. This miscommunication needs to stop. I am tired of repeating things over and over and I have past my breaking point time and time again. I just want people to see PJ how he really is… and I wish that people could be focusing more on the reality of him instead of the alternate that they all claim as truth.

Final words: I still like Undertale – I still like creating characters and having fun – but the Undertale AU fandom is ridiculous now. The Amino UT community is insanity in an app, and there is a lot of stuff that has made many artists and creators to their breaking point and leaving the fandom entirely. Everyone in this fandom needs to take ten steps back and look at what they are doing. Go back to the game. Play it again – watch your favorite let’s player’s videos of it again.

And just… food for thought… please don’t jump the gun on someone else’s OC’s personality and actions.

I do not want anyone to experience what I had.

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

Humans are Weird: Spices

Alien: Today in my “Human Studies” book, I’m reading about human foods.

Human: Ooh, cool.

Alien: But I’m not sure this is accurate. It says here that humans purposely ingest a plant high in a pain-causing chemical, capsaicin.

Human: Oh, peppers? Yeah. Spicy.

Alien: But why would you want to eat something that causes you pain?

Human: Some people like the burn. I think it causes the same sort of reaction as drinking alcohol…?

Alien: That activity doesn’t make sense to me either. Can we discuss it after?

Human: Sure.

Alien: So, these “peppers.” Do you enjoy eating them?

Human: Me? Well, not by themselves. But I do like somewhat spicy foods. My brother, though, he likes them much hotter. He’s eaten some really spicy peppers, even ate a ghost pepper by itself.

Alien: Ghost pepper.

Human: Yeah, it’s the spiciest natural pepper. His face got pretty red, and he got the hiccups.

Alien: That… doesn’t sound like a healthy reaction.

Human: It just means that it’s a really spicy pepper. I mean, if I ate one of those, it might kill me, but he was fine.

Alien. Why would it kill you?

Human: Too spicy. You have to have a tolerance for capsaicin or it can literally kill you. And the ghost pepper is so hot that to handle it, you gotta wear gloves.

Alien: Your planet has plants that can KILL people, and which you can’t handle directly, and your brother ATE ONE, by ITSELF??

Human: Yeah.

Alien: …

Human: He says that when he gets desensitized to ghost pepper, he wants a Carolina Reaper.

Alien: I’m almost afraid to ask.

Human: …

Alien: What’s a Carolina Reaper?

Human: A pepper scientifically engineered for spiciness. It’s currently the world’s hottest pepper.

Alien: *stares at human in disbelief*

Alien: *stares at human studies book*

Alien: *stares at human again*

Alien: *whispers to self* How… how are humans real?

what if we just stole NO cars and took the bus

AND ANOTHER THING!!! does Oda seriously expect us to buy this bullshit about Big Mom finding Pudding creepy because of her third eye?? LIKE C’MON, this is the same Big Mom who has expressed her wishes to diversify her family—

AND the same Big Mom who has a rather disturbing library collection full of rare creatures who she keeps alive, just barely, for her own amusement—

and ALSO the same Big Mom who affectionately treated Brook, the one and only known living skeleton, as her new play doll—

but she draws the line upon seeing Pudding’s third eye???

yeah sorry, but i don’t buy this shit for even one second because it makes absolutely No. Fucking. Sense. At. All.

There’s nothing childish about caring.

crimson-hope  asked:

Hi Love you guys and your reactions. Especially the teen tag. But my request is for a child Inquisitor (5-11) having such a natural way with animals that even the dragons like them, and having the inner circle and Krem(because I love him) react. Please & Thank you.

Cassandra: She’s about to jump to their defense when a bear walks up to the party, but all the bear does is sniff the child and lick their face, to which they laugh and gently pat its head. She still pulls them away and warns them against interacting with wild animals, but is nevertheless in awe over how they charm creatures, be it horses, nugs, ravens, dogs, whatever. “I knew a girl that was a little like you.” she remarks. “It is a good trait to have, being gifted with animals. They sense goodness within you.”

Blackwall: He watches with a mix of amusement and awe as all the horses in the stables hurry to greet them every time they walk by, and he’s astounded as animals almost never attack the party. “Maker’s breath. Are you an animal whisperer? That’s amazing.” he remarks.

Iron Bull: He knew they were good with animals, and always admired it, but he stops and stares, slack-jawed, as they hug the side of the head of a dragon, who’s practically purring. They had wandered off from camp, and he ran out to find them. They see him, and he gestures for them to come back. He warns them to be careful of wild animals, of course, and not to wander from camp, but– “Wow, Imekari. That was– I knew you were good with animals, but… an ataashi whisperer. Wow.

Sera: She tries to get them to help her with pranks– she knows they like animals, so she figures they won’t mind helping gathering lizards to put in Solas’ bedroll. She stops as the lizards, big and small, seem not intimidated by the kid, and she watches as they crawl along their hands and arms, and as the child giggles in delight. She also sees how happy the horses are to see the Herald, among other animals in the Inquisition. “Wow,” she comments and giggles, “critters like you, eh? Means you’re good. Good for you!”

