More on Lotor’s Downfall

Or rather, why he may not be redeemed or heard from again. (Which is worst case scenario)

I found myself re-watching episodes as a friend of mine began their journey through the amazingness that is Voltron (yes, though I may be sometimes dissatisfied with the show, I still love it to pieces.)

Here, Season 3 Episode 1. Lotor’s introduction as a different type of ruler to the Galra throne. He takes on Throk, and when he wins, he says and quote:

Which also applies for Lotor himself in the season 7 finale. However, his aggression towards the team isn’t unjustified, since it was Allura as we recall, who compared Lotor to his father.

Even still, if we say that Lotor’s introduction mirrors his conclusion, there must be more than leaving him in the rift. Lotor gave Throk a chance.

Not much of one, sure. He basically tells his generals to let him die. Voltron did nearly the same thing, since the left Lotor in the rift.

If there’s more to this parallelism, please let me know, ex.if we do in fact see Throk again, that’d give us hope for Lotor.

Even if it is worst case scenario, we’ll always love our beautiful purple space prince, despite desperately needing some sort of redemption.

(Cause sorry, Romelle is sketchy as heck)