Cole: “They feel safe around you,” he says happily, “calm and sweet, sometimes bearing food, not wanting violence, a friend. You are a good person and a good friend.”

Varric: Their nickname becomes Charmer for their ability to charm any creatures. He gives them all sorts of books and stories about animals and encourages their interest and ability with animals. “They’re your first rapt audience, Charmer.” he says with a grin.

Dorian: He’s never really spent that much time around non-human or elven or dwarven or qunari animals before (Mod Sarah headcanon: they’re all under the species Homo sapiens, only perhaps separated by subspecies, assuming we’re using a Linnean system for Thedosian creatures) so it strikes him odd the first time he really stops to watch animals fawn over the Herald. He watches for a long time, awed by how readily these animals seem to relax around them, and comments to them later how impressed he is and how much he admires their skill.

Solas: He has met people like them before, readily capable of soothing animals– he’s pretty good at it, too, but not quite as good as them. He likes spending time with the kid as they spend time with animals, and he gets to talking with them. It’s nice to get to know each other and bond over the animals.

Vivienne: She doesn’t have much of an interest in animals, and comments little on it, but she admires how they keep animals from attacking the party. She introduces them to the horses she and Bastien keep, and smiles as they enjoy interacting with the horses and petting them gently. If they behave themselves well, she talks to the advisers about getting them a pet of some sort– even a nug, to her distaste, if they care for it properly. “It will be a good way to introduce them to responsibility. I have no doubts they’ll make us proud.”

Josephine: She thinks it’s adorable and oh so charming. She gives them all sorts of trinkets and books about animals to keep them occupied, and likes to see who and what they’ve befriended. It still makes her nervous to hear from the others about dangerous animals being friendly with the Herald, and she always warns them away from them– no matter how friendly they are, they’re still wild animals, not pets and not to be toyed with, but it amazes her all the while.

Leliana: She likes them. She likes them because the nugs, even the wild ones outside the gates, know no fear of the Herald, and her ravens (even the particularly ornery one, Baron Plucky, that her agents fear) flock to greet them when they come upstairs. She never comments on it– she just admires how much the ravens croon as they gently stroke their beaks and feathers.

Cullen: Fereldens are inclined to like people who are good with animals, especially dogs, and most of all mabaris. They believe the dogs can pick out good people, and Cullen agrees. So when he sees the dogs brought in by scouts and some recruits, they all seem to love the Herald, licking their face and wagging their tags rapidly. Like Leliana, he seldom comments on it, but he loves it.

ROWANS HEART BREAKING WHEN HE SEES CELAENA AND NOT AELIN THIS IS TOO MUCH

NOOOOO listen i know like……can you imagine? Rowan having to react to Celaena? Celaena, who can’t stomach excessive contact or expression of love? Celaena, who stepped away from him and his attempt to comfort her when Arobynn was killed? Celaena, who wanted to die and was very much suicidal and depressed, who begged for trouble so she could feed on her own misery?

This is the Celaena that Rowan knows, that Rowan helped come out of the darkness. Celaena is Aelin’s defense mechanism. Aelin turned to Celaena’s anonymity, her ruthlessness and wicked, cunning nature, when she didn’t have the strength to face her parents’ deaths. Or Sam’s. Or Nehemia’s. Or Endovier. Celaena is the assassin who will win at all costs, prevail against all odds, and not feel anything but the killing calm and writhing anger beneath it. But…. Aelin is the Warrior. Aelin is the hope, the dream, of a better world. Aelin can’t cut corners like Celaena did. Not as a queen, at least. Aelin had to peer into the shadows and show them her flame to come out of her despair in Heir of Fire. She had to work and continues to have to work for Aelin to triumph in the face of everything going on, every single day. Being Aelin is a constant battle for her. One that she and those around her are helping develop.

So for Rowan to have to cross oceans and endure her absence for so long, only to find her having retreated into Celaena’s comforting shadow and darkness….it’s a step back. It’s Aelin’s crutch. and I would never blame her for needing that in the isolation, the torture, the loneliness, but I can only imagine how that could impact Rowan as well. Because Rowan won’t be able to slip into who he was when Lyria was murdered. If Aelin has shifted into Celaena, he can’t give up too. He has to hold the line. For the both of them. And for Rowan to tell Aelin how much he loves her, how much hope he has for her, and for Aelin to be in Celaena’s mentality….that’s heartbreaking. Celaena was never able to reciprocate those things—not to Sam, or Chaol, or Dorian. Even if she wanted to, she couldn’t. Not while being the Celaena-branded coward that doesn’t face the enormity of her responsibilities. So Rowan finding Celaena instead of Aelin in Maeve’s hold….that’s utterly devastating.

Anyway………I got carried away and now I’m crying. Oops. U asked for it. But yes yeah that’s how I feel about Aelin falling back on Celaena while being tortured by Cairn/Maeve in tog6. And yes, I will most definitely be writing fanfics on this. I literally can’t help myself.
